Priscilla Presley’s face is the result of a plastic surgery scam artist

gla-003013.jpg
Everyone who’s seen Priscilla Presley in the last few years has had one question: What the hell happened to her face? Priscilla has always been a beautiful woman, but lately her face has looked frightening and plastic- much like the face of socialite infamous Jocelyn Wildenstein, better known as “The Cat Lady.” TMZ reports that Priscilla was the victim of a scam artist who claimed his injections were better than Botox, when in fact they were just low-grade silicone.

TMZ has learned Priscilla Presley is the victim of a botched cosmetic procedure. What’s worse — it was at the hands of a gigolo who was sent to prison for perpetrating an injectable scam on Hollywood’s elite

Priscilla, whose face looks … strange on “Dancing with the Stars,” went to Dr. Daniel Serrano around 2003. Serrano was a good-looking doc from Argentina who hooked into Hollywood’s social A-list and started giving them what he claimed were miracle injections that worked better than Botox.

In fact, Serrano was injecting industrial, low-grade silicone similar to what’s used to lubricate auto parts in Argentina into the faces of these women. Several women, including Shawn King, Larry’s wife, and Diane Richie, Lionel’s wife at the time, held injection parties in their homes, with Serrano needling them with the non-FDA approved drug that he had smuggled in to the U.S. Shawn King has said the injections created a lump in her lip that made it difficult to speak and drink liquids. Serrano charged between $300 and $500 a pop.

But wait, it gets worse. Serrano wasn’t even a licensed doc in the U.S. The injections caused lumps, paralysis and holes in the faces of some of the women (and some men) he injected.

Serrano, who was nicknamed Dr. Jiffy Lube, was indicted by the Feds for smuggling drugs, and the conspiracy and use of unapproved drugs. He was convicted, and last week he was released and is currently being investigated by federal immigration officials and could be deported.

BTW, Diane Richie was also indicted as an accomplice. She pled out and was placed on probation.

As for Priscilla — who had no idea she was being injected with silicone — we’re told she’s undergoing corrective work.

Paralysis and holes in your face? Damn! I wish Priscilla had spoken with natural aging advocate Jamie Lee Curtis before she hired this clown to ruin her face. She was a beautiful woman and didn’t need any enhancement whatsoever, and now she looks like a sideshow freak. I’d bet if she had this to do over again, she would have been happy with her natural born face– wrinkles and all.

Note by Celebitchy: You can get a good facelift and not look like a cat person with pinched eyes. It’s just a matter of letting the surgery settle and not getting constant botox and restylane touch ups. That’s awful that Presley was injected with industrial silicone! How dreadful for her. Even though she looks freaky and is a Scientologist, I still like her. The 62-year-old is also doing great on “Dancing With The Stars.” Here are clips of Priscilla on DWTS from this week and last.

  1. Its a real shame that our society’s emphasis and value on youth has led to this sad situation of older women and some men, opting for surgeries, botox and other miracle cures to prevent or ‘roll back” the years.

Here’s to older women like Jamie Lee Curtis. If older women only knew that they are sexy in their own skin we wouldn’t have such problems like we see with Priscilla Presley.

  2. I will take another angle to this; it’s up to the woman to take the blame, not society. Getting surgery done is a personal choice. Any surgery out there (cosmetic or therapeutic) came with a risk. Discarding this is a dangerous way to think.

If the woman out there chose to drop that idea of staying forever young, we would see a real change, not before.

  3. Isn’t it sad? Priscilla was beautiful and would have aged beautifully.

  4. Watch, Demi will be next.

I do think plastic surgery is a personal choice & really don’t feel one way or the other about it, except when its done in excess (a la Demi) or just plain ridiculous (Brit’s boob job at 16)

Today is my Mom’s 63rd birthday & she easily looks 10 years younger because she stayed out of the sun & took care of herself. She wouldn’t turn down a chin lift or a little lipo, but she’s not about to put herself at any risk for it

  5. Agree, syko. And I don’t think any type of reconstructive surgery is going to restore any real degree of normality to her features.

  6. OMG, that link to that cat woman! Really frightening!

  7. Its sad, she looks awful. Seeing celebrities like this makes me want to never have any plastic surgery at all. Has anyone seen Lauren Hutton? She has wrinkles and is still beautiful. Yes, she looks her age. She also looks human.

Priscilla Presley could scare small children with that face.

  8. I do have a measure of sympathy for them, even if they did it to themselves. Consider the pressure to stay looking young and beautiful in that environment or risk being out of the game. It would be very hard to give up the ego-stroking, money, and attention after all those years.

  9. Who does she think she is kidding, her face hasnt moved since the 80″s.

  10. I really enjoy watching Priscilla dance on DWTS, but the close-up shots of her speaking really disturb me. Her lower face is especially unnatural looking, and she must be conscious of this fact because she always puts her hand in front of her mouth when she smiles or laughs. So sad.

It also depresses me to see formerly gorgeous women–who are still in their 40s!–like Meg Ryan and Nicole Kidman now looking so plastic and strange. They would have looked so much better if they just gracefully accepted a couple of wrinkles instead of hiring a surgeon to sculpt these mask-like faces. Do they honestly think they look better now? So sad.

  11. I actually do feel bad for her. Fillers like botox and restylane are temporary. I’m certain she didn’t know he was using silicone and thought to herself, if it looks weird, at least it will go away.

I watched a special on Plastic surgery on E once where a woman talked about exactly this type of malpractice. The silicone is near impossible to remove once injected like this. Priscilla is probably grateful it is not worse.

  12. That would suck. To go in thinking “I’m going to make myself look so much younger/prettier/better.” and to come out having to hide your smile because you went to a quack and he messed up your whole face. :(

You’d think people would check into their doctor’s credentials BEFORE letting him/her anywhere NEAR their face/body with needles and knives. Geez.

  14. There should be three rules for avoiding premature aging and generally messing up your face:

    1. Don’t smoke.

    2. Stay out of the sun and the tanning beds.

    3. DON’T SCREW AROUND WITH YOUR FACE.

There’s something to be said for the character and personality in your face, and when you smooth it all out time and time again, not only are you not fooling anyone, you lose all the character and personality your face acquired throughout your life.

My nose? Is my father’s mother’s nose. I mean exactly. I’d never change that. It’s a small part of her I see every time I look in the mirror.

My eyes are my dad’s. My mouth is my mom’s. I don’t want to alter anything on my face. And I’ll be damned if I’m going to get shit injected into my face or get anything pulled, nipped or tucked.

    I’m pushing 40, btw.

  15. I agree with Orangejulius, although it’s tough because personal, brave decisions like the one Jamie Lee made to age naturally will have to be made by many women before society changes. And society gets increasingly f-ed up on the daily.

I feel empathy for her, but honestly, if you feel your looks are crucial enough to undertake this type of procedure, wouldn’t you thoroughly examine your doctor’s credentials? I know Priscilla didn’t do this personally, but getting facial injections at someone’s house???? Way to be cheap and lazy.

  16. Bodhi- I always agree with everything you say. I was just about to type the same thing about sun exposure. That and pulling on the skin around your eyes while applying makeup, smoking, ect. Avoiding those things will make you age gracefully.

Oh, and doing these things: drinking lots of water, exercise, eating healthfully.

I know it’s not as simple as surgery, but you can bet your ass you won’t ever be called “The Cat Lady” at 45.

  17. Genetics has alot to do with how people look while they age. It is not just the ovious such as eating healthy, not smoking, excersing and limited sun exposer.

This is from a Harvard Study, “With the passage of time, successful aging is remarkably free of genetic factors.”

  21. What I find funny, is that a few years ago she was on Oprah (I think) And was specifally asked about her face and having no lines. She said that she was always careful to move just her eyeballs and not her lids, etc. And to never furrough her brows, and she told Lisa Marie to do the same. The whole time, I was like, yeah lady, whatever. And now here is the truth!

  22. I remember seeing her on “American Idol” a couple years back when they had an Elvis theme night, and I actually shrieked out loud when they did a closeup of her face! It’s a shame, really.

  23. Oh, those lips. Painful to look at…

And that eyebrow, only a few people have it naturally.
Thinking of it, is Marcia Cross one of them or has she already been going for Botox&Inc. too?

  24. poor results are the result of “bargain shopping”. Find an experienced physician to do injections, not a celeb. I visited http://www.liquidfacelift.com to locate an experienced dermal filler injector. I suggest all do their homework.

  25. For 62, and having been the victim of a scam doc, she looks pretty good. Her neck and chin line are fine. Her hair is lovely…not like a lot of 60ish women who just get the old-lady cut. Her eyes look good, as well as her skin tone. The only problem areas I see, which may resolve after time, are the lips and the facial puffiness. I think she should also tone down the eyebrows a bit…they are too prominent.

  26. I never liked her-never accomplished a thing on her own, and anything she has managed to do is, let’s face it, because she used to sleep with Elvis Presley. Interesting too, how she didn’t like Presely enough to stay married to him, but certainly had no problem with the notion of keeping his name. Gee, I wonder why? (For answer, see the first sentence in my post!)

And, even with all that money, she STILL couldn’t manage to raise a high school graduate. Instead, I guess Pricilla Presley decided to run around with an exclusive little clique consisting of a bunch of other rich Hollywood wives-making her assertions that she’s “just like anyone else” even more laughable.

Well, she’s part of an exclusive clique now, allright. I wonder if she likes it so much now?

  27. I think it’s a shame what happened to Priscilla Presley. I would think it was a shame nomatter whom it happened to. At one time I had pondered some surgery myself and thought it might be helpful but after so many people are having so many problems, I think I will just grow old gracefully and accept what can happen on it’s on or with just plain old exercise and toning. James Brown had a wife to die after cosmetic surgery and they say Kanye West’s mother died after stomach surgery. I think Jack Lalane says it best. Eat right and exercise to keep fit. It’s time to go back to basics and leave surgery for emergency situations only.
