Many of us are still reeling from Tom Cruise’s great dance moves at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards, and Tom is still reaping the benefits of his hard work. He gave several interviews post-awards show, and there are even rumors that a full-length Len Grossman movie will be made, maybe by the same Tropic Thunder team. Regarding the dance, Tom admitted that he worked with Katie Holmes’ choreographer Tyce Diorio (I bet he did, that poor bastard), and Tom claimed that Katie “loved it. She was there while we were working on it… You know, I can dance a bit and we rehearsed, and my wife’s a dancer and so I like dancing. It was a lot of fun – it was great. It was a blast.” Tom was also talking about his beloved KATE and how they fell in love “at first sight”. Oh, Tom.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes surprised us all by staying together for so long. After the couch jumping fiasco, we all thought the relationship was all for publicity. Everyone thought it was fake except Tom Cruise himself. Tom admits that he instantly fell in love when he met Katie.
He told OK! magazine: “I knew that I wanted to marry her after the first day I met her.”
“What’s even more interesting is that Katie confessed that when she was a teenager she dreamt of marrying me. Doesn’t it seem incredible?”
Tom also talked about his bromance with David Beckham. He explained: “David and I became friends from the very start. I really admire him as a person, father, husband, and athlete. He’s absolutely fantastic. He’s got a great competitive spirit and he’s a tireless worker with a clear mind and a solid body.”

Tom kills whatever heterosexual vibe he was working when he starts talking about Beckham’s “solid body”. You know what words he wanted to use, right? “Hard, tweak, tender, tight, bronzed, lick, God-like, and bounce a quarter off that ass.” Speaking of how Tom is really straight and he and Katie don’t have a contract, Blind Gossip (via Dlisted) had a pretty good blind item about what’s going on between Katie and Tom at this point.
By the way, why is Katie groping Angelina Ballerina?!? It’s for charity! And Katie is a Furry.

Katie looks good in that blue dress. She’s looking better lately (MichaelK has that right), dressing better, her hair’s looking nicer – it’s all starting to work again.

The man is desperate for a hit and resorting to this lame performance at the MTV Awards with JLo – and she is a washup too – and purporting to make film about this skit proves it. He’s doing the relevancy dance.

This is funny given all the rumours that he ‘interviewed’ five actresses for the role of ‘wife’. I guess Katie’s interview was so good he wanted to hire/marry her immediately? Or was it just that all the other women ran screaming?

Katie’s hair is a few shades darker — black instead of dark brown, and those few shades really makes a difference. The black looks good with her light skin.

I’m probably just getting soft in my old age, but I am starting to think these two are for real. Their courtship and the early days of their marriage were odd to be sure, but it seems like they’ve settled into a happy life together. And Suri is friggin adorable. I doubt Katie is the pushover she’s made out to be in the media. Tom lately seems to have struck a good balance between his manic couch jumping days and his earlier heavily monitored days where he didn’t say much of anything. Perhaps I’m tired of all of the celeb bashing and just want to honestly believe the best about people and hope they really do have happy lives.

Love the look with the blue dress but that striped one is too close to her skin color and does nothing for her. Don’t like the messy curly hair either. It looks to me like the difference between getting dressed up on your own while in Mommy-mode and having time to actually have a professional help out.

Yeah, that might have been a giveaway. What other hetero male mentions a guy’s body when describing them? I mean, he’s DEFINITELY noticed Beck. Then again, maybe he’s got short man, ugly-man envy (b/c Beck is undeniably and classically attractive). The more I think about it, the more I think it’s just envy. It fits as much as anything.

Cruise said he was interviewing actresses for a small role in Mission Impossible 3. If that’s true, why wasn’t Katie in the movie? Or did Tom not fall in love with his wife’s talent (or lack thereof)? That’s a little insulting to Katie, that she wasn’t even good enough for a small role in his movie.

Does anyone else remember a few years ago when Tom Cruise stopped his vehicle on a highway to help a stranger who had car trouble? If I recall correctly he was alone so this was actually dangerous for him to do. Not something you hear of often…maybe ever. My point is that he seems like a nice person who lives a rarified life that probably few of us can relate to at all.
I like most of his movies, am not crazy about the Scientology stuff but it’s not my business.
He seems to be having a great time with his kids and wife. I would imagine he’s learning about life as he lives it, as we all do.
I wish him well and wish him a thick skin regarding the bashing that goes on.
