Life & Style’s cover story “Kristen Drives Rob Away” this week is epic in its brilliance. L&S claims that Robert Pattinson dumped Kristen Stewart because she was and is “such a downer.” Unfortunately, whenever Sparkles gets around Kristen, his Sparkle Dick gets hard for what a downer she is, and they get it on. But Pattinson isn’t going to play that game anymore – he “called it quits” according to the magazine. So why is this so brilliant? Because Kristen and Robert never acknowledge their relationship, so why would they come out and deny this story? Perfect.
Robert Pattinson has had enough of Kristen Stewart’s negative attitude and finally called it quits, Life & Style has learned.
In fact, Life & Style can reveal that Rob broke things off with Kristen earlier this year.
“When Rob was back in the U.K., he was totally fed up with Kristen and over it. He told her, ‘We’re done,'” an insider tells Life & Style. “Rob says she complains about everything and is such a downer. But when he meets up with her they start flirting again and get caught up in all the romance.”
But impulsive hookups aren’t enough. Unlike his character, Edward, Rob feels he hasn’t found his soul mate and is keeping his options open.
The magic may have drained from his and Kristen’s relationship, but Rob clearly hasn’t given up on his fairy-tale ending.
“There are still a lot of people in the world who desperately want to keep real romance alive,” Rob has said. “It sounds lame, but it’s the truth.”

So, is this for real? I think Kristen and Robert really care about each other, and they seem to actually put work into their relationship, traveling to visit each other and spending quality time together. Like, it’s not just about sex, it’s not just about the hookup, you know? But I wouldn’t be surprised if Sparkles did think Kristen was a downer, because that’s the way she comes across all too often. Meanwhile, Robert has grown into his fame very nicely, and generally seems like a very upbeat, positive person. And they are both so young – Kristen is 19, Sparkles is 24 years old. It’s not going to last forever. But I don’t think it’s over yet.

I don’t think these two are dating.
I think they are likely dating. They seemed darling on stage at the recent Twilight convention, talking, teasing and at one point, ignoring Taylor. He even acknowledged it by playfully turning his chair around. They seem very giddy around each other.
They are young, it won’t last forever, but they should enjoy each other and have fun while they can.
Denise: I couldn’t agree with you more. Do not get a vibe from them that they are a couple. Maybe a brother, sister vibe or close friend vibe but that’s about it. I somewhat get annoyed that other people insist they are dating one another. I am not jealous at all but I just do not see it and plus it seems that they have to be in this relationship for real.
These two have never been a couple. Just a studio fueled PR showmance to keep the insane Twihards happy who threaten with violence and suicide if the “epic couple” is in danger.
That’s why they have never been seen together alone but always accompanied by managers, agents, bodyguards, friends and all the “sightings” were set up by their studio.

I just think they are under pressure to pretend that they are dating. Or maybe the twilight fans expect it. Whatever the reason is, it does’nt seem like they are into each other that way.

I get the impression it is hookups or an on again, off again thing, rather than a real relationship. Oh well, they are still young for a forever thing and the whole Edward- Bella thing is probably fueling the feelings.

He is uber-friendly to anyone and people think that he behaves like that only towards her. I’ve seen him with other female co-stars and friends in photos and videos and he treats them like ladies but with Stewart it’s as if she’s one of the guys.
I don’t buy the PR theories. Rob said recently he would not “sell his private life.” And as a fan who believes Rob to be genuine and charming, it’s an offensive thought.

Nothing they’ve done indicates it’s anything but a PRstunt.
There’s nothing genuine or real about their behaviour.
They never ever act like a couple and look as if they can’t stand each other.
It’s a PR “relationship” and the studio sells it based on rumours started by gossip bloggers who are fed by the studio with “info”,they gain profit from the Twihard obsession while the crazy fanbase is making twitter sightings and photo manipulations up to fill the void of real PDA. The rest is history.
The rumour has grown into a monster and neither of them can get out of that mess til the last film is out and that is in two years. That is also the reason why they don’t give a clear answer. As long as they don’t start denying or confirming anything they aren’t technically lying.
What I find more disturbing , is the Kim K and Justin Bieber photo. WTF?

I can’t imagine these two together since they are so awkward. You cannot act being so awkward with each other like that all the time, so no, they’re not dating.

The thing that perplexes me, is they say they don’t see the point in answering a million q’s about whether or not they are dating. They say things like “if I answered honestly, that wouldn’t make it go away. So why bother?” That to me, implies that they really think it is silly and not worth the effort. So, taking that to its logical conclusion, would they really feel it is worth such a great effort to hide it if they were dating? No, they wouldn’t. The very nature of their sentiments suggest that they think the effort it would take to discredit it would be wasted. Not that they are making an effort to hide it. And if they ARE dating, they are making a valiant effort. Because there is STILL no actual proof. So it’s a contradiction. Just based on this, I do not think they are or were ever actually dating. I believe they just find the rumors silly, invasive, and annoying, and have made a mutual decision to ignore them.

I guess I don’t understand the intensity of the assertions that it is only PR. Why so invested? I think they are more than friends, FWB, dating on/off, who knows? Whatever makes them happy. But the folks who claim it’s a PR romance are really assertive.

Thank you for mentioning the age thing- these two are SO, SO YOUNG!!!
They’re not looking for a soulmate, a life partner, a future coparent and rocking chair companion. They’re looking for a big, sweeping romance and young love and energetic sex and all of the things that people who are college-aged generally look for!
It will run its course soon enough and they will both grow up and move on.

Really? I think they aren’t nearly as rabid as the twitards insisting they are dating, totally in love and will be forever. They dissect everything in an effort to “prove” they are together. Don’t believe me? Head over to that loon’s blog on E’s website. The posters there foam at the mouth at the mere suggestion the romance isn’t happening.
@whatever – I don’t go to any other sites. I’m sure there are extreme attitudes on both sides. I’ve heard about folks who place all their romantic hopes on Rob and Kristen being together forever and that’s frightening too.

Being a sucker for gossip sites, I thought it was common knowledge that they are together. Even since Rob said this to The Sun back in February:
“It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes. We can’t arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it’s impossible.”
And months before that they were photographed at a concert together as well holding hands while walking across an airstrip.
I don’t believe the break-up is true because of comments on other sites about how into each other they appear while doing publicity for their movie. You see how they’re both grinning their heads off with their mock game at the MTV Awards? Very sweet, they look pretty much in love. A bit too strong for what the magazine claims. No way would Kristen be grinning like that if she’d been dumped, I bet she can hold a grudge.
They’re definitely dating. I love that US Weekly also ran a story this week that has Rob obsessed over Kristen and wants to get married. LOLOLOLOLOL. Oh tabloids, will you never stop lying?

Well for one thing, Kristen is gay. It is so obvious by her mannerisms and dress, even the way she speaks. There is nothing remotely feminine about this chick. Rob has to go along with it, but it explains why she is always rejecting him. I wish they had picked a more feminine actress to play this part.
