After eight years of hard work, can we really call a woman a golddigger? I don’t think I can (exception: Kate Middleton?) Calista Flockhart put in 8 years with Harrison Ford, and just paid off big-time this week. TMZ was the first to report – with HuffPo confirming – that Harrison and Calista were married in New Mexico on Tuesday. The couple had been engaged since March of 2009. The ceremony was allegedly performed by New Mexico’s governor, Bill Richardson. TMZ thinks the event happened at the governor’s mansion! Fancy.

TMZ has learned Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart were married yesterday and Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico performed the ceremony.

We got the tip from Lisa Stanley at K-Earth 101 in L.A. and just confirmed it ourselves.

We’re told the couple was married in the Governor’s mansion in Santa Fe. Their marriage license was filed today in the County Clerk’s Office.

Harrison and Calista have been together for almost 8 years, and got engaged over Valentine’s weekend in 2009.

Harrison is filming “Cowboys and Aliens” in New Mexico right now.

Yes, Harrison has been raising Calista’s son Liam like his own, and there’s even been talk that Harrison would legally adopt him? And some sources claimed that Calista wanted to adopt again too. We’ll see. I was just looking them up to see the ages again – Calista turns 46 years old in November, and Harrison turns 68 years old next month. So… no comment. Look, if Harrison is still into it, God bless. Congratulations to the happy family.

Good for them. They certainly didn’t rush into anything. Best wishes for a long and happy marriage.

  2. ME says:

Why New Mexico? Do they live there?

  3. Granger says:

ME, the article says: “Harrison is filming “Cowboys and Aliens” in New Mexico right now.”

I can’t get over my childhood crush on Han Solo/Indiana Jones. Calista’s a lucky woman!

  4. Tess says:

Ford seemed like a bad boy back in the era of Star Wars I.

But now he’s more metrosexual than rebel….an aging, dyspeptic metrosexual.

The appearance of the earring marked the beginning of his end for me.

  5. MeMyself says:

    Granger! Me too!

Long ago I used to write to Harrison every Tuesday when I was a kid. I was convinced somehow we were meant to be.
My family loved to tease me about it…”yeah right, look at how much older he is than you…”

And Calista is only two years older than me!

I am pleased he has remained revelant in Hollyweird.

And for the snark about to come my way, hey, I was just a kid!

  6. Bella Mosley says:

Good for them. Very lovely couple.

  7. Kayleigh says:

68? No way. I hope I look that intact at his age.

  8. Cletus says:

I haven’t felt the same about him since he tried to kill Michelle Pfieffer in the tub that time.

  9. clare says:

Only Ally McBeal could tame the Beast.
Saw “Hollywood Homicide” on cable recently and Harrison F. was really likeable in it!

  10. Me1st says:

thanks for stealing my name ME…think of your own or are you a follower

  11. asiont says:

    so congrats!

I feel happy for them, they always look so great together

  12. Lara says:

    Congratulations.
I wasn’t aware Calista was ever considered a golddigger in this relationship. Sure, his account is bigger but hers is pretty comfortable too.

  13. TinaWithPom says:

They’re a beautiful couple. Congratulations to both of them.

  14. mary jane says:

    @cletus lol

  15. Kelaa Khaa says:

This couple looks genuinely in love; however Calista is starting to surgery into Meg Ryan territory so hope she stops getting work done and lets herself age naturally which seemed to work well for Harrison.

  16. lucy2 says:

Congrats to them! They seem happy and for real. I would assume that since he’s already been divorced twice, and she had a young son, they didn’t want to rush into anything so they took their time. I like how they’ve managed to stay low key and keep their relationship private.

  17. MsPittsburgh says:

    Gross

  18. lrm says:

i cant believe he’s 68! wow….nicely done. congrats to the happy couple.

  19. Karen says:

Why all the snarkiness about their relationship in the op? Was there some scandal I am unaware of? They have always seemed like a quietly happy couple who doesn’t feel the need to make a show of their relationship. Congrats to them.

  20. stinabelle says:

I don’t think it’s necessary to say “golddigger” in every single post about a couple that’s been together awhile but isn’t married. For some people, marriage isn’t a priority. It’s pretty misogynistic for you to keep saying things like that.

  21. Sandra says:

I don’t get why it’s hard work to be with your boyfriend for 8 years.
He’s handsome, talented, seems like a good father. Where’s the work?

  22. Jello says:

I agree, the “gold digger comment” and the “putting in hard work”, sounds very misogynistic.

They’ve always seemed like a stable, happy couple. I wish them all the best.

  23. mr. stinky fishface says:

I’m 25 years old and I would still to this day help Harrison make a baby. He was one of my first and biggest crushes. He seems like such a good guy. Congrats!

  24. Shawna says:

I’ve always thought they were a cute couple, too. She’s quirky and smart, and so is he. The absence of drama is telling in a good way.

  25. Amy says:

Gold digger? I’d marry Harrison Ford if he was broke and I’m only 30! He’s Han Solo and Indiana Jones FFS! Love him. 🙂

  26. Alarmjaguar says:

    Why NM, because it rocks!

  27. Nibbi says:

K no one is pointing out that Calista is looking gdmnd fantastic. I don’t see any “surgery into Meg Ryan territory” at all. Even back in the day when she was Ally McBeal she looked kinda tight and pinched like that. Hell, if anything she looks better than in those days- she has some boobs; her arms are thin but in a good way, not a sickly-anorexic way. I seriously hope I age as well and look like that at 46.
Is it just me, or did everyone point out how great Harrison Ford looks at his age(he does)and silently pass over her, since there isn’t so much to snark about? (‘Cept the one surgery comment.) I see massive double standard there- we are hell on women for getting older, whether they look good or not. It’s not the first time I’ve noticed that men get a total pass in society but c’mon Celebitchy-ers I expect better from you. Equality in snark !!

  28. Nibbi says:

also NM does rock and it would kick ass to be married in the governor’s mansion

  29. danielle says:

Jumping on the bandwagon that thinks this post was a bit misogynistic. Calista is LOADED – 2 successful tv series – she doesn’t need money. And why do we assume any woman in a long term relationship is plotting to get married?

  30. original kate says:

they seem happy. i like that they took their time to marry and didn’t just jump in like so many celebs seem to. i also like that they are pretty low-key. oh, and NM is really beautiful – love it there.

  31. jane16 says:

They are really lovely people & much respected in ent. ind. Congratutlations to them!

  32. Jeri says:

Congratulations. I hope they’ll be happy.

  33. Camille says:

    Congrats!
