There’s not a lot of new information in the People cover story this week on Jesse James and Sandra Bullock’s relatively sudden divorce. The piece is your typical People celebrity-friendly story and seems to be holding open the door for a possible reunion, as Kaiser reported when we covered the first excerpt. It includes insider quotes like “[Sandra] believes in a world where couples are together,” and “She loves the idea of raising children together, as a family.” They portray Jesse as a decent guy and a loving father who messed up, and the source claims “Jesse is definitely not giving up hopes to get back with Sandra – and he will do anything he can to get her back.” We’ll see if it works out for him. Given the way People is making this whole mess sound, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sandra is quietly giving him another chance. At least she made the split legal though.
One new detail in the People story is the fact that Jesse James’ first wife, Karla, 50, is also moving to Austin with Jesse. She’s the mother of his two older kids and it makes sense that they would make arrangements for her to live nearby. They write “the two are so close, in fact, that Karla, who lived just a few blocks from James in the L.A. area, has now put her place on the market so she too can relocate to Austin.” It makes you wonder if something is going on there, though. I’ve seen paparazzi photos of Karla and she’s very pretty. Jesse’s other ex wife, Janine Lindemulder, claims that he tried to hook up with her after he was with Sandra. You just know that dog will get some wherever he can.
Meanwhile James’ second ex wife, Janine Lindemulder, is claiming that James is using dirty tricks to try and sabotage her custody case. The two have been fighting for custody of their six year-old daughter, Sunny, and Lindemulder has only recently been granted visitation. Lindemulder told Radar Online that she believes that James is secretly using friends to try and put drugs in her food and drinks in order to ensure that she fails a drug test. Maybe Lindemulder is telling tall tales to cover her drugged-out ass, or maybe James really would stoop that low. I wouldn’t put anything past him, but that story stinks of ass-covering.
James did coerce Lindemulder’s ex husband into giving false information against her to the court. He also just presented the court with a bunch of very damning e-mails that Lindemulder sent his sister in 2008 and 2009. Those are apparently legitimate and make her look more irresponsible than ever. She goes into detail about not being able to care for Sunny and just wanting to get her hands on some painkillers. She writes on February 24, 2009: “I am hybernating in this house and sunny is suffering. I have all the curtains closed and I feel like someone is watching me all the time! all I want to do is keep numbing myself from facing going to jail… I am so depressed, sun is suffering, I can’t even find the energy to play with her. it’s 930 and I don’t even know what she ate today. can mark [your husband] get vicodin? i ran out from the ones my neighbor gave me. can one of you come out to calif.? I miss you”
In other e-mails she asks for help figuring out how to beat a drug test. She also discusses whether she should sleep with a guy for $25,000 and writes about taking illegal Ambien and Lunesta from Mexico – in the middle of the afternoon. It’s possible Lindemulder may have cleaned up her act since, but these e-mails make it seem like she is incapable of caring for the girl and needs to at least have court supervision during visits.

Does the court really believe that Lindemulder has cleaned herself up all by herself and is fit to raise children? Her psychotic accusations suggest not. Her husband retracted his statements after she worked on him for a while but his statements agree with her own e-mails so I just hope the kids don’t get hurt.
it’s so refreshing to see parents putting the needs of their children first. bravo to karla james for making sure her children continue a relationship with bullock.
those are the first pictures that I’ve ever seen of his first wife. and though you describe her as “very pretty”, I gotta disagree. I know the second pic isn’t great as she’s making a face but the first pic…EGAD that’s a big jaw.

Karla helped to look after Sunny after the scandal broke out so she’s probably friendly with Sandra too. I’m shocked she would move to Austin but I guess she really want her kids to stay really close to Jesse and Sandra.
Sorry, I just thik Karla is going where the money is. Look what happens when you cross Jesse. Piss him off and the checks stop or he makes your life pretty miserable.
He is uprooting his first 2 kids life so he can chase after a movie star using Sunny as bait.

I really think there should at least be an ‘allegedly’ somewhere in that statement. Lindemuller is showing all signs of being unhinged, making me trust the ex-husband’s letter more than the later theory of coercion…
And after seeing his first ex-wife I now believe that James really wants the classy, family-oriented yet independent women most of all.
And then he goes for the absolute dirt. (Although Lindemuller in their heyday probably was one of the classiest pornstars herself…)
I’m starting to think that he’s only able to let loose his (obviously strong) kinky ‘needs’ when he’s with the exact opposite of a classy woman.
I’d say if he’s still groveling in three years from now, he might have another chance with Sandra.
Sandra Bullock will lose a ton of fans if she takes up with him again. I like her but she’s dumb around guys, and her son needs her to have better judgement than hanging with a cheating neo-nazi. Looks like all his 3 of his ex-wives can’t shake him loose.
As a child of an addict, I for one think that Janine should never be let alone with Sunny. No matter his personal sexual vices, Jesse has never endangered the life and emotional well being of his daughter, and being locked in a dark house with a drug addled porn star and her ex-con husband certainly sounds like a recipe for abuse and neglect.
RE: Janine’s husband’s written statements. – I 100% agree with Wiley. I would like to add, that if your step-father is writing letters that your mother is incompetent – whether or not this is true – indicates that perhaps there is major trouble in this household. Is that a good environment for a child to grow up in? No. It’s not. Parents need to be stable and secure to raise stable and secure children. A household where mom & stepdad are fighting? Eh. It happens a lot but its not a great environment. This little girl would probably rather be with dad, Sandra and her half-siblings.
I think it’s sickening that he’s uprooting all those kids and dragging them halfway across the country to follow his ex. Stalking mother f*cker. I’m sure the kids want to leave their home, friends and school because their dad is a douche.
I can’t believe Jesse James is that low! I mean cmon! Sandra bullock is so lovely and out going and sweet and kind and Jesse would do that to her god! But the thing is I agree with Sandra. She says that there are many different ways of cheating but emotionally cheating I think is a bit worse. I’d rather have a guy love me and do it with another woman than not love me and not cheat. It hurts more knowing that they don’t love you but knowing Jesse James is trying to get her back that’s sweet! But I’d say “hell no!”
Maybe she’s moving the kids tonAustin so they cN get the eff out of LA and all the bad vibes. I’m sure those kids would rather live in laid back Austin as opposed to LA, especially with what happened. Maybe a new start and place will be really good for the older kids.
As for Jesse and Sandra. I think they wouldve worked the cheating out if the public hadn’t known. She had to separate herself from him, at least on paper. But they are far from being done.
It does seem that he’s ripping apart the lives of his older children, who are old enough to be aware of what’s going on, for his youngest would’ve-been child, who doesn’t know he exists, really.
For work, my father used to fly from NC to CA on Sunday night or Monday morning, then fly back on Friday afternoons. Every week. Prior to that, he lived in a European country and came back to the U.S. for a week, about every 3 months. We children were able to continue with our lives without having to follow him. Jesse has enough money that he could even charter private planes to take him to visit whenever he chose, so why is he disrupting the lives of his actual children again? Selfish b.
Not sure why anyone would want to live in Austin, TX. Its a real hellhole in the summertime. 103 degree temperatures. Stupid little college town.
