    Stupid twit.

The whole paparazzo thing with Britney was a symptom of, not a cause of, her mental instability

stockholm syndrome is not mental illness

Have you looked in the mirror lately Gwynnie? Everything about your insipid presence screams anemia = not enough oxygen to the brain

    go back to your tofu

I’m not clear on how Gwyneth is qualified to diagnose…well, anything. I mean, yes, the paparazzi can be a menace. But it’s sort of weird to hear that from someone who is “taking a break” from her acting career but makes a point of going to openings and posing for the cameras, and giving interviews.

eh – “insane” is the most overused word in society today; it now has little true meaning. i wouldn’t put more into gwyn’s comment than what was there. her bottom line is: the paps are the ones that drive you to act crazy.

Drugs, zero boundaries, and plain old stupidity are what drove Britney to the edge. Is she making her way back? Who cares.

And that snake venom shit that Gwyneth smears on her face isn’t worth a damn — she looks beat.

I don’t care for Gwyneth at all. Beside the point. I think she is right. The media and papparazi drove Britney crazy. They should leave Britney alone. Besides people are getting tired of hearing about Britney.

I have never liked this pretentious self-absorbed idiot. Let us not forget her “I like the english better, they are far more intelligent than american, they speak of politics and art at their parties where in america all anyone wants to know is if my jeans are seven for all mankind”

Stockholm Syndrom is when a person who has been kidnapped finds an attachment and affection for their kidnappers. Not really what the paparazzi did, a v v small coincidence but not really the proper analogy.

Besides, isn’t the whole Britney crazy thing a bit dated? odd this would be what she (as intelligent as she is) chose to speak about to the press.

“love” is the most overused word in society, anyways i think that britney was mentally unstable before receiving so much attention the from the media, and most likely she enjoyed the attention. Her constant drinking and drug use didn’t help her situations either.

No, eight years plus of illegal drug use coupled with untreated high-end manic depression and being surrounded by users, sycophants and leeches drove the girl to madness.

Go back to pretending to be English like your buddy Madonna, stupid breeder.

    Let’s see…

Britney wants attention, Britney calls paps, Britney throws tantrum, Britney takes drugs, and Gwennebeard blames the paps?

So, can I use her logic to totally blame my cell phone company for my ordering from QVC?

Those celebrity blame anything, anybody except themselves when something goes wrong.

If something good happen, then it’s about them, not someone else.

    Good try, Ms GP.

ugh, let’s forget for a moment that I cannot stand this pretentious snob (aside from the fact that is a good mother,) Brit Brit was off her rocker before the paps started chasing her down like neighborhood children stalking the Good Humor man.

  15. Tania says:

Um, I beg to differ. Britney has tons of money and no sense. She never had a normal childhood, and then became her family’s breadwinner. She became sexualized at an early age and never learned how to live like normal people live. She thought getting married and having babies was “playing house” and soon found that it is a harder gig than she thought it would be. All the while, her family either didn’t care or really couldn’t do much since Britney was always all over the place. I feel bad for her in one way and don’t in another. I wish I had tons of money and didn’t have to punch a clock and drag myself to a job everyday, worry about bills, stress over a mortgage, car payment, have to pay for daycare, etc. I would stay the hell home and enjoy my kids if I were her, but she HAS to be out and about and always exactly where the paparazzi will find her. It’s a symbiotic relationship between Britney and the paps. She encourages it. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Some paparazzi DO go too far, but Britney can send people out or order whatever she needs, so I don’t see why she always has to be out where she can be photographed – it’s excessive; a compulsion. And I will never understand her compulsive need to patronize gas station bathrooms! Britney, life is hard for everyone. At least you have tons of money and don’t HAVE to work a boring everyday job and live paycheck to paycheck like most people. You could get a college education and earn a degree (something to be proud of!) and you have the resources to get help and straighten yourself out to then become a good mother to your sons. Get “right” and then you will be ready to fall in love with a man who truly loves you and who does not merely want to use you for your body or your money. I know you can do it! I’m rooting for you Britney!

How can she possibly blame the paps for Britney’s troubles? The paps did NOT make Brit run all over town with her crotch hanging out!

HOW CAN THEY DRIVE HER INSANE IF SHE CALLS THEM ALL THE TIME?

SHE LOVES THE ATTENTION, SHE CRAVES IT AND I BET SHES GOING CRAZY NOW THAT SHE DOESN’T GET IT.

She didn’t call the pas Sam did. All around her said they saw no drug use, she likes to drink. She was bipolar long before the paps started harrassing her. They made everything come to a head, made matters way worse. Britney will not be taken advantage of again. And I think it’s great lots of celebrities are rallying in her defense. Yes, I agree, back off her. You are not in her shoes, so you have no idea. Best wishes to Britney!!!

I’m gonna have to agree with Gwyneth Paltrow on this one. The paparazzi can drive any celebrity crazy. Perhaps that’s why Jamie Lynn got pregnant? Maybe why a lot of celebrities do wild and crazy things, not just Britney. Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan come to mind. Damn those paparazzi! I’m glad I’m not a paparazzi. Boy, am I glad.

Gwyneth, you misinformed and irritating know-it-all, it’s called saying “NO COMMENT.”

What a hypocrite! Just by making that quote alone about Britney, she contradicts herself and contributes to the swirling whirlpool of gossip generators that she accuses of having ‘blood on their hands.”

My advice: Just comment on your films that no one goes to see, collect your six figure paycheck, and keep your holier-than-thou mouth stuffed with tofu, or whatever it is you eat!

Gwyneth is related to Elizabeth de Villiers, the reclusive london writer from kensington who lives in buckinghamshire with 4 dogs – gwyneth used to vist her once a month in her Range Rover, so locals said, and enjoy a drink in the local 400 year old pub. Apparently she’s quite an intellectual – unlike Gwyneth!
