Miley Cyrus has received a seven figure advance for her memoirs at the tender age of 15. Her book, which will undoubtedly be ghost or co-written, will cover her astronomic rise to fame from not-so-humble country star dad beginnings, and will be published by Disney Book Group.
Miley has issued a statement saying that she’s oh so excited to let everyone know how much her family means to her:
The book will focus on the 15-year-old’s road to fame, from growing up in Tennessee to navigating the spotlight as an international star, and how her family – especially mother Leticia – helps keep her grounded. According to Disney, the book will feature never-before-seen photos, family stories and a look at the star’s inner circle.
“I am so excited to let fans in on how important my relationship with my family is to me,” Cyrus said. “I hope to motivate mothers and daughters to build lifetimes of memories together, and inspire kids around the world to live their dreams.”

This girl probably hasn’t had to write an essay in years, and now she’s getting a million bucks to put out a biography that either someone else will write or that all she’ll have to do is dictate, with someone else putting it together and editing it to make a compelling story. Miley has a private tutor, according to Wikipedia, and E! Online says that she goes to school on Fridays to take tests, so maybe I’m wrong that she is unskilled at writing, but you know Disney isn’t going to give her a million bucks and send her off on her way to write the thing.
Meanwhile more semi-scandalous photos of Miley hugging her previously-unknown maybe-boyfriend have come out. Earlier in the week the tween set let out a collective gasp at a photo of Miley lifting up her shirt to show part of her bra while a dark-haired guy around her age placed his hand lightly on her hip. Another picture showed Miley laying across his chest. The guy has been named as Thomas Sturges, but not much more information is available about him.

I am getting a little sick of celebrity nepotism. It’s bad enough that they get music deals (Kelly Osborn), movie roles (Connor Cruise), TV shows (take your pick, there’s hundreds), ect. But as someone who is trying to get a book published, this REALLY pisses me off on a personal level.
Every time something like this happens it’s a slap in the face to those of us out here that have to work hard and go through the process like everyone else. How many actors have to move out to LA and live 10 to an apartment eating noodles for weeks on end just to make it? How many musicians have to work their way up through sleazy dive bars for chump change before they get a contract?
She seems to be a moderately talented singer, so I almost don’t begrudge the fact she’s a mega-millionaire because of who her father is. That being said, I don’t see what kind of profound statement about life she’s going to make at 15 years old. Memoirs should probably wait till the point you’re not going to get distracted by doodling unicorns on the notebook cover.

Definitely these two need a chaperone. I burst out laughing at the double duck lips one, I think it’s no. 4. But there’s too much hotness going on there, I don’t think they’ve stopped with the peck on the cheek goodnights, and she’s too young. So is he.
The book. What in the hell does a 15 year old know about life? Who is interested in reading her biography, other than others 15 or younger? And yes, Scott, it’s annoying when you work so hard to do the same thing that’s handed to her on a silver platter. Bah.

Exactly, Syko — what does a 15 yr old have to write a memoir about, please. Maybe when she is 60 and can look back at a long (or fleeting) career, etc. then it would be interesting. Who am I kidding, this is, as someone mentioned above, for a bunch of 10 yr olds, so 15 must seem ancient.

Tweens love biographies of their favorite celebs. They don’t care that she doesn’t have much of a life to recount yet. She’ll tell them what she eats for breakfast and what her favorite lipgloss is and sell a million copies.

May be photos r correct , but 1st, 4th and 5th, photos are 100% fake. She is so innocent, good girl, but she is so freinkly. She has also a child behaviour, and that is good for all teenagers for his/her memories. She has no embarasment, and that is the best way for success

No, the pics aren’t scandalous but her body language toward this guy is an indicator of a kind of sexual intimacy far beyond her years. If I were her parents and cared for more than just the bank account numbers, those two would NEVER be unchaperoned.
As for the autobiography, I don’t care how well educated a 15 year old is, they rarely produce literary masterpeices. But then again, the ten year old who are reading it, think Hannah Montana is compelling television. They aren’t exactly looking for the next Hemingway.
