At first, I only saw Drew Barrymore’s dress – at last night’s premiere of Going the Distance – from the waist up, and I thought it was a cheap-looking cocktail dress. I was very disappointed, because Drew recently brought the glamour and the beauty to a recent red carpet for Nylon – she looked amazing then, not so much last night. I don’t care for her “growing out the blonde” hair (which needs to be brushed), and now that I’ve seen that the dress is a full-length gown, I still think it looks cheap. Very Vegas showgirl.
As far as Drew’s costar and on-and-off boyfriend Justin Long… well, who knows what’s going on with them? Allegedly, they quietly split up a few months ago, but most people have noted that Justin and Drew seem back “on” for this promotional tour. Friends with benefits? Sure. Especially if the dude loves going downtown, as Justin Long seems to adore. I don’t really find Justin attractive, but he seems like he’s a nice guy, so whatever.
Two more people of note were at the premiere – Christina Applegate and her baby bump in a vivid purple, and Kate Beckinsale. Now, Christina is actually in the movie. Beckinsale is not. But Kate still tried to out-do the stars!

I think the dress is fabulous. I think the belt is a little off putting but overall I love the look.
I just wanna nominate Justin Long for Hot Guy Friday. Please. I have been watching Drag Me To Hell on HBO and its really good. Justin doesn’t have much of a part in it but he is sooo hawt in it to me, he is exactly what I would my dream guy to be in that movie and in real life. Justin is sooo sweet and kind it seems. Funny. I bet he is charming. Justin seems really dependable and plus he will go downtown. I would so never break up with him. Drew hasn’t had much luck in the love department maybe she is just unsure if she can find the right guy, but I would say Justin is it.

I think Drew looks stunning and I love the dress. It fits her beautifully. I, however, have a panic attack as soon as I see one centimeter of roots so I am a bit distracted by her hair. I think she is just lovely. Someone I would love to go for a martini with.

I like the dress, I don’t love it but it’s not ugly, besides it looks great on her. But the belt? ugh.
@LOVE ANGELINA Yes, Justin MUST be in the next Hot Guy Friday, specially if he loves going downtown. He’s hot, not in every movie though, but I felt attracted to his ‘stupid but cute’ smile more than once.

I think she looks adorable. I love her-she never takes herself too seriously. And he’s a doll. When he made the jump from “Mac Guy” to acting I wasn’t thrilled about it-but now I’ve seen him in Drag Me to Hell, After.Life and He’s Just Not That into You… I’m a fan. I was just telling my husband last night that this actually looks like a funny movie!

I like the dress and I like Drew’s overall look. She is 30-whatever and dosen’t try to look 20. Her personality might be a bit annoying but I love her sense of style. She always looks a bit avante garde, sexy, and like she doesn’t give a damn.

PS I veto the Justin Long for Hot Guy Friday. He isn’t hot. He might have been a good science lab partner, but he isn’t even geeky sexy, just blah. He always has that same floppy haircut and he always looks like his nose is about ready to drip.

I think she looks cute, and she is very successful at most things she does, producing and directing and she won some awards for grey gardens and she overcame a pretty drug addled type dire childhood. Don’t care that much that she hasn’t found lasting love, although I think she loves geeky funny men, she married Tom Green and I still can’t get over that, its about her only possible not so great moment IMHO.
Oh and I nominate Scott Speedman for hot guy fridays, he is just yummy..

The dress is neither cheap nor fabulous. It’s OK, nothing great. I do think her face looks beautiful though. And she looks REALLY into Justin, although maybe she’s just posing and being fakey-fakey for the cameras.
Kate Beckinsale doesn’t look like she’s trying to outshine anyone. Her dress is simple and understated.

I like Justin. Liked him ever since Galaxy Quest. He’s not handsome but he’s cute and I think he’s had a few hot moments. I’m not liking Drew’s dress and she needs to brush her damn hair. Christina A. looks fab in purple. Pregnancy seems to agree with her, she’s glowing.

Is Christina wearing heels still? I remember when I was huge and pregnant my feet were so swollen I don’t think they made heels big enough for me. I recently found an old pair of flats that I wore while pregnant and they were so stretched out.

I really like the dress and belt. She looks age-appropriate, for a change (and I like her a lot, just not her style, normally). Her hair color was actually was on purpose? Brazilian Highlights? Looks like she’s been growing her hair out and done nothing to it, for about a year. Not even a trim. Like back in the day, when they decided to grow their hair back to it’s natural color, and they either didn’t know how, or didn’t have the money, to add low lights to the bottom, or a few highlights in the brown, to blend the whole thing together and not make it so obvious and two-tone. I’ve noticed Cameron Diaz does the same thing. I don’t like it on her, either. JMO.
