These are new photos of Uma Thurman out and about on Tuesday, sporting a strange ring on her ring finger. Engagement much? Could be. Uma is allegedly still with billionaire Arki/Arpad Busson. Uma and Arki have had a famously tumultuous relationship, breaking up and getting back together several times over the past few years. Last December, it’s thought that Uma (or maybe Arki) broke off their then-formal engagement after a huge fight. But since then, they seem to have gotten back together. Who knows, though? Eh. He’s rich and he famously doesn’t care for formal commitment – he wouldn’t marry Elle Macpherson after two sons and a nine year engagement, and he seems to have a pattern of loving and leaving beautiful women, etc). Here’s a closeup of the ring… it doesn’t look like a diamond…?
Here’s the kicker though – X17 put up these photos a few days ago – Uma and Arki on vacation in Italy, Uma frolicking around in a bikini. And the bikini is small – and Uma’s belly is roundish. She totally looks pregnant, and I’m not saying that in a “Uma has a pasta baby” way. She looks PREGNANT. She also seems to be wearing the same ring in the X17 photos. Uma is 40 years old, by the way. And she already has two kids with ex-husband Ethan Hawke. Just FYI, I’m not judging her.
Anyway… I kind of think Uma is knocked up and their engagement is back on. Not that he’ll marry her… but I think he would be stupid not to. Uma is a catch! And she seems like a cool woman.

Years ago I was at a diner in Manhattan when I realized Uma and Ethan were at the table next to me. The waitress arrived with an eggwhite omelette and a bacon-eggs-pancake combo platter. Uma had chosen the latter – and thoroughly enjoyed it – while Ethan prissily picked at his. Woman won my heart there and then.

I don’t think she ever starved herself down to nothing, after her two children were born.
So I am thinking this is her just looking like a normal 40 year old with two kids. With a healthy appetite… and good for her!

He scares me a little. I love her though I don’t think she’s the best actress out there, but I love the roles she chooses and I’m sorry but Kill Bill was the f*ucking bomb! I hope she is happy no matter what, despite the ugly chunk of a womanizer she dates.

Never understood the Ethan Hawke love, and couldn’t watch that movie they co-starred in (Tape), too tedious. Used to see him all the time in the hood, and just shake my head with wonderment — what was she thinking? There’s always been an elegance about her… loved her in the Tarantino flicks and she was the perfect June! But I’m not gushing. She’s just a beautiful woman. Possibly with crap taste in men.

I really like Uma I think she’s a great actor. I saw pictures in another site and thought the same thing, that she looked pregnant. I really never understood the “she is so hot” factor. I think she is ok looking, and she’s really looking old in these pictures. But I totally think she has a cool personality. I loved her in Gatica. And that’s were I fell in love with Jude Law.

Never thought she was that pretty, though sometimes she can be. In one of her movies she has little plastic barrettes going up the entire length of the back of her head and it looked so hideous and I think it was supposed to be sexy. And this guy is smart not to marry these women. Why should he get saddled with paying for their upkeep the rest of their life? Maybe one day he will meet his match. Until then there are tons of women willing to put up with him to get the good life for as long as it lasts and if they can throw in a kid or two even better.

@meme, you know I think the whole “beautiful people” thing is more the result of which men are willing to approach women like Uma. Only guys with bank are likely to think they can keep her attention, and of those guys I would imagine she’d pick the men she is attracted to.

i thought these were going to be ‘little belly’ as i ‘early belly’ as you said…
but that’s not that early-could be 3 or 4months….and, her boobs,b utt, her whole body-i’ve never seen her ‘gain’ that much weight just randomly, in all the years she’s been int he spotlight.
she IS beautiful-but in a unique, celestial kind of way. Ephemeral. And cool. So glad we have an actress who is unusual out there-she picks eccentric roles, too.
Charlize Theron is maybe the only other one who could be like that….

No, she’s not pregnant…and that ring(rings)looks like it has little pieces of turquoise on it…no sign of a big diamond.

She looks definitely pregnant to me. That belly does not look like old pregnancy weight to me, although my mother had a pooch like that for years til she hit menopause and got thinner, but that looks like a solid belly to me, not just flab. Time will tell.
@ cinekat: Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed that story! I guess I’m not surprised about Ethan’s prissiness. And the fact that she is a woman who is not afraid to have an appetite makes me like her more than I used to.

He does not appeal to me but I recently saw a picture of him with sunglasses on & he looked totally hot. Something about hiding his little-bitty eyes made him hot.

I’m much younger than Uma and my belly looks like that after a good meal or with just plain bloating. It’s called having a kid and not getting your abs back in shape. All mothers recognize that profile. Yes, I look at myself and realize I’m the same width as when I was 3-4 months pregnant (I compared pictures) but that’s the price I pay for being lazy. And no, I’m not overweight, just pudgy-er than before child.
