Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer’s new romance hasn’t been thwarted by his rumored dalliance with a blond at a bar. The two good looking famous people were photographed poolside at the Mandarin Oriental in Miami yesterday. Aniston put her arm around Mayer in the pool and they were seen cuddling on the lounge chairs afterwards. Just Jared notes that they had a workout session together just prior to this and were cooling down.
Mayer performed last night at the wrap party for Aniston’s film Marley and Me, in which she stars with Owen Wilson. According to In Touch, the party was rescheduled to accommodate Mayer’s performance:
After filming for three months in Miami, Jennifer Aniston has big plans for the wrap party of Marley & Me, including a special performance by her new man, John Mayer! In Touch can reveal that the celebration will take place at Nikki Beach in Coconut Grove on May 10, where the sexy rocker will perform at least three songs. According to an insider, the party was originally supposed to take place on May 9. “Everything was changed at the last minute so John could do this for her. He’s crazy about Jen.” The pair have fast-tracked their romance and the insider says, “It’s hot and heavy but in that very cool way.” The insider on the set adds, “John isn’t going to hide his adoration and he’s telling everyone what a cool chick Jen is.” Looks like this relationship is anything but a wrap!

Mayer handled the big tabloid hoorah over their first photographs together extremely well, saying “This is me living my life and a guy with a really powerful lens and I don’t fault him. There are much worse problems in the world. Everything’s cool!” These two are really growing on me and I’m actually rooting for them.
Mayer has a new video on Funny or Die in which he makes fun of his douchebag persona. He’s wearing a tracksuit in the clip and acting full of himself. At one point he’s talking to some music producers about song concepts and says “How about something everybody can relate to, like when you’re f’ing one supermodel and the other ones jealous?”
The guy is not my favorite person and I don’t get him, but he’s not as bad I thought he was. Maybe Aniston is mellowing him out. Or maybe they have, like habits together, that help them mellow out. Nudge nudge.

This is either an ill advised plan for publicity, or a really bad choice in men. But then look at her career, other than torpedoing her roommate to get the part of Rachel in Friends from her, every thing else has been ill advised and awful….’rumor has it’ anyone?

Marley & Me might be great for her career if it does well. It has Owen Wilson in it and the book was a smash hit.

I think they look cute together..Even if its only for a couple weekends..so what..they are having fun and not hurting anyone..I think her career is fine, if she never wanted to work again in her entire life, she has the money to do just that..I think this movie will do well!

It’s interesting how some people believe that having enough money to never work again must mean you have a successful career. But the majority of actors are very insecure people who are constantly seeking acceptance and adoration. So I would think that success for an actor is more about impressing audiences, peers and critics with your talent and range, and the best of them do that by choosing interesting roles in thought-provoking films. JA, on the other hand, is best known for playing the slightly ditzy love interest in generic romantic comedies. Maybe that’s success to her, but personally, I find her pretty nauseating.

Look, she is 39, rich and healthy, dumped by her famous husband PUBLICLY. Sure she is getting some jobs but obviously she is not next Meryl Streep. So she thinks to herself, what the hell, let’s enjoy the moment.
Other than sitting at home and feeling miseable for yourself, watching news about how many kids Brangelina are brooming, girlfriend is enjoying herself.
Bad taste in man? Probably. So what? She always has bad taste in man, including Brad Pitt.

The guy knows how to make fun of himself and enjoy the success he has found. The girl is financially secure, enjoys her work and is surrounded by good friends. Sounds to me like both of them are doing fine. I begrudge them nothing. If they enjoy each other’s company — go for it.
However, from my perspective these pics aren’t portraying a “couple” vibe, more like friends — maybe with benefits. -

Sniff. Sniff. I smell a publicity stunt. If it isn’t and they are really into each other and having a good time then I’m all for that. I’m not sure why John Mayer is considered a douche. Is it because he talks too much sometimes or the emo vibe he give off? Anywho I still think he’s kinda hot, at least in these pics. And Jen’s bikini bod looks Mmm-mmm good as usual.
