I’m okay with SJP’s dress, but the shoes seem kind of heavy for it. Well, at least she’s not wearing those seemingly ubiquitous gladiator sandals. It’s very Carrie, though, which is no doubt what she’s going for.
-
I think Cynthia’s dress is the best, SJP’s dress is second best.
All the girls look great!
-
Kristin’s dress is quite fine but I like Cynthia Nixon’s the best just my humble opinion. That being said:
Did SJP’s nose come in another limo ? Nail the doors shut, burn the building and salt the earth afterward.
-
Who cares if she has a big nose? At least she hasn’t gotten a nose job! I think she’s gorgeous and quite talented. No one is perfect, not even celebrities.
-
These ladies have both class and talent. They look great!
-
There’s nothing more fun than someone who is willing to take a fashion risk! Love live SJP and Cher — keeps thing interesting. I thought all of them looked good–didn’t care for Kim’s shoes with that dress though
-
SJP is wearing waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much eye makeup!
-
SJP had a very subtle nose job in the 80s. Google for the old one.
-
All of the girls look pretty good, I think. To my surprise, Kristin Davis looks the best. She’s my least favorite, but I think her look is very, very good here.
-
Her dress is a little 1950’s prom, but the fit is AMAZING! I think she looks fantastic. (Nose job and all!) With the exception of the shoes, which I think don’t go at all… kinda weird since I usually love her shoes.
I like Cynthia’s dress the best.
-
Matronly? Man if she wears something more revealing, she’s slutty. But if she dresses more age appropriate she’s a prude. She can’t win.
-
Kristin looks amazing and Kim Cattrall I just want to unwrapped! The other 2 not so much.
-
McQUeen designs are inspired by his Mother the showgirl…SJPs dress has a very showgirl from the 50’s bodice…love the colour. Cynthia looks the best. Chic.
-
i can’t stand that hat!..or the shoes…but SJP’s dress is quite cute
The Red on KC looks fab, however i agree with you CB, the fabric is to heavy, and the fold at the bottom is all wrong for her- also not a fan of the strips.
CN’s dress just doesn’t work at all, a V neck would have been much better
KD’s dress is much more modest then i would have expected- however with her recent “scandal” could be she wanted to play down her sexiness! love the shoes!
I’m Kinda dreading this movie…Carrie has some of the WORST DRESSES…and the most awesome shoes- all mixed up together >.<

It seems obvious to me that the stylist(s) for these outfits has(ve) tried to find a balance between the actresses and the SATC characters.
The hat Sarah Jessica Parker is wearing is definitely a nod to Carrie. The dress and shoes seem more appropriate for SJP herself. The three elements just don’t really fit together. Even red shoes might have been a much better choice for this look. But all in all, McQueen’s dress has an amazing bodice and is stunning (even the colour although I am no fan of green).
Kim Catrall’s look is supposed to be a chic version of something eclectic and show-off Samantha would wear on the show. I can see some tartan/kilt dress inspiration there but the result is not good. The fold at the hem simply looks odd and wrong… I wonder if the fabric really is that heavy or if they might have put some inserts into the fabric for the lower part of the dress.
But that particular red is perfect for her (and she does wear a lot of in the SATC episodes).Kristin is definitely very close to Charlotte on this red carpet. I find it a little too prude and not chic&sleek enough for the SATC movie premiere though…
Cynthia Nixon has a lovely but simple dress. In SATC’s last season, her character did start wearing sexier clothes in comparison to the earlier episodes of the show. So this dress doesn’t surprise me although I find the crossing parts of fabric on the top to be a little too heavy looking and unflattering for the whole look. But the dress does suit her very well : colour, cut, length and all.
And of course, I can’t wait to go and see the movie although we all know the plot already and some outfits on paparazzi shots seemed truly fugly.

I LOVE the ladies of “Sex And The City.” They are all so fabulous and I can’t wait for the movie. I would love to design dresses for them.
-
I was there, in the front of the crowd! They all look so amazing in person especially SJP and Cynthia. It was so much fun and I can’t wait for the movie!

I normally adore fellow-Galweigan Philip Tracey’s designs; the man is a genius (and I love visiting the lounges in “G Hotel” in Galway which he designed - along with little sculptures of his pet doggie
can’t quite afford to stay there alas) The more I like it, the more I do think it’s cute, not wonderful but cute… but I really really really don’t like this on SJP. Or maybe if her hair was more structured and a little less lacksadasical?
I actually think Kim might have pulled it off better

Someone said SJP was NOT sexy. I agree. She looks like she is ready for The Kentucky DERBY..Face like a HORSE
