Radar Online has an interesting take on the Aniston/Mayer relationship that’s pretty much the same thing MSat said when she first laid eyes on the photos: it smells fishy. Why would these two be all over each other poolside at a public resort? Neither of them are the type to flaunt a relationship to the press, and Aniston even covers her face and hides when she’s out with someone. She was photographed in candids with Vaughn like two or three times and they were supposedly dating on and off for over a year. So what happened that changed? Are they both in on some publicity joke on the tabloids or is Mayer using Aniston for publicity? He was super low-key about it and surprisingly open when asked. She has a lot to gain, too.
Which brooding, shaggy-turned-’80s-haired pop star, who thinks he’s much deeper than he actually is, blogs about his obsessions—expensive guitars, expensive watches, expensive haircuts—on a Japanese website, and has dated a wide array of stars, has recently taken up with yet another actress in a pathetic attempt to boost his Q rating? The singer tried to get noticed for his new haircut, and when that didn’t work, he gave this desperate wannabe-housewife a call.
Yes, John Mayer’s at it again. Last weekend he was spotted kissing Jennifer Aniston, and photos of the pair looking suspiciously happy were conveniently taken in Miami. (Interesting for a woman who zealously guards her privacy when she feels like it.) Mayer’s appetite for coverage in the celebrity weeklies was undoubtedly whetted by his on-again, off-again relationship with Jessica Simpson, which finally ended for good in June 2007. Since Simpson, he’s “dated” with Cameron Diaz and Friday Night Lights starlet Minka Kelly, both of whom were good for photo ops and breathless tabloid items. Of course, it goes both ways. Aniston has a lot riding on this fall’s He’s Just Not That Into You—she has to prove that the success of The Break-Up wasn’t just due to her ex Vince Vaughn, and it would also help for her to have a relationship that doesn’t end with her being portrayed as needy and desperate. Guys, it seems, just aren’t that into her lately.

According to the latest issue of Star Magazine, they’ve been having an on-off f’ck buddy arrangement for at least the past year and a half. They are said to have first hooked up in the fall of 2006 after meeting at a party hosted by Sheryl Crow. There were other relationships for both of them in the interim, and Star claims Mayer told Aniston he would dump Jessica Simpson for her, she only had to say the word. They also say that “John talked Jen into having a real relationship” after they kept it secret for so long. Maybe they are together, or maybe they’re using each other and the press to a mutual advantage. You have to wonder why they’re all over the place and neither of them really seem to mind or try to hide it.

You know what, she looks great and people need to leave her alone. If she’s private, people cry, if she feels confortable enough to go public, people cry.
Just get over her and let her live her life. Who the hell cares how and when it started, they are both adults. -
Wouldn’t it be hysterical if it turned out she was seeing John while still married to Brad, and SHE is the adulterer and two-timer? What on earth would the anti-Angelina crowd do then?
I think she and John look fine together and if they are each what the other wants, then more power to them.

Maybe it’s just that she’s living in a hotel and it’s harder to get privacy there. At home she can sunbathe by her pool without any papparazzi.
But I have a theory. It seems like in the past few months Jennifer has really crawled out of the shell she’s been in since the breakup with Brad. She’s back to work, doing like 5 movies at a time, planning a production company, dating hunky guys. She just seems alive again, like her life is really back on track.
I think the thing with Brad really threw her, and that kind of thing takes a long time to recover from–especially since she is constantly bombarded with pictures of him with Angie and the kids.
Jennifer is usually very discreet but has been far less so since she’s been in Florida filming “Marly.” She’s been photographed on the set a lot as well as sunning in a bikini at her hotel, before John Mayer was around. I’m very happy for her that she’s obviously having a great time and enjoying life, and not fretting about photographers.

She’s about to turn 40. Maybe she just got sick of sneaking around all the time and decided to let it all hang out. Having a hot younger guy is not bad for her image, either.

If you read the entire ridiculous Star-it said she actually met John in 2002-a meet and greet when she was married to Brad and it was at an Oscar function.So haters forget her cheating on Brad…As for the rest of the stuff-sounds like typical Star to me…who knows…they’re dating…they seem happy…who are we to judge…Maybe she finally decided to live her life and the hell with what people/media/blogs say!

#15 - I didn’t mention that they met in 2002 according to Star because that was not that relevant in that they weren’t said to have kept in touch or anything like that. They didn’t hookup, according to that article, until the fall of 2006 after getting reaquainted at a party a few months earlier.

she is doing 5 movies? Crap…this chick can not act. I was hoping she would just fade away. I watched the ‘Break-up’ the other night on HBO, it was awful.
Vaughan is funny and he was awful…maybe she brings out the worse in actors. As far as her personal life goes, it is hers, do what she wants and hopefully she is happy.

Once you turn 40…something happens to a woman. You just don’t give fk anymore and do whatever you want…and don’t worry about being judged….me thinks that is what this is. She’s enjoying herself and doesn’t care who knows it. She’s way over Brad, Vince and game playing. He on the either hand…bleh! He must be good in bed or these chix wouldn’t give him the time of day…what a pansy.

The secret admirer that was all the buzzzz if you google Jennifer Aniston secret admirer you can read all about it. I think it was John and I think it took some time but Jen finally gave it and it looks like she’s really happy now that she did
