Kelly Preston made a solo red carpet appearance last night at the Toronto Film Festival. She was premiering her film Casino Jack, which I’m not even going to look up. I noticed these photos earlier… she’s gotten really big really fast, hasn’t she? She looks like she due very soon, sooner than I was thinking. People Mag makes a big deal about how this was going to be her last red carpet appearance until she gives birth “to a baby boy.” I could have sworn they confirmed they were having twin boys, right? Oh, nevermind – that was a tabloid story that they denied. So Kelly is just having one baby, a little boy.
Even with her late-fall due date swiftly approaching, Kelly Preston is not slowing down – with the glowing mom-to-be visiting Canada for one final public appearance before giving birth to a baby boy.
“It’s been very easy and so wonderful,” Preston, 47, told PEOPLE at Thursday’s Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her movie Casino Jack. “I’ve had no morning sickness and [the pregnancy] has gone by so quickly. I feel terrific.”
Dressed for the red carpet in a stunning black one-sleeve, off-the-shoulder, Marchesa sheer gown with dazzling jewels, Preston – without husband John Travolta – proudly showed off her baby bump and says she’s already started to count the days until her expected due date.
“John and I are completely ready. My daughter [Ella Bleu, 10] is very excited too,” she says. “I can’t wait for the day to come.”
Another date Preston is anticipating arrives in December, when Casino Jack goes into release. Starring opposite Kevin Spacey in the drama about former lobbyist and conman Jack Abramoff, Preston is marking her fulltime return to acting since the January 2009 loss of her 16-year-old son Jett.
“I’m thrilled to have been in this film, and I loved every minute of it,” says Preston. “I love this film because I hadn’t been in a movie in over a year, so it was nice to be back.”

I don’t usually think “conspiracy” but this woman just doesn’t look pregnant to me! Neither her arms nor face show a trace of bloat. I hope that she is and that everyone comes out of this healthy (not a hater!) but she doesn’t look pregnant.
She definately looks pregnant with a boy.. her boobs are HUGE! You can see the weight gain in them. Everyone knows that you dont always look bloated when pregnant.. some days are worse than others.

I was skinny in the face and arms right up until the last couple weeks of my pregnancy. I’m 15 years younger than her, though, so who knows.
I know people accuse me of being crazy but I think people who wanna believe these crazy ass conspiracy theories are just as nuts.
Uhhh her face is certainly bloated, her upper arms are big, her breasts are freaking huge and her stomach is big. The woman is knocked up and you can get pregnant in your 40s. It happens more than people think.
I mean I just can’t wrap my head around the crazy sh*t people think up. If there was some proof or evidence ok but people really just blow my mind with this sh*t, like she is pregnant, deal with it.

John and Kelly are lovely couple, yet I can’t help but somewhat believe the gay rumors that have come out about John. With every rumor, there is some level of truth. Just plain weird. That belly is suspicious.
It is entirely possible to be pregnant at 47. She most likely used a donor egg, or an egg of her own that had been frozen earlier. Hormone treatments would enable her body to carry through a pregnancy. Older women do it all the time!
So – pregnant via a donor egg or running around with an FX expert to keep your prosthetic glued on. Which seems more likely? Come on people.
I tend to believe the rumours. Something just doesn’t seem right here. She looks like her breasts and stomach have been padded.
I have a lot of trouble believing honestly that any celebrity would do something so outlandish as to fake a pregnancy. I mean, it’s not the ’50’s. In this day and age, when every single person has a cell phone camera or when some kid in Ohio can hack into your iphone, there is no way it could be kept secret. And in any case, the potential fallout would not be worth the risk.
Also, these “conspiracies” are always based on such bs. Her face doesn’t look fat enough, her arms are skinny, her bump is too small. Every woman carries her pregnancy different. My sister-in-law’s face blew up like a balloon the first month of her pregnancy. My husband and I didn’t even reveal our pregnancy until I was five months pregnant and I didn’t even have a bump at that point.

@ LoveAng-I could not agree more. I’m totally indifferent to K Preston but I find it REALLY hard to believe that she would fake a pregnancy. After what these people went through with the death of their son, I can’t imagine supporting hurtful rumors like this.
Remember Angelina still had skinny arms when she was pregnant? Some women swell up all over, some are all belly and boobs.
If you will notice in all of her “pregnancy” photos, she positions her hand to be sure and give the camera a silhouette of the baby bump.

One of my friends who was pregnant also totally did NOT look pregnant except for a basketball shape under her shirt. From the back, you couldn’t even tell. Her face, arms, legs – exactly the same. It was so bizarre and yet, she was very much 9 months pregnant and had a healthy baby girl.
It seems unbelievable a 47 year old could be pregnant, but if they did special procedures to make it happen. Her breasts do look bigger.
Let me just say that even w/doing IVF to have my daughter (so I was pumped full of EXTRA hormones for the 1st 12 weeks), I had zero bloating, and had hyperemesis gravidarum-a severe form of morning sickness requiring medication throughout my whole pregnancy. I lost 55 lbs, and just barely had a belly-when I checked in on the maternity floor, they thought I was only about 6 months along. But oh joy, my DD’s went up to DDD’s.
It has nothing to do with being pregnant in your 40s. Of course that happens.
It has to do with Kelly, not her age.

I don’t care how many Travolta fans come on here and defend Kelly’s pregnancy, you don’t gain that kind of weight at 47 and NOT have a fat face. It’s also somewhat inconsistant that for an older mother with a history of troubled pregnancies, she wasn’t kept on bedrest or restricted from traveling. And yeah, there are any number of women who have babies at 47, (no, not really) but this one seems like it was concocted in fantasy world.
I’ve just seen her interviewed at this red carpet event. She just said that it’s been an easy pregnancy with “no morning sickness.”
While I am undecided about whether they are faking it or not, these are the people who wouldn’t admit their son had autism and supposedly keep a freezer full of wigs.
So I do believe they would be capable of faking a pregnancy due to other “strangeness”

But… a few weeks ago there was this little blurb somewhere that the Travoltas wouldn’t sue the people who know what really happened when Jett died, those people who tried to blackmail the Travoltas, according to the Ts, and what they mentioned everywhere shortly after Jett died. I wonder why.
As to fake pregnancies: has everyone forgotten about Kate (!) Cruise who went shoe shopping for hours the night before giving birth to Suri?
When I was pregnant, people said I looked like ~ 5 months along the night before having my healthy 5½ pound daughter, but I couldn’t have gone shoe shopping, not for all the money in the world.
I was just thinking how oddly shaped her preggo belly is…it really looks fake to me. There is NO bloat in her face or arms…and it just looks like she has one of those mrs doubtfire boobs and belly things on. They do this in the movies all the time…making women look pregnant. With these two’s resources I could totally see them faking this.
Yeah, I’m going with the Hollywood Blind Item about the fake pregnancy. What I’m hoping though is that she is not trying to somehow “replace” her son through the birth of this son. No matter how crazy all the Scientology stuff may get, what happened to them was a tragic loss and I hope that they don’t compound upon that.
I usually don’t buy into the tabloid stories, but I really do believe this woman is NOT pregnant. At 47 years old, she has less than a 5-10 percent chance of actually conceiving, let alone the high risk of a miscarriage and complications through out the pregnancy.
It’s clear to a lot of people this is completely fabricated, probably to deter people from thinking that John Travolta is hooking up with dudes.

stop being so stupid people not all women have the same simptoms of pregnancy. a prostethic belly is strapped on not guled. if you don’t believe me look at Mae in the Movie Cat On A Hot Tin Roof she’s 6 months pregnant the entire time and it’s clearly a pad. there are times when women will fake or lie about a pregnancy for example if she’s had a miscarriage before or just been hired for a new job. but particularly the former because it’s hard for a mother to attach to another pregnancy emotionally after having lost one or multiple pregnancies in the past. some use humour as a protection Mechinism in that situation like for instance when Joanne Woodward famously said her best actress academy award was her favorite child until her daughter Nell was born about 3 1/2 months after the interview in which she said it. as the pregnancy with Nell had been an accident after a heartbreaking late term miscarriage during her & Paul’s honeymoon earlier in 1958.
I doubt Kelly would fake a pregnancy her and John have wanted another child for a long time. she was never having twins that was a tabloid fabrication.
Her arms look fat and have lost muscle tone like mine do right now at 6 months pregnant. If people call that thin I wonder what they call fat?
The only thing I can think of her faking her pregnancy is because she doesn’t want to be judged as deliberatly replacing her son, where as if it is her own body caring the baby it can be called a “happy accident”.
Some women have periods till they are 60, so I don’t think her age is the issue.
My reasons are the same as @MSMLNP.
Also, I don’t think she looks pregnant. I don’t mean b/c her face isn’t fatter (it isn’t) or b/c her nose is excatly the same (though that may be due to previous plastic surgery). It’s b/c she just doesn’t look it. Zero change in her features. Zero. She doesn’t even ever look tired in any pictures.
I know every pregnancy is different, but I think it is a 50-50 chance that the lady is wearing a Lee’s Press On Baby Belly. You never know with Travoltas.
@MSMLN-I was WAITING on someone to bring this up. She already had one child who was autistic-and they wouldn’t admit it. After the age of 40, the odds of a child being born with autism, downs, etc… increases exponentially. Now obviously Kelly and John have the means to take care of a sick baby, but seriously why risk that? There are tons of kids who need to be adopted, ya know. Brad and Angelina can’t take ALL of them 😛
@lola, I waited tables throughout my whole pregnancy, and on more than one occasion my big belly was pressed against a counter or table. It really isn’t any more uncomfortable than being pregnant already is!

I’m just here to add to the ‘fake bitch, not pregnant’ counter.
She looks pregnant to me but I’m sure they did IVF. At 47, its nearly impossible to get pregnant the old fashioned way. I know, I tried for years and if I’d have the money, I’d have done IVF too. I wish them the best. They are very lucky.
I don’t know if she is really pregnant or not and frankly, don’t care. I like this couple. They are low-key, he is adorable if you have ever seen him interviewed and they lost a son in a tragic way. I also don’t care how they chose to treat Jett’s autism since lots of parents choose different ways of treating a disorder their child might have. He looked like a happy boy and was loved and cared for. Also, I know two women (I worked with both) that had very late pregnancies. Both had never been able to conceive and both, along with their husbands had given up on having children. One woman was 45 and became pregnant. She was so afraid it was something else she wouldn’t go to a doctor until the baby began kicking and she knew she must really be pregnant. I know another woman who became pregnant at 53. She thought she was going through the change so was very surprised. It was very late to have a baby in life but the child was very wanted, is loved and is also in a gifted program at her school as her IQ tests at genius level (so much for old eggs not being very good). Anyway, Kelly might have needed a bit of a boost to get her eggs going and John may have donated his sperm via a turkey baster but no matter. I hope they find a measure of happiness and peace with this baby. There is no greater pain than the loss of a beloved child.

When I was preggers with my 2nd baby, I too had no weight gain in my face and my arms were skinny. So I do believe it’s possible.
And yes, I agree with those of you regarding their risk of another Autistic child, especially at their age…unless perhaps they used another young woman’s egg.
Lastly, I too, like” Kate Cruise”, shopped like crazy at target getting my nursery ready for both of my kids ( separate pregnancies) the day before I went into labor.
But I will admit this pregnancy is a bit odd for their age. However, they lost their son and I’m sure that was a horrible experience for them. People deal with grieving in different ways. I hope all goes well for them !!

I don’t know whether or not she’s pregnant, but I do know women who have had no bloating whatsoever throughout their pregnancies. I also know women who have had tremendous bloating. So it depends.
I have my suspicions that this is fake.

Well I was concieved naturally at 44, and my IQ is 150. I’m one fine physical specimen too.
They had pics from the event where she wore the glued on belly (yes, Courtney, they can be glued on), it was a big Scieno event where Lois Aldrin (Buzz’s wife) was honored for all of her special Scieno works. Her belly was higher in some pics, lower in others. No one in H’wood believes she’s preggers. I cannot believe any thinks she is. It was said John has wanted to leave forever, but she talked him into giving her one more child. These ppl are as weird as they come, don’t confuse their acting with their real personalities.
How important do you think you are that anyone even cares if your pg? This whole story is boring. Yeah, she’s going to show up somewhere with a kid in a few weeks. Yippee for her.

I was really happy for the Travolta’s when I heard about the pregnancy until I remebered the story I read in Star Magazine a few months BEFORE Kelly became pregnant that explained the she and John were going to try to have another baby as a “tribute” to Jett (whatever the hell that means) and as Scientologists, also believed that there was “a very good chance that Jett would be reincarnated to them as the new baby”. WTF TIMES A MILLION!! When I heard that they were having a boy my heart sank because I coulsn’t help but think that this poor kid is gonna have one Hell of an upbringing with his parents believing that he is the second coming of his lost older brother….sends me shivers (if it’s true).
Okay, I will disagree on the part about pregnant woman always holding their abdomen for pics, or holding the “bump” in general for that matter. I’ve known PLENTY of women who never did that, nor did they tend to touch their abdomen in photos. In fact I’ve never seen any of the women in my family do it in a photo, ever. When an actress plays pregnant in a show or movie and is constantly touching her abdomen, to me it’s rather fake looking.
Also, I wouldn’t necessarily believe the blind item, either; it seems to me that a lot of blind items are 1. conveniently printed right after wild speculation runs rampant on various gossip sites like this one and/or after a news story about someone (like the recent one that seemed to strongly imply Celine Dion had a baby years ago as a teen with her now-DH) and 2. never are proven true. I love blind items, but really feel like a lot of them are phony these days.
All that being said, I’m still open minded about KP faking it.
Her age isn’t the issue with me…it’s their scientology cult that is the issue. I would not put it past desperate people to do desperate things, especially if they are scientologist followers. They just lost a son and now they are replacing him. That is just creepy to me. It seems like yesterday that Jett died…it seems like this is how they are dealing with their grief.
I’m not a fan of the Travoltas (I do believe he’s gay) and I hate Scientology but you guys are crazy if you think she still looks thin. I think she looks fat! Not just her belly and boobs but she lost definition in her jaw area and has a bit of a double chin. I can’t imagine her getting fat just to fake a pregnancy. I also think her arms look bigger, though not that much. I’m not sure why everyone thinks pregnant women are supposed to gain 80lbs. I freaked out when I hit 30 the day before I had my son. Especially being in her industry, I don’t think she’d get bigger than she needed to. Also, I think they had IVF with at least a donor egg if not both egg and sperm and they most likely tested the embryos beforehand to ensure none had a genetic disease.

She’s 47, not 80. My first mother-in-law had two sons in rapid succession in her mid-40’s. Both were healthy and she didn’t look like a dropsy victim during the pregnancies.
