It’s always funny to think about Kate Winslet as a tabloid celebrity. She isn’t really, in America at least. But I guess she’s had some bouts with tabloid fame in Britain – and she’s even sued a few tabloids and magazines, and that’s probably why she lives in America most of the time – she gets treated like an actress, not a tabloid celebrity. However, Kate has been doing some Jessica Simpson moves lately. Since her split from husband Sam Mendes, Kate has only been dating one dude that we know of – male model Louis Fowler. Kate and Louis have probably been dating for about two months or so, and Kate pretty much gave him a tabloid roll-out, posing for candid photos with him just weeks into their relationship. If she was American, she might be getting a “Revenge Divorce Diet” tabloid cover right about now.
Not to say I dislike Kate’s moves – she and Louis were in Madrid last night for a Vanity Fair party, and they amiably posed for lovely-dovey photos that I tend to think are aimed partially at her ex-husband. Something like, “See, he doesn’t think I’m boring! I’m fabulous, a–hole!” And Kate does look fantastic. I don’t know if she’s on a Revenge Divorce Diet or whatever, but her figure looks great and her face has settled down after it looked like she was heavily Botoxed late last year and earlier this year. As for Louis… well, he’s no David Gandy, but he’ll do. He’s very cute, but he’s not “pretty” which is nice. Kate can be the pretty one!

I used to adore her. Not now. I think she’s all over the place when it comes to her expectations of an intimate relationship.
I think Sam was a major catch for her…she was SO happy when she got him…here was the mature intellectual her first husband was NOT.
But now it’s a model? She’s starting to resemble Christy Brinkley in her pattern of men. (And I think she’s nuts.)

She’s one of my favourite actors and she’s gorgeous, but the fact that those (and the others) pictures look so stage makes me like her less. I mean, I love the fact that she used to keep her private life private… Ok, there’s no need to think that she’s becoming a famew*ore, probably she’s just trying to enjoy her life more or to be less contrieved, who knows…

I do believe her and Sam are divorcing because of rumors about his infidelities with that same actress who is The Town with Ben Affleck. I love Kate, she is beautiful and seems very kind hearted. I recently saw pics of her and Sam at their son’s soccer game and they are co-parenting superbly.

Kate’s treated like an actress here in the UK not a ‘tabloid celebrity’….not sure where that impression came from.
I thought she’d moved over to the US because she’s a hollywood actress, like other Brits.

YUM! He is delish and she is beautiful. Her ex gave me a weird Simon Monjack (RIP) vibe (looks only – I think he is a talented director). I have always thought she was fabulous so if she is happy, good for her. At least she isn’t out whoring around and snorting drugs. Refreshing to say the least.

“Matronly” Seriously? I think she looks great, sort of modern but still classy.
He’s pretty hot, I might be tempted to parade him around too. However, as a fan of her work and of her keeping her life pretty low key, I don’t want her to turn into a tabloid celeb. She’s way too good an actress to have her life start to overshadow her work.
