Someone wake up Mother Crackhead, her baby just entered rehab for the FIFTH time. What, you can’t wake her up? She was doing tequila shots with Shawn Chapman Holley until 4 a.m. That’s okay. She’ll find out tomorrow. So… tat’s number five, Dina. So when Dina is asked about it again, on yet another of her Mother Crackhead media blitzes, and she gets the “So your kid was has been in and out of rehab five times – aren’t you a horrible mother?” question, we all know the real answer. The real answer? “Lindsay is playing HARDBALL, and she was FIRED, basically.” Or something.
Anyway, TMZ is dancing about this because they somehow got the first confirmation that Lindsay officially went back to rehab today. According to their sources, Lindsay plans to stay in rehab crackhead lockdown until her October 22 hearing. Will she be white-knuckling it until then? Or will she “magically” be cured in one week and somehow be back to crack shenanigans come next week? I know where I’ve got my money. Meanwhile, a source tells Us Weekly: “She finally admitted she needs help to fix her addiction.” Yeah… “admitting” that you have a problem is still a long way off from “acknowledging that you have to do the heavy lifting of getting healthy instead of just falling back into your crack-hustling, day-to-day, shenanigan-filled life.”
UPDATE: Go to Radar and look at their exclusive photos of Lindsay the day before she checked into rehab – she’s posing with a BOOK! You’ve got to think that she crack-hustled at least $10,000 out of Radar for those photos.

Whatever-you can’t cure a personality disorder. She self-medicates and drowns her issues with drugs and alcohol. Which is why she can go without for so long…but then she turns to sex or manipulating people as another hobby. I gotta say my money is choice B!

So, so sad about this girl and I wonder if she will ever get sober. Unless she does some major personal housekeeping with people in her life, she’ll always be surrounded by people wanting to feed off of her for the small amount of celebrity she has left. And Lindsay continues to believe the lies the leeches and sycophants tell her: that it’s not her fault; that it’s other people’s fault; and that she’s a victim, etc., ad naseum. It is deeply, deeply sad that such a beautiful and talented girl is allowing herself to be trashed because she won’t admit her responsibility for her own life and her own choices. This is as pitiful as it gets. As an aside, I often wonder if celebrity is so wonderful and something to aspire to, why is it that so many celebs spend so much of their time coked up to their gills? Really, if it was such a great life and they have everything they ever wanted and the celebs are so happy, why do they seem to spend it wasted where they can’t even enjoy how great their life is? Even the ones that don’t appear to have a problem are doing all kinds of drinking and drugs — isn’t that for escapism? If you’re life is so good, what do you need to escape from?

Yep much easier to comply with her strict bail conditions and stay free until the hearing by entering rehab.
I don’t really think it is for the Judge if she gets 30 days on October she will be in and out on the same day and because it is a sentence the Judge has no control over when she is released.
There is rumours she went to Betty Ford but that seems too hardcore for Lindsay
4 could become 5 failed rehabs at 24 and 4 mughsots that will likely increase to 5 on October 22nd.

I think she uses drugs as a means to stay in the media spotlight. Look at how much attention she gets, versus if she was just out partying it up. The paps would have stopped taking pictures long ago of her partying, as it gets boring. “Oh look, Lindsay coming out of another nightclub. What’s this, this 97th day in a row now?”
However, when you mix drugs and the law, you evoke people’s emotions, whether it be sympathy, anger, disbelief, etc. and they want to know what’s going to happen, and VOILA! Lindsay is back in the center of attention.
I think she’s wanting to try to be like Robert Downey Jr. here. Though he really did have a problem and he really did want to get better. Also, he did not court the paparazzi like Lindsay does, so her credibility on wanting to get better is tenuous at best. Plus, her attempts at serious movies resulted them in being major flops, so there again she differs from the might RDJ.
I think Lindsay’s next plan to stay in the media is to “accidentally” OD, except she’ll be saved in time of course. Thus stirring up emotions again, and grabbing a few headlines in the process.

In matter of the epidemic we call drug addiction such stories are NEVER to be ridiculed. LL is a slave to chemical imbalances and is literally going through hell. Because even when you’re under the influence it is NOT pleasurable. It’s addiction is and always has started, as a cry for help. Lohan is from a demented and abusive family and I can never look at her without feeling pain and pity. People need to be less harsh on her and more enouraging for her to get well.Do not excuse her but do not add to her suffering either. Give her somthing worth gettign better for. Otherwise what is the point?

She even almost went to rehab in March 09 around the time her and Sam broke up but they didn’t accept her.
Lindsay was DESPERATE to have this case over in July she attended all the classes and passed all the tests.
What she done before she was out on bail couldn’t be changed and after the sentence was imposed in July it seems like she is stuck in a cycle.
Formal probation is usually imposed to keep people out of jail not after they have been sent to jail and not when in their 3 year probationary they haven’t added any new cases.

@Innocent, you’re right she did attend al the classes. however she failed to comply with the judges orders on how often she went, thinking that as long as i go i’m fine. that wasn’t the case. Also the place she was taking classes is under investigation for not reporting her for missing said classes. it was a clear violation of her probation.
I want her to get better, and i’m giving her the benefit of the doubt, but she needs to get away from all the “yes men” in her life. I’m not giving her a pass for breaking her probation that got her into this latest mess. that was her mommy telling her laws and probation don’t apply to you sweetie.

Not really important but didn’t Lindsay go to a couple of rehabs for a day or two? That may be why Dina didn’t give the correct number of times.
I have to agree that Lindsay’s biggest problem is her personality/mental problems. It seems like everytime she gets bored she does drugs. I think she had a problem 3 or 4 years ago but is just mentally unstable now.

She did fail to comply with the Judge’s weekly orders but it wasn’t as clear cut as that.
On December 15 when the Judge imposed the weekly order she wasn’t at the hearing.
She first failed to attend a weekly class in January when she was stuck in North Carolina and there was 6 other instances until May. However there was a status hearing held in February and the Judge said “everything looks good”
The Judge didn’t provide a written order to the program about the mandatory weekly attendance so it wasn’t enforced and all of Lindsay’s absences were excused.
So basically in May when she was informed that she had to attend every week she did,completed the program within the deadline and the D.A was only asking for 30 days.
When was the last time it took 5/6 hours to determine whether someone went to a class every week. The Judge was too involved in the case and it was the prosecution that got her removed.

The Radar story is totally, hilariously ridiculous. Soo…she is “admitting to having a problem”, but if you look a that Radar article, apparently all of Lilo’s problems stem from her inability to sleep:
“She has been shooting films into the wee hours of the morning since she was 11 or 12 years old and then sleeping in trailers while on the set.”

I said it at one point– the major difference between LL and RDJr (I won’t mention talent, I’ve never seen LL act so I can’t judge) is that somehow throughout his YEARS of problems, RDJr somehow, miraculously managed not to burn any bridges. People both in Hollywood and in the public sphere, *wanted* him to get better and *wanted* to help him– and he was self-aware enough to take the hands reaching out for him.
I don’t see either scenario happening with Empress Entitlement.
ETA: As I also said before, IMO RDJr had a much more screwed up childhood to overcome– his own father got him addicted to drugs before he was 10 years old. Dina had little on Robert Downey Sr.

I’m a huge proponent of studying and addressing the underlying root causes of behavioral disorders.
The etiology of a mental illness is crucial to understanding how a subject develops and processes maladaptive cognitions, thereby better equipping them to resist maladaptive impulses.
I don’t if Lindsay is suffering from depression and self-medicating with a drug addiction; or if she has a biochemically induced personality disorder that she supplements with drug use. . . But I’d be willing to lay down money that she doesn’t think she has a problem.
Bitch is too self-important to change. Why be famous when it’s much easier to be infamous?

@Innocent-Just because a defendent does not attend a hearing regarding probation requirements(ie..weekly addiction classes) does not mean they are not responsible for knowing what their requirements are. And furthermore, I seriously doubt her very capable atty did not outline, in detail, what was expected of her to comply with probation. Regarding the “shady” Right On program -this was Ms. Lohan’s second change of programs-they hauled her ass to court due to nonattendence of her original program and moving into a new home and not registering her new address with the court. Remember? Her excuse? She didn’t like the program that she was currently enrolled in(probably because they expected her to show up) and asked the court to let her switch to the Right On program. Now we know why-they weren’t zealous about her attendence. You can keep making excuses for her all you want but the truth is-an excuse is simply a cop out and not a reasonable explanation for one’s behavior. If anyone can look at that photo of Lohan during spring fashion week 2010 in New York (pink fur coat taken jan or feb 2010) and still insist she’s not tweaking on adderall (she’s crushing it and either snorting or smoking it) and/or doing blow you need serious help yourself. Lohan may be in denial of her addiction(which I believe is wrapped up in an eating disorder to stay thin for movie roles), but do we have to stay in denial as well? This woman needs a intervention to save her LIFE not to save her public image and gain favor with the court.

It’s astounding to compare the horrifying pic at the top of this story with the most recent pic of her at her latest court hearing.
This pic above is hideous. She looks wasted, washed out, the victim of horrible lip injections and her skin looks like a corpse.
In the newest pics of her with her hair back to red…her skin looks pink and creamy and there is a glow about her.
That is due, no doubt, to the lack of drugs and alcohol during her stay in jail and the “rehab”.
Kaiser: It would be amazing if you could post some earlier pics of Linds alongside the newest ones from court.
It blew me away how much better she looked. She actually looked human and not like she was going to go into convulsions any sec.

I think it’s pretty much the same with anyone who has an addiction. It’s not so much the substance as it is the behaviour that leads to the substance. It’s “easy” to cut out the substance, but much harder to deal with long-formed habits, behavioural patterns, triggers, coping strategies, etc. If the person isn’t self-aware and not willing to do the work to overcome all the things that leads them to substance abuse, then nothing will work. They’ve got to be ready, on their own, on their own time. You can’t actually – usually – force this kind of personal change. Whether Lindsay is only she knows (although I’m going to assume she doesn’t know, but is figuring it out. I hope for her sake she truly is, instead of just trying to buck the system yet again…it would be depressing if she was just intent on doing the same old thing. but then again, addicts usually are depressing…).

Ally McBeal wasn’t really a success as far as showing Robert was dependable. While on the show he was arrested a couple of times for drugs. That’s why he was written off the show. What the show proved was he’s really talented and gave people a reason to give him a 12th chance. Lindsay doesn’t have that luxury.

Innocent, why are you on a crusade to convince us that Lindsay hasn’t done anything wrong and always make excuses?
We know how to read. We see the pictures and can see the drastic changes in her appearance, and those of us who’ve known people who were into heavy drug using know how you look from all the drugs.
The main thing about Lindsay is this:
She ALWAYS has an excuse for everything she does. With Judge Revel, the whole time in court she was busy writing a list of excuses for everything, instead of owning up and accepting that yes, she did fuck up, and she should take the full consequences of her actions.
However, she’s convinced herself that she can do no wrong. This is why Lindsay pisses off so many people. To her, the entire world is about Lindsay.
She sees nothing wrong with taking something that belongs to someone else (remember the fur coat incident?), manipulating people to get what she wants, endangering other people’s lives, etc
She doesn’t think the word “no” applies to her. Nothing is ever her fault. I bet if you and her were together and got in trouble for something you both willingly participated in, she would immediately point the blame at you, saying it was all your fault, that she was a victim.
And yet you still defend her. I find it all sad.
