Ryan Gosling & Kiki Dunst look really interesting in ‘All Good Things’ trailer

Last week, I put up the new ‘Shopped poster for All Good Things, a film starring Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst, in the true story about a notorious unsolved murder in the rich, ritzy enclave of old money Manhattan. I didn’t really know much about the film at the time, but now I do. The description: “A love story and murder mystery based on the most notorious unsolved murder case in New York history. The original screenplay uses newly discovered facts, court records and speculation as the foundation for an imaginative spellbinding story of family, obsession, love and loss.” Well, the trailer is out now and… I might have to eat sh-t for making fun of Kiki. Kiki looks interesting in this movie. Not as interesting as Frank Langella and Ryan Gosling, but still, she looks like she’s holding her own:

See? It looks good! I keep hearing all about Blue Valentine and how Blue Valentine is IT and Gosling is going to get another Oscar nomination for Blue Valentine. What about this? Maybe it’s not Oscar bait, but you never know. It’s giving me Reversal of Fortune vibes – an unsolved maybe attempted murder/or straight-out murder, lots of money, period details (1980s?), intensity… and Jeremy Irons won his Oscar for playing Claus von Bulow. I’m just saying, it could happen. I’m very happy that Ryan has got two strong films coming out this Oscar-bait season.

By the way, this is not Kiki in costume for anything. This is her street fashion!

  1. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

Im gonna see this movie. I am a huge fan of Ryan’s and this looks to be like a great movie.

I like Kiki. Hope she does well.

  2. Samigirl says:

Omigoodness! That OUTFIT! It looks like she had lobster, or went to the dentist, and left her bib on! That is TERRIBLE!

  3. Fabianne says:

    Looks like a great movie!

  4. Fabianne says:

This looks amazing! I’m a fan of both Ryan and Kirsten. I’m not sure about the dress. I guess she doesn’t have a stylist?

  5. bitca says:

OK; I give up. Please tell: what is it that makes R Gosling Sexy?? Have only seen photos, & sure as heck isn’t his face (looong chin, no bone structure, eyes too close together, etc). Is it like Jeremy Renner — whose looks aren’t much to write home about, but when you actually see him on-screen, there’s a major charisma/excellent thespian/je ne sais quois thing going on?

  6. kelBear says:

I will watch anything with Ryan in it, even if it’s the worst movie ever! But this movie does look good.

  7. serena says:

    This movie looks good.

  8. Marjalane says:

I have to agree with bitca- I’ve never gotten the big handsome hunk thrill out of Ryan Gosling, but there are some scenes that he just ignites the screen, and is totally hunky- and he looks damn skippy in a tux, I must say. I think this looks like a great thriller mystery- can’t wait to see it!

  9. Kaye says:

bitca: Go see “Fracture,” and you will have your answer. Ryan Gosling does nothing for me in still photos, but he is phenomenal when he’s acting. I would say something about seeing what “inhabits” his eyes, but that sounds goofy and is not what I really mean.

  10. Kitten says:

@bitca: Forget Fracture, see Half Nelson. SUCH a fantastic movie and Gosling’s character is so so hot. Or if you’re not into indie films, see The Notebook. In Half Nelson, he even made smoking look sexy I swear. He just comes across as really confident, somfortable with who he is, sexy and sensitive but not TOO sensitive. I agree that if I just saw pis of him he would never be my type, but he is so good onscreen and he just has “it” ya know?
    *sigh*
Wish I could watch this trailer! 🙁

  11. Kitten says:

@Kaye-Yes! He always has an impish, slightly naught “twinkle” in his eyes.
    *sigh* LOVE.

  12. maggiegrace says:

Looks sooo good! Can’t wait. Kiki has always had horrible style.

  13. Katie says:

I’ve wanted to see this since I first read about a long time ago. Even though I don’t like Dunst, she’s a pretty good actress. They have kind of frumped Ryan up in this trailer but I don’t think his inherent hotness can ever be completely hidden. And Frank Langella is the man.

  14. padiddle says:

very strong Bale as Bateman vibe to Gosling in this…he’s got the crazy eyes/smirk thing from American Psycho

  15. devilgirl says:

Looking forward to this and Blue Valentine.

  16. jen says:

I think it looks good. Kiki is good at playing that type. I love her in Marie Antoinette!

  17. danielle says:

I think Kiki is actually a pretty good actress. Definitely prefer her to Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansen, both of whom always feel very flat to me.

  18. Bodhi says:

Kiki’s dress is VERy similar to Kiera Knighly’s “mud flap girl” outfit, does anyone else remember that? I think the dress is adorable, minus the odd boob flap.

Fracture is AMAZING, netfilx it right now!! Lars & the Real Girl is really good too, odd, but very good

  19. Moi says:

I will totally see this movie, looks great. I’ve always liked Kirsten Dunst and am glad she’s in this.

  20. nona says:

I hope this movie won’t be all about Ryan Gosling so Kirsten can get the attention she deserves as an actress.
She is a very fine actress, she doesn’t do the goody girl act like the others and that’s only make me liking her even more.

  21. Wendy says:

I love Kirsten and this movie looks great! So glad she’s working more lately. Her outfit above is pretty whack, yes, but she’s an original and I like that about her.

@ bitca: I felt the same way about Gosling until I saw him in a movie (the Notebook – cheese but good). In still photos he’s really nothing special but somehow when you see him acting it changes everything.

  22. guesty says:

    can’t wait to see this…

  23. Jeri says:

I think Kiki can act, she may have personal problems but she can hold her own on screen.

  24. gobo says:

Looks like a good movie and i love that dress. Even looks like she’s wearing a bra with it. Yey!

  25. This looks really good, definately the type of film i’d like to see. Doesn’t Ryan look like Christian Bale in the poster? or is that just me? lol 😛

I really like Kirsten ever since i saw her in “Interview with the vampire” (my favourite film ever!) and even at that young she was pretty awsome and i still think she was robbed of a Golden Globe for her role as Claudia.

  26. bitca says:

Kitten n Kaye n Wendy: a belated merci beaucoup! Hoped somebody would be kind enough to ‘splain; bless you! The still camera does NOT love this guy.

Figured it had to be something about on-screen presence (have missed him, being too finical a bitca to bother w/most new flix). Gotta check him out in something. Sounds similar to the way seeing J Renner on-screen was a revelation. Prior to that it just didn’t make any sense.

PS: Marjalane… aha: got it. Men in Suits can be seriously Hot.
