Last night was the UK premiere of Red, and Helen Mirren, Brucce Willis and Mary-Louise Parker were all in London for the premiere. I’m only writing about this because Dame Helen and Bruce were so adorable together posing together on the red carpet. What is it about Helen? Whenever she poses with a man – of any age – on a red carpet, I find it so sexy, and I end up wondering why she’s not having an affair with that dude. Bruce could totally give Russell Brand a run for his money – and Bruce looks up for a roll in the hay with Helen, maybe even more so than Brand. Russell is in India, preparing for his wedding to Katy Perry. Do you think he’s looking at these photos and feeling a twinge?
I also love this one, of Bruce kneeling before Helen. I think he’s picking up her earring or something, but it also seems like he’s bowing down before the Queen, right?
Here’s a disturbing side note: Helen hasn’t walked any red carpets with her husband in a couple of months. Yes, Helen and Taylor Hackford have been together for years and years, and they’re not the kind of couple where you think “Oh, if they’re not doing red carpets together, then I bet there’s trouble in paradise!” Obviously, they’ve both been around long enough where I doubt Taylor really feels the need to always be on his lady’s arm. But still… I do wonder. Trouble in paradise?

Side note, I am curiously NOT hating MLP’s leather jumper. I think it would be cuter in a funkier setting, like with boots, tights and a t-shirt underneath, lose the suede belt, but yeah, I guess I … like it? Not on her, it’s not really working, but on me. I think I could rock that.
Anyone looks good next to Helen Mirren. She just has it. She and Bruce look like they really enjoy each other’s company.
Y’know, looking at these pics, I have got to wonder where the heck Rumer Willis got her gargantuan jaw? Not Demi, for sure. And Willis is proportioned normally as well. So where did it come from? Something is just not right-switched at birth maybe? That would explain how she could be so completely devoid of acting talent.
I saw “Red” last Friday when it opened here in BFE TN and I have to say I loved it! Very smart and funny. Helen was wonderful BUT John Malkovich stole every single scene he was in..he was awesome:)

I was admiring Dame Helen’s outfit – think she looks absolutely stunning – and thought, wow, now here is a woman who knows how to dress sexy and age appropriate. Then I scrolled down to MLP and thought…and there’s picture B.
Bruce does look really hot in these pics, and he and Helen do look really cute together.

Quite simply, Dame Helen gets better and better with age (like a fine wine). Just divine and, as always, dressed in entirely age-appropriate fashion. P.S. If any of you out there have never seen her in the Prime Suspect series, it is most definitely worth a rental. She was mind-blowingly good in it (years before she gained real stardom in The Queen).

I like the man well enough, but let’s be honest: unless Helen Mirren is secretly a 20-something year old, then she is not Bruce’s type. Keep it real; Bruce likes ’em young.
As well, I don’t think he would know what to do with a lady like Helen Mirren. I don’t think most men would know what to do with a woman like that.
Oh, isn’t Bruce free now? Maybe Bruce likes ’em young, but if he were going to make an exception, Helen would be it. Just thinking of some of her past roles (“Caligula”, which I haven’t seen, and “Excalibur” which I have seen-Morgana was evil and hot as played by Helen) I bet she could teach Bruce a thing or two. And there are recent photos of Dame Helen in a bikini and she looks fab-u-lous. She is my role model for growing old and looking fantastic! She has wrinkles, but who cares! Meanwhile, MLP, who thinks she looks sexy, isn’t sexy. She’s a decent actress, but that’s where the compliments stop.
PS: Lay off poor Rumer. She’s really just a kid, and her mother is probably one of the most vain women in the world. Can you imagine how Rumer was critiqued and redone by Demi over the years? (“Darling, I hate to say it, but I think you need a nose job.”) Rumer doesn’t need our criticism, too. Think of how you looked or dressed or carried yourself or what make up you wore in your early 20’s. I wore green eyeshadow in the ’80’s-yikes!
