That was really honest of her to share that letter. Good on her for kicking the pills + the wieght. Her courage to be honest could help a lot of people, there’s so many on pills.

Addicted to painkillers, blah, blah, blah. What Hollywood actor/actress hasn’t been? This story is as old as Curtis looks.
-
Man, she’s just fucking awesome. I’ll kick anyone’s ass who says she’s not. LOL!
-
I think Jamie Lee looks a lot better than the over botoxed and pulled too tight actresses out there and I’m pretty sure there are plenty of actors/actresses who haven’t been addicted to painkillers devilgirl-a little cranky today?
-
Can we just assume that everyone in Hollywood has been addicted to some drug at least once in their careers and call it a day?
-
UH-OH it’s on!!!! Anastasia and Devil girl! Steelcage match!!
-
Here’s what I don’t get… aren’t prescr. drugs hard to get for an extensive period of time? Shouldn’t they be difficult to get?
Why don’t these people ever wallow and self-medicate with alcohol like the rest of us “fly-over states”?
-
Not cranky at all Anastasia. Thanks for asking.

They are frighteningly easy to get

I agree with anon69. I think she looks great. She’s 5 months older than I am. I also had a surgery or two. But I do color my hair, (can’t stand they grey) and can still run in my high heels!!
-
I for one hope to look half as good as Jamie Lee Curtis when I’m her age. I still think she’s stunning.
-
she is 49 years old, has had plastic surgery and still looks like an old lady.
-
Love Jaime Lee. Her daughter’s hot too.

No line bi-focals

It’s amazing to me that someone who is widely regarded as a sex symbol feels ugly. Does she live in a bubble or what?
We can’t watch a movie with her in it without my husband making boarish comments. In fact, I’m a little jealous of her.
-
What a relief that she’s trying to set the example of being comfortable in your own skin. It’s a very difficult thing to do these days, especially when every magazine cover is air-brushed to minute perfection. I think one of the things that’s attractive about her is that she looks like herself, not some stamped-out Barbie clone.
-
That whole extra chromosome thing going on w/her makes her a special breed.

I cannot believe that people actually engage in a conversation about jamie lee curtis PERIOD. She’s old and so what, we all get that way. She should just stick to hawking her laxative yogurt…maybe next time everyone can discuss her bowel movements….or lack thereof
-
I really have a problem with so many snarky attitudes toward age. If you’re all lucky, you’ll be old some day too. And if you’re tremendously lucky, you’ll look as good as Jamie Lee.
-
Some of you people are a bunch of azz holes! So what, she’s old and. That doesn’t mean people don’t give a crap about her as an actress or a person. I can’t wait for you people to get old so that people can treat and talk about you the way you have spoken about her.
I’m not going to lie, I’m scared to get old, just thinking of being 30 gives me anxiety attacks.Jamie I’m glad you shared your story with the world, it was very brave of you. Your a beautiful woman with a great body. Live and enjoy your life:-)

She’s freaking awesome!

Ah, it’s fun in a mean way to read the nasty comments kids write about older people. You can bluster all you want, children, but age is coming for you– you can run, but you can’t hide.

I’m glad she said this. She is the perfect reminder that drug addiction can burden ANYONE. not just certain “types” of people. She is strong, smart, independent, and yet- even she fell prey to the comfort that numbness provides.
