Kate Gosselin on The Today Show: ‘This is not abnormal,’ ‘It’s a heaven on earth job’

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

A tired wonk-eyed Kate Gosselin was on The Today Show this morning to “set the record straight” about the rumors that her show was canceled and two of her sextuplets were expelled from their private school. She repeated the same claims she’s made in earlier interviews, that her kids weren’t expelled but were having problems in school due to the divorce, and that her show is not canceled. This woman talks in incomplete run on sentences as if she’s trying to cram in every point she’s trying to make simultaneously. She was arrogant and defensive while refuting the rumors and tried to make it sound like everything was normal and under her complete control.

On how she and the kids are doing
It is so great a year later [after the divotce] to feel put back together and more normal and we’re functioning and in a routine. We’re very happy actually.

On Colin and Alexis getting expelled: No, but
That is false, they were not expelled from school. We have a situation where… my kids are in an academically excelling school where academics are pushed and I fully support it combined with kids who are having just gone through a divorce of their parents. Suffering all those normal feelings and the two collided and they just were not doing well with the combination.

On how she has her kids problems under control
They were having anger issues. They were acting out, having behavior things. Things that I felt very alone once I did the research, talked to other moms that have gone through divorces, very normal stuff in that regard. So I did what I could do, we mutually agreed, I brought them home, I have them with a private tutor… she’s teaching them on on one, they are excelling along with weekly therapy… all is well again… The goal is to get them back into school.

On how all her other kids are fine, of course
When you have two kids who are not following the course – all eight of my kids have always followed the same path and this is the first time we’ve kind of had kids who hadn’t… it’s so hard because you’re thinking ‘my gosh, what in the world?’ Then I look at my other six, who are excelling at school and at home, doing everything wonderfully that they should be doing, so they’re amazingly well. No they are not being watched in school, no they are not doing anything other than doing wonderfully. So I mean, I think we have done very well and I knew going through a divorce, you have to watch for stuff. It will happen. This is not abnormal, at all.

Kate also said that she and Jon had no issue with each other over the holiday custody schedule and said “that’s been very peaceful.” She said that when it comes to scheduling time with the kids “I always reach out to him first… and I do it amicably with solutions and the best interests of the kids in mind.” On whether she accepts Jon’s apology, which he tweeted last month, Kate said “I’ve never personally been apologized to… but I have strangely and ironically forgiven him, for the sake of my kids… I don’t really have time to waste sitting around being upset.” See, Kate is in control and of course she’s the wronged, better party.

As for Jon’s complaint that his kids should be off TV, Kate haughtily maintained that “their best interest is what is good for the kids, what they enjoy, what I see on their faces, and there has been nothing but positive that has come out of it. I am working while they’re by my side and traveling and that is not only providing us trips for a lifetime but it’s providing for their future and I am still sitting here honestly telling you Meredith and I believe it wholeheartedly, as does the evidence that you see on TV, that it is in their best interest… we would not be doing it if it wasn’t… it’s a heaven on earth job, it really is.” We’ll see if her kids agree with her when they’re 20-something and are realizing how f’ed up their made-for-TV tabloid childhood really was.

  1. Marjalane says:

So basically, what Miss bad hair-do, is saying is that she calls her ex up and says “Here’s the holiday plan, asshole”

Again, I hate the Today Show for giving this broad a forum. Was Dina Lohan not available?

  2. LindaR says:

    Same drivel, different day.

  3. krissy says:

She looks awful…I think somebody is working on a prescription pill addiction.

  4. aenflex says:

    Vomit

  5. Bella Mosley says:

    Marjalane,
LOL! I think Dina and Kate are now interchangable.

  6. filthycute says:

    I hate this narcissistic twat.

  7. TRT says:

What a country, every trash can end up on tv and become a “star”.

  8. filthycute says:

She looks like the Grinch! Seriously, take a look.

  9. Delta Juliet says:

Yeah, I’m sure none of the kids issues have to do with having such f’ed up parents, or being followed by cameras all the time. She’s delusional.

  10. whitedaisy says:

    Epic Fail.

    Narcissistic fame-wh***.

  11. Bella Mosley says:

Hey – does anyone know if/when the Sarah Palin’s Alaska show will feature Kate and the 8? I am so anxious to see it. I’m wondering if Kate was so bad they had to scrap the whole show.

  12. wonderful says:

Whatever, if I had to choose between Kate and Jon its Kate all the way, no question, hands down. I even would have said that during the early days of their show – Jon was always the worst. Such an irresponsible manboy, and then he turns around and blames Kate for emasculating him when he was practically begging to have his balls crushed.

  13. Whatever says:

Oh yawn, another hate on Kate story. I’m sure there are problems. Kids do experience emotional problems during and after divorce even under the best of circumstances. With these two for parents, you can bet on it.

Hate on her all you want, but I don’t think having 6 kids that do well in school and 2 that aren’t handling an academically challenging and strict school to be out of the ordinary. I know TONS of families, both now and thinking back to my childhood, where some kids do very well, but one or two struggle and traditional private school is not the right fit.

This coupled with the changes at home is stressful and some kids have a short temper. They inherited it from both parents. Hopefully, therapy can teach them anger management. Maybe mom and dad should join them. Kate can learn to chill the hell out and Jon can stop the passive aggressive attack as anonymous “source” to every single Kate story in the tabloids. That would go a long way to fixing the kids’ problems, whether they are on TV or not. TV ain’t f*cking them up, their parents are!

As for how they will view their childhood, who knows? Growing up with an always at work single mother and out of work deadbeat father doesn’t sound too hot either.

  14. Jane says:

I see Kate is doing her rounds trying to drum up support to keep her show on the air this B*tch is really pathetic. Her doing all of these interviews about how happy her kids are on TV just goes to shows that TLC is trying to get rid of her ass and she knows it and is doing everything she can to keep herself in the limelight.

wonderful: I would rather have a manboy as a father then a lazy overbearing, neglecting, controlling famewhore of a mother any day.

  15. Pam says:

This is the same crazy woman who denied an obvious boob job and facial work. So, what ever she stated as “fact” on The Today Show, you should believe just the opposite. She’s a proven, habitual liar who ALWAYS lies about anything and everything to make herself look good.

Sickens me that Meredith Viera always treats her with kid gloves and allows her to get away with lie after lie after lie. Let Matt Lauer interview her next time! He’s the one who would “set the record straight” as far as this bitty is concerned.

  16. Jenna-na-na says:

Yawn. More lies. When is her time up anyways?

  17. What a LOSER says:

Meredith, how did you manage to throw Khate those softball questions with your lips so firmly planted on her ass? Really, like honestly, in all honesty, to be perfectly honest, you like deserve an award for that amazing interview, Meredith. It was heaven on Earth, just like the Gosselin children’s lives. Forget the fact that Mady wants to die, Collin and Alexis were expelled from kindergarten (w/o using the word expelled, like that makes a big difference) Cara looks suicidal, the boys are emotionally checked out, they’re all afraid of their birth-monster, etc. etc. How do you sleep at night, Meredith? Share a box o’ wine with Kate? Is that how you sleep? Nevermind looking at your face in the mirror in the morning, you kiss-ass phony.

  18. OXA says:

What an overload of excrement, the only thing missing was brown stuff oozing out of her mouth as she spewed her lies and self promotion.

  19. Debbie says:

Look how she dressed down like a “mom” for this interview. Too funny.

  20. Tess says:

I think one can assume the shark-jumping moment approaches.

Stunning, how the mighty have fallen. I’m talking about the Today Show, which long ago chose to forfeit its position as a news outlet in order to blissfully provide a platform for psycho-celebs like Kate Gosselin.

    They deserve each other.
But what did we do to deserve them?

  21. Icedwavez says:

    premanent bitch face

  22. maggie says:

Please everyone go to the Today website. Just click on Kate’s interview and at the bottom you can post. You DO NOT have to sign up. It is very simple. I posted something negative and they immediately posted it. Again, Everyone please take 2 minutes out and go post on Today’s website about this witch.

Jon’s attorney stated on the Nancy Grace show that Jon is paying Kate $240,000 per year in child support. Yes, a quarter of a million. The money comes from Jon’s part of the equity of the house and 24 acres from the divorce settlement. The money is set aside in a special fund that Jon cannot personally use. This is a fact. Yet, Kate goes on all the tv shows saying SHE is the one soley providing for her kids. She outlied when asked on the View if Jon was paying child support. Again, please post on the Today website. Thank you.

  23. mln76 says:

The Today show should be ashamed of themselves for giving this idiot a forum. Being a single mom isn’t a blanket excuse to abuse and exploit your kids.

  24. Obvious says:

…so…can these kid be given to a third party yet? make both parents take classes before they get them back

  25. Jen says:

“there has been nothing but positive that has come out of it”

So, a decimated marriage and 2 children having behavioral problems are positive things? Huh. How ’bout that?

  26. wonderful says:

I dunno Jane, I still think I prefer the overbearing, neglecting, controlling and selfish famewhore that is Kate over the immature, neglecting, spineless, passive-aggressive selfish, famewhore manboy that is Jon. Both are bad for children, but in my opinion the former is slightly better for children. At least she tries to be a parent, or did, anyway. Both of them seem to have checked out at this point.

  27. TaylorB says:

I really feel for those kids. I have to wonder something, and please don’t kill me for wondering about this, from what I understand children who are multiples sometimes have developmental ‘issues’ both physical and mental, I wonder if Colin and Alexis are having some of those issues (acting out, violence, etc because they are unable to process things)… obviously it is compounded by the divorce, having sh*tty parents and living in a glass house. I am glad that they are in therapy.

  28. Scarlet Vixen says:

    She has Brit-Brit hair.

  29. SRM says:

Her eyes are more dead than usual. She always sounds so insincere. And in this interview she sounds even more so. Her tone sounds so fake, like when you make a business call or something like to the dr and you want to sound all nice.

  30. Laurie says:

The more she insists the kids are happy & excelling in school (but acting out and are angry!). The less and less I believe her!!

  31. DoMaJoReMc says:

KHate, thou dost protest too much!

  32. Baby says:

    What a train wreck.

  33. Lobo says:

This woman lies so much. It is ALL on TAPE too. She lied to Meredith last year, “the kids have ample college funds, they will ALL go to college. This year, she tells Billy Bush, “not enough money in the college funds”. Lying, using, manipulative BS. Meredith looks like a fool pandering to this idiot. What does she have on SOMEONE that they keep throwing her in our faces??? What is it? They KNOW she is talentless. So what is it? I would love for TLC, Meredith, ABC et al, explain what it is that this woman is constantly being pushed onto the public.

  34. Lobo says:

Don’t you just love her “little girl” voice. So “innocent”. So “very alone”. I do NOT believe they are getting therapy. I just do NOT believe it. She lied about that already, earlier this year to People mag.

  35. Chris says:

SMR, her eyes do look dead – in these pictures and all the others. Her eyes look as if she knows she has sold her soul for fame and she sees that ending with no one really caring. So, what now? No soul and no fame. My eyes would look dead as well.

  36. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

Excuse me……*****trying to choke myself so I dont have to hear another thing on this woman EVER!********

    Now back to my lunch

  37. cathy518 says:

What a wretch of a human being! I wonder if Meredith will interview her in a few years if the kids behavior escalates and they become violent bullies. Whose faulth then? Not just their fame-whore of a mother but the media personalities that gave her the soap box to exploit her children.

  38. What a LOSER says:

That wasn’t an interview. That was an excuse to get a free trip to NY with Purse-Boy. Anything to get away from those kids, right Khate?

  39. Barbra says:

they are all wonderful, but two were pulled out of school so they could pull themselves together (from what, being wonderful?), Cara looks ready to burst into tears in every photo, Mady does burst into tears or scowls, the boys are hiding their faces from the cameras, yep, they’re really doing wonderful, wonderfully, just likes she’s fully ful(l) of crap.

She looks like hell, dead eyes, snookie hair-don’t and lies spilling out of every opening in her body.

Please everyone keep on NOT watching her, the #’s go down each time she shows her fake puss on the air or in a magazine.

  40. sharylmj says:

CAN. NOT. STAND. THIS. WOMAN. !!
GO AWAY AND RAISE YOUR KIDS!!!

  41. Str8Shooter says:

Yeah. That’s the face of happiness.

  42. What a LOSER says:

Does anyone remember the old Lucille Ball/ Henry Fonda movie, Yours, Mine and Ours? Henry Fonda’s kids pour a bunch of liquor in Lucille Ball’s glass and she gets hammered, and all she can say is, “Wunnerrfull, wunnerrfull, wunnerrfull, everything is wunnerfull.” I “wunnerr” what was in Kate’s coffee this morning.

  43. Anastasia says:

There’s no way I’m clicking on anything that causes me to hear that vile wretch’s voice.

And I watched the show in the early days–I still fail to see how Jon was so incredibly horrible. She berated and humiliated and verbally abused him for all the world to see in every episode, she criticized him for doing horrible things like wearing his boots in the house and BREATHING WRONG. And he did everything she told him to do. Had to jump when she snapped. Get the kids up, give them baths, get them to bed, take them here and there, load up the van, organize the garage, re-do this, re-do that, jump Jon JUMP! STOP BREATHING LIKE THAT, JON!

Geez, Louise, I don’t know how he stood it for as long as he did. And having a lot of kids is no excuse for being such a bitch from hell. My mother-in-law had ten kids and my in-laws treated each other with love and respect, as married couples should. It was mutual. The kids grew up seeing a great example of how loving people treat each other: respectfully.

These kids saw their dad emasculated and belittled at every turn and it was filmed for the world to see.

Just from that issue alone, is it any wonder they have problems? I haven’t even addressed the fact that their mom has a severe personality disorder or that their public lives have been sold to the highest bidder since they were still in diapers.

Sheesh. Get this hag off the fucking TV.

  44. Nj says:

Ive always wondered, are her parents still alive? Because if I pulled this behavior with my kids, my mother would hand me my head FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE. Seriously. Steve would not stand a chance against her.

  45. brownstonefan says:

My favorite…was Dina Lohan not available? Who keeps booking her on the Today show? Why can’t Matt Lauer do the interview????
Won’t be happy until she goes away.

  46. Jane says:

I’m so confused by the remarks defending Kate as a “working single mom” doing what she must to support her children. Excuse me — but it’s the six youngest children who have been doing the work to support the entire household, for years! If not for the sextuplets, there would never have been a tv show for Kate to use as a platform to D-list celebrity. (Heck, she’s not really even D-list – she’s the off off off Broadway version of the D-list celeb). To call it work for Kate to sit on her little loveseat and do confessionals to the camera all about herself is laughable.

She is also either a liar or completely delusional to insist that the kids are happy, love being filmed (and by the way – they didn’t even have the summer off at all – they had to work all last summer doing filming), while two of her children are clearly having serious emotional problems. If she really cared a whit about her children, she would insist that they have complete privacy now (NO MORE FILMING), to allow them to deal with the divorce, and any other issues they are facing. She will never do that though.

  47. Grace says:

@Maggie: I think leave negative remarks will have the opposite effect of what you intend it to have. The Today Show does not care if we hate her, or any other guest they have on, they will put on anyone that they think will generate a lot of interest, whether it be positive or negative interest. That’s the sad reality of the current TV landscape.

I think the best way to get rid of her is to leave no comments on The Today Show site. The fewer the comments the less likely the show is to have her back.

  48. Camille says:

Seriously, this page is nothing but a bunch of jealous haters. Please move on people Kate is a wonderful mom and doing what is best for her kids. I hope she sticks around forever just to piss you all off.

  49. Str8Shooter says:

Camille you seem brainwashed. Kate’s a ‘wonderful Mom’?? Does your definition of ‘wonderful’ mean exploiting your children for every dime you can get, not taking them on vacations with you, and ignoring them whenever the cameras aren’t running?

  50. Regina says:

So. When are the men in the little white coats coming for this poor excuse of a mother? Wernersville State Hospital has your rubber room ready.

  51. Joanne says:

The site of this womans face is enough to make me ill. GO AWAY ALREADY!! What is wrong with the people who actually make the decision to put this trash on TV?
I used to love watching TV, but she makes me want to take a bat to the TV, and put it to the curb. I dont watch anything on TV, that airs this nasty wench, so Today Show just lost a viewer.

She is despicable!! The powers that be, TLC, Today Show and anyone else with a notion to put her on the air, PLEASE STOP!
I loathe this woman. Im sick of seeing her face.

  52. bluhare says:

Camille — Jealous haters? Can’t you come up with something better than that? Makes you sound like one of those Kate idiots on RadarOnline . . . except you spell better.

  53. Karrie says:

Dr. Lillian Glass has analyzed this woman’s body language. Not positive, either. The children need more help than their mother can give them. Kate is delusional, but we just might be keeping her around by adding comments and interest to this controversy. Kate is being used by somebody and thus the children get used. No kids, no show, no more advertisements, no more money. Simple. It’s all about the money for all of them.

No controversy, no comments, maybe the Today Show will drop her like a “hot potato.” It’s not about journalism anymore, it’s about entertainment. Kate is a talentless greedy grifter, but Jon gets no pass. He has been in on it since the beginning. Kate is just the better manipulator. We have been played by these people for years. It’s time for it to stop! When I think of the Gosselin kids, I think of what I have read about the Dionne Quints being dressed up and paraded around like circus animals. Sickening, really.

    Jealous, I think not.

  54. vicky says:

I agree with Camille. When you have that many kids you do whatever it takes to make money. At least she isn’t on welfare!

  55. haha says:

vicky and Camille, can I have what ever it is you’re smoking?

  56. la_chica says:

    garbage

  57. NJGal says:

Kate said “I’ve never personally been apologized to… but I have strangely and ironically forgiven him, for the sake of my kids… I don’t really have time to waste sitting around being upset.”

WTF???? Does she even know the meaning of the words that she uses?

  58. MissyA says:

“. . . it is hard to separate truth from reality. . .”

    Freudian slip much, Meredith?

  59. candy says:

Time to go back to nursing or whatever she was doing before she popped out six kids in one go. What a greedy bitch. She paved the way for the other greed monster, Octo-mom. Things didn’t work out so well for that one. At least she is honest about the mistake she made and how she was used as a guinea pig. Such strange humans using their children to make a living. Only in America! Land of milk and honey.

  60. junejulyaugust says:

weirdly i agree with kate, the tv show is not a problem. whether there was a tv show or not those kids would still be stuck with parents that have serious ISSUES. thanks to the show they at least have enough money to be raised by nannies and child labor officials to monitor them.

  61. Gina says:

The show is so over. It was neat to watch in the beginning. How a family works having so many babies at the same time. However, things have rotted out. The kids are bratty on screen- Kate is very hard to watch as she tries to fake her way through the show. Her voice IS dreadful. She should have figured it out by now that the “best” thing to do for her family, is to call it quits. Get the cameras out of her house and out of their lives. Quit chasing her tail and start mothering. I’m sure whatever she got out of the show, was not worth the cost. : (

  62. Mister Ken says:

Kathy Lee Gifford looks like hell.

  63. Chrissy says:

    @whatever – ditto!

  64. Andrea says:

Wondering why everyone is still attacking Kate. She knows what is best for her kids. Seems to me that she is doing the right thing for her family. She is a single mom that does not abuse her kids. She handled this situation the right way. People seem way to obsessed with her.

  65. Grace says:

@Vicky: While I applaud the fact that you were able to express your disagreement with all of us without resorting to the ridiculous name calling that Camille resorted to, I don’t understand your line of reasoning about Kate supporting her children. If she has not saved enough money from her TV show, speaking tours, multiple books, and speaking engagements to support her kids then there is truly never going to be enough money in the world for her to feel like she has enough to quit the show. This is not about money, this is about Kate wanting fame. She’s already made millions, why can’t she stop the show and support her children on what she’s already making. Plus, she gets over $20,000 a month in child support.

@Andrea: Sadly not all Mom’s know what is best for their kids.

  66. Lillianne says:

Has anyone ever seen Kate and Dina in the same room at the same time?

  67. Texas Twang says:

She’s such a wonderfully wonderful mother, why did she drink water in front of Mady without offering her at least a sip. The poor little girl was thirsty and was begging for a drink but the wonderfully-wonderful-single-alone-mom-just-trying-to-support-my-kids turned up the bottle and took a long pull on it. That’s just one example of her wonderfully wonderful mothering.

  68. Maritza says:

The only thing good about the kids being on tv is that they get to travel places they probably would never have gone to. They will each have a hefty bank account so by the time they are 18 they can get the hell out of there!

  69. Team Kids says:

    Just more lies from Kate.

  70. Whatever says:

If she has not saved enough money from her TV show, speaking tours, multiple books, and speaking engagements to support her kids then there is truly never going to be enough money in the world for her to feel like she has enough to quit the show. This is not about money, this is about Kate wanting fame. She’s already made millions, why can’t she stop the show and support her children on what she’s already making. Plus, she gets over $20,000 a month in child support.
    ———-

Unfortunately, she had to give half that money to Jon in the divorce. Oh, and Jon pays $10,000, not $20,000 and that was according to Jon, but who knows if he really is paying. He doesn’t have a job, unless he really is selling BS stories about Kate to the tabloids to support his lifestyle. Wouldn’t put it past him. Jon is every bit as greedy as Kate (they were a perfect match in that aspect) and he only wanted the kids off TV when it was no longer filling HIS pockets. He’s a hypocritical famewhore.

  71. TG says:

@Anastasia – I completely agree with you, esp. regarding Jon. Even though I think he is a big douche I think he was majorly abused and that is why he is/has been behaving the way he has. Most of society only thinks of women as being abused but there are plenty of men who get it at home. I know my mom was like that and my dad was passive and an enabler because he aloud that behaviour but it is sad to me to this day that he put up with that woman’s abusive jealous controlling pyschotic behaviour. Oh and guess who is still living? My mom not my dad typical.

  72. Anastasia says:

GIRLFRIEND HAS MADE MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

No, more to the point, her KIDS have.

She does not NEED to do anything! She could sit on her ass for the rest of her days, just living off interest income if she had invested it and not made her lifestyle meet her income (which she totally did, see: house for just one example).

So spare me this “oh she’s just trying to work to support her kids” bullshit.

  73. Grace says:

@Whatever: I’m not sure if Jon did get half of that in the divorce or not, but half of several million is still plenty for her to raise her children on.

As for where Jon gets the money from to pay the child support, if I’m not mistaken, when the divorce was finalized Kate bought Jon’s half of the house so she could continue living there and the court mandated that the half of the money Jon made from that was put in an account that goes towards the child support. And I believe Jon is currently employed in the same field he was in before starting the show – this is a very recent development.

And I don’t believe that Jon is allowed to sell his story to the tabloids per his contract with TLC so I doubt that his money is coming from there.

  74. Anastasia says:

The kids earn their own damn child support. Mystery solved.

  75. ricochet says:

So she lies. A lot. At the expense of others. What makes her so much worse than any broker on wall street? These guys knowingly broke the law, and for some reason our incredibly ineffectual SEC and the Republicans who keep making it easier don’t see fit to punish them. Well the hammer is finally starting to come down. But it won’t be anywhere near enough to pay for their crimes, past and continuing. Why doesn’t the Today show interview some of those assholes? Meanwhile the people are distracted by losers like Kate Gossselin, and whether she is ruining her kids. Kids are getting ruined everyday by their parents, right in your neighborhood. Worry about that. But please, to get all worked up over this crazy woman, is really a waste of your energy. Write the Republican Senators and tell them to get to work, too bad the rich don’t get more tax breaks. It didn’t help the jobs situation for 10 years, it certainly won’t now. Do something other than obsess over this woman and her family.

  76. alexandra says:

lying twat! Those poor kids, Jon ran away from this ferocious woman. Of course those kids love filming, as long as that crazy woman is distracted posing and pretending in front of the cameras. She won’t be focusing on them with all that negative controlling energy.

  77. Kloops says:

I don’t know who said it, but I agree, she totally looks like she’s nurturing a pill addiction.

And she’s a sub-par parent. To paraphrase Sam Halpern: your parenting is only as good as your least successful child. The Gosselins: Fail.

  78. LittleDeadGirl says:

Ricochet – It’s not about getting worked about Kate Gosslin … believe me I doubt any of us are THAT worked up … we come here to relax a few moments to get away from our jobs, kids, problems ect. Your point would be akin to saying why watch tv or go to the movies or do anything fun when there are problems in the world”. We are all aware of the problems … and we sll need HGF once in a while to forget about them.

I do agree with you that it’s sad the Today show interviewed her and not someone much more relevant though …

  79. dorothy says:

Run children of America, run! It’s the kid-pimp on the Today show. Save yourselves from what amounts to sweat shop/ t.v. show entrapment from that woman.

  80. Trippin says:

She has no talent other than she knocked out a bunch of kids at the same time. In every still shot of her face she always looks pissed. Funny TLC didn’t think of buying a huge ass house and sticking Kate and her kids and Octomom and her kids all in one crazy chaotic house.

  81. Kristine says:

Put the bottle of pills down, woman… And WAKE UP!

Your kids ARE the subject of a sick tabloid, made-for-tv reality show. The compulsive lies are getting to be too much.

Let’s see if the two tups ever make it back to the private school, they were so abruptly removed from.

  82. HakuraChii says:

Something that really caught my attention was this:
“Then I look at my other six, who are excelling at school and at home, doing everything wonderfully that they should be doing, so they’re amazingly well.”

Besides the fact that she isn’t making sense or answering any of the ‘questions’ at all… What struck me here was how she never separates her ‘children’ in reference. She never speaks of them as individuals, people with their own personalities and feelings. It’s always ‘my other six’, or ‘the twins’. But her children aren’t all attached to one another as one being. They have their own hearts and minds, and their own opinions and issues with life and their circumstances.

It just makes it seem like she doesn’t *know* her children. She doesn’t appear to really spend any time with them unless a camera is rolling. She makes their lives as public as they can possibly be, then resents the hell out of anyone talking about it or questioning her. I don’t believe anything she’s done recently has had anything to do with what’s best for her kids. I agree with whomever said that if she doesn’t have enough money for them now, she never will. It’s about *her*.

I don’t care for Jon at all either. They both need serious counselling, but for different issues.

  83. Skye says:

I don’t care for Kate. But I think she is in a hole that she can’t get out of. Go back to a regular nine to five job, after living like a celebrity? Buying clothes from Target instead of the designer duds? Actually raising and caring for all of her children instead of having nannies? It would take an extremely humble person to do that, and she is far from humble. She is angry, bitter, and now has that sense of entitlement that even the smallest amount of fame seems to create in people. She is grasping at straws, trying to convince us her kids need the show.

No, YOU need the show, Kate, to continue living that fancy life we all dream of. But admit that fame and fortune can be fleeting, and that your five minutes are up. Figure out how to salvage what’s left of your life now that the cameras are slowly disappearing.

It’s sad to see her sinking, especially when eight other little people are going to sink with her.
