Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt brought out the twins! By the way, did you know The Tourist opens on Friday? Yeah, it’s a little obvious. But I love when the twins come out, so I’m not complaining. The family Jolie-Pitt are back stateside, and last night they took the twins out to an art supply store in New York City. Angelina held the chubby-cheeked (squishy!) Vivienne, and Brad is holding Knox, I believe. I also believe is was Knox who got to go out in the snow with Angelina last week. Or hey, maybe it’s still Fax Cannes. God knows. Viv is a shy little thing, and this is one of the better shots of her:

The kids are cute.. I wonder what ^^^ reaction would be if you were being stared and gawked at like they are. I think Brad/Angie do a good job keeping there kids out of the spot light.. It has been what over 250 days in this year.. I will be in that time we have seen these kids total less times then Jennifer Garner’s girls, Kingston and countless others. Thing is when the kids are seen pics go viral and are on every site.

I certainly don’t mean this comment in an insulting way, but for some reason I just don’t feel any ‘draw’ to stories about this family. I mean, yes the parents are beautiful people, and the children are ‘cute’.
But it just looks like their whole life is one big PR stunt. I’m not saying that’s the case, but. I guess I just don’t understand why so many people are fascinated by them.

I’m sure Viv doesn’t have any developmental issues. She may just take a little longer to grow into her looks. Besides, she could have been tired, post sneeze, ect. We don’t know why she obviously wasn’t thrilled at that moment.

I don’t think Viv has a developmental issue. Honestly I think she is just scared of the paparazzi flashes in her face. She always looks so unhappy when the photographers are really close. Knox on the other hand never seems fazed by what is going on.

You aren’t right. We had shots of the kids zip lining in Budapest, we had shots of them in France on the boat, in a balloon, looking at snow. Every time they are out we have shots of the kids.
And unlike you, I do not have to research celebrity photos to see their children. I open People and there they are. I click on two gossip sites, and there they are. I do not go looking for them or any other celebrity children, because that is not my life.

They both are beautiful kids. However Viv looks like a super-crabby baby… almost in every picture she takes, she’s upset about something. This kid would be hard to take IMHO.

omg! i cant believe how few of you noted the fact there sure is something off with Vivienne. Like the commenter above mentioned, her nose, her forehead… that is NOT normal. I’ always thought she looked odd in pics, as if she did have some kind of a developmental problem, and as she gets older it only gets more obvious…
I love this family-but I will say: not very cute kids. They may get cuter later, and I’m sure they have adorable personalities in real life, but they don’t have particularly cute features.

Actually, lisa, not everyone lives and breathes for this couple like you do, so, yeah, trotting out the family for a photo op could very well “remind” the non-believers that Angie has a movie coming out. There is nothing wrong with either of the twins. Vivienne is just not feeling the Paps (can’t say I blame her, they are probably yelling too). Knox looks like Brad, both these babies are adorable 🙂
Lol- I think little Knox’s face says ‘bad ass.’ My bets are on him growing up to be the rebel, hell raiser of the family. Vivienne will probably look more normal as she gets a bigger and loses the baby fat.
Regarding litle Vivienne’s looks…I think she just has an unusual profile that she will eventually grow into (like Reese Witherspoon). Both Angelina and James Haven have very large, prominent features, and with Brad’s chubby cheeks thrown into the mix, Vivienne’s forehead and cheeks are not so surprising. In fact, she looks like an extreme version of Shiloh, and chances are, she will probably grow up to be very striking. Oftentimes gorgeous adults were somewhat strange-looking as children, and the reverse is sometimes true as well!
There will be more flack I am sure but I think there is something off with these poor kids. Last year I had hoped it was just allergies or a bad cold, this is much more.
I think the twins are adorable. I don’t think theres anything wrong with Viv. She probably does get scared by the paps. She too young to understand what’s going on.
i dont think we see them all the time, I just think they have a higher chance of getting papped because they are such a famous family. So when they do go out it seems like a big deal and gets plastered on all sites.

@Justalark I completely agree with you. Oftentimes the most attractive people were very unusal looking as babies/children. And some of the cutest babies grow up to be unattractive adults because they retain their baby like features. Therefore, I don’t believe for a second Vivienne has any developmental issue. I’ve seen photos of Angelina when she was around Viv’s age, and they could have been twins. I think this is a great family.

I will say this, that sometimes beautiful people look odd as kids, AND that two gorgeous parents don’t necessarily equal beautiful toddlers (I think the JP kids are cute, not talking about them). My very handsome cousin and his very pretty wife had a toddler who was not, shall we say, classically cute. She’s now a teenager is doing modeling. She grew up to be beautiful.
I get the impression that if something were “wrong” with Vivienne, her parents would be outspoken advocates for whatever the condition was. I could be wrong but that is my two cents.

Yeah, for now I’m going to go with Vivienne just being pissy, not abnormal in any way. I do think with their genetic mix any children of these 2 have minimal chance of growing up anything other than completely beautiful.
It does make me laugh how some of the superfans are in denial that Brangelina are in showbiz, and they work it like anyone else in showbiz – better, usually. I still don’t really get why this obvious truth is met with such hostility. Would Brangelina lose some of their holy aura if it was admitted that they sometimes used family outings for press/PR? Note how Kaiser is a big fan and manages to be OK with the fact that these 2 are just as likely to engage in PR as any other stars are.

The ONLY reason why it seems like more, is because more websites actually pick up these pictures and use them in articles. And then their pictures get reused from time to time.
Since the twins have been born, there is like what.. maybe 5 DIFFERENT sightings of them?
Trust, there is at least 20x the amount of pictures of Jessica Alba’s child out there, than any of the Jolie-Pitt kids.
On a different note I think the twins are adorable, and it really is a shame that people are willing to judge Viv by a PROFILE picture. Look at Shiloh’s profile picture – it is practically the same (especially when she was younger), and she is a normal and healthy child.
There is something “wrong” with adults who go online and speculate about the health conditions of toddlers. If the child had a health concern, I am sure her parents would have her treated by the best specialists in the country, not diagnosed by some idiot with internet access.
If you check out baby pictures of Angelina Jolie, you’d see that she wasn’t a classically beautiful type of baby. Her look was similar to baby Vivienne, except she had 2 dents on each side of her forehead.

it isn’t uncommon for twins to have smooshed features because they are sitting on top of each other for 9 months. i have a friend that is a twin. her face a just ever so slightly “pinched” on one side because her brother was squishing her head the last month and a half before their birth. doesn’t make either of them disabled in any way.
and viv has the same old gargantuan fivehead her momma does. the hood doesn’t help.
if viv’s head is a bit different it might explain why they aren’t trotted out as often.

I agree with Happymom. The twins are not very cute, but I also realize like Justalark said above that many who aren’t cute as little ones grow up to be beauties. The other 4 kids are very attractive though. And I am sure the parents think all 6 are beautiful.
I’m with @girl: I think if Vivienne had a medical or developmental issue, her parents would admit is and advocate for it. I just don’t think they would attempt to “hide” something like that- both because I think they would take it as an opportunity to bring attention to the issue and because, let’s be really cynical, that would generate a lot of sympathy and attention for them. Having a child with a disability would give them a lot of positive PR, and I think they would use it.
Viv is a little girl with some very strong facial features- Angie has very pronounced facial bones and Brad has very full cheeks, and she got them both. She’ll grow into her looks.
The haters always have the dumbest logic. Nobody is going to see a movie because of photos of their kids. Doesn’t it sound stupid to think “wow there’s a picture of Knox. I’m going to waste my time and money on a movie I never had intention of seeing because i think the photo is cute”? The funny thing is I’ve seen Sunday Rose a lot the last few weeks and nobody is claiming Nicole and Keith are pimping her out for their movie and album.
Also it is true that the Jolie-Pitt are rarely photographed. You could go to most sites and see kids of Jennifer Garner, Gwen Stefani, Jessica Alba, Victoria Beckham, etc everyday. The Jolie-Pitts are seen a few times a month and at times go months without being seen. The difference between them and other kids is sites make a big deal about them. Usually this site doesn’t post child photographs unless there’s a real story about the parents. But for some reason people think it’s huge, breaking news to post photos of them leaving an art store.
I think Vivienne does have odd features but shes also 2 years old. The only thing about these posts that strikes me as weird is these people are referred to as “holy” or the “holy family”. I think that is a bit much. And before I get leapt on yes I voluntarily read these posts and yes I understand its a playful comment. Its just my opinion 🙂

If you’ve got nothing better to do on a Sunday than snark on two toddlers you’ve never seen in person, you’ve got some serious problems of your own.
I dont think there is anything wrong with noticing that a child might be afflicted with a condition of some sort. Its a natural reaction. She’s darn cute too and perhaps those who think something might be ‘wrong’ with her are wrong. Whats it matter? I seen a toddler the other day who was quite tiny but walking around. I figured she was walking early… so I gushed to her mother about how young she was to be walking and how awesome that is. The mother informed me she was of normal walking age but that she had a growth condition. Whooops. Doesnt make me a bad person for noticing that or rather, not noticing. Im pretty sure the mother wasnt offended either. Either way you go, its not an offense to think something is wrong or something is perfectly fine.
the oddness of viv’s face can really be due to the downward position of her head/neck pushing the baby fat upward AND the fact that she has fat (yet adorable) baby cheeks.
i hope as she gets older and the baby fat goes away there is less chance of things like this happening. we’ve seen so many other pictures where she looks just fine!
@ Cakes: It’s snark on the crazy Brangeloonies, who acted like the birth of these children was the second coming of Jesus. Therefore Shiloh= The Chosen One, The Twins= The Holy Ones.

The twins are rarely seen at all; but, if the paps get pics, THEY ARE blasted on ALL the sites due to the mega popularity of the parents. Name another couple more famous than the Jolie-Pitts? Even Johnny Depp recently commented on how maniacal the paps are in his interview.
It really makes my skin crawl to see people snarking on toddlers. They are just little kids and can’t help who their parents are.

when i said i think she looks like she has a problem, i wasn’t wishing her illness or being malicious. I just feel like this is the big elephant in the room that reporters won’t mention. most of the people who are saying her odd features don’t mean anything or could be because she is a twin – you obviously do see the oddness of her features. And since her first picture i noticed it, and i’ve been waiting to comment to see how she grows, but she rarely takes those babies out where they get papped…and then this picture comes out…. and i was like, damn, there really looks like she’s got a problem there.
and no, i don’t think the JPs would have shared any medical conditions, since the media chaos is so ridiculous when Angelina gives birth. Add to that inevitable speculation that it could be Angelina’s fault for not eating or doing drugs(those are the rumor spread by bloggers, not me) and this could have turned into some really nasty tabloid covers. And yes, all 3 biological kids look so much alike, and comparing V to Shiloh only makes the oddness of her features more pronounced. I hope it’s just the smooshes twin thing then….

@Josephina – I’m certainly not disputing that what you say is true. They’re jumped on every time they leave their homes/hotels/ect. I think some people have just believed that some of the more ‘open’ outings (where they stay out for an extended period in a public place) have been conveniently timed. I don’t believe that either, but don’t have anything against those who do.
I just noticed that there was more than a little attitude directed from some at anyone who said something negative. I personally don’t think there’s anything wrong with the little girl. But I don’t think speculating about it means they’re horrible people who are out to maliciously insult children. (I’m not defending someone who calls a child ‘ugly’, but to simply say they aren’t attractive really isn’t the same thing.) I just think getting all worked up is ridiculous.
Brad had both twins in his arms,when they were going to Budapest,there isn’t a thing wrong with Vivian, her frontal picture looked different, a picture of Angelina in her mothers arms at that same age looks just like Vivian.
We arent calling kids ugly now. There is no legal obligation to say that all children are cute. They arent.
So there is no meanness, just observing that indeed something appears to be “off” with Viv. And I wouldnt think that they would become advocates for whatever is wrong with their children necessarily. It might be something that they arent proud of.

It think its the angle of her face in the picture. Ive seen other pictures of her and she is very cute.
I work with kids every day and although she isnt a typical gerber baby, I dont get the impression she has anything “wrong” with her. Also, I dont feel like we have a lot of good pictures of Vivienne to make those kind of judgements about her based on appearance. The impression I get is that she is a complete misery out in public. The kind of kid who is always in tantrum.
Otherwise perfectly healthy looking babies. Not everyone gets to have model looks.

The kids are cute as for speculations on their health I think they are premature. Eventhough most of the posters who make them don’t mean harm there was more than one N.E. Story on the twins health based on nasty comments from a certain forum. So I can understand why some are sensitive.
On whether or not the sightings are premeditated I say to a degree yes but they aren’t constant the pics just end up everywhere and the last time this family went underground for 2 weeks the ENTIRE media lost it’s shit and they had to sue.

I don’t understand why people are surprised that we don’t see happy faces on these kids. There are a million flashes going off in their faces right now and the paps are SCREAMING their names to try to get them to look in their direction. @Carrie–I agree totally with you. If these kids had issues the Jolie Pitts would embrace it, bring attention to it and throw money at it. The kids are normal two year olds and no doubt will be gorgeous as they grow into their features. It seems like people WANT them to be abnormal. Anything to make them feel like these people don’t lead charmed lives far, far above the rest of us.
As for seeing them regularly–give me a break. We see the twins a few times per year whereas I see the Garner kids every single damn day. I can name a half dozen kids I see far more regularly than ANY of the Jolie Pitt kids.
Those children are adorable. Vivienne just has a squishy baby fat face. I’ve seen plenty of pics where she looks less smushy.
Over at Dlisted they had some head on shots and I think she looks normal but distressed. People are packed around them in those pics. My daughter does not like strangers she frowns and sometimes cries, she is shy. Viv is probably bothered by all the paparazzi which may be why they don’t take her out much.

Poor Viv … I think most babies would be upset with bright lights flashing in front of their face! I think my children are beautiful but if you catch their face at a strange angle or while they are making an odd face, yeah, they are going to look strange.

Not all babies are cute. These two are not as cute as their sister Shiloh was at the same age. But there is no requirement that all children of famous people be beautiful. I hope Vivienne grows into her looks because if she is the only nongorgeous child of St. Angie, she’ll have major self-esteem issues. Maybe they’ll be smart or good at something really marketable. At the very least, they’ll be stinking rich.

I think all three of their birth babies look alike. The little girl looks cold to me. I live in the northeast and it is FREEZING here this weekend. Coming from a warm store into the cold, I probably have the same, WTF is with this cold look on my face.
I doubt taking the twins out has anything to do with the movie. They often take their kids out two at a time and if you are Christmas shopping, the little ones are the only ones who won’t spill the beans to their siblings when you get home. Only under 2 year olds are allowed Christmas shopping with me.
I have to agree that the baby snark is really f*cked up. Not all babies are beautiful, that is true, but there’s no reason to call them ugly. That’s just mean. Someone, somewhere probably thinks your kids are ugly too. (the collective you, not anyone specific)
@HakuraChil — I feel almost the same way. Something seems really off and disconnected. Shame on everyone for calling those kids ugly — they’re kids. Chubby cheeks and surprised looks from all the cameras could easily frighten any little kid. I’m sure that’s what’s going on here.
And I don’t think Viv has developmental problems at all. She has adorable apple cheeks, and she looks like she’s about to cry.
To me, the only thing weird is in the second close up picture where Angelina’s upper lip seems to be starting from a weird place in her lip line – not from the natural border line.
How come her lip doesn’t begin at the edge of her mouth like normal people?
How many celebs get paps hiding out in hotel garages to get grainy photos of their child or paps camping out for days and nights on a hillside behind a celeb’s house just to snap a few seconds of a family’s private moments in their own backyard?
If there is ANY opportunity to get a picture of these kids the paps will twist themselves into pretzels to get it. I cannot imagine the money that they dole out to tipsters all over the place to report on any word of this family – not to mention the fact that they are literally tailed almost everywhere they go.
Given all that, there are still not that many pictures of the JoliePitt kids. And there have been very few sightings of the twins at all except for Venice on the balcony outside of a few outings.
If people were to visit photo agency sites where they have photos for sale to the magaznes & gossip sites they would see tons of celebrity children even ones you may think are never snapped.
Vivi looks like her mom with interesting features like her mom had at that age. My guess is she ends up being the most beautiful.

There is a picture of Viv taken from a long lens where she is smiling in her mom’s arms. She is so beautiful when she smiles. It is strange that no paps seem to be there going in the store, so did the shop owners tip off the paps? ‘Course it is easier just to always blame the Pitts, no matter what Johnny Depp told us what he observed about the paps always following this family, no matter what a paparazzi recently said himself about Angelina Jolie….and whatshername that filed suit. Art supplies and stuff for the kids’ Christmas presents, now there is an good idea.
This is the problem with US laws regarding images with children – who do not consent to being ‘papped’.
It should be like in some European publications, for all images that include children to be blurred.

As for little Viv’s moods, my middle boy was a miserable toddler in public- so shy, cried, was so afraid of everything. At 8 he has grown into the sweetest, kindest and well-regarded and well-behaved boy in the neighborhood. It just took time. And he didn’t have flashbulbs in his face. Viv will be fine. She’s just little yet.

aw, people should come back with their comments on their looks in fourteen to fifteen years when they are nearly eighteen. i’ll listen then. in the meantime, i think they look fascinating like Harlow Madden, Nicole Richie’s daughter. they are all adorable.
to satisfy curiosity though, i think like someone should ask her in an interview. she says the same things all the time cos she gets asked the same questions! we don’t even know what her favorite music to relax with is. or what her favorite book to read is. interviewers should get bolder cos Angie never holds anything back…so long as she’s asked.
ps. the holy twins thing is just a term of endearment like Empress Z.
For whatever reason, these two and Shiloh as well are very odd looking children, with huge puffy white faces and mouths that hang open all the time. Hopefully they’ll look less bizarre as they mature but right now it’s disturbing. This may be why they were seen so rarely in their first year or so.
I’m sorry, but you can not ignore the fact that in that 3rd picture of brad holding Knox there is something not right with that child’s left eye. It’s looking inward while the other eye is looking straight ahead. As for Viv, girl’s got a seriously prominent frontal lobe.
