Megan Fox forced to gain 10 lbs in 3 weeks for Transformers sequel

I never realized just how scary skinny Megan Fox is. You see enough pictures of skinny celebrities and it starts to seriously warp your perspective. Anyone five pounds heavier than Angelina starts to look fat. You just become so used to seeing sticks, that your perspective becomes completely warped. Actress – and maybe Brian Austin Green’s fiancé – Fox says she lost so much weight for a movie – and conveniently forgot to put it back on – that she was forced to gain ten pounds in three weeks for the Transformers sequel.

Megan Fox is still one of the slimmest starlets in Tinseltown, but the ubersexy screen siren was sporting a few more much-needed curves beneath her “Star Wars” T-shirt and jeans at the FOX Television Critics Association party in Santa Monica, Calif., on Monday night.

Fox was forced to gain 10 pounds in three weeks for her role in the second “Transformers” movie following a dramatic and dangerous weight loss for her last film, “Jennifer’s Body.”

“I should have toned up for ‘Transformers’ but I’m really lazy. I had to put on weight,” she told Pop Tarts. “I’d lost a lot of weight and got really scrawny, but I was told I had to put on size for ‘Transformers’ because Michael [Bay, the director] doesn’t like skinny girls.”

But what dangerous dieting regime did Megan use to pop the pounds in the first place? “I just stopped eating,” she said. “I don’t eat very healthy anyway — I have a serious sugar tooth, so now I eat red-velvet cake before I go to bed every night, and if you eat meals later, you’ll put on weight faster, so I had dinner at 10 p.m.”

[From PopTarts]

Um… just stopped eating? That’s got to be just about the least healthy way to lose weight I can imagine. And I’m surprised Fox isn’t smart enough to add some, “Don’t ever do that, it was dangerous/terrible/I hated it/etc” caveat to that statement. Okay I guess I’m actually not shocked, but I am surprised there wasn’t anyone around her (hello publicist?) to elbow her and add it in on her behalf.

This woman has the most beautiful, amazing face. She is just breath taking!

  2. geronimo says:

Jaybird, missing ‘gain’ from your headline.

  3. RAN says:

Jaybird, did you mean ‘forced to gain 10 lbs’in the header comment?

  4. rose says:

It took her 3 weeks to gain 10 lbs????
I gain 10 lbs just looking at food!

  5. Anna says:

I find her pretty blah. Not quite as blah as the likes of Sienna Miller, but still, nothing to write home about. And she doesn’t strike me as the super smart type either.
I love how it says “seen with some much needed curves under her Star Wars t-shirt”. Curves?? Am I going blind? ‘Cause I don’t see any curves there. She’s still very thin and yeah, she’s got some boobage going on, but that’s about it. Curves are a whole different ballgame.
JayBird: you are very right in saying that our perception starts being warped because we see so many pics of super skinny celebs. I think this whole “curves on Megan Fox” thing proves that. Personally, I prefer people with the stature of Kate Winslet, Jennifer Lopez, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Hudson or that ANTM winner Whitney. They look so much more healthy (and content).

I think she looks blah. Not quite as blah as the likes of Sienna Miller, but still blah.
I find the “sporting much needed curves under her t-shirt” phrase funny. Curves?? Maybe I’m going blind, but I don’t see any curves there. She still looks rail-thin. Granted, she’s got a bit of boobage going on, but that’s it. Curves are a whole different ballgame.
JayBird: you are right in saying our perceptions are becoming warped. I think the fact that somebody is saying Megan Fox currently has curves proves that. Personally, I really prefer the statures of celebs like Kate Winslet, Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, Queen Latifah or that ANTM winner Whitney. They are all different sizes but neither is so horribly skinny as most Hollywood women these days. And they look healthy and content.

  7. Kaiser/ Hippacrat says:

I actually kind of admire her honesty with the “I just stopped eating” comment. I get tired of hearing the silly stories of how some actors lose weight for a role. I bet when she said it, she shrugged, like “How do you think I lost weight?” – and anyway, she looks healthy enough in the header pic. Although I am concerned about her eyebrows…

  8. Because I say So says:

Still don’t know what all the hype is about. If she ever plays anything other than the hot chick, let me know. I find her as exciting as processed cheese….mmm, cheese….

  9. countrybabe says:

Rose, it sounds to me that they want muscle weight, working out. She’s already thin. She’s not sticky. They are telling her to starting training. I believe Michael Bay doesn’t like skinny girls, I think he notices every aspect of a woman.

  10. Jen says:

I don’t know what all the hype is about. She isn’t too skinny at all. I am 5’3″ and weigh 107 pounds. My husband keeps telling me to gain weight, but I think that I am fine. I don’t think that she needs to or should gain ANY weight.

  11. Amy says:

Didn’t you read it, though? That’s a pic of her AFTER she gained weight. She’s not deathly in the pic, but 10 pounds lighter probably looked pretty damn gaunt.

I have met some female celebs in person and they are even smaller than you ever imagined. Remember, the camera puts on weight, so they actually look quite fragile in person. Pretty shocking!

  12. paris herpes says:

I’ve heard the same type of diet from Anne Hathaway, they all just stop eating. And do what? Snort cocaine? Do a colon cleanse? These bitches are wack!

  13. paris herpes says:

Jen I weight 120 and am 5’2. I think I look better with the extra weight to be honest. If I weight below 110 I start looking scary skinny!

  14. Cassie says:

you guys make me feel like an Amazon woman or something! 5’6″ and 145lbs but most of the noticeable weight is in my – ahh, womanly areas? tna? lmao

her body does look perfect in those pics but its absolutely true — in real life, alot of these celebs are so so fragile looking. i met the singer Cassie two summers ago and it was really painful to look at, she looked like she could barely stand

  15. Nan says:

Megan is a hybrid. She has some genes caucasians could only dream of…

  16. Nan says:

She reminds me of Lynda Carter, another example of a beautiful hybrid.

  17. chamalla says:

Cassie, I can trump your amazon. I’m 5’10 and 170. You, Jen and Paris could collectively hide behind me.

  18. jinx says:

What people maybe don’t realize is that’s she’s around 5’7″ and not much more than 105 lbs. It’s pretty alarming when you see how thin some of these poor women are. Who thinks Kate Bosworth looks better now than when she made Blue Crush? She’s had some eating disorder for a while, and losing weight the way Megan Fox did can lead to an eating disorder, ano or bulimia. You can only starve for a while then you move on.

If you ever want to spend a fun day, go to the grove and see some of the most severely underweight women on the planet. Before anyone goes off on me, I am height weight normal by any standard. I have to watch my diet and exercise everyday. Not starve, or binge to gain. It’s a shame she’s so “lazy”.

  19. Ling says:

I crash-dieted two weeks before prom and then the weekend before and went from 150 to 135. I felt great and looked hot. However, it was only for the one event and I’d only ever do it again for another formal event, and I’ve since gained it all back. Also, I hid the fact that I was doing it from my friends and family because there is obviously huge stigma attached to it. It’s awful that this sort of dieting is given credit by women of power. Once you remove the stigma, who’s going to be the voice of reason?

  20. hello says:

    @ Jen

I don’t think there is anything wrong with your weight and height. It’s still a healthy BMI. I’m 5’3” and 112, and honestly could stand to lose a few. It all depends on a person’s body type. I gain weight like a guy. I get a gut and have skinny little arms and legs. It’s super hot.

  21. Shane says:

Gorgeous until I saw the tattoo. Then barf.

  22. Sue says:

I don’t lose weight if I stop eating. In fact I have been known to not drop a pound in a week of not eating.I wish.

  23. AC says:

She looks good with the 10 pounds. Thats all she needs.

  24. Christina X says:

    Par for the course

Let’s all feel bad for another vacuous bimbo who gets paid to take her clothes off and starts bitching about her “body image”.

Like she knows what it’s like.

I guess I’m bitter to an extent, because I’ve hated my body since I was eight years old, and such a statement coming from someone with no qualms with flaunting her body suddenly attaining an eating disorder’s a little hard to believe.

Let’s face it, women like Megan Fox are nothing but catalysts in low self-esteem in young women.

  25. James in San Diego says:

She looks better with the weight gain. So hopefully she doesn’t lose it.

  26. daisy424 says:

I wish I had her height. She is a beautiful woman.
    Kaiser; her eyebrows? Elaborate. :-)

  27. Kaiser/ Hippacrat says:

Her eyebrows just seem sketchy to me – she’s a beautiful girl, but it’s weird that her brows jump out (to me), I think. Half-Brooke Shields bushy/half-drawn-in. She just needs a new brow look. :)

  28. Amy says:

I totally agree about the brows! There is something a little too overdone about her. It kind of prevents me from thinking she’s as gorgeous as everyone says. What is it about her? Something a little off…

  29. Kaiser/ Hippacrat says:

    :) Amy!
I know what you’re saying, but I not sure what it is. Some say she’s had a lot of work done, but I think she’s probably just a hot 22 year old whose skin looks that great naturally. Bitch.

  30. daisy424 says:

 Kaiser, you kill me, I agree with
you. The skin comment, what do these women use on their skin, a palm sander with 400 grit??

  31. peach says:

well at least she told the truth! none of this stupid “oh I do this and that”BS we’re used to!

  32. M.Nash says:

Christina X, Wow I feel sorry for you, you must really hate yourself, being unhappy about yourself doesn’t get better by putting other people down, the only way you will get better is to seek out help and fix yourslef.

  33. Kaiser/ Hippacrat says:

:) Daisy424 – I think the “palm sander” is called “being 22″ – seriously. I have the same olive-y kind of skin tone as Fox, but it looks different at the age of 28.

  34. Maybe says:

I’m about the same size and height than her and I still think I need to lose a bit of weight. I’m naturally curvy in those girly areas and I don’t feel comfortable.
I don’t think she’s especially stunning (although yes, she is pretty)and she certainly looks too overdone. She should grow her eyebrows to get a proper Brooke Shields look.

  35. Sid says:

    @Ling

Do you mind sharing what exactly you ate during your “crash-dieting” phase? I could use a little boost up on my weight-loss goal *sigh*

  36. Lili says:

She’s very beautiful but she shouldn’t loose weight

  37. BS says:

What I find funny is that eating after a certain time at night has nothing to do with gaining weight. As long as you wait at least one hour before you go to sleep, it will not make you gain weight any faster. Your metabolism doesn’t slow down during bed time.

  38. Cheri says:

*drool* Megan Fox can beat any other female in my opinion. I’m so glad to see that she’s gained some weight because that’s the only issue I had with her appearance. Well…and the tattoos, but I can look past those.

I would LOVE to look like her.

  39. Christina X says:

    M. Nash, yep, I’m a big bully because I’m sceptical of some woman who has been treated better than other women less attractive than she is.

Like I said, it’s probably bitterness talking, but as someone who has hated her body since she was eight, I don’t feel the whole “anorexic” vibe coming from someone who doesn’t seem to have a problem with taking her clothes off all of a sudden.

I’m actually a very friendly person, but I’m also really tired of being treated like garbage for not being pretty enough. I’d love to see her in my fucking situation.

Not to make this about me, but yes, I suffer incredibly poor self-esteem, and it pisses me off that I’m supposed to feel bad for her.

  40. What's all the hype about??? says:

Just 10lbs??? HA! She needs some hips, thighs and ass to please me and I doubt that’ll just be 10lbs. What I find funny is the white person’s (US “majority”) opinion to “curvy”. If you are under 120lb and taller than 5’1, what the hell “curves” could you possibly have LMAO? Jessica Rabbit and Melissa Ford have CURVES… this chick doesn’t. Breasts don’t really include as curves unless they stick out towards the side (making that “s” figure w/ your hand outlining her as you stand in front of a person). Now I’m sure if she dropped those 10lbs, they would stick out more BUT even that won’t make her “curvaceous” but rather “top heavy.” She’s okay but I’ve seen prettier. Plus I don’t count when girls have make-up on because that’s not real beauty. That’s a cover and she looks like she has a couple of lbs of make-up on lol. So until I see a NATURAL pic of her… I’ll say if she’s “pretty” (to me) or not.

  41. What's all the hype about??? says:

Oh and Ms. X, I understand your point. I don’t think its good to mention a point that has an obvious bias (especially when you state it lol) BUT that still doesn’t take away from the quality. I only suffered probs w/ body image when I was younger because I grew up around the “white” standard. One day I realized I didn’t have to conform to that standard because I’m simply not of that group lol. After that… I grew into my own person. They are many curvy women or “awkwardly pretty”/”not pretty PRETTY” females who get all kinds of guys/gals. Remember “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” so what may be the norm doesn’t necessarily make it right thus not stopping you from truly being the beautiful person you can be! Good luck in life, hun!

  42. Codzilla says:

    @36: LOL! You’re right.

  43. Christina X says:

I really appreciate your wishes, IDGWATHIB.

It’s hard to resist the pressure from the media to be blatantly, in-your-face sexy.

  44. geeeee says:

Ok, first of all, I think she looks trashy. If too overtly sexy

But other than that, WOAH to all the people who say she looks pretty for a white (caucasian) person. Would you ever say that about a black person or an asian, etc??

Think of all the ethnic groups you include in that blanket statement. What about all of the olive toned, or blond-haired-blue-eyed Europeans or Americans, etc. Should they all aspire to look like Megan Fox?? Should every ethnicity who’s genetically prone to be short, or boxy, or tall, or lankey, feel like they are ugly because they don’t look like her!?

Racism is wrong regardless of the race targeted!

  45. Snowblood says:

She really is pretty – I’ve seen photos of her without a stitch of makeup on, and holy cow, very beautiful. She’s genetically gifted and at the perfect age for beauty, so of course she’s a stunner. I think she’s far lovelier sans all the makeup, too. Some girls can pull off the no-makeup face beautifully, girls like Megan Fox. Lucky little bitch! Very pretty woman, indeed…

  46. stfu says:

Are you people serious? Her skin is horrible and the bumps are noticeable in photos with the naked eye. She wears stage pancake makeup to get that great skin look.

    Jez.

  47. Err ... says:

I was surprised how aged she looks in some close up shots. For someone so young, it’s apparent she doesn’t live well.

    That said, she is pretty.

  48. andy says:

Makes a change to hear of a girl that has to put on weight because she isnt curvy enough… There are too many skinny girls in Hollywood, cant wait to see Megan’s curves in the Transformers sequel in the summer…

  49. Murf says:

So many haters. She’s just plain screamin’ hot! Great build, dark hair, light eyes. If she had an Irish accent she’d be perfect ;)

  50. Al says:

agreed murf… everyone’s just hatin’….megan is so fucking hot!! and i’m so glad to see that she’s put the weight back on… i always admired her because i was sick of seeing those ugly super skinny bitches all over the magazines and was disappointed to see her start getting that way. And I admire her for just being real with people and saying ” i just stopped eating”. You know that’s what half the movie stars do anyway, but just don’t admit it. She’s the only reason I watched the movie Transformers. Damn I wish I had her genes. Megan Fox… you are one sexy lil’ mama =o)

  51. This article was extremely interesting, especially since I was searching for thoughts on this subject last Thursday.

  52. brigette says:

yes, megan fox is very pretty. she must be one of the first or only actresses out there that have admitted not eating to lose weight. atleast she doesn’t like bullshitting people into making them believe she eats all she wants and still remains thin. i really liked her in the transformers and it would take her alot to look unattractive. she is naturally beautiful. i would like to look like her, i don’t like having a skinny butt.

  54. super b says:

I thought she was pretty at first but then she started to look too much like a drag queen. Maybe she is a hybrid, like hermaphrodite. get one thing straight she is a moron for admitting to stop eating. there are a lot of people who are too dumb to realize how dumb that is and would take her weight loss advice. she needs to stop talking.

  55. jessica says:

nice , ive got those same shoes except their blue.

  56. Kelly says:

Are all of you crazy and in denial! She has had so much plastic surgery!! And when she “isn’t” wearing any make-up, that just means that she isn’t wearing as much as she usually does, or she did it herself. Everything in Hollywood is a ploy to trick all the regular folk who think it’s real. NOTHING is real in Hollywood, it’s all fake so that you go to their movies and idolize them. Geez, some of you are real dummies :(

  57. 3lm0 says:

You guys are fraking insane!!! I would DIE to look like (as long as i knew i would come bakk to life looking like her lol) Im 5’6” and 149 lbs :’( I look like a chunky beast with long hair. Would you rather be super skinny, or obese beyond 800 lbs!!! she looks perfectly fine! And so what if she has zits and covers them up!! WHO DOESN’T!!! I want to do wha tshe did so bad its CRAZY
