Jim Carrey has a new girlfriend! And she’s young. Very young for a 49-year-old man. Apparently, his new girlfriend is a 24-year-old model named Anchal Joseph. Fans of America’s Next Top Model may remember her from the seventh season (I don’t watch, so I have no idea who she is). The idea of Jim Carrey with some young model screams “rebound” to me, especially considering he seemed to be having a difficult time after he and Jenny McCarthy split last April. Jenny has already moved on, and I think she’s already on her second “serious” boyfriend. You can see the photos of Jim and Anchal here, at Dlisted.
Jim Carrey has a long history of dating beautiful women, and his new girlfriend, Anchal Joseph, is no exception.
Joseph, a model and former ‘America’s Next Top Model’ contestant, held hands with Carrey, 49, while exiting Broadway’s Cort Theater, where they caught the play ‘Time Stands Still,’ starring Christina Ricci and Laura Linney.
At age 24, Joseph is just one year older than Carrey’s daughter, Jane, who gave birth to son Jackson last year.
Carrey, who split from Jenny McCarthy last year after nearly five years together, is currently filming ‘Mr. Popper’s Penguins,’ based on Richard and Florence Atwater’s book of the same title.

I’m a little surprised not by her youth, but with her looks. I didn’t think Jim would go for a darker woman… she’s Indian! If Jim wanted to lavish money on an Indian girl, why not me? Oh, right. Because I’m not a 24 year old model. But seriously, most men have a type, but I guess Jim isn’t one of them. He can move with ease from brunettes, redheads, blondes and Asians. I liked Anchal and felt really bad for her because a lot of the girls gave her crap for being thicker and eating too much. As a dark girl who was/is always surrounded by lot of blonde skinny girls (who are my friends, I am not dissing them they just don’t always understand the pangs of being thick) i really felt for her. because she already felt insecure and when they picked on her, she used food for comfort.
i loved Anchal on ANTM… she’s an amazon woman.
Can I just say this? I love Jim Carrey. So so much. I’m 25 and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second. Something about a sweet goofy guy makes me squeal.
And I friggin love that he picked the insecure more plus sized model on that season. Ahh, I would pet Jim Carrey’s hair til he died.
I like Anchal- she is really beautiful. Those photos don’t do her justice.
I think a lot of people gave her a hard time because she seemed to be trying her hardest to shy away from the fact that she was Indian, Relli. As someone mentioned above, she wore those awful blue contacts, and tried to hid her curves and the fact that she is this lovely golden colored woman.
Each to his own, and if it is making them happy at the moment. But, 25 years difference? Come on. That is HUGE for just relating to each other, interests, maturity, life stages etc.

Seriously?! ANCHAL? Wow. Gorgeous girl, but I kept waiting for her to blossom out of her shyness and reveal her personality, and… it turned out that personality was needy, insecure, fond of angling for compliments, and none too bright. Then again it’s been a while, maybe she’s gotten over herself. (I also hope she ditched the blue contacts. Her real dark eyes were stunning.)

This comes across as a rebound relationship. Jim needs a Pretty Young Thing to build-up his beat-up ego after a break-up. He also wants to stick it to his ex who found someone so quickly after they broke up.
I too saw the season this girl appeared on.
I didn’t care for her… She was so wrapped up in her lack of self esteem that I don’t believe she belonged in that sort of competition. I do find her beautiful, but she was too sensitive about her appearance, & came off ‘whining’ all the time.
Granted I don’t think any self respecting woman really belongs on that show. But I will admit that I watched it from time to time…I was fascinated by the artistic aspect of the photoshoots, & seeing the exotic locales.
It’s a bit weird that she’s dating Jim… I really like him, so I’m trying to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.
Wow RANDOM much? Anchal was on the show years ago, how did they end up dating?! On the show she was HORRIBLY insecure and it was so annoying to watch. She had zero confidence and from an outsider’s point of view seems the complete opposite from Jenny. Jenny being outspoken, outgoing, and comfortable in her skin. Obviously I don’t know them but this is from an outsider’s point of view. I just think it’s interesting how Jim chose a girl with a completely different personality (and looks for that matter)… I know you guys aren’t a fan of Jenny but I love her I think she’s gorgeous and hilarious and she doesn’t care what people think. Kind of a rarity in Hollywood.
