Jason Lee and his girlfriend Ceren Alkac have had a baby girl, a little sister to Pilot Inspektor. Who is a boy, in case Pilot isn’t obviously a boy’s name. The little girl’s name is still unknown.
My Name Is Earl star Jason Lee and his girlfriend, Ceren Alkac, are the parents of a girl, People confirms.
The baby was born Aug. 10, a rep for Lee says. No other details were announced.
Lee’s rep announced the pregnancy exclusively to People, then the actor let it slip on the Today show that the couple were expecting a girl.
This is Jason’s first child with girlfriend Ceren Alkac, he has a 4-year-old son with ex Beth Riesgraf. I’m not sure what name the new baby will be given, but hopefully it is something more flattering than her older sibling’s name. Jason Lee claims it comes from the opening track of a Grandaddy album, titled ‘He’s simple. He’s dumb. He’s the Pilot.’
There is hope for the baby, New Zealand authorities recently ruled that a baby cannot be named anything that could be a ’social hurdle’ and could ’cause offense to a reasonable person, that are 100 characters or more long, that include titles or military rank or that include punctuation marks or numerals’.
The child in question in this case was a 9-year-old girl named ‘Talulu does the Hula from Hawaii’ who requested the name change. Other names to be banned include ‘Fish and Chips’, ‘Stallion’ and my personal favorite ‘Sex Fruit’. Strangely enough, the name ‘Number Sixteen Bus Shelter’ is okay, but very difficult to fit on your driver’s license.

Agree RAN. In an attempt to make a child special by using unusual names, these parents should realize that it is the child themselves and their personality that makes them special, not a kooky name.

I think the rules on naming your child is a good idea. Lot’s of other counties have then, and I never would have agreed to something like that, but when people name their kids things like “Talulu does the Hula from Hawaii” Fish and Chips” or “Sex Fruit”, you can see why these rules might be necessary.

I had to intervene with a friend to keep her from naming her son Peace and/or Love. Seriously. Thank god she had a girl instead.
It’s one thing for celebutards to name their kids these stupid names, at least they won’t be alone in their moniker-disabledness, but regular folks are getting the idea that it’s cool for them to do this too, and it ISN’T. THANKS MOM.

Isn’t this insulting to his child. I don’t mind unusual names if they have special meaning but this just seems hurtful. Or am I missing something?

See, I think “moniker-disabledness” is completetly subjective.
I had a friend in HS who wanted to name a daughter Savannah Grace & I thought (& still do) that it is the most hideous saccharine name I’ve ever heard. Yeah, Pilot Inspektor is out there, but I like it. And I LOVE Moxie Crimefighter! I’ve never heard much whinging about Moon Unit or Deweezel Zappa

Wow…Ceren Alkac is simply stunning. Could it be that Pilot Inspektor was meant to imply that the boy would be “inspecting” the simple dumb folks of the world, as opposed to being one? Anywho, with looks like this momma I want to see that baby!

I’m a foster parent for the local SPCA. It’s hard to let them go, but it is fulfilling. We did adopt 2 of them though. Different breeds, mostly hard to adopt pups, special needs. I root for the under’dog’
