RHOBH Reunion Finale: Kyle gets nastier, Camille recovers, Kim is so gracious

reunion2header
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills final reunion show was epic. A full recap and my comments are below, and I’m blockquoting it in case you want to skim over it. It’s worth reading if you have the time.

A lot happened, but overall Kyle seemed incredibly nasty, defensive and not at all apologetic for the way she treated both her sister and Camille. She did a lot of hair flipping, sneering and squinting and my opinion of her was even lower after watching this. Camille on the other hand did apologize, wasn’t that defensive and took responsibility for some of the things she did this season. She’s probably been coached by a media expert and has carefully planned her responses. Whatever she did worked because she came across so much better than she has before. Kim was very gracious, thoughtful and loving to her sister Kyle in a way that Kyle did not deserve at all. Taylor was much like Kyle in that she had a bunch of justifications for her behavior and never admitted to being wrong. Adrienne was noncommittal and almost not there and Lisa brought her own drama with her rift with scheming Cedric. Overall it was a very interesting and drama-filled ending.

Kyle vs. Camille
They started with extended footage of the Kyle vs. Camille argument. Kyle was very defensive and snotty and Camille really played it off well. She’s obviously been practicing and preparing for this. Camille said that Kyle ruined her reputation by calling her “delusional” repeatedly while Kyle said that was an accurate description of Camille since she heard something that she never said.

Kim then finally sort-of tried to defend Kyle “I was definitely there and overheard the conversation.” The way Kim explained it, it was just a regular conversation “and the next thing I know, [Kyle] is crying.” When the host asked Kim if Kyle is a bully she hesitated and said “no, not normally.”

“I’ve seen her bully you,” Camille added.

Lisa defended Kyle and said it was all a misunderstanding.

As for whether there was anything she should apologize for, Camille said that her character wasn’t “rounded out” but then she reluctantly apologized for agreeing with the drunken psychic chic, Allison, that Kyle’s husband Mauricio was a cheater.

Camille claims they’re only showing a negative picture of her
“Then they take out my philanthropic work, and you don’t see the side of me with my kids.

“There was something I did with my girlfriend Diedre. Something unfortunate happened in her life and I was boasting how I do so many great things for people… D.D. comes to me and she brought it up and says ‘thank you so much for helping me and my husband this year.'” but that was not shown.

As for saying “I have this Jesus complex” on the show, Camille said “that was just pure stupidity.”

Cedric tried to blackmail Lisa after she kicked him out
Lisa said that she kept telling Cedric that it was time to move out after a year, but that he handled it extremely poorly.

“Ken asked him ‘Can you pick up your things off the floor’ and he got very nasty. He said ‘I’ve packed all my things…’ He packed them all in Ken’s suitcases. It was very upsetting. The last thing I said to him was ‘Cedric, I do not want this thrown back in my face.’

Lisa said she didn’t fight with him the day he moved out although Cedric was throwing a tantrum. Within a day he called them back at 6:30 in the morning and said he wanted to meet them.

“He went to my husband’s office, and what he wanted we weren’t prepared to give him. He said ‘We’ll give you a few days to think about it.'”

When Kyle asked her if she’d filed a police report, Lisa said “I did, which I’ve never made public or said before, but that’s ok.” Burn to Kyle!

Lisa said she couldn’t say whether Cedric wanted money, (maybe due to a pending case, although that’s speculation on my part) but that he did say he’d been offered money to sell his story.

Kyle chimed in with some ‘I told you so’ crap: “He was always looking for his 15 minutes. From the beginning I told Lisa that,” which Lisa admitted was true.

Lisa said “every word that came out of his mouth was a lie.”

As for what Cedric is doing, they showed a clip of him in his new apartment taking acting lessons. He denied that Lisa and Ken kicked him out and tried to play it off like he left on his own. He said that Lisa’s “ego was so big, she was so controlling. I’m not Jiggy [her dog].” He said that he was like unpaid help to them, and compared himself to their old blind cocker spaniel who got tossed aside. He called Lisa superficial and said she was different than she seemed on camera, among other things.

Lisa said “as far as I’m concerned he’s a lying narcissistic vindictive vile piece of…”

taylor
Taylor acts like her marriage is fine now
Taylor tried to play it off like her marriage is fine now and they’ve worked through all their issues. She was crying, but her defenses were up and she gave a bunch of pat answers about how they’ve decided to keep their marriage together after having some conversations while on vacation. She said she needs to “be more assertive about what I need” and then the other women offered her advice.

The husbands come out
Paul and Adrienne said they liked bickering and believed they should work out issues immediately instead of letting them stew. Adrienne said “of course” they have a prenup. She’s the only one out of all the wives who has one.

Russell said their marriage was difficult because of the economy and how hard he was working. As for whether he would trade Taylor in for a 20 year-old, he said “I don’t have the energy.” ha-ha.

Mauricio admitted to receiving nude pics of women admirers after his appearance on the show. Camille said she’s still working with him as her realtor and blew him a kiss, which he blew back.

They played clips of Camille fawning all over “handsome Nick.” She countered that Nick’s wife was there in many of those scenes, and that his wife is starting to get upset because people are asking her if anything is going on between Camille and Nick. Camille said “we’re flirtatious, but that’s just our friendship.” As for whether kissing Nick is inappropriate, she said “I’m Italian, we grab people’s faces and we kiss them on the lips.”

Ken said that Lisa was lying about how they only have sex twice a year because they “also have [sex] on Valentine’s day.”

Ken got really upset when he was talking about Cedric. He said “what happened in the end was just totally out of left field… He said to me the day he left ‘I f’ing hate your wife, and I hate you and I hate your f’ing kids.’ I was dumbstruck. How I didn’t hit him I don’t know to this day. I said to him ‘I’ve never met a more despicable person in my life…. I’ll never forgive you, I never want to see you again. Hate him.'”

Adrienne would never set Kim up with her brothers
Kim said she was single and dating. The host asked Adrienne if she would set Kim up with any of her single brothers and she was pretty blunt about it.

“I got great brothers, but they’re so busy and you’re kind of standoffish right now so I don’t know if that’d be a good match.”

Kyle makes excuses on whether she bullies Kim
“Yes, I can see that [how she comes across as mean].”

“We’ve always had this relationship where we joke a lot.”

“When I’m upset with her we’re sisters and it’s a much more complex relationship than with friends.”

Kim was so nice about it but again Kyle showed her true character.

Kim: “It’s like she misplaces her anger, but you take it out on the people you love and I understand.”

Kyle chimes in immediately “And she’s not any pushover, believe me. We just don’t always see that.”

When host Andy Cohen asked Camille about it, she said simply “I think Kyle has been tough on Kim. Kyle’s been tough on me.” Kyle then sneered viscously, as she’d been doing the whole show.

Kyle: “We do clash at times. I could be a lot more gentle with Kim. It’s not always one-sided, right?”

Even when she said that, it was like she was leering at Kim daring her to contradict her!

“Maybe sometimes I’m a little strong but it’s who I am [shrugs].”

Then Kyle started crying and said she’s a lot like her mom, and Kim agreed. She pulled herself together and still refused to admit that she goes after Kim.

“I think maybe tough love, I take it a little too far sometimes.”

Kim was crying and said it was hard showing everything on TV. She said “I feel at times she is a little too hard on me, and I’m very sensitive. I love her and I don’t want to fight with her. She’s the last person I want to fight with in the world.”

Kim “We’re sisters, we’ve been through everything together.”

Even when she was crying, Kyle looked at Kim like she had no right to say how she felt and like she was wrong. She was very defensive and remained snotty and entitled throughout the whole exchange.

They showed clips of Kyle putting Kim down and she looked so defiant while that was being shown. She was sighing, making faces and shaking her head “no.”

Kyle looked so annoyed when they replayed the limo fight, like she thought her terrible treatment of Kim was justified. She did cry but it seemed so fake to me. She rolled her eyes, flipped her hair and was crying not for what she did for her sister, but for the way she was coming across.

Kim was again so classy about the whole thing.

Kim “We’re at the point of recovering from the biggest fight we’ve ever had. I love my sister and I’ve never had a fight like that with her… we’re finally talking again… We’re working on it [our relationship.] I love her… in the heat of the moment things are said and done that you want to take back and you can’t and that’s why I’m just not going to go there.”

“Like I said, I really don’t want to discuss that night at all. I want to move forward with my sister. I love her. I want to make everything right. Everything is really good today and I’d like to keep it that way.”

When Andy asked Kyle where her anger came from she said “just private stuff, things I don’t… I don’t want to do this.” Then she asked to sit next to Kim.

Kyle shrugged and then framed the whole argument around HER and how SHE felt. “I would give anything to take back that night. It’s created so much anxiety over the past few months, it’s been really painful.” It’s been painful for Kyle, and it’s all about Kyle all the time.

reunion2kylefake
Kyle and Kim held hands and again Kyle wouldn’t take responsibility or really apologize. “There’s just a lot of things that led up to it that made me snap at that point… private things.”

So other things MADE Kyle snap, she didn’t snap on her own, she couldn’t help it and we just can’t understand how she got forced to be such a mean insufferable bitch.

Kyle denies that Kim supported their family, “I was also a child actor”
Kim spoke fondly about her childhood as an actress when the host brought it up. She said she doesn’t regret it and she loves that part of her life.

Andy said that Kim supported her family and bought them a house and Kyle immediately countered: “That wasn’t entirely accurate either, just to be fair. My dad was successful and he bought our home. Yes we were child actors. It wasn’t all on Kim’s shoulders. I also was a child actor.”

There we go, there’s the issue. Kim was a hugely successful actor, much more so than Kyle was, and yet Kyle acts like she was at Kim’s level of stardom. She wasn’t by any means. They’ve been playing out this dynamic from their childhood their whole lives, and that’s why Kyle treats Kim like dirt.

Lisa defended Kyle and she’s the one who brought up the “issues that need to be confronted,” i.e. Kim’s alcoholism.

Host Andy told Taylor that she’s the one who started the fight at her party
Taylor tried to defend herself as if it was all Kim’s fault for drinking too much. “There may have been other factors at play in her personality that evening.”

Lisa said “When any kind of drink is involved, people don’t say exactly what they mean.”

Andy asked Kim if she had a drinking problem, and she said “No, there’s nothing I want to talk about that night at all.”

Then he summed it up and Kim told Kyle she loved her and gave her a hug. Kyle didn’t say it back!

Dinner party from hell revisited
At that point they ended the show up by revisiting the Camille and Kyle fight and replaying the dinner party from hell. It was like a perfect dysfunctional circle.

When they played the psychic hurling insults at Kyle she had the smuggest smile on her face.

Camille said “the whole evening made me uncomfortable.” She admitted she wanted her friends there but that “there wasn’t any attack planned.”

Lisa: “[The psychic] was a nasty piece of work.”

Then they replayed most of the segment where Camille explained going after Faye Resnick and how they got off to a bad start. It was confusing that they replayed this entire segment that they already aired in the first reunion.

Kyle admitted that she had the nude photos of Camille on her Blackberry and was showing it to the women on the way over. “It’s not like we were exactly best friends Camille.”

Camille said it was a “set up” and Kyle got all defensive. Kyle got really bitchy and snotty and Camille stood her ground.

Then they showed the psychic talking about everyone and saying nasty things, and Camille admitted those things “weren’t very nice.”

As to why the psychic Allison never warned Camile about Kelsey’s infidelity she said “I think the read that she was getting on [Kyle] was me.”

Camille said she’s “cautiously optimistic” about being friends with Kyle and she called her a riot and gave her a lot of compliments. Kyle was flattered, flipped her hair, and then said “we really are so different.”

Regrets
Lisa said she had none. Taylor said she regretted the Oklahoma comment.

Kyle had regrets, but she didn’t take responsibility for them. She said said she regretted “what’s happened between Camille and me. I regret not handling any issues I had with my sister better. I think that I can walk away from this saying that I’ve learned a lot.”

Adrienne didn’t have any regrets.

Kim said she had regrets and regrets “the arguing between Taylor and I. The arguing between my sister and I, but I don’t regret making wonderful friends and being where I’m at today, which is in a great place.”

Camille said “I have a lot of regrets.” She then apologized to Kyle, something Kyle never did for her. “[To Kyle] I’m so sorry. I’ve really had a tough year. That’s no excuse.” Then she kind of squinted like a warning to Kyle. This shit isn’t over.

[Recap from RHOBH reunion part 2, aired 2-1-11]

Kyle is the real villain of this show, and while Camille is a narcissistic twit who is more than capable of pulling her own stunts and denying culpability she’s learned how to work the media. Camille really put Kyle in her place last night, and she did it by playing innocent and playing lip service to taking responsibility while Kyle continued to get snotty and rude. Kim deserves a lot of credit for how well she handled that situation and how kind she was to Kyle after all Kyle put her through. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kim quietly got sober and has stayed sober even after dropping out of rehab.

The ladies of the RHOBH were on Ellen yesterday, all except Kim. Kyle revealed that Kim’s not certain whether or not she’ll do another season. As I mentioned in our last recap, I think Kim should step aside. Taylor will need a new target and I bet she’ll turn on her BFF Kyle, who will then be the low woman on the totem pole. Just wait.

Kyle made me sick last night, with her sneering face and her inability to own up to anything that she did.

She was quick to point out that others didn’t own their words and actions, but she sat there, smug as ever, while Andy Cohen literally kissed her ass the whole night, looking like the cat that swallowed the canary.

Kyle is a vile human being and last night made me like Camille even more, because she owned up to her part in the whole process and apologized, whereas Kyle accepted the apology and acted like she was Queen Bee of Beverly Hills. Taylor is another one who sickens me.

As for the Lisa/Cedric fiasco. Why would you even give 5 minutes of thought to a man like Cedric?Cedric is a sleazy extortionist and if I were Lisa and her husband, I would be looking into prosecuting him. He is a nasty piece of work. Lisa and her husband asked for it though, by continuing to allow him into the ir lives. It should have tipped them off that Cedric had no one in his life, other than them.

In the end, I went from hating Camille all season, to liking her. I feel bad for Kim, because other than Adrienne and Camille, the others were on her for everything. Kim may or may not have a problem, but her problem, if it exists, is not the reason that things went as they did. Kyle is a duplicitous monster, who thinks she is better than she is. You could tell how smug she was over Camille’s divorce, but in the end, Camille will laugh the loudest with her bundle of cash, while Kyle is still on a much lower economic scale than her friends, and her sister Kathy. That, I think does bother her.

  2. Tess says:

    Great recap C/B.

Kim was terrific throughout. Kind, wise, mature and loving.

Kyle is a bitch on wheels.
Cold, Cold, Cold woman. Forget what she says about her kids and her husband… Her social life and her social status are her highest priorities.

What I realized last night is how much Kyle and Andy Cohen are in cahoots. He pretty much protected her throughout, as much as he could, without losing total credibility.

Andy’s just another OJ Simpson crowd hanger-on and Kyle seems to be a key player in that truly morally corrupt circle. And that’s why Faye Resnick, the Simpson houseboy guy (forget his name, but he was at taylor’s phony violence charity) were all part of this cast that Kyle delivered for Andy.

About the Lisa/Cedric thing…the truth is probably half way between what he says, she says.

  3. pebbles says:

Team Kim. Now, on to Lisa. I used to love her!
But not after last night’s reunion. She seemed to be dying to talk about Kim’s drinking problem. “Issues that need to be confronted.” Whatever, Lisa. Keep your nose out of it. Lisa is such a rabid fan of Kyle, it makes me sick.
Kyle is just awful. Couldn’t even respond in kind when Kim said that she loved her.

  4. Riley says:

I thought last night’s was one of the most intersting reunion specials of any of the Housewives. Not too long to be overkill and I think it wrapped everything up nicely. It also did a good job of revealing true colors, so to speak. I will say this, while I was really embarassed for Kim most of the season, and I agree that she should stay off the show, I think she looked really pretty last night (her hair looked fantastic) and she came across as having a lot more self confidence than she did during the regular season. I am going to throw this out there- I kind of got the impression Kyle might be pregnant. This came to me during the toast when she wasn’t holding her glass like the other housewives and then Andy mentioned something about raise your champagne or sparkling cider. Of course, this could be directed at Kim, which it likely was, but I have a sneaking suspension Kyle is trying to get pregnant to add to the storyline for future RHOBH, possibly get her own Bravo show a la her bestie Bethenny Frankel, and because in her own sick twisted way Allison DuBois was correct: once the children are gone, Kyle and Mauricio will have little in common. We shall see. One more thing, I kind of love Lisa’s husband. Of course he looks like he should be training tigers in Las Vegas, but he has a great sense of humor, and I bet he is kind of fun to be around. He was really funny last night. Cheers, Darling!

  5. Quest says:

If RHOBH get along so well (eyes rolling out of sockets) why is there another season. They act like a bunch of cackling hens in a hen house. The networks are sure desperate for ratings.

  6. jen34 says:

All last night’s show did was reinforce how I’ve felt all along. Kim is a fragile, gentle soul. I wish her all best.

Camille carried herself well, but actions speak louder than words. She’s still vile.

I usually watch the show on my small bedroom TV. Last night I opted for the big screen in the family room. Taylor’s face looked so weird in high definition that I had to turn away.

As much as I like Lisa, I find it so hard to believe that she and her husband were that naive. I’m sure Cedric will be telling tawdry tales to the tabloids.

Kyle is just mean. Her husband is a bit smarmy.

Adrienne is the classiest of the group. Sorry, Lisa.

  7. devilgirl says:

LOL@Riley’s tiger training comment! Sooooooo true! I agree, I love Lisa’s husband! I also love Adrienenne’s hubby too!

  8. anoneemouse says:

I agree with your observations 100%! Kyle has shown her true colors over the last few episodes. Camille did redeem herself gracefully and with class, I might add. You have to admire someone that takes ownership of their actions and apologizes for them [ahem Kyle]….

  9. LeeLee says:

I can’t wait until karma meets Kyle. She’s a nasty, self-centered witch who has a deluded sense of herself.

  10. ann carter says:

Still love Lisa, a wonderful throw back to the days of the classy broad: elegant but so real..kim is heartbreaking, seems to try so hard to stay out of everybody’s way. everyone I know remarked on the fact that Kim would tell Kyle, “I love you!” and never ONCE did Kyle return the comment. Kim looks emotionally frail and she doesn’t try to hide it, Kyle should be more kind to her SISTER.

  11. everly o says:

I felt that Kyle WAS regretful of her behavior and said so many times. However Camille had to be confronted by Andy that she NEVER takes responsability for her own comments and actions. Kyle and Kim have a history we will never know. No one can push your buttons like family and Kim loves to play the victim and Kyle has probably had to put up with Kim’s issues for years. If Kim was sooo easy going and easy to live with why does she have kids with so many different dads and isn’t married to any of them? Kyle has a beautiful family and friends for years that says something about her character.

  12. maya says:

Kim is BEYOND weird! TMZ ran on story on Kim last week, she was drunk at the airport in San Francisco in July.

  13. Rachael says:

Cedric is crazy. but so are all these girls except Lisa and Adrienne.

  14. MorticiansDoItDeader says:

We’re missing a big piece of the Cedric puzzle. There’s obviously so much more to the story. Maybe I overlooked something that one of you picked up on?

  15. MADGE says:

I have a totally different opinion of these women. I think Kim both is and plays the victim and almost forces Kyle to look bad.
The reason Kim didn’t want to talk was she didn’t want to call attention to the alcohol thing.
It made me sick that Cedric got any airplay.
And when Kyle said something true about Camille she just called her mean, never admitting anything except that jesus thing.
I love Lisa and Adrienne. Of course she doesn’t want her brothers with that whiney drunk.

  16. Franny says:

I don’t know if its because Kyle acts like I would have in any of those situations, or because the readers here tend to go along with what the writer of the piece does (I usually do too! these girls have a level head on their shoulders and usually make great points) but I just am still not seeing Kyle as THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD. It seems that she stands up for herself in the way she knows how to, and doesn’t let people push her around. Yes, her arguments with her sister are hard to watch, but for those of you who don’t have a sister who is close in age to you and has a similar profession (which can cause tension and arguing and trying to be the better one), its hard for you to say that “she should ALWAYS be on her side”. just like best friends may have a huge blow out in their relationship, so do sisters. was it okay to out Kim as an alcoholic? no. but from the reunion, you could see that she didn’t want to talk about, that Kim didn’t want to talk about it, and they just want to deal with it privately. Kyle said several times that she overreacted or was too mean. At least she is accepting her actions and just because you don’t see her apologize directly here doesn’t mean it wasn’t done in some other way or at another time.

  17. smith says:

Not much to add, I feel most everyone is spot on with their comments. I stand by my first episode assessment:

    – Before Camille lost her narcisisstic mind
    – Before Kim crumbled before our eyes
    – Before Taylor revealed her twisted, unhappy, little girl self
    – Before, when Lisa seemed the sanest – she’s been changing toward the negative – maybe she’s afraid if she doesn’t stir the pot she will be cut?
    – Before I got used to seeing Adrianne’s face full on and it would startle me every single time (used to it now and I sort of love her)

Back then, it was evident that Kyle was just dark inside. She is a vile, vile woman. I will not defend Camille’s sociopathic behavior throughout the season BUT I firmly believe she was sent as KARMIC payback for Kyle’s past deeds. I hope she gets every last drop of what she deserves.

  18. clorismetchum says:

i can’t help it. i love me some camille!!!!

  19. Riley says:

i was just looking over these pictures and i noticed that Kyle has her stomach covered by a pillow in every one, which adds to my suspensions that she is pregnant.

  20. guesty says:

Lisa & Kyle give me such pause…obviously Lisa is not a good judge of character or Cedric would never have been in her life. She needs to wake up & smell the coffee with that vile wannabe she calls her bff.

So wish Allison would have made an appearance…lol.

  21. Jacq says:

Look, anyone out there with a sister – Have you had a nasty fight? Really nasty? Now what if it got played out in the press and NO ONE knows the real story. There are a lot of things involved that go back to day 1 for these ladies. As I have said before, Kim seems to be the drunk, incapable of making good decisions or picking up her own pieces. I live in San Antonio and my husband used to be friendly with Kim’s ex-husband. She’s a total mess. Now, Kyle, Kyle, Kyle… Still love her. Still team Kyle. I understand how she can lose her patience with her sister after they’ve been down the road a million times. And them Kim shows up wasted and wants to hurl a bunch of insults at her and her friends and she went berzerk. I sorta get it and I sort of get how Kim has to get drunk to say what she means. Family can wear you down and wear you out like no one else.
Lisa? She is pure class and humor. Cedric? I think he’s just pissed that he is out on his ass.
Adrienne, well, you could have missed her if not for the awful plastic surgery she’s had between now and the end of the show.
Taylor looked better than she did all season, but when you’re marriage is hunky-dory, you don’t cry when you talk about it. It must the the best arrangement for them financially and she can just get strange-guy dong on the side – cause, honestly, who thinks Russell is actually checking-in on her?
Camille? Ugh. Just a groan. I don’t think that she spun the reunion well enough to garner any favor, but it did serve to soften her just a bit. But I know she’ll be back.

  22. Kait says:

I’m with Madge – Kim is a drunk. She’s an addict and she plays the pity vote to make her sister look bad. She guilts her sister, brother in law, and children in to staying around her so she can still feel important. I hope Kim is gone next season because I found her the most boring self pitying moron of a housewife yet.

Kyle is a bitch. But I don’t blame her. Her sister is a wreck. I’d be fed up too.

I love Lisa and Adrienne and their spouses.

Taylor is a big hot mess. Her husband is a jerk. I can’t believe she actually chased him down. What could she possible see in him other than dollar signs?

  23. LT says:

@devilgirl – I agree w/ your comments except the Cedric/Lisa comment “Lisa and her husband asked for it though, by continuing to allow him into the ir lives. It should have tipped them off that Cedric had no one in his life, other than them.”
Lisa & Ken cannot be blamed for this – they truly believed Cedric’s story and took him in and cared for him almost like a son. And Lisa even admitted that she didn’t want to believe what others were saying to her about Cedric, because she cared about him too much and how she wishes she could have seen him for who he was. Cedric will go far as an actor, since his entire life has been nothing but one big play.

Camille Camille, just OWN UP to something! She says she’s not trying to blame everything on her marriage, that it was a fact that it was happening and she was under stress. But that doesn’t make up for the fact that you said what you said and did what you did. Just admit that you acted like a bitch (esp w/ those comments about Mauricio, yikes) and move one.

Kyle. I am so anti-Kyle now it sickens me. She IS a bully with Kim and there’s no other way around it. “Tough love” my ass. There’s a difference between tove lough and just acting like a total controlling, domineering, bossy, bullying bitch.

Kim. She was classy last night and overly so when it came to Kyle. She wants to let it go and move on, so good for her. But damn, I would have wished she had stood up a little more for herself and called Kyle out. Of course, Kyle would have just denied it.

Lisa. Love her, will forever love her. Even though she stands up for Kyle more than she should.

Taylor. WHY does no one call her out more?! Thank God Andy said to her “you started that fight you know”, but even then she wouldn’t just effing admit it! Uhg. Bottom feeder.

Adrienne. Peacemaker, fun to watch w/ Paul, love her too.

  24. Marjalane says:

100% agreement with celebitchy’s recap. It amused me to hear Kyle smack on Cedric for wanting 15 minutes of fame…Kyle with the petulant, “I too, was a child star” Ha! I think Kyle was good and pissed that she was called out for being such a bullying bitch, AND did you see her shove that pillow down between herself and Kim after she asked to sit next to her?! Talk about a tell!

Kyle can claim to be blissfully happy with her player husband, but her anger and attitude screamed jealousy; jealousy towards Camille, towards Kim, and probably towards Lisa just for being so damn wealthy! And speaking of Lisa, that bit with her and Taylor trying to act so concerned that Kim get help and INSISTED on bringing it up in front of the camera’s even after Kim said she didn’t want to talk about it. That was cheap and pre-planned. Lisa must have told Kyle she would be the “bad guy” and do it. I don’t like her that much anymore- she made a point of saying how she was Kyle’s friend and didn’t know Kim that well- (but well enough to claim she “loved her”) and then decides she’s going to discuss her alcoholism on Nat’l TV. Bitch.

Still holding onto my opinion that Adrienne is a worthless bore. A plastic, overly tanned, tranny looking worthless bore, and Taylor is just hideous. It’s a good thing she’s got money, because she has nothing else going for her. God, that mouth is the stuff of nightmares. Camille and Kim totally rebuilt their reputations on these reunion shows, and whether they admit to reading the stuff that “cowards who hide behind their computers” write, they have to know that we, the viewers, have shifted our support from Kyle to Camille in a BIG way. I would love it if Mauricio dumped Kyle for Camille- THAT, would be classic!

  25. Mshuffleupagus says:

I have to say I think Taylor is the real villian of this show. Kyle’s an angry bully and Camille is a passive aggressive punisher, but Taylor plays them both. Kim’s the only one that spot’s her sh*t because she doesn’t know how to be that phony popular girl the way the other girls do. Taylor is muther effin Iago……..if Iago was a post-op platypus.

  26. Iggles says:

After the finale and the reunion I can’t stand Kyle. I used to like her all season, but what she did to her sister showed her true colors.

I actually like Camille more after the reunion episodes. Taylor is vile. Lisa needs to have better judge of character.

I adore Kim and wish her the best. I’m indifferent to Adrianne but I like how she tries to smooth things over instead of stirring the pot.

  27. k says:

    Kyle and Taylor are evil

  28. LT says:

    @Iggles – very well said!

  29. wunderkindt says:

Camille will obviously come back for seaon 2. She isnt finished fighting with Kyle yet. Camille’s squinty little beady eyes tell us so!

Taylor’s divorce is obviously on the way. I expect she and Russell will be separated and ‘trying to work it out’ by the end of season 2.

Taylor will look for someone richer/better looking just like Tamra Barney did when she dumped Simon.

  30. Lindsay says:

I don’t think Cedrick is a cold hearted extortionist. Things ended badly, he acted out really badly. But you don’t spend 15 years trying to get money out of people while working for them and in the end that’s your plan. At that point he was in their will, waiting for them to die would have been a better plan. He is not that smart and not that good of an actor, this was a last minute scheme to make money. I don’t think either side is telling the truth.

  31. Nicky says:

Wow. Having three siblings I understand the Kim/Kyle dynamics, and Kyles unfairly taking the hit for this. If she was the nasty bitch people are saying she is, she would have walked away from her sister years ago. She clearly loves her. She is also clearly frustrated by years of putting herself out for Kim. Kim is a high maintenance sister without a doubt. Don’t be so quick to judge her.

  32. Lila says:

    I still hate Camille.

I think Kim is too concerned about upsetting Kyle to be honest about their relationship. If that’s how she deals with her emotions, then she can’t possibly ever get better. Alcoholism has a lot to do with poor coping mechanisms.

Kyle does bully her, and she is not being honest about her contribution to the family. She was not the breadwinner to the extent that Kim was. Not even close. I read excerpts for that Oppenheimer book on Amazon. Interesting read. Kim’s mom was far more preoccupied with Kim, her little cash cow, who she was gonna marry off to a rich man and set her up for life. By her, I mean Kim’s mom. According to this book, Big Kathy was a sociopath, pitting her daughters against each other and forcing them to compete. Kyle was never on top, and Little Kathy married a Hilton. The book pretty much corroborate Kim’s claims that she paid for everything. And is still paying for everything while her sisters moved on only to look back just to roll their eyes at Kim.

    And I still hate Camille.

Taylor is repulsive. Ick. She’s a close second to Camille. I’m starting to think that if what Kim and Kyle said about Kyle being like their mother, I can only feel for Kim even more.

  33. Amy says:

    Nicky,

I have siblings as well and there have been problems but I don’t understand the “dynamics” of constantly marginalizing one’s sister, scorning the person at every turn and topping it off by physically attacking her. Oh, and let’s not forget the lovely act of outing substance abuse on national television.

She never apologized for ANY of it. She only says that no one understands and that maybe she shows too much tough love. Gross. She lets her friends make fun of Kim and attack her when she’s not doing it herself.

  34. Boat says:

Ugh, Kyle is really horrible, and Taylor worships her. It would be so awesome if they fight next season! But I’m sure Taylor won’t do anything to upset Kyle. Also, I seriously doubt everything is GREAT in Taylor’s marriage.

  35. Lila says:

Hey, did anybody catch what Kim said when they replayed that clip of Kim and Kyle fighting in the limo? Right after Kyle outed Kim’s alcoholism, Kim shot back that she also has a fondness for drinking. She kept mumbling, “Oh my, god, oh my god, and who sits around all day long drinking cocktails?”

  36. RealisticViewer says:

I agree with Kyle that relationships with family is complex and because she is not the fragile flower like Kim doesnt mean she is this vile person most commentors are making her out to be. By no means am I a fan of Kyle (Lisa is my favorite) but I do think she is being targeted unfairly because she is not showing as much emotions as Kim is. I think people are often judge unfairly if they do not respond to things as people think they should. If Kyle was an apologetic emotional wreck last night would it had made everything better. I did hear the sincerity in her voice when she asked to sit next to her sister and you can tell that there is a lot of history there. Who doesn’t get defensive when they are being painted in an unfavorable light. To me, Camille was still as smarmy as she was since episode 1. There was no sincerity in anything she said last night. I fully believe the saying “when people show you who they really are, believe them”. I dont think Camille is any better person that what I saw throughout the show. Kyle is also still the same person I saw throughout the show… a very caring person who can be lethal with her words once provoked and does bullies her sister because that is the type of relationship they have cultivated over the years. That does not make her a good or bad person..it makes her human. Just like Camille and her matyr/victim sobfest she gives us. According to her, everything she did or said was because of Frazieeeerrrr.

Whenever I look at reality TV, I always think about what people would say about me if they just saw a snapshot of me. Sometimes it would be good, sometimes not so much. I think its crazy to label people as being vile, disgusting human being and any other extreme negative words when you don’t even know that person. I take it all with a grain of salt because I consider myself to be human at times too and say and do inappropriate things that I often regret.

  37. annie says:

Oh, the delicious irony of Kyle proclaiming how strong she is as she starts bawling! My husband laughed his ass off!

  38. D says:

I disagree! I think there is way more to the story behind Kim and Kyle than we know and that Kyle was trying her hardest not to “air dirty laundry”. She slipped up once already and in the heat of the moment and regretted it. Until we know then entire story I don’t think that continuous bashing of Kyle is even remotely fair.

I think Kim is a hot mess that knows how to manipulate people into wanting to help her, similar to Cedric.

I do feel sorry for Camille and her divorce but I am still team Kyle on this one. Her actions to Kyle are not all Kelsey’s fault unless you consider Camille’s jealousy of Kyle and her husband.

Being any sort of relationship with someone who has substance abuse problems can make people quite angry and/or resentful. Imagine 40 years of it. You might “snap” too.

  39. Wresa says:

Ugh, I can’t believe people are falling for Camille’s new image crap. She must have been coached for days to come off so different from how she did at the beginning of the season.

You talk a lot about Kyle’s facial expressions but what about Camille’s? She looked so satisfied when the sisters were crying about thier fight. Pretty sick…

I also think it is telling that all of the women are friends with Kyle and support her. She might be a bit of a pill, but at least What You See is What You Get with her, unlike Taylor or Camille.

  40. Kiska says:

Kim is too sensitive a soul to deal with those women. I do hope, for her sake, she stays away next season. As much as I like her on the show, I don’t wish for her to be bullied. I really like her a lot.

  41. Eileen says:

LOVE Lisa! She’s the only one I like on the show. I tweeted her last week if I had her permission to drop-kick her ex-houseguest if I ever see him and she sent me the NICEST direct message. Made my week!
I resepct Adrianne but she is hard to look at-her face is all jacked up. : /

  42. iknow says:

This morning I ran across an interesting post on “Realestalker” http://realestalker.blogspot.com/ Taylor and her husband don’t even own their house, they pay 15k a month to pretend like they are BH players. Their house felt like it was “staged” and now we know they really cannot afford the lifestyle. How could she spend on that $$ on her kid’s party?

  43. Statler says:

Thank you C/B for the extra long recap! Especially since I never got to watch the actual show- this article gave me my fix. (The Great Blizzard of ’11 is finally starting to let up here, hopefully all services will be back on soon.)

I mostly agree with the majority opinions: Adrienne’s undeniably the classiest (and with casino money! lol), Lisa’s my second fav but she needs to drop Kyle, or at least distance herself. Kim just reminds me of a wounded puppy, and I’m glad to see so many haven’t changed their opinions of Camille, regardless of how nasty Kyle turned out to be. Remember how Camille treated her cancer-ridden mother? That tells me all I need to know about her.

I think Taylor’s missing a huge PR opportunity with her charity and I wonder if anyone else agrees. Instead of her idiotic deflections/denials of what we all saw on camera, she should own her bullying, then spin it to reflect how children who witness abuse can develop abusive traits later in life. First off, it’s probably true in her case, and secondly it would be a smart (if nauseating) move, reestablishing her identity as a victim/bully. This could give her a whole new underdog persona if she played it right; it could be her powerful ‘character struggle’ and make her immensely more sympathetic. (Especially when I see how many were taken in by Camille’s shallow transformation.) Anyway, these are my cynical thoughts.

Wow, sorry for the inadvertent rambling- addictions do make you lose control sometimes 🙂

  44. jaye E says:

@Ann Carter…the “Kyle not saying I love you to Kim” is just not true. They said to to each other all the time throughout the season.

  45. Lisa Turtle says:

    Taylor just grinds my gears.

When Andy confronts her about starting the huge fight between Kyle & Kim, Taylor deflects, deflects, deflects. Instead of admitting to her part in the drama – which by the way WE ALL KNOW, TAYLOR DID START THE FIGHT- Lisa told her to apologize and make nice with Kim, instead she went up, got aggressive and defensive and then accused Kim of causing all the fights – Taylor simply denies it and blames Kim for drinking.

    Taylor sucks

  46. Mshuffleupagus says:

    Amy:

I couldn’t agree more. I have two sisters, and yeah, I don’t think anybody should call us on the way we fight because our relationships are on such a close level that nobody else would really understand the issues. Yet, no sister should ever humiliate their sister on live television. Kyle is a bully who is tired of not having a sister she can bring to the cool parties. If I ever said things to my sister like that, even more so on live television, I would be so ashamed and disgusted with myself for betraying her that I would not even have the gall to defend my reasons. Kyle is a terrible sister, all the more terrible because Kim needs a sister to treat her kindly and Kyle refuses to do so.

  47. devilgirl says:

@Statler- I wasn’t taken in by Camille at all, I just happen to see that there are two sides, and it is clear that since Kyle put this group of women together for the show, Bravo and Andy are going to skew things more in Kyle’s favor than in Camille’s.

As for how she treated her mother, it was reported that Camille’s mother didn’t feel comfortable on the show and that is why she was quiet and it seemed like Camille didn’t care for her mother. Her mother stated that Camille was very much a caregiver during her illness.

Let’s remember people, things are edited heavily and you do not know the sum total of anyone’s character from a snippet on a ratings hungry reality show.

  48. Chrissy says:

I think we saw different shows! I thought Kim was being gracious only b/c she doesn’t want to discuss HER issues. She didn’t want to deal with accusations of being an alcoholic so it was easier to just chalk it up to a sisterly disagreement. She was deflecting only out of self-preservation, not trying to be kind to her sister.

Camille was sitting forward most of the night with that awful look on her face … like she was trying to bait Kyle … and it worked every single time. Kyle did come off looking worse than usual but I never heard Camille apologize for anything. Everything was blamed on her divorce, her stress over the divorce, feeling bullied, etc. I still have no idea why/how Kyle is friends with Taylor. I have very little respect for Kyle based on that alone. REGARDLESS of family issues, I would never allow a friend to treat my family member the way Taylor has Kim.

I’d be thrilled with a Camille-less, Taylor-less, Kyle-less and Kim-less show!! Keep Adrienne, Lisa and GIGGY!!

  49. garvels says:

I never liked Camille, never will, even if she can disguise her true character with PR ploys. I just do not care for women who use their bodies and sex to get what they want in life. I guess that is why the Kartrashians make me violently ill.

I think Kyle is a narcissist with no soul. How could she possibly sit next to Taylor, knowing how Taylor bullied and chastised her sister.

I am so disappointed in Andy for not showing the airport clip where it was quite clear that Kim was telling the truth and not Taylor. I would have loved to see Taylor squirm her way out of that one. I also wish they would have shown a better clip of how Taylor approached Kim at the party…..Maybe Andy did not want to upset Taylor if he knew Kim was not coming back to the show.

  50. grazi says:

im very sad that this reunion wasnt recorded after the last episode aired.
I would looooove to see Kyle dealing with everything the public has to say about her, just like Camille had to.
It was really irritating that she was there throwing stones at Camille, telling her to own up to something, and when her despising behavior was aired, she just says ‘i dont wanna talk about it’. I was very mad about that. She is a horrible person, I dont understand how people still try to defend that. I have had fights with my sister, but I would never ever do what she does to Kim.

  51. jesa says:

Did anyone notice that Kyle was the only one that mention what was being said “on the blogs”… she said everyone was laughing at Camille on the blogs. Well wonder what Kyle is thinking now? I also have a friend who did close captioning on the limo fight because Kyle totally tried to drown out what Kim was saying, and yes Kim said that Kyle drinks cocktails all day. Kim never wants to really ‘out’ Kyle but I think Kyle has her own issues and her anger just gets worse when she drinks. And yes I would love it if Mauricio left Kyle to be with Camille. I noticed he was constantly watching Camille during the reunion, and blew her a kiss back. I bet Kyle gave him hell for that The cutest husband is of course PAUL.

  52. Poopsicle says:

I’m going to have to disagree. Camille has always stirred shit up this whole season. Her attitude changed as soon as people started talking crap about her personality. Its all a front. Kyle I’ll admit is aggressive at times but I think shes way better and genuine than fucking Camille. Kyle’s relationship with Kim I think is somewhat normal for sisters. I fight with my sisters all the time like that, I don’t think she’s a bad sister. People show love in different ways and with sisters sometimes you argue.

  53. Statler says:

    @devilgirl-

Oh I’m in agreement about Kyle vs. Camille; I honestly don’t know which one is worse. Kyle seems to have the edge with a slightly better social skill set, but we’ll see.

As for Camille and her mother, the scene I was referring to (and yes, it was a snippet, fair enough) was that infamous one where her mother tries to discuss her illness, only to have their visit hijacked by Camille. (‘Yes- it’s just dreadful- now it’s possible that *I* might get cancer too, *I* of course had to get testing done at [namedrophospitalhere] and guess what? *I* carry this dreadful gene, thanks Mom. Something else to worry about.’ Etc, etc, obviously this isn’t verbatim.) Disgusting- and as I recall, it was not a heavily edited scene. I’ll have to go back to check the camera changes, but I’m under the strong impression that it was all of a piece and this was Camile’s honest, genuine response.

She may have been ‘very much a caregiver’ but that care didn’t include any significant emotional support that I saw, nor does anything in Camille’s overall character suggest that it would. So yeah, I’m still judging, big time.

  54. annie says:

Does anyone remember when Mauricio was leering at Kyle’s hairdresser,”nice, nice” when she was getting ready for the white party?

  55. anonymei says:

Taylor is muther effin Iago……..if Iago was a post-op platypus. LMAO. I almost lost my lunch out of my mouth. Too good.

  56. Az says:

Did we all watch the same show?

Camille should be paying a fortune in bonuses to whatever PR firm has been coaching her because they have been doing a stellar job. Unfortunately, not even the best PR firm can hide those googly lizard eyes of hers. The real Camille is in there and no one can maintain a false front forever. When she cracks,it will be spectacular.

Kim looks better. She is totally 12-stepping her way into recovery. That’s why she wouldn’t discuss anything about the fight. I do hope she gets better because she, out of all those women,is the one who most deserves to be at peace and happy. I think she got dragged into the show and needs time to recover before getting into that situation again.

I’m glad Cedric didn’t murder Lisa and Ken while they slept. I think they were the only ones who couldn’t see him for the psycho hustler that he is. I thought it was very telling that Lance Bass wouldn’t say much about him even though they dated. I hope that Ken and Lisa’s having taken Cedric in doesn’t have any worse consequences than what they have had to face so far. I loved watching Ken and Lisa banter back and forth;they were too cute.

Love the Adrienne and Paul relationship. They crack me up.

Taylor…I can’t even look at her much less listen to anything she has to say. Or care, for that matter.

And finally, Kyle. If you haven’t walked a mile in the shoes of someone who has to constantly protect or take care of a sibling who can’t fend for herself, then you can’t judge Kyle. I think it is especially difficult wen a younger sibling has to take care of an older one. Many times what can be considered being bossy or bullying is simply the only way you can deal with the person because it’s like dealing with a child. Normal behavior doesn’t apply anymore. And when the sibling gets better then there is a whole new set of challenges to get through, which is where I think Kyle and Kim are now. I wish them both the best; they have a long, hard road ahead of them.

  57. poof says:

Still love Kyle. She is real and say what is on her mind. I like that. Lisa is my favorite. Always classy and now Ken too. Wow, that sense of humor! I see why they are together. Also love Adrienne and her husband. Such classy people. But of course, I’m half Arabic so I might be partial.

  58. Anonymous says:

#14, I TOTALLY agree with you…there is MUCH more to the Cedric story. After watching his video clip, I DO think he speaks the truth on many things. That’s not to say that he didn’t start a nasty row with Lisa and say horrible things to Ken and THEN tried to extort money or whatever from them, BUT I DO think that there’s more to the story. I wonder if Lisa is shaking in her boots. What has Cedric got on her (them). Hmmm…

  59. lin234 says:

I’m actually glad the reunion show filmed before the show was over. Kyle has been following people’s comments to her on her blog. She has acknowledged that she could treat her sister better. What we see here is that she still thinks she has everyone’s goodwill towards her so she acts accordingly. It’s why she isn’t more apologetic towards Kim about Taylor starting the fight during the finale and why she feels so high and mighty over Camille. I think she would have tried to act more sympathetic if the reunion was filmed after the series ended.

Camille has very cold, dead eyes. The way she treated her mother says it all. She certainly didn’t seem stressed out at all when she was hanging all over Nick and in Hawaii when she called herself Jesus. I agree that she has hired pr consultants to help her with her image. Even when she was being “sad” over finding out Kelsey left her, it really looked like she was acting.

Also, I saw that video where Taylor was completely drunk after the premiere and Kyle said Kim was the one who started drama or was filled with drama. I think that says everything about Kyle and her feelings about Kim.

I can’t believe Adrienne is 49 years old!I thought she was a very tightly pulled together 40 year old considering her kids are so young. Adrienne is supposed to be very good friends with Taylor and I find it interesting she doesn’t come to Taylor’s defense over the fighting with Kim. She’s the only housewife who tried to make friends with Kim.

Does anyone think Taylor tries so hard to be close to Adrienne because she’s aiming for access to one of the Maloof brothers? She’s the type to drop Russell in a second if she found another sucker willing to marry her.

@annie- I remember! His eyes were definitely all over that hairdresser in front of his wife! It made me think twice about him. The hairdresser wasn’t even pretty if I remember.

  60. Jayna says:

There’s so much to say. I don’t have the time now. The one huge thing that stood out that bothered me is Kyle tells Camille what’s wrong with her actions and expects apologies, expects apologies from her sister, and did you see her face when she was called out on her behavior to her sister by Andy and then Camille and her sister? She was stonefaced. She can’t admit anything. She fudged and called it tough love. No. That’s a copout. People are also talking about the way she treats her on everyday things, life. And she couldn’t own up to that completely and she expects Camille to own up to everything.

Priceless. Kim was a doll on there since she was still ganged up on and the mean girls were still trying to blame her for that night at the birthday party. Not one, but Andy, called Taylor out for starting the whole mess. They are trying to blame alcohol on everything and blame it on Kim. MEAN GIRLS. Kim – gracious, classy on the reunion.

  61. Addicted to RH says:

So interesting to read everyone’s take on the final reunion show. One thing to keep in mind…and someone began the convo about it above…but it seems that Taylor is not quite what she pretends to be. I read that she changed her name and tried to pass herself off as a Ford “of the automotive Fords.” Taylor and Russell are just pretending to be rich. Not sure if links are allowed here, but check this out:
    http://www.realfauxhousewives.com/2011/01/12/taylor-armstrong-aka-chankla-face-real-name-is-shana-hughes-armstrong/

  62. Jeannified says:

I COMPLETELY agree with #30. I think there are two sides to this story and that Cedric acted badly at a crucial moment, but he was scared of an unknown future after having been with the Vanderpumps for so long, under their protective wing. I think Lisa could forgive Cedric for his lashing out at them, and become friends with them again, BUT her husband KEN is so incensed over the things that Cedric said, that he (Ken) will probably be the main reason why Lisa and Cedric don’t patch things up. It WAS horrible, what Cedric said, BUT the video clip of him speaking sounded like he was being sincere. They are probably BOTH telling the truth, as each sees it.

  63. Jayna says:

P.S. The way Taylor holds hands with Kyle and the way, on that drunk video, she was stroking Faye’s hair and then stroking Kyle’s hair and loving on Kyle and looked like she grabbed her breast almost, and bringing up on the reunion show I would kiss Kyle, I think that Taylor has the hots for Kyle.

  64. Jeannified says:

At #54…YES!!!! I TOTALLY noticed that and wondered about that too, especially since it was after teh dinner party, where Camille had said that “Mauricio loves the ladies!” I thoguht that was creepy, too!

  65. lin234 says:

Jayna- I think Taylor being touchy with girls is along the same line of thinking when she basically acted like she was giving head to cotton candy. She tries to be sexy but it backfires and she looks desperate.

  66. Jayna says:

Maybe so. But I dislike Taylor so much right now. Andy called her out on instigating the fiasco and not one of those ladies backed him up and apologized to Kim. It infuriates me. Kim is an alcoholic. Fine. But that night went horribly wrong because of Taylor being verbally agressive towards Kim from the get-go and Kyle coming over thinking it was Kim who was starting trouble. No one calls Taylor out on it, but freely throw around “alcohol.” So Kyle’s behavior is Kim’s fault, I guess, and Taylor’s behavior is Kim’s fault that night according to them. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, It infuriates me that they got away with that last night.

  67. Liana says:

Kyle shrugged and then framed the whole argument around HER and how SHE felt. “I would give anything to take back that night. It’s created so much anxiety over the past few months, it’s been really painful.” It’s been painful for Kyle, and it’s all about Kyle all the time.

    *************

All hallmarks of a codependent person. What and who will she be once Kim gets sober and on her feet? She will have to find someone else to emotionally leech off of.

  68. garvels says:

Yayna-I agree with you 1000% about Taylor. This isn’t very nice, but I hope her lips explode from the constant sucking up she does to Adrienne and Kyle:)

  69. rena says:

I was really disturbed by Lisa over the past few shows. She was so much my favorite but some things have started to bug me during the reunion ahow. She was on to Taylor, as the instigator in NY and her lofty ambitions, and it looked like she was going to expose her (I was hoping) but now they’re cozy buddies. Creepy! I thought she had more backbone and it sickens me that she has been so sweet to her. Phoney?
And then last night when she defended Kyle as no bully and threw Kim under the bus with her insinuations that Kim had a drinking problem. I thought that was especially unkind and unnecessary. And frankly cruel. And I thought she was so kind and classy all season. Maybe she just couldn’t keep up the act?

@Lila. From what I’ve learned about “big Kathy” WHOA!! *the Richard’s mother) she was awful, ambitious, cutthroat,….and Kyle simply adored her!!

Anyway, my antenna is up when it comes to Lisa now. I hope I’m wrong.

  70. Venus says:

It seems that even if Kyle skins live puppies on tv, some people are still going to defend her.

I guess they’re like the 33% who stuck by GWB no matter what.

  71. 6 says:

    Whatever happened to baby Jane?

    (Kyle and Kim)

  72. rena says:

One other thing…What’s the deal with Andy and Kyle? Did she cast a spell on him? He seemed so softball with her and sooo sympathetic as to Kyle:Camille, Kyle:Kim catfights.

  73. Kiska says:

@ rena Andy has his favourites. Bethenny Frankel being his number one pet.
Notice she has her own show now? It pays to suck up to Andy Cohen.
Also, I am also disappointed with Lisa. I now believe she is a terrible judge of character. Considering a vile man like Cedric could get away living free in their home and included in her will!!!! However, I do believe Lisa tries to see the good in people. My Mother is the same way, people will walk all over her and she’ll still treat them like friends.

I wish they spent more time with the husbands and that they had Allison Dubois on the Reunion. That would have been GREAT tv.

  74. bros says:

@ Venus: dumb comment. Politics in real life has nothing to do with RHOBH. stop equating them with the implication that all people who dont think kyle is the devil love george W bush. just specious.

and I am very surprised that people think there is something sincere about Cedric! the man is a total grifter, and probably sociopathic! he creeeeeps me out completely and he a total con artist who will do shit like that again the minute he finds a soft target. He was in Lisa’s will for chrissakes! there are men who do that to old ladies in Florida and women who do the same thing to vulnerable types. Lisa and Ken aren’t in the typically vulnerable demographic, but they were completely conned by this guy.

y’all know my position on Kyle and her needy manipulative sister, as well as Silicone the Magic Dragon Camille who is devoid of real human emotion and might be an android with a wire or two loose. Taylor got even more despicable, Camille did nothing remotely redeemable and seems inexplicably unable to recognize any of her own behavior and comes up with the most absurd excuses over and over to explain herself away because this is the first time in 13 years someone made her answer for herself. I think she was completely unprepared for her TV debut and has a huge blind spot when it comes to herself. She should stick to Skinemax.

  75. robbie says:

I thought Lisa was gonna expose Taylor, too. I think Lisa’s afraid of doing it because she doesn’t want to jeapordize her relationship with Kyle who is Taylor’s new BFF.

@iknow and Addicted. Shana Hughes (now Taylor Armstrong -three name changes latter) went to Union HS in Tulsa Okla, you can check out her hs pix. The comments from her classmates were unanimous that she was a b**** then and couldn’t be trusted.

Clearly she is a fraud and so socially ambitious that Russell (that poor dolt) who btw declared bancruptcy in 2005, will probably be traded in as soon as Shana, ooops Taylor, can find a better replacement.

  76. rena says:

I heard somewhere that Bethanny and Kyle are great friends. Think it was a WWHL with Kyle. It is fishy.

I am shocked that no one is talking about Taylor Armastrong AKA Shana Hughes AKA Taylor armstrongford. There is a really juicy story about them. there are a few lawsuits against Rusell for defrauding. And also that Taylor made herself pass as a Ford heiress.

@bros — you shouldn’t be throwing the words “dumb” or “specious” around when you can’t even understand an analogy. Nowhere did I say that people who like Kyle also like GWB — I said — very clearly — that no matter what Kyle does, some people refuse to hold her accountable & will defend her. This situation is analogous (hint: that means they are not the exact same, but similar) to those who, no matter what GWB did, refused to hold him accountable & will defend him. That in no way implies that Kyle IS GWB or that people who like Kyle also like GWB. What it is, though, is a perfect analogy for the Kyle apologists.

  79. echolocate says:

Hi, Az–regarding your comment “then you can’t judge Kyle,” I still think we’re allowed to evaluate her behavior on the show, and ability to exercise sound judgment. She lunged at her sister in the limo, and I wondered what might have occurred if she hadn’t landed practically on Martin’s lap, with Adrienne forming a barrier between her and Kim.

If this is how she reacts to frustration when dealing with a substance user–while she was being filmed for a nationwide television show, was wearing a very tight dress, and there were two unrelated adults caught in the crossfire–what does she do when she gets frustrated with Kim and all those factors aren’t present? Smack a bitch up?

Admittedly, I don’t know what she does off-camera, but her reactions on the reunion show indicate that her display of physical aggression wasn’t that unusual or rare. What was rare was that everyone saw it. I thought her eye-rolls and dismissiveness were partly because it’s so common in that relationship.

Most families of addicts do not lunge at them in anger. Even when the addicts are themselves violent, family members develop strategies to defuse the situation.

Is there anyone out there who remembers when Stephen slapped Irene on Real World Seattle and it was such a scandal? I realize that physical violence is sadly commonplace on reality TV, but it remains against the law. As angry and crazy as the NY and OC casts get, I have yet to see lunging. Kyle, Teresa G., Nene, et al. need anger management classes.

And, to be honest, of all people on the show, I think I can judge Kyle–she’s the person who lined up the cast, not someone who had to be begged to participate and knew nothing of these shows.

  80. Renee says:

Once again I’m with Bros. Camille’s excuses were frustrating and I’m glad Andy called her out on it.

  81. Venus says:

@echolocate — you are so, so right. First, Kyle signed up for this show, that give us every right in the world to judge her behavior on it. Second, I have a brother who is a recovering alcoholic (3 years sober) and I never, ever lunged at him nor did I put him down to others behind his back. If he had been drunk at a party & left after a fight & I knew he had a driver to take him home, do you know what I would have done? I would have LET HIM GO HOME. (Now, if he was driving, yes, I would have followed him to give me his keys & make sure he took a cab, or let me drive him home, but that wasn’t the situation with Kyle — she had her manager call the driver to make sure Kim didn’t go home for the sole purpose of attacking her some more). When he was sober the next day — and only when he was sober because you never engage an alcoholic when he is drunk because it is futile — would I talk to him about his behavior. When my brother was drunk the LAST thing we did was confront him then & there. And yes, it took many years of talking to him –when he was SOBER & in private surrounded by people who loved him so he would feel “safe” — certainly never in front of people who are basically complete strangers (camera guy, Martin, Kyle’s alleged “friends”) — to convince him that *maybe* he had a problem & yes it was sad & frustrating when he would blow us off and get defensive about his drinking, but we were never hostile to him, and it finally sunk in. There is NO excuse for Kyle’s behavior.

  82. Jayna says:

Guys, read Realitytea’s assessment of the Part two show. Fantastic insight. And they post a tweet that Lisa made during the showing of the limo scene last night. I’m very disappointed in Lisa. No blame for Taylor causing that scene at the party and still using alcohol and Kim as the issue and nothing against Kyle for her horrific behavior.

  83. Tess says:

    @ Venus

And just to extend your analogy…. Kyle’s fans not only have a lot in common with W’s, but with Bill Clinton’s, too.

He’s failed miserably in Haiti, yet his followers refuse to hold him accountable for his ineffectiveness and continue to defend him.

YOU are most definetely a clever girl. At first I thought you were suffering from Bush Derangement Syndrome and that you were a crackpot for dragging Bush into a discussion of the RHOBH, but I get it now.

  84. hatekyle says:

kyle played the villainess housewife to the hilt during this season. she dishes words like delusional, demented, alcoholic, witch, morally corrupt like a slot machine coughs up a jackpot.

  85. rena says:

The thing is that while Kyle calls Kim and Camille, “Dillusional,” “crazy,” etc…maybe she’s the one who is. Maybe she’s the one who wants 15 minute of fame. She’s a pretty manipulative b -, when you start putting all the pieces together. Did anyone catch when she admitted that she brought Faye Resnick more or less for backup. And of course she was showing everyone Camille’s porn movie as they drove to the dinner party. I mean yeah they’re not friends but how nasty is that to accept a dinner invite to someone’s house and undermine them on the way over. What a sh**!! I am shocked that so many people still defend her behavior. It’s as if they think being the sister of an adict absolves her. But what about her behavior elsewhere?

I think she thinks she’s teflon and can do whatever she wants. Not a lot of substance to that one. And she reads the blogs about herself. Geezus

  86. Miriam says:

I think Celebitchy is dead wrong on her writeup about this show. Perhaps drunk or stoned when she watched it. Camille was NOT gracious and full of apologies, only when she was cornered and had no choice. I don’t know what was expected of Kyle, for her to commit suicide right there, to satisfy the haters?
I don’t know how much more contrite she should have been. I venture to think Celebitchy doesn’t have younger addicted sisters?
Kim may have been the more sucessful of the 3 sisters but Kyle’s point was that Kim was not the only one to have the burden of supporting the family. It you look at Kyle’s IMDB, she did enough that It definitely helped bringing food to the table.
A testament of Kyle’s character is her adoring friends, unlike Camille’s hired help.

  87. Marjalane says:

Oh Miriam, that’s so sad. Really, 6 hours a day? and it took you until comment #85 to get pissy about Camille? Hmmmmmmm.

  88. bros says:

yes then venus, by your special property of frivolous analogies, anyone who holds a previous opinion in the face of counter-evidence is like a kyle-lover: everyone who is christian, everyone who refuses to get their children inoculated, pretty much anyone who has a belief and sticks to it, which is like every single one of us! so its just kind of a lame and insipid analogy.

  89. CB Rawks says:

Jesus Kyle is a bitch! She reminds me so much of my sister.

  90. Venus says:

bros — Seriously? You can NOT be this obtuse. If you are, you need to face the fact that you do not understand what an analogy means & stop saying this ridiculousness out loud because you can sprinkle your comments with words like “insipid” and “frivolous” all you want, but they’re undercut by your COMPLETE lack of critical thinking — at this point, you are just embarrassing yourself. KNOW THAT!

  91. Lisal says:

I don’t judge any of them. These TV execs are geniuses and weave a salivating story with editing to get those precious ratings. We all have bad sides — imagine a film crew following you around for months. You’re gonna have some awful human moments. A friend of mine here in LA works on a hugely popular reality show, and the participants are talked into, pressured and oftentimes blackmailed into scripted scenes. Keep that in mind.

The only atrocious thing I saw worth mentioning was Allison Dubois, the medium at Camille’s dinner party. She was indefensibly wicked, and I was actually frightened.

  92. Miriam says:

    @lisal:
    AMEN!

  93. not a fan says:

I have never seen a full episode (I just can’t make it through without wanting to throw something at the TV). I had no idea that Kyle and Kim’s sister is Kathy Hilton (Mom to Paris and Nicky). I don’t know why, but suddenly their craziness makes a lot of sense.

  94. Iggles says:

Lisal – Couldn’t agree more about Allison Dubois! She outed herself as a LOON!

Venus – Loved what you wrote about how Kyle’s behavior towards Kim was indefensible. You made a ton of good points and the way you & your family dealt with your brother’s alcoholism is the *correct* way to go!

What is the point with arguing with someone who is drunk? (like Kyle did) And engaging them in anger? (like Kyle did) Using your cronies – I mean friends – to bring up your sibling’s alcoholism? (like Kyle did)

Kyle is so many shades of wrong. She’s WORSE than Camille. Everyone saw through Camille’s act and she had to own it and apologize. Kyle still has the other housewives by the balls. They’re so busy kissing her butt that she never has to apologize for the all the messed up things she’s done or said. It’s all about HER “I wish it it never happened. It was a really hard time” — NOT “I’m so sorry Kim. I apologize for my behavior. I was wrong that night and I’ll do my best to make things right.”

Really, there is a difference between apologizing for what you DID and saying you’re sorry for what HAPPENED. The latter deflects responsibility! It’s a classic “non-apology”!

Kyle is a nasty piece of work!

  95. SEM says:

Kyle is the completely delusional one because she seems to believe she’s a good person and her despicable behavior is justified! She’s a thoroughly disgusting woman and I’ve hated her from day one, glad to see her true colors have come out in glaring fashion.

  96. bros says:

sorry venus, i didnt mean to get you so riled up defending your bogus analogy. maybe you should go back and think about the form of actual analogies instead of freaking out and hurling personal insults and impugning my intelligence or ability to critically think.

  97. Kaylee says:

Kyle and Taylor are pathetic. No class. None.

  98. becnya says:

Yes! Yes! Yes! Finally someone who sees it how it is!!! Kyle is the true villain of the show. Taylor is Kyle’s toady.

  99. marianne says:

Frankly, I think Kim should walk away from this show with her head held high and say who needs to be associated with these shallow women who are if nothing else, full of ego and Kyle is Number One in this department.

I think Kim showed that she has class and can walk away from this knowing that of herself and her sisters she has been and always will be the REAL STAR and the MOST REAL one in the family and I wish her nothing but the BEST because she truly deserves it.

  100. ruffnsweet says:

Kyle was my favorite until I viewed episodes of her degrading her sister at any opportunity she was given. Kyle’s behavior on the finale and the reunion was equally disturbing. Kim was very gracious and heartfelt. I really feel sorry for her but I do understand why she’s apologetic to Kyle. She’s her sister. Kyle on the other hand, never apologized to Kim nor did she acknowledge or take responsibility for her behavior towards Kim. She’s a very disgusting individual.

  101. Hester says:

I agree that Kyle is the evil one. She was sneering throughout the show. I feel like Andy let her off easy and I don’t know why!! I wanted to her comments about her and wanted to know about her pressuring Mauricio into having another baby, etc! They let her off the hook. It was really lame. She is a bully. Period. She is horrible to Kim and she acts like a high school bimbo. I really hope she gets hers in the next season. Taylor irritates me. I agree with this blog post about Kyle. She is mean and she takes it out on her sister for whatever reason, it’s pretty sickening.
