Last year, around this time, Elisabetta Canalis was named the official crotch of Roberto Cavalli underwear. Cavalli is Italian, and so is Elisabetta. She also wears a lot of Cavalli gowns. And Cavalli loves George Clooney. So… it seemed like an okay fit, especially given the simple fact that Elisabetta’s career should consist only of wandering around in her underwear. I’m saying that the girl can’t act her way out of a paper bag, but she makes a half-decent underwear model. Anyway, Cavalli has released an image from Elisabetta’s latest campaign – I guess her crotch contract got extended. The shot is okay, but the shadow on her neck is certainly interesting. It’s like Cavalli knows there is gossip about her Adam’s Apple. No, I jest. Cavalli loves her!

Kaiser, if this is too graphic or explicit, I understand but I tried the seductive underwear thing once including a fancy headdress and hoped to steep the mood in nostalgic pulsating rhythms from a 70’s greatest hits 8-track tape I borrowed from my parents (Carmen Miranda meets Bogart in a sultry apple orchard as it were). I lit the scented candles (Mango Mist) to fill the room with a sensuous tropical ambiance and placed a stiletto heel on the bed to smooth a stocking before adjusting a garter (almost pulled a muscle). Barry White’s penetrating baritone in “I’m Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby” was about to have me writhing with abandon to begin a night of “amore libertad”.
Unfortunately, the toddling tune of Puff The Magic Dragon resulted in a failure to launch (Poor Puff). With all the dignity of an experienced madam, I gracefully advanced the tape knowing that whatever the song, the show must go on. To make a long story short, halfway through Miss Joplin’s Piece Of My Heart (Come on, come on and take it!) I was wearing my wonder bra like a surgical mask, the room looked like a cornucopia had been put through a wood chipper, and the curtains caught fire.
I think she looks good in that shot.
She’s beautiful regardless of her masculine features, the only thing that bugs me are her random tattoos, especially that arm band.
Looks like one of her trashy arm tattoos was airbrushed off. Obviously not the only thing that was airbrushed either.
SHe has a very masculine face. Perhaps her voice and demeanor is soft and even its out. I agree, she does have total * Man Hands*. Obviously, George finds this masculinity attractive. She does have a nice figure though.

Both Canalis and Cavalli give off a very dark aura, or at least that’s what I get from them. I guess that’s why Cavalli likes her, that and because of her being associated with Clooney which results in a little free advertising. This shoot looks almost identical to the last one, dim lighting, heavy makeup, contorted body position to make it look like she has a feminine waist and curves. She’s not attractive at all, very mannish even with makeup and photoshop. Clooney gave her some great opportunities, but she doesn’t seem interested in becoming anything better than the trash she is. I hope the publicity fauxmance contract is over because I want to use eye bleach whenever this skank appears on my computer monitor.

Cagnalis has commented at times on several blogs, though, resulting in much hilarity. Oh, there was also a lovely comment she recently made in Italian to a fellow commenter which translated to say “go f*ck sh*t” in English. If anyone is obsessed, it’s the skank and her publicist, the obsession being with controlling comments about her even if that means trying to defame and intimidate complete strangers on internet blogs. She apparently cannot accept the fact that she cannot control free speech and truth. As far as I’m concerned ANYONE can look great/beautiful as long as you have all the right people, it’s amazing to see the difference between a “before and after” when a transformation has taken place. Hairdressers.make-up artist,clothes,trainer,gym.It’s their job to make you look good.But when you take away all of that they are just ordinary looking people.Very few are beautiful naturally.It’s a big part of their job to look good/beautiful especially when selling/promoting something.
@Lucy, you may be right but I think that it is misunderstanding simply because in Italy the word “model” (modella/o) is generally (but not always) used to describe the people who actually work on catwalks, while people who are on campaigns like this Cavalli’s one are called “testimonials” (as she said). It’s not a matter of plain ignorance, just a different meaning of the word “model”.
And as an Italian speaking person myself I would condone such errors…

As a Portuguese speaking person, I would understand the mistake because in Portuguese the word model is used for both catwalk and advertising, when they refer it as catwalk they say Top model or work in a runway show to distinguish from a advertising model. Testimonials can be used in English for different purposes (advertising, testimony, validation…).
I just cannot understand how someone wants to make a living as an actress in a country where she barely speaks the language.

@Lucy, I’ve never said he wasn’t dating anyone. He’s just not “dating” Canalis. She was only his publicity front, having nothing to do with his private life. He never mentioned Canalis at all during the interview. Of course he would have gone along with a generic joke about an unnamed girlfriend. Canalis is a random woman, she’s homely, she picked him up in Italy– these are all things that Clooney has said in reference to Canalis. Their photo ops show that they are very uncomfortable with each other. You can’t fake chemistry, and they don’t have it. Add to that the fact that they are never together unless it’s for a photo op. I don’t think Canalis is able to get in touch with him anymore, can you say blocked phone number? She stayed in L.A. over the Golden Globes, probably hoping he would take her, but of course that didn’t happen, and then she showed up late for her job in Italy. It’s pretty clear that he’s not in touch with her unless he wants to set up a photo op, and I don’t think that’s going to happen again.

@loveyourwork, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This woman, if she is in fact a woman, is ugly, IMO. She’s short, so being tall has nothing to do with the size of her hands. She has weird bone structure including bowlegs, masculine features, and a wide neck. If she weren’t “modeling,” no one would be talking about her looks, but looks are the biggest job qualification for modeling. There are truly beautiful women who get lots of love on this site: Mila Kunis and Julianne Moore, to name a couple. So your jealousy theory doesn’t apply. What’s to be jealous of, here? Being an untalented cokewhore? No, thanks. If I’m going to be jealous of someone, it will be of someone with more going for them than I have going for me.
