  1. Christina looks so old!!! Take my advice and get rid of that look, girl!!!

  2. Hey, I don’t think that Christina looks particularly unwell! She has always been known for having a very extreme and theatrical image and being willing to go further than everyone else with it. Which doesn’t mean that it looks pretty or even nice, but she can more than pull it off, because she has the personality to do these things. Also, her dress is rather nice… Even if the make up is utterly bizarre.

I think that Lindsay Lohan looked fairly well, even if her hair extensions are a bit on the obvious cheap strands of plastic side. Ashlee Simpson also looked great. Red hair suits her a lot and she looks healthy and happy.

  3. Nobody pointed out the signifigance of the Miley Cyrus “kissing” Katy Perry header pic. Remember that whole thing earlier this summer about Katy Perry saying she wanted to lock lips with the Achy-Breaky offspring, a ‘la Britney/Madonna?

Miley totally bitched about it and now she’s using it to try to get attention.

  4. ZOMG YIKES.

Lohan looks like Denise Richards - the 40-something dirty trophy-wife look is not good.

Katy Perry is wearing feathered hot pants?!?!

Pink - just say ZOMG NO.

Sheryl Crow should be ashamed of herself.

  5. Lohan’s dress is fabulous. Though there is something dirty about her. I wish Ronson accompanied her on the red carpet.

I usually like Christina, but that dress does nothing for her bust. Makes it look droopy and squished.

THE TENDONS on Paris’ feet hurt me to look at!

The picture of Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus does make me sad. I think Katy Perry is adorable.
Elisha! When I saw them together I thought the same thing! Miley Cyrus is awful.

There’s something about those Jonas Brothers, they’re always stylish, and they’re well behaved. They’re finally a good Hollywood example.

I don’t know who some of these children are! They seem so so young. Just little Hollywood babies. I hope they don’t get sucked into the spiral of doom that seems to suck in so many young celebrities.

I do love Lauren Conrad’s hair.

No idea why I’m sharing this, like my opinion counts for something!
Whatever - it’s better than reading work emails!

  7. LL looks like she is back on the Bolivian marching powder & I STILL haven’t heard this Kat Perry person’s huge hit & I think I’ll keep it that way.

I feel so old & out of touch b/c I barely know who any of these people are, but I don’t care enough to actually learn who they are

  9. Bodhi & Kolby -
See it like I do: if they mattered, we’d know about them. We don’t so they don’t.

Ps. And what they definitely aren’t, apart from a tiny handful, is musicians.

  10. Pink’s ‘do makes her look like Catherine O’Hara’s Lola Heatherton character from SCTV :D

  11. Bodhi: My thoughts, exactly. I’ve never heard any of these people sing even one note. It’s a proud day.

  13. -loved lauren conrad’s look!
timeless glamour, was able to maintain her class and still look hot.
-cristina was bad all over. i do believe she was the only one to lipsync during her performance - my husband said he was going to puke if we didn’t fast forward.
-new fan of tokio hotel! such cuties and very humble & sweet.
-I THOUGHT THE SAME THING about miley. what a slutbag attention ho. oooooh- sorry, that’s a bit rough but, she is really letting me down lately. when i saw her mom, i thought, ’she has probably been instructed by the pr people to keep miley’s dumb butt from doing/saying anything stupid’. she needs to learn how to take a compliment bc, hey, that is what it is when someone says they would like to kiss you;)
don’t feel alone if you don’t know any of these fools. i am in the music biz and thought this year’s vmas were pretty crap. but i will still be watching when i’m 80 cause….it is a surefire way to gain at least a bit of knowledge about who is in, talented, idiotized, etc.

  15. That unzipped pocket over Lindsey’s butt looks like a rip. The dress is OK, but the pockets should have all been closed. I don’t like Christina’s look, but I do like the dress. Pink’s dress looks like a beach awning.Re Ashlee Simpson: why do pregnant women pose with their arms/hands under the baby? Is there a risk of the baby falling out? I’m glad I wasn’t sitting behind the guy/gal with the big fright wig. (I hope it’s a wig!) And I don’t know who most of these people are, either!

  17. Was that Wonder Woman?? No wait just Katie Perry.
Pink: sorry love you looked awful!
Christina: Hell no! That look is not flattering on you - take it back a notch, maybe I will forgive you!

  18. rlr260 - pregnant women pose that way so that you can see the belly! if she didn’t have her hands under her belly, the dress would just fall over it like… a tent or something. it’s about showing pride in your beautiful, swollen, baby-ful body! =)

  19. I think I’m older than some of you feeling good about yourself that you don’t know who some of these people are, so I’m gonna say it has nothing to do with age.

I knew who they all were, I love Pink (the video to So What is priceless in the scenes with Carey Hart, her ex-husband) and I think she looked fantastic. Katy Perry is a ton of fun, though I’m not convinced she’ll be around long. I Kissed A Girl is fun, but you should really listen to You’re So Gay, her take on emo boys, lol… hilarious.

I don’t know who, like, Lauren Conrad or Chase Crawford is or any of those people, but when it comes to the MUSIC there’s no shame in knowing exactly what’s out there.

  21. Yay Diva. With you all the way. Last year My brother asked me what new music he should get. I suggested Klaxons “Myths of the Near Future” and he said he already had it. My brother is 70.
LOVE Tokio Hotel’s aesthetic. In general, the fashion at VMA’s is a zillion times more fun than events where everyone is playing it safe. The frocks were more fun than the show itself, IMO.

  22. Katy Perry is only supposed to be 23? That means she’s younger than Britney Spears? Mmm, don’t think so. Look at her neck in this picture? Necks never lie. I think add +5 years maybe.
