Coyotes kill two of Paris Hilton’s dogs (update: not true)

An older picture of Paris kissing a sleeping pooch

Update: This story is not true and all of Paris’ accessory animals are said to be alive and well.

Paris Hilton lost two out of at least 17 dogs, most of them chihuahuas, from the virtual menagerie at her house. She also owns a goat, cats, two ferrets, a chinchilla and probably some other exotic pets, not all of them legal in California. It’s certainly not legal to have more than three dogs in LA without a breeder’s permit, and the Department of Animal Services visited her home at one point, but nothing much came of it.

Paris was devastated to discover that two of her more than a dozen dogs were attacked and killed by a wild coyote last night:

While Paris Hilton usually doesn’t get much sympathy from us, we’ve found that a coyote killed two of her dogs last night. A source tells X17 that Paris is “devastated” and has been crying non-stop. We’re shocked and sending our love to Paris — even though we’re wondering why the dogs were left outside all night.

[From Popeater]

The NY Daily News reminds us that wild animal attacks on pets are sadly common in LA and that Halle Berry and Demi Moore are among the dog owners who have lost pets in attacks.

Paris is not the most responsible pet owner and she should probably re-think the sheer number of dogs, cats, and various other animals she keeps. She does have help for her animals and seems to genuinely love them. That’s sad that two of her dogs were killed and our hearts go out to the defenseless little dogs, if not to Paris.

Aaww. My best cat ever, my weird log-like cat got taken by coyotes. It broke my heart and I keep mine indoors now – this really hurts…even for Paris Hilton.

  2. pissoff says:

Maybe “Coyote” is a new brand of handbag and the poor little dogs just suffocated from being shoved in there like an accessory.

  3. lola lola says:

Who the hell leaves their dogs outside all night in Southern California? That’s just selfish, stupid & typically Paris.

  4. Shannon says:

πŸ™ You can say what you want about Paris Hilton, but it’s always been clear that she really loves her pets. I feel very sorry for her and the little dogs.

  5. Amy says:

Yeah, she really loves her pets. Pfft. How many stories have we heard about maids finding a dead dog or two locked in a room in her mansion, completely forgotten by Paris?

If it wasn’t coyotes eating them, it’d be Joe Francis or something. Those poor dogs she buys from demented puppy mills are just accessories for her.

  6. Victoria says:

AWWWWW, that is so sad…We have foxes where I live and people have missed their cats and other small pets recently. I believe they are hungry and are getting their furry claws into anything that moves…Paris DOES love her animals and I hope she watches out for them a little more carefully!

  7. Mitsu says:

Is she trying to eat that poor little limp chihuahua? Scary! Maybe that explains why she collects them. 😯

  8. audrey says:

yes – it is heartbreaking when people do not take proper care of their animals. these poor little guys wouldn’t stand a chance against a coyote. and it is a REALLY bad choice to get them from puppy mills in the first place. millions of wonderful animals are put down everyday here in the US.

  9. daisy424 says:

Those pups are so tiny 😯

  10. K8 says:

One should never, EVER get a pet from a puppy mill. Most my pets have been rescues from hurricanes or have been neglected and/or beaten. All of them have been adopted.

  11. geronimo says:

Daisy – only saw your response to my Q re your dog a short time ago. Left a response on the Lynne Spears thread. So sad.

  12. daisy424 says:

Geronimo, Got it, thanks πŸ™‚ left you a message too.

  13. Nova says:

“Paris loves her pets….as accessories”, would be the ending to that statement. Anyone who has a shopping, partying and traveling schedule like Paris should never be allowed to have that many. Its hard to believe that animal services wouldnt do anything about that situation and even harder to believe that she would have them outside. There have been numerous stories out there of her abuse of her animals…so while i do feel terrible about those poor puppies, i feel no sympathy for Paris.

  14. geronimo says:

    Toasting, Daisy. πŸ™‚

Nova, thank you, you’ve said perfectly what I wanted to say here.

  15. Codzilla says:

I feel awful for the pups, and believe this tragedy just re-enforces the idea that Parasite should NOT be responsible for the life of any creature.

  16. chunkin says:

she is a vile human. she is notorious for not taking care of her dogs. rotten rotten person. poor dogs. they should all be taken away from her and put in good homes. they are just like accessories to her. pathetic.

  17. Syd says:

why couldn’t it have been her? Wild Coyotes really ought to eat her.

  18. Carrie says:

I am not a fan of Paris in the least. But to lose any animal that way is just terrible. I feel for the loss of her dogs.

  19. Anna says:

I’m sorry for the dogs, but please, she didn’t even know their names! You can bet your behind on that and this is just so gussied up into a sob story.

And while I don’t wish for any animal to die, isn’t it possible these dogs snuck out to meet the coyotes on purpose? ‘Cause I know that’s what I’d do if I had to be Paris Hilton’s pet. *shudder*

  20. Jessica says:

its sad for the dogs, but i feel no sympathy for Paris. her little dogs shouldnt have been outside alone in the first place, right? i really hate her. she’s got nothing to contribute to the world, and she needs to stop trying to corrupt Tarver Jennings!!!! i love Tarver, but now hes going out clubbing with Paris and stuff and it makes me sad that shes so manipulative.

  21. Tanille says:

all i have to say is, if she owns a chinchilla i hope to GOD she doesn’t own a Chinchilla jacket as well

  22. Time Bomb says:

Awww, poor Paris Hilton indeed. I feel worse for the animals.

  23. javagirl1 says:

I live in an Urban area, and there were four raccoons in my house the other night that came in through the cat door. A mom and three babies…very cute. I have a pet chicken who would have been eaten alive by them if I didn’t lock her up every night.

  24. whatevs says:

That’s terrible. No one should have to go through that, no matter how stupid and vapid they are. My cat is currently missing, thankfully there are no coyotes where I live.

  25. RAN says:

@ whatevs – I agree with your comment, it’s the poor pups that suffered and I’m sure Paris is cares.

I hope you find your cat – that’s more important than this thread at the moment. Does he/she disappear often?

  26. javagirl1 says:

Hope you find your cat Whatevs. Check the pounds. My husband found his cat by going door to door with a picture…the thing was so friendly people started feeding it.

  27. Lulu says:

2 adorable pups have been eaten and all you guys care about is abusing paris…

  28. whatevs says:

RAN, Javarigl1-Thanks guys, I hope I find him too. He’s been going outside during the day and coming in at night for the past month, but he never came home Monday night. I did go to the Humane Society and put a picture up, but they told me they have no holding policy since they get so many cats a week. The lady that works there every day told me he didn’t look familiar, thankfully. We live in a semi rural area, a lot of trees and bushes and everyone has about an acre to themselves so he might just be lost in the area. We’re going to the streets on all sides of us on Saturday with a picture, hopefully someone’s seen him. We just got a new kitten last week, so I think maybe he thinks he’s been replaced. I feel terrible cause I never really said goodbye before I went to work that day, I was in such a rush.

  29. RAN says:

Edit to my first comment: I’m sure Paris cares – not sure where the word “is” came from!

To whatevs – we have a few stray cats that we take care of and since we live in a partially rural/partially suburban area, we bring them into the garage at night. Can’t bring them into the house – too many pets inside already – the hubby would have grounds for divorce πŸ™‚

Anyway, a few of them leave for a few days at a time, then show up as if nothing is wrong – while I worried my fool head off the entire time. I hope your cat does the same thing – shows up in a day or so, none the worse for wear. I’ll be thinking of you… good luck on Saturday (if not before)

  30. javagirl1 says:

@ whatevs-don’t feel bad, cats are very understanding creatures. He knows you still love him.

  31. dumdee says:

i feel really bad for her πŸ™

  32. Jeanne says:

I’m a dog lover with 3 dogs so my tough words for Paris are because she is irresponsible and treats her pets like accessories. Any normal person couldn’t take care of 17 of anything, much less an airheady, overprivileged, no-talented celebuskank like PH. Bet she still has 15 dogs outside now. Who the hell keeps tiny bite-sized dogs outside anyway? If not a coyote, owls, other dogs could also kill them. With her money she could very easily have a Hotel Hilton for pets. Those crazy cat women who have 17-100 cats, I’m sure take way better care of their pets than Paris. Look how she’s holding her dog, looks like she’s blowing her nose with him. πŸ™

  33. vdantev says:

Is she kissing it or taking a bite ?

  34. Sunnyjyl says:

This is a bogus story. Her dogs are all alive and living better than we are.

  35. Alice says:

poor dogs, for having that nightmare as an owner in the first place…
i dont have one shroud of sympathy for paris and its clear there are plenty willing to give it to her… idiots

  36. Jessica says:

Paris is evil. I would feel sorry for the dogs if they had been killed (I know they haven’t) but it would be all her fault. She is irresponsible and should not be allowed to be in charge of any living thing. I hope a coyote kills her.
