Minnie Driver, 38, has chosen to reveal the first photo of her newborn son on her own terms and has posted a photo on MySpace. The picture features a fresh-faced Minnie holding her one month old son, Henry Story Driver. Driver has only dropped minor hints about the baby’s father and has not revealed his identity. She’s only said that he’s English, he’s “sort of in the same business,” and that “he’s really busy, like me.” There’s speculation that her costar on The Riches, Eddie Izzard, is the baby’s father, and that seems possible looking at the baby, but a lot of newborns probably look like Izzard. The baby is adorable and best wishes to Driver and the unknown husband.

That’s very sweet and a BRILLIANT way to debut your baby! Sort of. Until you realize the tabs can cut and paste and put it on the cover of their mag anyway.
The last line refers to the baby’s father as an “unknown husband.” Did she get married as well?

The thing I like best about this is that she looks like a REAL mother… a little scruffy, not too concerned about anything but her child. Every mother I know looks like this with a newborn (except usually not as good!) and god knows I did (definitely not as good). It’s much better than those plastic, fake photoshoots.
And he’s adorable.

…a lot of newborns actually look like lizards too, so I think he got lucky looking like Izzard. I would LOVE it if those two had a kid together!

I respect Minnie Drive’s decision to post a single, un-airbrushed photo of her and her newborn baby on her MySpace page. Wish I could say the same for Brad and Angelina (who sold both their twins’ baby photos and Shiloh’s baby photos for a total of several high double-digit millions).

I don’t know who Eddie is, but Minnie’s baby is a doll — well all babies are beautiful. Love to put my pinky finger in their little hand — they have such a strong grip.

Baby and mother are exceedingly beautiful. I miss the tiny little fingers and toes that my babies had! How cute.

Beautiful pic, gorgeous baby. Much as I love the idea of Eddie as the daddy, it’s just, if it is him, why all the secrecy? Minnie, when she referred to the father, made it sound as if it were someone who lived a much more private life than she did. And that’s not really Eddie. Just feel if it were Eddie’s, he’d be too thrilled about it to be keeping it to himself. Anyway, long as they’re all happy, eh.

You couldn’t get a better father than Eddie. I hope it’s true, as he’s always wanted a child. She’s going to be a great mom. She seems really “real”.
