Blake Lively went to the Time Magazine 100 party in a pale blue draped gown that was cut to reveal a bedazzled bra, similar to the black bra-baring dress she wore to the Boston premiere of The Town. I initially thought it was by the same designer, Antonio Berardi, but it’s Zuhair Murad according to Popeater. Leave it to Blake to find two cutaway dresses from different designers.
The talk isn’t about Blake’s fashion this time though, it’s about her hair. She dyed her trademark blonde locks a kind of strawberry blonde. The color looks very fake to me in the photos, like it’s a wig. It doesn’t seem to suit her, but that could also be due to her pale peach lipstick and very light pink blush. With other makeup she could probably pull it off. She’s pretty no matter her hair color, I just think she looked better as a blonde.
Popeater reports that Blake may have dyed her hair for her role as Glinda the Good Witch in Oz, the Great and Powerful. She has brown hair for her role in The Green Lantern, out this summer, and she told Billy Bush that she dyed it brown during filming, but we never saw her with brown hair around that time so she must have kept it under wraps. She revealed to Bush in early April that “I’m about to change my hair again for another role,” so I guess this is what she meant. I’m betting she’ll be back to blonde soon enough.

I like the dress, and I like her with that hair color. I’m not a Blake Lively fan. She reminds me of someone that I REALLY dislike, so that bleeds over. But I do like this look on her.
I don’t find her very attractive blonde either, but I don’t think the red suits her. I do, however, confess that I like the dress and the bra. I didn’t realize until CB pointed it out that it was a cutaway dress; I thought the bra was just part of it. But I think it is pretty.

I like the red hair. But it is never good to stand with a big red background behind you. She looks much better when its not there.
I also like the dress. And the bedazzled bra. Cause I can name a dozen actresses who would have wore that same dress, without the bra. So she gets points for keeping the girls covered up.

It looks nice…although, it’s not really red. A very subtle strawberry blonde. I didn’t even notice a change until the last pic.

I don’t think I’ve ever posted anything positive about her so this is a first for me! I think this is the best she’s ever looked. Slightly less generic and bland.
She has such strong facial features she really needs a style that softens her face and forehead, as for the color yuck.
I actually think it works really well with her coloring. Give it about two weeks worth of washing to get rid of that initial color shock we all get when changing hues, and I think it’ll be really pretty. Normally I think she looks pretty generic as a blonde, and lately she’s been photographing hard and older, but the red brings some youth back to her face.
It looks much prettier when she’s not being photographed against that horrid red background.
I do hate the dress though. It looks too much like she’s channeling Ariel the mermaid.
Strawberry blonde is my favorite hair color.
I like it on her, it gives warmth to the skin.
The dress itself is pretty, but I don’t like the color, it should have been a darker shade of blue to make the new hair color stand out.

I’d like to see her hair a bit shorter–it looks kind of straggly at the ends. She would have looked nice with a shoulder-length wave, a la Rita Hayworth.

Maybe she’s trying to “prove” her ability to play one fairy tale character (Glinda) by not-so-subtly reminding everyone of another (Little Mermaid). Just a thought…

She has beautiful skin coloring and pretty eyes. But that nose job and lower half of her face are just awful. Im sorry, but thats my opinion. I guess the combination evens out though, hence why her looks are ‘generic’.
However, i must say that this new hair color really brings out her positives! (skin and eyes) So, kudos to the hairstylist whos responsible for this!

Love the dress. Love it. Sophia Vergara would rock that dress. It looks good on Blake too. The hair is just a little tiny bit brassy, otherwise she looks good as a redhead.
The red hair goes with her skin tone but I think she would attract more rich men with her previous blonde. She can’t act so she needs to marry rich, like ASAP. I know I would if I was her age and had no skills to speak of in Hollywood.

Her facial features are very strong and lean towards masculine at some angles but with that said the red is okay but I think that she’d be STUNNING with a rich chocolate brown hair color to offset the tan and the blue eyes…

Evan Rachel did it better. Though Evan’s transition back to blonde is a little painful at the moment.
This color makes her look older… you can see more wrinkles on her face with this color contrast… I don’t like it. It looks too… “Strawberry Shortcake.”
