We were all excited to see Victoria and David Beckham, but now that we can see the photos… is it as exciting? Victoria is wearing a dress from her own line, with Louboutin heels (custom-made), and a Phillip Treacy hat. David is wearing Ralph Lauren, and he’s featuring his OBE, right?
While Posh did the photographer gauntlet, she didn’t even bother to smile. It’s like she’s just completely SICK over having to go to this big event while pregnant. That being said, she’s SO little. She actually looks like she’s lost weight since I last saw photos of her.
That dumb hat in the middle of her forehead isn’t helping anything either.

i saw david beckham close-up, once while my sis was organising an event between our home team and manchester united – no bells rang then, no bells rang now. he just looks… like every other blonde dude. but then again, with the exception of paul bettany and brad pitt, blondes have never been my thing.

I thought her dress would have been a bit more fitted than this but this is Vicki B and she’s pregnant. At THE wedding. She was not going to let that bump out. As for the shoes, she’s used to wearing heels. Never wears flats so I think they’re going to be fine on her. Plus she’s got David to hold on to.
David is just looking hot as hell. I want my husband to wear something like that. I want my husband to look like him. Bad wife?

I think she looks gorgeous as always. Love the simplicity of the dress, particularly since she is pregnant, as well as her hair. The hat compliments the outfit, although I think it would look better placed differently.
Why is she wearing black to a wedding? I was always told that was rather in bad taste unless obviously a “yay party” dress.. She looks funereal. (and miserable )

I think the dress is quite tasteful and elegant. had she worn anything else people would be calling her an upstager and a famewhore. The hat does seem funereal but I don’t hate it on her. The little veil takes some of the edge off – can you imagine the full-on bitchface without it? She is a good friend of the new royal couple so I know she’s probably happy for them but what pregnant woman on earth looks happy in the early morning?
She looks awful and could have smiled for at least a couple of photos! Not everything is about her. Where are the people ‘screaming’ about David’s ‘greasy’ Brad Pitt look…
Victoria is always a more fashion edgy than conservative like the royals. I think she looks gorgeous and did a great job blending her style with something timeless and not flashy (as photos of this wedding will be shown forever. Maternity perfection.

I know it wasn’t her day, but I wonder if she felt a lot of pressure today regarding her own fashion, as we were all looking forward to seeing what she would sport. I do imagine though that she probably is tired and that can contribute to her facial expression. Who in the heck wants to be “on” and looking good when you are that pregnant? Why do pregnant stars wear such ridiculousy high shoes! I fell once when I was pregnant…wearing thick, wedge type shoes…and I said “never again”! The hat is nice, though! Speaking of nice…didn’t “Pippa” look great? Pippa and Prince Harry would make a nice couple!

@Camille–How is everything about her because she didn’t smile for photos?? That doesn’t even make sense. She’s obviously not angling for attention at all. Look at her outfit. is that attention seeking? Um, no. Not to mention she is sort of hanging behind David a bit. Damned if ya do and damned if ya don’t. I bet if she smiled you would have said, “Jeez, Posh, don’t make it all about you!”
I know this makes me sound like a crochety, backwards little old lady, but I was always taught not to wear solid black, white, or red as a guest at a wedding because: (a) black looks like you’re in mourning; (b) white looks like you’re competing with the bride; and (c) red also looks like you’re competing with the bride, but in a different way. Generally I don’t hold with these sorts of strictures, but since the wedding is supposed to be about the bride and groom rather than the guests, it always seemed to me like a good time to be super-circumspect about dress codes.
I know a couple of commenters have said the dress is navy, but it sure as heck looks black. Either way, it is so funereal as to be off-putting for the occasion.

It’s so funny/cute: in that top pic and others I saw, David looks so much like a very young Ricky Gervais! Heehee….it’s kind of adorable.

It’s laughable that everyone is criticizing Victoria from the colour of her dress (definitely navy as described) to the height of her shoes. Did u not see the other guests’ outfits / hats? In comparison, they looked hideous and that includes all members of the Royal Family. Victoria was probably the best dressed woman at the wedding despite being pregnant.

The groom is wearing red, the maid of honour is wearing white, and the Queen is wearing yellow of all colours. Guess the dress code is shot to hell.
Groom and MoH are members of the wedding party, so different rules for them. Also, uniforms are what they are – it’s not like choosing your own dress as a female wedding guest.
I’m not aware of any traditional prohibitions on yellow or other bright colors other than red for female guests – not saying it makes sense, but saying that’s the tradition. I thought the queen looked fab.

I was crushed – she was the one guest I was DYING to see and I think she looks god-awful. I fully expected stilettos, but those are fug. The dress, whatever, she could have done better, but I guess she must not be someone comfortable with wearing fitted styles when pregnant. But the hat is just hideous. It just made her look like a conehead.

Does anyone here bother to look at pics of UK upper class events? Her hat is subdued compared to half the women there. Crazy hats & facinators is what they all ‘do’ – the crazier, the better. And considering Joss Stone wore a skin tight, bright red dress I’d say Victoria had the right tone to hers.
I don’t like her dress and hat, but they were okay next to her horrible hairdo. A ponytail? Pulled tight? When you’re wearing a couple of fake hair weaves and pull your hair into a tight ponytail, the lines are going to show. What a mess. She should have had it arranged into a chignon or something. But what wrecks her looks the most is that snotty look on her face. Same look she always has. I have never understood why she has “fans”.
Just watched some of the video footage, and saw another woman (not Joss Stone, some upper-class Brit) wearing a tight, bright red dress with mandatory accompanying crazy hat. I guess the British upper classes are more fashion-forward in their wedding guest etiquette than I am.

The best thing was that David Beckham tried to show his ‘posh’ credentials by wearing his OBE, but he’s originally wearing it on the right lapel. By tradition they should be on the left – clearly inside someone tells him as in the later pictures of him sitting down it’s on the other side!
Thought her dress was beautiful. After all, she is around six months pregnant. Wasn’t crazy about the shoes or how she wore the hat. But overall she looked great and so did David.
