Mariah Carey thought she’d get Brangelina-level money for her baby photos

mariah1

Considering Mariah Carey sold multiple nude or semi-nude pregnancy photos to Life & Style and OK! Magazine UK, it’s been surprising that as of yet, no tabloid has managed to get the first photos of babies Monroe and Moroccan. Mariah gave birth in on April 30 – usually, with most celebrity babies, we would have gotten the first photo before now. So what’s the problem? Well, Page Six claims that Mariah and Nick were and are prepared to sell their baby photos, but it’s all coming down to money, and how “tasteful” the photo spread is. What’s kind of funny is that Mariah honestly thought she would be fielding multi-million-dollar offers for baby photos, like Brangelina:

Mariah Carey is shopping shots of her newborn twins, Moroccan Scott and Monroe, but the pop star will have trouble getting the millions she initially wanted for them, sources say. Multiple mags including People and OK! are jockeying for the photos of the 7-week-old twin boy and girl, which will likely fetch a more modest $200,000.

But sources close to Carey and husband, “America’s Got Talent” host Nick Cannon, say the couple is more concerned with how tastefully the shots are presented than any giant price tag.

“Mariah and Nick are more concerned with doing the right thing than going to the highest bidder,” said a source close to the couple. “They’re talking to a number of publications about doing it in the best and most tasteful way. Nick has said on radio he doesn’t feel entirely comfortable selling pictures of his children. But the first picture remains very valuable to the paparazzi.”

Carey has already landed a few covers with her long wished-for pregnancy. She did a “My Baby Miracle” interview with Us Weekly in November. She then posed naked while pregnant on the cover of Life & Style in April, prompting Cannon to joke on his radio show, “My children are going to have to see these pictures . . . It’s a little weird.”

The twins were born in an LA hospital on April 30 but have not yet been seen in public.

“She is still deciding when and if she’s going to [do the pictures],” said a rep for Carey. “She is enjoying being a mom, and there’s no rush. It’s not about the money.”

Sources say Carey had hoped at first to get much more for the photos, possibly rivaling the most expensive of all time. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got a reported $14 million for Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline in 2008, although it went to charity.

But, “There’s not much movement going on right now,” said a source. “Everyone wants them, and everyone is putting in offers. But times and budgets have changed from the Brangie baby years.”

[From Page Six]

While I wouldn’t expect Mariah and Nick’s baby photos to fetch anything like Vivienne and Knox Jolie-Pitt (some say around $14 million), I would have thought that they could at least go for a cool million, right? Nick isn’t some big star, but everybody loves Mariah, and she’s a superstar. We want to see her babies! I have a question about this too, and it’s just something that bothers me personally – is this a racial thing? Do weeklies like People Magazine and Us Weekly NOT want to put Mariah and her babies on their cover because she’s mixed race, because she’s married to a black dude, and because her babies are mixed race? God knows, the tabloid covers are almost always a sea of white, and it’s depressing to think that only white babies make weekly covers – but if you look at the history of baby-oriented covers, that‘s the way it goes. It would also explain why Mairah had to go so “downmarket” with her pregnancy photo shoots – she’s a big enough star for those photos to have ended up in Us Weekly or People, but instead they went budget, to Life & Style. It’s just a thought, a theory, please don’t scream at me.

    Disgusting.

    Vain.

    Delusional.

  2. TQB says:

It is a thought, and a sad and disturbing one at that. Seriously, even Jaimee Lynn Spears got a million.

Personally I’m a fan of the folks that walk outside their houses and show a picture of the new baby to all the waiting paps, thereby removing the “first pic” frenzy. I believe that was the last sane thing Halle Berry did, no? No interest in cashing in, but also calming the frenzy.

  3. Quest says:

Just goes to show that nudity can only get you so far and only so much money. Are you hearing that Blake? Hello

  4. Ruby says:

I think the fact that neither of them are ‘albino’ probably makes it harder to market. Whitewashing- who knew that still exists. (!?!?). I am white btw and my three kids are mixed. I get stares from people who look at my hubby, me and then our kids. It’s like: that’s what ya get when you mix those races together.
One of my husbands relatives once asked me if my son was “dirty” or that was the actual colour of his skin. Luckily she is old so I passed off her comments as senile.

  5. Sue says:

Kaiser I agree with you. I also feel sad for the brange adopted kids, because although I do believe that their parents treat them the same I know the press will not. The “white” Brange children are the most important to the press and will always be. Notice how it is always about Shiloh on magazine covers. Sad but true. When exactly have we seen a best seller with the tabloids with a individuals of a different color (eg. Asian, Africian American, Hispanic, etc). With that said I also do believe that budgets have changed. People took a loss of the brange photos and I don’t think that even they could pull in that kind of money now. Also the Brange photos were all about Brad. If Angie had had a baby with Billy Bob or anyone else for that matter it never would have made that kind of money. However brad Pitt could have had a child with a waitress and that child would have made millions.

  6. Lisa Turtle says:

Regarding your race comment: Mariah is not the star she once was, and hasn’t been since at least 2001. She peaked in the 1990s. Over a decade ago.

If Jay-Z & Beyonce (the closest thing to a black version of Brangelina) have a child, I guarantee that those baby photos would sell for top dollar.

The price of baby photos is about access, and yes also about market. It may be relevant that the majority of tabloid-buyers are white, middleclass housewives. However, Jennifer Lopez is not white, she is Hispanic, and her photos sold for quite a lot. There is a growing Hispanic population in the country, while the African American population is a shrinking portion of the whole.

Overall, I do not think there are any overt racist intentions on the part of any of the tabloid editors. I’m sure its about supply & demand, its about what sells.

Why these photos didn’t sell could also be attributed to taste. These photographs are disgusting. There is nothing tasteful about them. Nick looks like he’s nursing at Mariah’s breast. I’m physically repulsed by this photo shoot. I wouldn’t buy a magazine selling these pictures. That’s probably why they aren’t selling for top dollar.

  7. Enny says:

I just think Mimi is no longer as big a star as she thinks she is. That, and it’s a far worse economy than when lesser stars (like J-L Spears) had their babies.

  8. Addie says:

I don’t blame the mags for not jumping on this.
Mariah is a star, but has become a kind of “cartoon charater”. Just look at the pregnancy pics her and Nic took. Together with the baby names given, it just seems like a bit of a joke.
It would be nice to see her twins, but on the level of seeing Alicia Keys son, not on ‘IF Jennifer Aniston has a child’ level and certainly not Bragelina baby level.

  9. brin says:

I agree,TQB, I think it’s nice when celebs don’t sell their baby pics to the tabs, it just seems like the classy thing to do.

  10. Jules says:

Maybe if Carey didn’t expose every fart in her life the photos would be of some value. Overexposed is an understatement.

  11. ladybert62 says:

I thought the pregnancy photos were in very bad taste – perhaps the mags thought so too and dont want to have to deal with baby photos in bad taste – I think she is not as popular as she thinks she is – I am not interested in seeing her baby pics.

  12. mogul says:

If I was Mariah, I would never expose my kids to the media. That’s what a real diva would do, if they won’t pay for it then don’t show it. Tease them, like Alicia Keys does.

About the race issue, it’s true if those tabloids were more open with their covers. They won’t need to invent stories or put the Kardashians on it, they would have some really good stories. For example, Alicia Keys and her homewrekings way or Master P whose paying a 1000 dollar in child support for four children.

Back to Mariah, bet her kids are cute.

  13. Sandra says:

Kaiser I agree with you on this “””white””” thing: it’s just crazy!!
But Mariah and her husband are hypocrites about doing this the right way: why don’t they just publish a photo online???? The paparazzi won’t benefit from it.
    So yes it’s about money.

  14. mel says:

Sad but it’s probably true that stars of color dont make the top mags and its really ridiculous to pay that kind of money for baby photos regardless of race. There are so many bi-racial children and interracial couples and I cant believe that people still cant get passed these issues.

  15. Quest says:

Maybe if the daddy was someone more interesting (not Nick) then maybe she would’ve gotten more coverage.

  16. momoftwo says:

As a person of (brown) color (dots, not feathers), I am sensitive to racial issues too.

But it seems this is more a matter of no one caring much about either of these two rather than than their ethnicity.

  17. fannomore says:

Hmm, I smell a reality show

  18. Marie says:

‘…everybody loves Mariah…” Speak for yourself. I don’t think everyone loves Mariah. I certainly don’t and I have no interest in pictures of her babies.

  19. Pix says:

I adore Mariah and I am dying to see the babies! She’s no worst than anyother celebrity trying to hustle their private lives for some cash.
I think race does play a part, but it’s true that Mariah is not as big as she was a few years ago. (She took time to have babies!)

  20. Jackson says:

I don’t think it has anything to do with race. She’s just not that big of a deal any longer. If this was back in the day – back in HER day, maybe – but now? No. And I don’t believe for a second that it’s about the pics being done ‘tastefully’….they can have control over that and this is Mariah….not exactly known for being tasteful. It’s about the cash. And I honestly believe that if anyone pimps their kid’s pics out for cash, that money should be donated to a charity. Otherwise it’s disgusting.

  21. courtney says:

the press is ageist because Mariah had ber twins after age 40 that’s all this is. plus the economy isn’t what it was in 2008 besides celebs have been selling their baby pictures for more than 7 decades Frank Siantra did it first in 1940 with his oldest daughter Nancy

  22. books6000 says:

    Mogul

agree!! Also, Master P pays $271 a month for 4 kids he says he only makes $1307 a month (income). Thats just BS he should have his face on everything. And.. No he isn’t broke just hiding money.

  23. Tierra says:

Im with Marie up there, I dont love her or care about her baby’s pics.
I cant stand her music or her clown hubby but thats just me.

  24. Suzy says:

I don’t think it’s racial. I think Mariah just isn’t that big a deal as she used to be. Remember when she wanted to have another wedding and wanted tons of money to cover it and thought she’d get all this stuff for free but there weren’t any takers (or at least none willing to pay as much as she wanted). I think people are tired of her, just like they are getting tired of JLo and some of the others who have already gone past their popularity peak.

  25. gamblea says:

I agree, she’s a cartoon joke. She lost me with the tacky pregnant pictures.

  26. TXCinderella says:

Those pregnancy pics are weird. I think the majority here are correct, she is not the big star she used to be. I’m not saying she isn’t talented, but people move on to the next big thing, that’s just a fact. There just isn’t longevity in that business.

  27. the original bellaluna says:

It’s about MC’s weight, not the money or how “tasteful” the shoot is…she’s too vain to present herself in a photo shoot where she looks like what she is: a 40 year old who gave birth to twins 2 months ago.

  28. not 1998 anymore says:

As “sagely” John Mayer (ha!) told Jennifer Aniston, it’s NOT 1998 anymore- she’s not that big a star now. Nick, actually, may be bigger now because of AGT (which I don’t watch, but it seems many do)- I’m not saying he’s more talented than her, but, hey, look at Seacrest & the K’s- that is what is “”big” now. I, too, think that JZ/Beyonce pics would be coveted, so they transcend that barrier of being too ethnic- which I think is a stupid barrier!

  29. Blue says:

I’m glad they aren’t getting the demand they want. Why do they have to sell their babies pictures. Just go for a walk and let the paps catch you. I don’t get it as long as
I have pics of my baby then I’m happy. The whole world doesn’t need a photo shoot of your kids

  30. Jackson says:

@Sue – don’t you think it’s possible there is more interest in the Brangelina ‘white’ children (if, in fact, there is) not because of the color of their skin but because they are the genetic smash-up of Brad and Angelina? For me, I really don’t care about seeing pics of anyone’s kids, but when it is two famous, attractive people I find it interesting to see how their genes combined, who the kid looks like, which features resemble which parent, etc. It’s not about ‘white’ or race or whatever else.

  31. mariangela says:

I don’t think it’s a race issue. Mariah has seen better years and she is no longer the star she used to be. I’m not surprised she didn’t get that much considering she already did a pre baby photo shoot with Life and Style.

I get the race issue but I don’t think it’s applicable here. To me Mariah is a has been star and self absorbed to think she’d get a price close to Brangelina.

And I think Shiloh is featured a lot because she is the first of the Brangelina biological children and first biological child of the two of the biggest stars. Just like Suri is the most bombarded child of the Tom Cruise blan.

200 000 may be low but after parading her pregnant body all over the place I reckon people are sick of Mariah and babies.

  32. Luci says:

tell me Nick Cannon’s “Maria” tattoo is a fake please! 😛
(I am a huge mariah carey fan btw)
    I wanna see the babies!!!

  33. Mia says:

I don’t think it’s a racial thing. I think it’s an interest thing. I honestly forgot she had those babies. I mean…I literally had forgotten all about Mariah and her awkwardly named children. She’s just not on too many people’s radars.

They could release photos on their websites or twitter and be done with it. It’s not as if they really need the money.

  34. TeeTee says:

Mariah doesn’t need the money hunny!

    Trust.

  35. serena says:

Hope it’s not as you says.

  36. dorothy says:

Don’t understand celebrities that pimp out their kids photos. Seems so sleazy and wrong. Looks like they would like to protect their children. Maybe DHR had it right the first time.

  37. kibbles says:

This is a rotten economy with magazines not selling like they did even a few years ago. Second, Mariah is not as huge as she was in the 90s and I agree that she already overexposes herself to the point where she devalues her own worth to the tabloids. In addition, she and Nick are not a power couple like Brangelina or Jay-Z and Beyonce. Beyonce having twins would be huge. Beyonce and Jay-Z would probably get at least one million. If Mariah Carey had married an A-list actor like Will Smith or Denzel Washington, I am almost certain those photos would fetch more money. And I also agree that the nude photos are tasteless. I like Mariah’s music but her style is simply tacky.

  38. bluhare says:

I’m glad she got her babies and they are healthy. Anything else is gravy, and I bet she feels the same way. I read somewhere (and happy to be corrected if I’m wrong) that they have hired no nannies and they’re doing all the baby work themselves. I think that’s great if it’s true, and can understand it as she’s someone who’s obviously tried really hard to get pregnant. Surprised the hell out of me, but she gets props from me if it’s true.

I guess my point is that someone who could hire a nanny for every day of the week, and doesn’t, might have other priorities than money here.

I can’t believe I just defended Mariah Carey. Wake me up, people!

  39. Enny says:

I think that Halle Berry, HAD SHE CHOSEN TO, could have gotten Nahla on the cover of any tab she wanted – she just chose not to. She is also mixed-race, like Mariah. It’s a bit…simplistic…to chalk this all up to race, when you have an aging, semi-delusional, past-her-prime pop star who people don’t really care about, who also just so happens to be mixed-race. If they know that pictures of her and her babies on the cover won’t be enough to increase copies sold, can we honestly, with a straight face, call them racist? Uh…no.

  40. You don't say says:

Brad and Angelina did not do tacky pregnancy photos before hand. This couple had tabloids paying for rooms in Angelina’s hospital and drilling holes in the ceilings to get photos. They had papararzzi dressed in camo gear with branches in their hair trespassing on their estate in France trying to get photos. I don’t think this is the case with most celebs. People Mag also paid for the first photos of Pax, not as much as the bio babies, but more than most other celebrities. It has nothing whatsoever to do with race, but stature.

But I think the time of millions for baby photos is well past and if Brad and Angelina had another, they would not get as much as before either.

  41. Janie says:

I think Mariah blew it with the overexposed pregnancy belly pictures. They actually made me very uncomfortable to see and looked very distasteful.
I wonder if that was a poor selling issue for the magazine.
However I do agree with the person who said this isn’t a race issue as I would think Jay Z and Beyonce would command a big price for any baby pictures they would have (although I guess that depends how popular they are when they have a child.)
Mariah is old news. I haven’t bought or listened to any of her recent albums in years, yet loved her older music at the time. She is old ripe fruit now. Not fresh.

  42. 4Real says:

But Jlo and her twins aren’t white didn’t they make People and US covers?

  43. Lia says:

I think you raise a valid question Kaiser and I also agree Lisa Turle and “Not1998” have a point…I also want to point out that Jennifer Lopez is an American of Puerto Rican descent and Puerto Ricans (“Rich Portians”)are mainly of mixed race too (I am Puerto Rican…richportian…myself,) and she did pretty well when she got photos of her twins.

But it is definitely a different market now and budgets are smaller. I don’t even know if Brad and Angie would get as much for any subsquent bio children were they to have any more, it would attract attention but maybe not as much money.

So everyone is making good points including that Mariah’s not “as big” as she was in the 90s still a star but not the same and her husband is as accomplished or famous either as well as her vanity and tackiness.

  44. rundee says:

    I agree with everyone here:
She´s past her time and he´s just not that famous.
But there´s another thing why I think babypics of Brangelina sold and Beyoncés&Jay-Z´s probably won´t sell as much, that hasn´t been raised yet:
    Beauty.
Angelina is considered the most beautiful woman of our time and so is Brad as a man.
Mariah is cute, but you can see she´s gotta do a lot to stay cute. Nick´s sweet, but in a puppy-way.
Beyoncé´s beautiful, but still not as much or iconic as Angelina.
And Jay-Z… well I love his music, let me leave it at that.

  45. mln76 says:

Well the Brange played the twins pregnancy perfectly dribbling out information until the whole media was enraptured from the pregnancy unveiling right before the Oscars to Jack Black spilling the beans on the twins secret. And LOL I bet you if they did have another baby they would find a way to get the media wound up again they are masters at it…On the other hand Mariah did the tackiest thing possible with that Life and Style cover that turned off everyone and brought down the price. I do think that tabs are racist in general but I bet she could have gotten at least what Jlo got for pics of her twins if she hadn’t done that L &S which was the tackiest thing I’ve ever seen especially the byline on OK which included the whole thing about the babies pressing on her bladder.

  46. Isa says:

Maybe it is a race issue, but I don’t look at them and see the color of their skin. Besides, mixed race babies are the cuteness! I should know, I was one! 🙂

They shared so many details I was kind of glad they retreated to enjoy their babies. And honestly, who buys magazines anymore? Unless you’re extremly bored at an airport or got suckered into have a subscription. You can get online a few days later and see all the pictures for free.

  47. Sakyiwaa says:

I agree with rundee, You don’t say and Sue, especially the part about Brad Pitt. People mag loves the guy. they would’ve paid anything to see his babies even if they hadn’t been with Angelina. Also, the demand was fever pitch as You don’t say said. Also, i think people were really interested in the mash-up of their genes…

race? i dont think so. Mariah doesn’t even look black. Nick and Mariah have twitter pages. they can tweet the pics.

  48. jc126 says:

I think it’s that she’s just not as big a star and in the public eye as much as she once was. And Nick isn’t a really big star, whereas with Brad and Angelina, they’re both huge stars.
    Those tacky photos didn’t help.
Personally, I think we should rescue Nick from Mariah’s overbearing clutches. I always get the feeling that she runs him ragged.

  49. Cali says:

Is it sad that I didn’t even realize that we hadn’t seen photos of them yet? I think I’m just so over mariah and her self-absorbed, materialistic, and snobbish ways.

  50. Whatever says:

And honestly, who buys magazines anymore? Unless you’re extremly bored at an airport or got suckered into have a subscription. You can get online a few days later and see all the pictures for free.

    *******************
I’d bet this is the real reason for the decrease in sales of the mags. I don’t get the whole paying millions to see ANY celebrity baby. Who cares?

  51. L says:

But #50…looking at a screen for hours is bad for your eyes…I read more magazines for thorough reading and I don’t need my glasses for it. I read Celebitchy but mags are better for your eyes!

  52. Lem says:

Bless his heart, is that back tattoo real?

  53. Melinda says:

I agree with everyone that said the Life and Style pictures + headline about the bladder (blech!) were just so gross that no one really wants to touch this now. That magazine was so off-putting and tacky. I also agree that the facination with getting the first pics of Brangelina’s kids had a lot to do with the fact that people were really curious to see what they had created.

  54. HotLatino says:

Mariah is black, yes mixed but black so I don’t consider her marriage with Nick mixed race. I love her, can’t wait for her new album

  55. mln76 says:

Magazine sales are down however big events like Sandra Bullock shocking cover with Louis when no one knew she even had a baby & Elin N’s People cover after months of silence still sell. Those are the kinds of stories people are going to stop and read. Mariah and Nic just don’t have that kind of appeal.

  56. original kate says:

in that one photo nick looks like he’s trying to suck the babies out of mariah’s stomach. LMAO.

  57. ctkat1 says:

Hmm…I think it is a combination of everything that’s been said already:

Brangelina is a special case. People were pretty interested in seeing Suri Cruise (especially since they waited until she was 5 months old) but it was nothing compared to the Brange babies.

Brad and Angie are now and have been for the entirety of their relationship the most famous celebrities in the world. They’re also considered to be two of the most beautiful people in the world. Their relationship started in a big scandal, and people are fascinated as to how it actually works. And finally, Brangelina are master-level media manipulators. I like them a lot, but their media strategy is pretty flawless.

Mariah isn’t Brangelina. Now if Beyonce and Jay-Z weren’t able to crack a million for their baby photo, I’d cry racial discrimination- because Beyonce and Jay-Z are huge celebrities, very current, and there’s interest in their relationship.

  58. Alex says:

I’m impressed you thought about, and spoke on the racial issue so poignantly. Your right it is a sea of white baby’s and the media is white woman focused, and Mariah has been catering to the more urban market for a while

  59. Lila says:

I don’t understand all this crap about Mariah not being as big as she was. Her album sales are still phenomenal and she is still the biggest selling female recording artist of all time. That includes this current century, btw.

I have to agree with Kaiser. I can’t think of any brown skinned baby snagging the cover of People. I don’t buy into this economy nonsense or star value either. Kim K got paid handsomely for her wedding photos. Sandra’s baby cover was released right in the middle of that sh/tstorm of an impending divorce. I think people were more interested in the story of her and Jesse and that’s why People ran the story.
What the Brange did bugs me. They could have very easily insisted People do a cover shot with their entire family and feature the babies inside. I doubt that People would have said no with their kind of leverage.

  60. Maritza says:

Magazines aren’t selling like they used to and the economy sucks so I guess that’s why the price for celebrity babies went down.

  61. Louise says:

I don’t know if it’s about race but I think the tacky factor made a huge impact. There were too many nude photos. A couple of photos could have been cute but between L&S and twitter it was overkill. That being said I’m surpised that they couldn’t get a million. Even Nicole Richie got $1 million for her baby and wedding pictures and that was within the last year or so. Jamie Lynn Spears got a lot of money because at the time she was a teen on a hit teen show and was the sister of a big celebrity.

@mln76: I don’t see how doing nothing is manipulative. The tabloids were saying everything from boys, triplets, adoption, etc. And by the time awards season came it was obvious that she was pregnant. It’s also laughable to say they concocted the whole Jack Black thing.

  62. Zara says:

All is know is when People made their editorial decision to only feature the biologically related Jolie-Pitt family members on the cover with the twins, I exercised my financial right and chose not to buy that issue. I went with Hello instead where only the parents and twins were on the cover. People mag has a history of marginalizing the adopted Jolie Pitt kids; they will cut them out of pictures or only show the bio ones when the all the kids are present. I vote with my pocketbook.

  63. Mashmash says:

I agree with many points raised and wanted to add on.

    Regarding racial issues;
In total honesty, had I not seen the ONE interview that I did, I would NEVER have known Mariah was mixed. I had no clue, to the point of being stunned. That said, havent other mixed kids gotten a million or more? JLo comes to mind [PR is mixed] but also Jessica Alba [Whose kids are similarly mixed as Mariah’s] got something in the million range right?

I agree with many here who claim that 1. its all about how famous the couple is [or how scandalous the story is] and 2. the pregnacy pics drove the price down.

While Mariah is still globally famous its not what it once was and Nick Cannon is just not famous enough for such pricey pics.

  64. Sue says:

Hidie Klum and Seal got million or something close to it for each of their kids. Mariah and Nick shared every aspect of their pregnancy with the media along with all 3 of their weddings and tapped that well one too many times.

Kaiser@ I don’t love Mariah, I like her music but I think she and Nick are attention whores.

  65. Mouse says:

Pimping out your babies’ photos is trashy and tasteless, period. But I guess you have to do what you have to do to stay relevant and make a buck.

That photoshoot was beyond tacky. Instead of an expecting parent, Nick looks like her sperm slave. It’s all got to be about self centered dramatic Mariah. Baaaaarf!

  66. luls says:

I beg to differ. She could have easily gotten at least 1 million BUT she ruined that because:

    a) She overshared too many details about her pregnancy experience already.

    b) The last photoshoot was even MORE over-exposure and SUPER TACKY to boot.

    c) We all tried to block that horrendous photoshoot from our memories and have thus already forgotten that Mariah recently gave birth 😛

the verdict: she dug her own grave.

(If she kept the whole affair on the DOWN LOW, like during the 1st 3 months of her pregnancy when she wouldnt even ADMIT that she was with child…. people would have been clamoring to c her babies)

whooosha…. she looked terrible in that leader pic.

    No thank you!

I think one of the reasons the Brange got 14Mil was because it was going to charity. People could look even better because they were helping a charity. I doubt they would have been as happy to sink that dough in someone’s greedy pocket.

I admire the way the Brange handles the kid picture issue. They know there will be unavoidable insanity about it so they work it so a good cause profits.

WHO CARES ABOUT HER OR HER KIDS ANYWAY….REALLY WHO?

  70. sally says:

Oh, yes, it MUST be racism. Every white actress and singer gets million dollar baby pics…er… It must be because they don’t have lips like Angelina! Yes, it’s lip-ism!!
Give me a break. What a pathetic attempt to drum up controversy.

  71. Marianne says:

I don’t think its racism or ageism. I agree that she isn’t that big of star. If this was the 90s or even when her “Emancipation of Mimi” cd came out….yeah I could see people paying top dollar. No one really cares about her. I would think thats evident since she had to do pregnancy pictures in Life & Style to begin with.

What a fun adventure! Great pics as always!

  73. Hello my family member! I wish to say that this post is awesome, great written and come with approximately all vital infos. I?d like to see more posts like this .

  74. I think that what you published made a bunch of sense. However, consider this, what if you composed a catchier title? I am not suggesting your content isn’t solid., but what if you added a title to possibly get people’s attention? I mean %BLOGTITLE% is a little plain. You should peek at Yahoo’s home page and see how they create post headlines to get viewers interested. You might add a video or a pic or two to grab people excited about what you’ve got to say. Just my opinion, it could make your blog a little bit more interesting.
