Adorable and entertaining live action animated insect films

Episode One: The ladybug and the spider

Minuscule is a series of five minute short films first created by two French filmmakers, Thomas Szabo and Helene Giraud, in 2006. Each short features a mix of live action with animated bugs in compelling little stories. They transport you to another world that magically seems like it coexists with our own. My son and I love watching these animated shorts, which are entertaining for the whole family. You may have seen some on the Disney channel, and they usually air at night. If you’ve already seen these, there may be more since the last time you watched.

You can watch more on Minuscule’s website, Metacafe, and YouTube.

Worms in Love

Picnic

Grasshopper Catapult

Chewing Gum

Insect Race
