What is with Katie Holmes and her ongoing trend of wearing stellar jeans? Aren’t these jeans awesome? I want a pair very badly. Apparently, they’re “Paige Denim High Rise Bell Canyon jeans in Breckinridge.” Breckinridge is a color now…? Sure. I’m not even going to look up how much these jeans cost, though. I know it will just depress me. Let me live in these dream state for a little while longer where I can imagine that I too can find a great pair of jeans that will fit me this well.
Meanwhile, Katie and her new “style” has taken the cover of Life & Style this week. And when I say “style” I mean “eating disorder”. At least according to L&S – the tabloid claims that Katie is such a powerless victim in her life, that she’s taking control of the one thing that Xenu doesn’t have an absolute say in: what food she consumed. Yes, Katie has apparently lost weight because she simply wanted to make ONE decision for herself, or as a source tells L&S, “Tom may have taken over every aspect of her life, but only she has control over her body.” The insider even claims that Tom treats Katie “like his Eliza Doolittle” and that Katie is on a “near hunger-strike”. Meaning she drinks Diet Coke all day and works out a lot.
And now that she’s spending a lot of time in Miami, in a bikini, people are starting to notice her penis belly button weight loss. A witness to Katie’s slimness noted, “It was jarring how painfully thin she looked.” No worries, though, because now that everyone is talking about how unhealthy she looks (seriously, she doesn’t look unhealthy at all), Katie will probably put some weight back on because Suri will order it. A source says, “Suri is the only bright light in Katie’s long lonely days.” Sure. Makes sense (not really). By the way, Katie’s rep denied the story to Gossip Cop.

If I bought those jeans I’d take em back and get a refund. They are poorly made. Look at in the 1st picture at how the inseam is wrapping around to the front of her leg at the knee…I HATE when that happens.

She has an odd body. no matter how much weight she loses her legs will always look chunky and her lower stomach will always look bloated. This can really trigger a bulimic person. I think it would be best if she stopped obsessing over her body and instead studied acting.

I think those jeans are terrible! They are tight and binding at the thighs. Katie is a tall, slim girl. So why are those jeans fitting her like she needs to lose a few pounds? (She doesn’t, I think she looks great.)

Kaiser, Paige Denim is great. It has a nice slim fit. They are expensive-ish but worth it if you’re a denim fan.
Here’s my theory on Katie – depression. She’s back and forth with the fitness and looking put together. It’s like she frequently feels defeated but then finds the energy from somewhere to push through and give living a good life one more go. Between Tom and that church, it’ a small wonder that she can get out of bed.

Don’t fret! I’ve bought three pairs of Paige denims at the Bloomingdale’s outlet store. I paid at least 50% less (and in one case 75% less!). And yes, that includes the pair she is wearing, just in a slightly lighter hue.

Um…no. Those jeans do not look good on her at all. They are clearly puckering at the thighs. I’d say they are one size too small, however the problem with Paige jeans is that unless you have super narrow stovepipe thighs and hips and are super tall, you have to go up one size, and then the butt and waist is too big. Shame because they have some great fabrics and colors. I’m a petite girl but even I look like a chunk in them. Same thing with Joe’s. Consequently, I’m still on the hunt for a new “go-to” brand.

That picture on the cover of the magazine labeled “Skin and Bones”, looks like the camera caught her while she was sucking in her stomach.
I think she looks great walking around town in those jeans and her white shirt. She doesn’t appear gaunt, or bobble-headed. I just don’t like that if someone loses 5-10 pounds then…ZOMG! EATING DISORDER! Like no, that is not necessarily the case. And I feel the same way about someone gaining 5-10 pounds. I mean that doesn’t make somebody “fat”. I seriously remember in one of these trashy Enquirer magazines my mom had bought, where they had praised Katherine Heigl’s beach body for being curvy, but then on the next page, chastised Reese Witherspoon for her curvy body. I was like WTF? How can that be both good and bad?

I like the cut, but she needs to go up a size. The way these jeans pucker and twist make her thighs look large and she’s clearly not a large girl. Maybe once they’ve stretched out they’ll look good. Nice cut though.

Try the “long and lean” from Gap. They are slight flare at the bottom like these and mid rise but super, super comfy and they come in petites, too!
I would recommend sizing down 1 size though because gap stuff runs a little big.

Paige is fabulous! I have almost 20 pair. Breckinridge is the wash. I am going to let you all in on an amazing secret. I’m a serious jeans and shoes addict, like well over 100 pair of each. Drives my husband crazy that I drag half of it all over the world with us on our Cirque tour.
Anyway, there is a site/forum online that denim addicts are on. There is a mall where you can buy all authenticated jeans for really cheap, many times with the tags, AND they go through all of ebay, auth all the auctions and post them. I’ve gotten new Paige, TR, 7s, you name it for as little as 10 bucks. It’s the greatest thing ever and the prices beat the outlets where you are getting seconds or pairs that are not the same quality. It’s at authenticforum.com.

@star. Paige has a cut called Benedict canyon, that is cut bigger in the thighs and smaller in the waist. You have to try all the different styles.
Try AG, they seem to fit really well on the hourglasses. I have a tiny waist, so I have the same issue. Also, you could try William Rast. Good luck!

Her lowest weight? She has been much thinner. She actually looks kind of thick in the legs/muscular – not fat but certainly not skinny. She has a total boy/gymnast body type.

The top doesn’t cling at all and the jeans fit snugly..so it’s really impossible to say how much weight she’s lost. That said, I do think she looks a bit skinnier in the cheeks and arms.
