Fake psychic medium Allison Dubois weighs in on Russell Armstrong’s suicide

Remember that crazy psychic that got drunk in the “Dinner Party from Hell” episode on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and ended up fighting with everyone who wasn’t kissing Camille’s ass? Allison Dubois was a close friend of hostess Camille Grammer, and is the “psychic” whom the TV show Medium was based on, only her credentials are either sketchy or nonexistent and she’s a total piece of work. Some of her quotes from that evening include “I can tell you when she will die and what will happen to her family. I love that about me,” and “If any of their children disappeared, they wouldn’t be like ‘You were wrong,’ they’d be like ‘Can you help?‘ F*ck them.

Anyway, since Allison is someone who makes a profit out of spurious claims to contact the spirit world, she was asked by Entertainment Tonight to comment on Russell’s suicide. She of course said she sensed the desperation in him, and gave a bunch of quotes presuming to know what was going on with his family, but at least she didn’t claim to have a message from him from beyond the grave. The way ET phrases it sounds like she’s claiming to have had contact with him, but in the video it just sounds like she’s speaking of suicide victims in general and doesn’t say she heard from Russell’s spirit.

Although Allison DuBois had only met the women of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills once (apart from close friend Camille Grammer) during what would soon after be dubbed “the dinner party from hell,” the now infamous psychic tells Entertainment Tonight her brief encounter lent DuBois great insight into what may have led to Russell Armstrong’s recent suicide.

Speaking to ET from her home in Arizona via Skype, Allison recounts the night she met the Real Housewives cast, explaining the influence of reality television cameras as a definite factor which would later derail the Armstrong family into an unavoidable tragedy.

“It had to be difficult that all his problems were being made so public,” DuBois says. “It was inevitable that someone was going to almost get, you know, pushed over a line.”

Although admitting she hadn’t yet talked to Taylor since her estranged husband’s death, Allison claims her psychic sense can feel Russell’s spirit communicating to her that he decided to take his life out of “desperation.”

“He was really down on himself and it culminated in his death,” DuBois says. She goes on to explain that his recently departed spirit was telling her that Russell wanted Taylor to meet somebody “more deserving” as a husband and as a father to their daughter Kennedy.

[From ET Online]

I haven’t mentioned all the other comments on this poor guy’s suicide, but this one cried out for coverage because it’s ridiculous. Given who we’re dealing with it could have been much worse though. I don’t know why I’m surprised when coverage continues as usual when someone dies, but you would think some of these outlets would bring it down a notch out of respect or whatever. Obviously they aren’t doing that and here we have a psychic who was drunk and belligerent on one episode giving her comments on the suicide of a guy who was married to one of the stars. Did she even ever meet him? At least she didn’t claim to have seen it coming.

    She’s all class.

  2. Skinnybetch says:

I don’t think she’s a fake. She was the inspiration for the show medium. Those real housewives shows are all fake scripted drama and I highly doubt she’s like that in real life.

  3. Rose says:

She’s completely fake. There is no such thing as a medium, they are people who don’t mind lying.

  4. Jackson says:

Wow. Such insightful, ‘psychic’ comments….I could have said the same things. What a piece of work this woman is but she is merely the symptom. The problem is like you said CB, why do these shows/media outlets cover stories to this degree? It makes me sick, no matter who it’s about. I see the same thing with local news. A ‘big’ story get a splashy graphic and it’s own theme music. Can they not just cover this man’s death to the degree to which it deserves? Report it and move the eff on. Not every story warrants interviews with random idiots.

  5. Jayna says:

No. The truth came out about her on the show. She’s a mean lush and a joke.

  6. Lupe says:

`Medium` is also a television show, Skinnybetch. How much of that do you think is real, hard fact?

There is no evidence to support the claim that DuBois, or any psychic, truly possesses any kind of supernatural power. Even those who purport to have helped criminal investigations have been completely unhelpful at best, detrimental to cases at worst.

  7. Quest says:

I see “stupid fake psychic people”…lmao

  8. Sara says:

Too bad she couldn’t predict that Kelsey was cheating on Camille and planning on divorcing her in order to remarry his mistress! Oops! Big fat fail!

  9. Jezi says:

If she’s such a psychic, how did she not foresee this suicide? I mean wasn’t she reading all the ladies at the dinner party? She couldn’t pick up this? She just wants more time in the spotlight. They need to allow the family some privacy and I agree with the poster who said they should stop interviewing random people.

  10. WillyNilly says:

Is she slurring in the video???

  11. Pyewacket says:

I am no fan of this woman’s but to see the lack of belief here that there are things out there that are mystical and not able to be explained by science is astonishing. As if everything in life must be black or white.

  12. bosoxgirl says:

“Although admitting she hadn’t yet talked to Taylor since her estranged husband’s death, Allison claims her psychic sense can feel Russell’s spirit communicating to her that he decided to take his life out of “desperation.””

Ugh. Really? Her “psychic” sense tells her that a man who committed suicide felt desperate? Wow. She’s really going out on a limb there. As opposed to all the suicides who feel happy-go-lucky? She’s the worst.

  13. Rose says:

@Pyewacket: Strawman, no one here said life had to be black and white. But anyone who claims to be able to talk to the dead ought to be able to provide clear evidence that they can. Extraordinary claims need evidence to be taken seriously.

  14. 4Real says:

Oh again with THIS fake bitch! Somebody please throw a drink on this horrible person then ask if she saw it coming?

    • linda says:

lol that’s the funniest thing I’ve read in a while. Thanks so much for the laugh 🙂

  15. Jane says:

The culprit here is Entertainment Tonight. What whacko at ET decided it was important to ask the “medium” whacko about the suicide of someone she never met? I guess whackos gravitate toward each other.

  16. Erandyn says:

Don’t know why the title bothers to spell out “Fake psychic”… I mean, it already says “psychic” – fake is implied.

  17. Ethel says:

Damn, her voice is still irritating. Bring back SCRIPTED TV!

  18. mln76 says:

Ok shame on ET and the rest for picking at this story like vultures.
Oh and as for ‘psychic’ powers. Many people have had supernatural experiences. I truly believe that only crooks try to profit off of their intuition.

  19. Susan O. says:

There are such things as “mediums” and they are best ignored!

  20. azurea says:

    There are skilled, talented, above-board
mediums & channels, and there are bad ones, just as in any profession. Actually,
science & spirituality are coming together in a big way. See the work done by Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton, and Gary E. Schwartz, to name a few.

  21. NYCgal says:

Dubois is definitely not fake – she’s a highly credible medium that the police have used to solve cases with for years. That’s how the show Medium came about. Also, she was tested under strict conditions at the University of Arizona, and found to be credible by Dr. Gary Schwartz, and he wrote a book about his findings.

But her behavior on Housewives was atrocious – neurotic and immature, yes. Fake, no.

  22. sassy says:

Gotta say it: I love this Alison Dubois! She is awesomely evil! I say we do a reality show about her and what we do is get her super drunk, give her an e-cigarette, and shove her out unto the street to give evil psychic predictions! (Alison Dubois slurring at homeless dude: “You will die in a garbage truck! No one will care!!” Then takes a swig on her e-cigarette.) I would SO tune in!!

  23. NYCgal says:

    @Sassy ROFLMAO!

  24. Kim says:

If she is psychic then she would have known he was going to commit suicide and should have intervened.

She is such a lying, fake, piece of work!

My dog is more psychic than she is!

NCY Girl – She is as fake as they come. Name one case where she was the result of solving it? NONE! She is NOT credible NOR was the guy who tested her. Look him up – he has a history of being a total whack job like her.

  25. Anon says:

    She will burn in hell.

  26. Karmagirl says:

I find this psychic’s demeanor very bizarre. She’s asked about a terrible tragedy (a suicide) yet she talks in a very breezy, light fashion as if everything is hunky dory. You would think she would exhibit a little compassion about the turn of events.
Most psychics are fake (not all) – did anyone see the psychic special on prime time? They profiled fake psychics and a magician, Banachek, debunked them.

  27. Twez says:

She should have used her psychic power to know that shade of hair color would look like ass on her.

  28. Chris says:

Fake psychic? Isn’t that an oxymoron?

I suspect she’s an idiot savant without the savant bit.

  29. misspdx says:

I am with you NYC! I read the book Stiff by Mary Roach and she has a great section on the work being done in Arizona. She is part of a 4 person team of psychics that are part of many studies at that school. The entire project would be out the window if they had a “fake” as part of their team and a lot of credible doctors would look really stupid.

BTW ..wow anon..burn in hell? bible thump much?

And yes Sassy! I am so down with that show! Sign me up

  30. misspdx says:

Ohhh… I should have said Allison is part of the four person team. Not Mary Roach. I hate it when I get stoned and type!

  31. Katyusha says:

    @Chris

It’s not an oxymoron, it’s redundant.

  32. jimmy says:

Alison Dubois towers above all of you shnivelling little worms that spill crap about her. she is a spiritual warrior shining light on the inspidness of the vile sleep that you cling so hard to. celebbitches should be more respectful to their obvious senior, particularly the snivelling wormlike kiwi tart that wrote this! wake the f up!

  33. Peg says:

I just heard from Russell’s spirit. He says that Allison is a fake.

  34. PianoPlyr says:

Ugh. She is such a fake and that smile when talking about someone who has committed suicide. Getting rid of the skunk stripe is an improvement, though!

  35. m72772 says:

There isnt one law enforcement agency that will corroborate any of her claims that she helped them solve any cases. There is a whole website dedicated to exposing the truth about this woman and everything they’ve said about her is easy to prove or disprove. I wish people would quit mentioning that she’s from Arizona…its humiliating to be associated with her no matter how impersonal

  36. devgirl says:

The devil knows as much as god and deceives people by telling them a few truths to lure them in .it happened to me i tried all avenues looking for answears it wasent untill someone said try talking to god that things changed so i gave it a go i had nothing to lose and thats what i say to anyone give it a go you will be suprised .
