E!’s Giuliana Rancic was interviewed on the Ryan Seacrest radio show, and her employer (Ryan) asked her about the sh*tstorm over her comments that LeAnn Rimes should eat something. Rancic explained the context for that statement, which of course LeAnn got all defensive about on Twitter back when she first made it, and said that things are cool between them now. She also clarified that “I didn’t say she’s ugly skinny or that she needs to gain weight,” which kind of made it worse, in my opinion. She could have explained that “I think she’s beautiful the way she is now,” which of course isn’t true, so she sounds like she’s admitting she didn’t say what she really wanted to say, which is that LeAnn looks like a stick insect. Look at the pencil calling the pen too skinny.
Giuliana Rancic told On Air with Ryan Seacrest Monday her food feud with LeAnn Rimes was “blown out of proportion.”
It all began on August 30, when Rancic told The Huffington Post she thinks the How Do I Live singer “lost a lot of weight from all the stress in her life” and “seems a little thin right now and… looks great when she’s a bit curvier.”
Rancic, who’s slated to open an Italian restaurant in Chicago with her husband Bill, said she was asked by The Huff Post, “What celebrity would you like to feed who you think is really skinny right now?”
Rancic said, “The first person that came to mind — cause that bikini shot of her had just came out — was LeAnn Rimes. I know she’s lost a lot of weight, but I like her when she’s curvier. I interviewed her when her Shape magazine cover just came out, and I thought she looked amazing, and that’s all I said — it was pretty harmless.
“I didn’t say she’s ugly skinny or that she needs to gain weight,” Rancic said in defense of her comments. “What’s wrong with saying a girl is pretty [when she’s] curvy?”
Shortly after Rancic made the comment, Rimes shot back with a tweet, writing: “@GiulianaRancic hey, we should go to dinner sometime. You get criticized all the time for how small you are. You can see just HOW much I eat and maybe put a stop to this crazy “shrinking” once and for all.
Rancic, in response, told Ryan Seacrest, “You know how Twitter is — you can’t tell the tone” of what’s being said, and how it’s intended.
“If someone said to me, I like you curvier, I wouldn’t take that as an insult.”
Rancic said she and Rimes have communicated since the blow-up and seem to be on the right path.
“We’ve texted… she’s really cool… we don’t want enemies,” Rancic said. “We’re gonna get together, have a drink, cause I think this whole thing was kinda blown out of proportion.”

Of course it got blown out of proportion. LeAnn tweeted about it incessantly and made a big deal out of it. She’ll get people to talk about her however she can.
LeAnn released the new video for her single, Give, which has an uplifting message about being a good person or something. I like that she featured real homeless and struggling people in this video, but there’s something sanctimonious about this.
Here’s LeAnn out in New York yesterday in an ugly draped brown dress. She’s wearing some fug light brown suede booties. They’re not as bad as the ones Katie Holmes was just spotted out in, but they’re still ugly. Giuliana is shown in Vegas on 9/8/11.

Also, this is kind of off topic but I have to say: This Giuliana DiPandi seems to be so full of herself yet not even her job (reporting on celebrities) she does right. I will never forget that she read Brad Renfro’s name “ReDfro” while reporting on his death. She did so because someone typed his name like that — she was reading the autocue/teleprompter.
Yes, she was reading something that was typed wrongly but couldn’t she see that and fix it herself (in her mind) before opening her mouth and saying his name? Bitch, knowing about celebrities is your f*cking job!

The only one who blew the “skinny” comment out of proportion was Rimes. Anyone who braggingly tweets about actually eating something is going to blow everything out of proportion.
As to LeAnn’s dress, that brown-open tatta-wrapper is what she learned was fashionable from spending the week at NY Fashion Week. It does seem to go with her video though, seeing that she probably was “given” that discarded piece of sack cloth by a homeless person.
But shouldn’t we all feel better about LeAnn using homeless kids to make a buck? She never donates or does anything charitable unless she’s gets hers first. “Tis better to receive more than one gives”, is her motto.
As with most of her songs, this one is just pretentious, tedious, and manufactured.

In what world are either of these women attractive? Leanne’s husband has been suspiciously quiet though all of this. No public support there. So now Leann is trying to convince people that she is popular and VERY IMPORTANT by having several of her mouthpieces write article after article about how she sat in the front row at fashion week.
Many of the media outlets who were very good at calling LR and EC out on their nonsense have often backtracked after LR threw a major twitter tantrum.
When her first two singles didn’t do well, she coupled her third single with Charity because people would be more likely to listen to her song and support her if it’s for charity. It’s sad that she exploited those kids and charity for her own personal gain.
She made an appearance on AGT and now GIVE is ranked at 78 on ITUNES and it fell off the Billboard Charts (but I’m sure she is going to work her magic so that it’s back on the charts just in time for EC show and her album release). See, another indication that her mega media blitzes are not a good idea.
It’s a shame that it took LR going on AGT to her her “fans” to download her music.
