These are new photos of Jennifer Connelly looking gorgeous at a NYC event for Save the Children. It’s Jennifer’s first red carpet appearance since giving birth to daughter Agnes, fathered by Jennifer’s hot husband, Paul Bettany. Paul was not with Jennifer last night, unfortunately! I know, I would like to see some new photos of Paul too – I put the latest candid shots of Paul and Jennifer’s two sons, Kai and Stellan, at the bottom of the post.
Anyway, Jennifer and how beautiful she is. I love the way she looks right now – she still has some post-baby weight, her face is filled out slightly and she just looks so healthy and gorgeous. At the event, Jennifer talked about her home birth and her midwife:
Beautiful mind AND body! Stepping out at Tuesday’s “Every Woman, Every Child” for Save the Children benefit at NYC’s Grand Hyatt Hotel, Jennifer Connelly walked her first red carpet since giving birth to daughter Agnes Lark Bettany May 31.
The stunning Oscar-winning actress, 40, wasn’t shy to reveal a bit of her post-baby weight loss in a black sheer top (with a black bra underneath) tucked into flattering, pleated black pants.
Connelly told Us Weekly she felt compelled to step out for the benefit, which supports a cause near and dear to her heart. “I gave birth to my daughter Agnes three and a half months ago, like many women, I gave birth to her at home,” the Dilemma star told Us.
(Agnes was born via schedule home water birth at the NYC apartment she shares with husband Paul Bettany.)
“But unlike many women around the world, my birth was attended by a skilled midwife,” she continued. “I’m very excited to be here to support Save the Children and to support mothers around the world that don’t have access to health care.”
Agnes joins big brothers Kai, 13 (his dad is Connelly’s photographer ex David Dugan) and 7-year-old Stellan, Connelly’s son with The Tourist star Bettany, 40, whom Connelly wed in 2003.

Lovely. Great cause, Jennifer speaks with intelligence, and I basically have no problems with anything she or Paul ever want to say or do. I love them so much.

They have a lovely family. But I am quite sure she was really born in 1968, and has been lying about her age for a long time.
Yeah, in my book, this woman can do no wrong. Have loved her since wwaaaaaaaaaay back in “The Rocketeer” days with Bill Campbell — the baby-faced days when she had Christina Hendricks-quality cleavage and, yep, the most perfect eyebrows ever.
I get that she gave birth 3 month ago but she could at least wear something better and less dark.
jc126 – I doubt she’s lying about her age. You must be getting her confused with Rachel Zoe who is in her 50’s but her official age has been 39 for the past several years.

Gina – no, I swear I remember seeing her in a magazine way, way back when, like in the late 80s, and they had her DOB listed as 12/12/68.

I prefer her pale, it makes her features pop more, but she is still stunning. Perfectly adorable family.
I can’t believe she looks that great 3 1/2 months after baby #3 at 40 years old! But 7 years between each child? Wow. I don’t think I could get back into baby mode after regaining my independence. Also, how does one schedule a home birth? I’m assuming they mean a pre-planned home birth? Scheduled is like saying she chose a date and delivered at home.
Loved her since Labyrinth; huge fan of himself as well. She looks stunning as ever; I like how her cheeks look a bit extra filled out – she sometimes gets so thin as to be almost gaunt. And I think the name Aggie is cute.
Watched House of Sand and Fog, again, recently. For me, she can do no wrong….love her!
I so agree with this post, I love Jennifer so much, she can do no wrong. She is a tremendously talented actress.
She has the most beautiful face! And she’s a good actress.
She should do charity for poor women around the glode who don’t have access to good plastic surgeons like she does.
Does she look good? Pretty much. Is it natural? NOPE.
And she’s not really a good actress. People think she is because she’s attractive (like the young pretty actresses who win awards they don’t deserve). Her “acting” is being able to cry without ruining her make-up, like Demi Moore in ghost. There’s very little about her I find appealing.
They are one of my favorite couples. Thank you for posting some Paul Bettany, even though he wasn’t with her!
Wow, she looks beautiful. And healthy and strong, too. Her eyes look full of sparkle and life–I want whatever she’s having!
Also, having another kid at 40 with a 7-year gap after the previous child is really lifting my spirits. I’m 34 (will be 35 in Nov.) and have a 2-y-o and am about to take a totally punishing job that will make having baby #2 really hard for at least another 2-3 years. So hey, there’s hope!!

I don’t know… she is very pretty…seems okay. But the pictures at the bottom – the tall guy is her husband no? not one of the sons? because the way the young kid is looking at him as he strokes his hair (which people usually do when they are either stressed or … I have no idea why) is very questioning. Something strange about that. Maybe it’s post-birth stress.
I think she looks great! In terms of plastic surgery, she doesn’t look like she’s doing Botox-it’s refreshing.

She has always been beautiful but I don’t see the post baby “weight” ANYWHERE on her frame. Her boys look just like her. The younger one in particular has her face.
Not impressed. She played it to safe, I would have loved to see her in a dress with some color. Beautiful women but bad outfit choice.

I really like this couple. Maybe it is all smoke and mirrors but they seem stable and loving. Just doing their thing, living their lives. It is refreshing after SJP, Goopy and the Cruise pr machine.
