Here are some more photos from last night’s LA premiere of The Ides of March – I already covered the Stacy Keibler/George Clooney stuff here. Considering that Keibler made an effort to look less busted, you’d think that the female stars of the film would try to elevate their style game too. Maybe this is Evan Rachel Wood’s attempt at elevating her game – an attempt and a fail. Look, I don’t have any problems with Evan’s recent attempts to really bring menswear to the red carpet this season. I like that such a young woman is trying such a “grown up” and professional look, and I like that she’s so covered up too. But this particular suit look was a fail. It’s a combination of things – for one, the suit’s cut is unflattering, especially the “drape” of the pants. It’s just awful on a young woman with a nice figure. And then there’s the way she styled the look, with the overworked hair, the too-heavy makeup, the bustier AND the big necklace. She went overboard.

Marisa Tomei improved on her look, though. I love her in shades of red – she’s so pretty, and I believe she’s natural too.

And here’s some Ryan Gosling in green. Thoughts on Ryan’s style? I like that he’s a young guy who’s learning how to dress for formal occasions. I like that he always wears a suit for his premieres. I like that he’s learned how to care about style. That being said, this suit looks like it was made from Army fatigues.
