The movie Butter got really good reviews in the trade papers. It has Ty Burrell from Modern Family in it who plays her husband (the former butter carving champion).

Butter received bad reviews at all the movie festivals. When a movie is overhyped like this one and it’s not coming out for months it must be bad. Jennifer Garner can’t carry a movie and lately all her movies have been sucky, this looks no different.

She is tall. Not exactly pearl white, but definitely caucasian.
However, I don’t know anyone who considers her “pretty”.
She has very crude and masculine features.
She looks like she works in a farm and could work with equipment/ horses.
Garner is plain Jane. Nothing more nothing less.

It looks like one of those ‘dated, but not of a recognisably specific bygone era’. It also looks like one of ‘we’re all in it!’ affairs. I think I saw Ty Burrell, Rob Corddry, some Twilight kid, Phyllis Smith, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Queen Person were someone, Alicia Silverstone (gainfully employed, apparently), Kristen Schaal, Olivia ‘Wilde’…
Anyway, it’s apparently supposed to be a satire of the 2008 presidental election, so let’s guess: who is Garner supposed to be? Heck, who could she pass for now?

Aw, am I the only one here who likes her? I find her beautiful and although she usually does much better on tv, I think with a more dramatic role, something unusual, she could do pretty well in movies, too.
I’ll probably go see this if it comes out in my country.

Jennifer Garner was just doing her job and saying the lines she was given, and she gets critiscized for it as if she said it in an interview or to TMZ while she was coming out of a restaraunt.

This is so funny…I was just reading something on the DM about Martha Stewart that made me think about Garner. I was like…Oh, this is who she admires! Says a LOT about her.
Then I decided to head on over here to CB and thought wouldn’t it be funny if there was a post about her today? Lo and behold there was. Too funny.
Um, I can’t tell much from that one clip but I wonder how this film will be received? Seems like it will have a mixed reception. I’m not the biggest fan of hers…actually not a fan at all really (I guess a little indifferent).
It looks like she was trying not to “wink, wink” to the audience and stay in character but I wonder if things will go too much the other way and people will (espcially w/ the political climate today) not get the joke? Or even resent her for making fun of Palin/Bachmann? It’s totally possible.

@ Me – I agree. I normally love women with strong features and high cheekbones, but Garnier for some reason I find quite fug. I can’t pinpoint any feature in particular that’s ugly about her face, just in general.

Garner is pretty. Loved her in Arthur, & of course, as Sidney Bristow.
Who dissed her chin? The worst female chins in bus the are on Aniston, Barrymore, & Witherspoon, who are considered attractive by some of you. Then there’s Kelly Osborne who got enough extra chin for 2, as did Rumor, while GaGa got none. But those 3 are been not generally considered attractive.

People were pretty nuts over her when she was married to Scott Foley, wonder where the love went? I have heard from some friends that she’s far more attractive in person, whether it’s true or the effects of TIFF fumes, I know not.
