These are new photos of Lady Gaga in London today. Thoughts on her outfit? I can’t remember the last time I was truly shocked/appalled by something Gaga wore. Well… I guess I was “shocked” by her Jo Calderone drag at the VMAs, but that was only because she was acting like a budget Andrew Dice Clay. But really, Gaga has been getting tamer and tamer. Either that or she shtick is just boring now. Either/or. So, what does today’s ensemble consist of? A lacy little dress that I’m guessing is D&G. Turquoise, vinyl-looking heels that look really trashy but probably cost a fortune. And is that real fur? I don’t know. Probably not – it’s kind of pinkish, and upon closer inspection, it looks cheap.
By the way, you know that Gaga met President Obama, right? That happened a few weeks, at a California fundraiser. Apparently, Gaga sat front and center at the dinner, and she acted appropriately and didn’t try to ambush the president, which is good. According to reports, she waited in line with everybody else to have a photo and a minute of Obama’s time. Pres. Obama joked about gala for the Human Rights Campaign in Washington, saying that “She was wearing 16-inch heels. She was 8 feet tall. It was a little intimidating.” At the same HRC dinner, Obama joked with the audience, “I held some productive bilateral talks with your leader.”
Also – have you seen the video of Gaga and Tony Bennett’s “The Lady Is A Tramp”? I swear, Gaga seems to be channeling Liza here. She might even be great in a Broadway musical…?

You know what? She’s talented. Strip off all of the insecure related costumes, and if she would put more focus on her obvious talent, she would be unstoppable.

Just saw the video, I liked it, but was she high? Talk about erratic.
She has the voice for that old big band stuff, wish she would do more like that.
And the outfit, love the pink fur, the hair (though in certain light it looked like stayed in the pool too long and didn’t rinse after), and the makeup (minus the crap on her cheeks). The heels ruin it.

I dislike that anytime a woman has real, natural boobs, everyone is all “OMG LOOK AT YOUR SAGGY BOOBS”. I know that we are all so used to seeing fake boobs that we forget that any boobs larger than a B cup sag. Its called gravity people. Its not like hers are down to her knees. She has real boobs, and I’m happy that for once, someone with (somewhat) of a chest, and is young, isn’t afraid to be like “hey…this is real and this is what real boobs look like”.

I really like Gaga. I think her risk taking performance wise is very entertaining, because you never know what she will do. I think she is very talented musically, and I love the song with Bennett. Her fashion is fun, but I would like her with or without it.

I am totally on board with you, Franny. I’m 25, a D cup (no kids either), and yes, my boobs do have some sag. Natural large breasts have a teardrop shape and gravitational sag. And you know what, they look a million times better than bolted on, soccer ball boobs (IMO, but to each their own).
Although, I must say that I wouldn’t be running around town unsupported like Gaga. I’m so used to bras that I feel uncomfortable without them.

I’m not tearing her down, just saying if you don’t wear a bra when you are young, you shall regret it.
As for the fur thing. I would never buy a new fur coat. I would never wear a fur unless it was sub-freezing in a blizzard. I’ll be honest though, and say that when I moved from LA to Montreal in the dead of winter, I bought a vintage fur on ebay. That coat was already made for someone (still has her name embroidered in it) and was already in existence for a while. If I hadn’t bought it, it would still exist. It’s not like the demand for a new Chinchilla coat that Gucci puts out as the latest thing. I have leather coats, synthetic coats, you name it. Nothing kept me and my thin blood warm in a blizzard except that vintage fur. I have many faux pieces as well, living in really cold climates the last two years. I just refuse to get guilted about that coat. I was reusing instead of consuming a new anything.
I do understand why women in Canada, Russia and the like wear fur, it keeps you warmer than anything else. I despise the way fur is made, wish they could do it completely humanely. If they could I wouldn’t feel worse about farmed fur animals dying any worse than I do cows (food and leather) or pigs. (food and parts for humans).
Does that even make sense? Is a cow less important than a farmed mink if killed in a humane way? I wish all slaughter was humane-both my horses were on the truck when I rescued them. My last two dogs were rescued and 5 cats. So I hope you don’t want my legs broken because I wore a used fur coat. I’d hope my track record working at rescues and adopting and reusing what’s already here would speak for itself.
I’m pretty sure Gaga didn’t buy hers on ebay.

And I am totally sick of women talking shit on other women’s boobs. Mine have had some hang since I was 14, which was the last time they were the same size as Gaga’s. The first time I saw American Beauty and saw Thora Birch’s boobs, I thought, “Oh, OK, so maybe there are other young women out there with tatas like mine.” The tits that young girls end up seeing in the media and online are usually fake, so maybe Gaga’s are giving some other girl out there a bit more confidence in her body.

They prevent sagging when you are wearing them. I mourn my old boobs, still go braless unless I am going somewhere, but boob jobs? I dunno. My husband still loves mine, so I just put on a push up bra when I go out.
However, if I leave the house in a lace nightie with my tittays hanging out, I’d expect some comments.
