These are newish photos of Nicole Richie at the 2011 Environmental Media Awards (in mustard Keepsake) and a QVC FFANY Shoes event (in black Helmet Lang), all over the past few days. A few things, right off the top. First, BANGS. I actually don’t think Nicole looks bad with bangs, but she’s wearing them much too heavy. When they go that far below your brows, and they’re THAT thick, it’s time to grow at least some of it out. Looking at the bangs between the two sets of photos, they work better when her hair is down – it’s more of a style than a trauma, like they are in the black photos.
Next: her new boobs. I kind of forgot that Nicole had gotten implants until I spied her rack in this mustard dress. What’s going on there? Is it a padded bra, or some kind of strapless contraption that’s pushing her boobs up? Because they look pretty big there. So big, I thought she was pregnant. She’s not (as far as I know) – she’s just got new boobs and some fancy new bras to make her new boobs look great.
As for the fashion – I’m rather blah on both of these outfits. Neither of them are bad or wonderful. But I do appreciate that Nicole takes the time and effort to put together whole “looks” – she really does care about red carpet appearances. One last minor thing: she has beautiful eyes, and there’s absolutely no need for her to go all Duchess Waity with her eye-makeup. Too much, Nicole!

The bangs are too long. But I have to say, I like the principle of Nicole Richie with bangs. She looks fine to me, BUT: The tan has to go. Way too orange for my taste.

I love this girl. Talk about getting over addiction, moving forward and establishing legs outside of your parents. Everyone should take a page out of this woman’s book and study it really hard. The female Robert Downy Jr….well, ha, no, he is so talented. Same concept of going down and coming up winningly.
She looks beautiful, wish the hair were brown again and that she would ease up on the raccoon eyes. Aside from those two “enhancers” I think she is looking beautiful.

though, I disagree about the bangs. I think they suit her but like them better with hair up.
with the up-do, she’s got an Uma Thurman vibe going on. sophisticated and sleek. with the down-do, she’s got a Goldie Hawn vibe going on, soft and pretty.
she’s a lucky girl to be able to vary her look so much and pull off both.

It’s hard to find anything wrong with Nicole. She looks great, she’s a wonderful designer and she certainly has changed her life around. She’s the cat’s meow.

Didnt even recognize her in the black dress.
I think the bangs need to be shorter and a little less thick.
Boobs are too big or else it is that dress – she does look pregnant in it.
I think the raccoon eyes look good on her – this livens them up a little.
Hate the leopard shoes and is that a rosary or a tattoo of a rosary on her ankle? How strange.

I’m not really a fan but she looks great! The bangs look great as do the clothes. And as far as busty goes, she looks well proportioned. I think the minor boob enhancement she got doesn’t make her look so stickly so I think its great. I feel for girls like her and Kelly Rowland who got minor boob jobs mostly so that clothes fit them better. There is nothing wrong with being in proportion for your body.

Much better with a little weight on. I’m not so sure she got implants like everyone’s saying — if she did they are perfectly subtle. Chances are it’s just 8-10 extra pounds while still working out & good padded bras (& swimsuits in Mexico). I’m the same — itty bitty titty when skinny, bustier w/ a few pounds (working out is essential though)

Agree with anyonymoose. It’s really commendable that she turned her life around, now it wouldn’t be criminal to adopt some of that zeal and apply it the outside of her much-improved life.
You can try to deny your biology by doing needless things like getting a superfluous tan, getting your nose tip refined or bleaching all of the non-WASP bits out your hair but Mother Nature will not be suppressed and exacts her revenge by reminding us that though we may look decent one way, we seem to look better when we chill out, stop trying to fool ourselves with the head to toe genectic remodelling, stop privileging one part of our ethnicity over the other and stop making ourselves so tired and drawn chasing down a pyrrhic victory. I think I might’ve just said she’s a woman, hm…anyway…
I think she looks good, I just think she’d look a lot better if she stopped pursuing colours that don’t exist within the same universe as nature. Time and cost effective, too.
