In yesterday’s Sarah Jessica Parker fashion-post, I mentioned that Paz de la Huerta was at the Tower Heist premiere too. Paz isn’t in the movie, but I theorized that she was probably friendly with Brett Ratner, who directed the film (and I was right). Whatever tenuous connection she had to be there, she went completely over the top with her fashion choice – this long gown that was completely inappropriate for a pretty standard premiere (in which she does not star). Anyway, Page Six has a funny story about what happened with Paz after the premiere:
“Boardwalk Empire” wild child Paz de la Huerta got into a scuffle with a drunken friend at Brett Ratner’s after-party for “Tower Heist.”
The TV vixen, one of many stars at the director’s packed, late-night VIP bash Monday at Rande Gerber’s Stone Rose Lounge, sat at a table and accidentally spilled a drink over her friend, who jumped up in tears.
Staff scurried with napkins, and de la Huerta grabbed her friend’s arm to apologize. But her inconsolable pal shoved her away, wailing. A staffer handed the ladies bottles of water before they were helped out the door and into a taxi.
But, “I haven’t had a drink since March 23,” de la Huerta insisted to us last night. “I was drinking Coca-Cola. I brought a very good friend to the premiere who’s having problems. She got wasted. She lost her wallet and was screaming and wailing and acting irrational. She spilled a drink on herself when I reached over to hold her hand to calm her down. She feels horrible about it. I made the decision to leave. Brett is a dear friend.”

Maybe it’s the Claritin D that I’m on, or maybe I’m high from all of the V8 I’ve been drinking (I feel like Paz looks), but is Paz making sense? It sounds like her friend was the hot mess, not Paz. Of course, maybe it speaks to Paz’s general hot-mess-status that her “date” for a premiere was a friend in the midst of some kind of breakdown. Paz is a self-generating drama machine, bless her heart.

How about that blind item, that really gross one Lainey posted? I suck at guessing them but the answer for that one so obvious that it wasn’t even funny.

She actually looks really hot here. For Paz, a long gown at someone else’s premiere is nowhere near the bad end of her inappropriate scale.

Eve, thank you for the blind! I’d read that on Lainey’s site and had NO idea, despite the “easy” bit. But then I’m really terrible at blind items. But yeah, that one totally makes sense. Sigh–those poor PAs.

Why does her face always look so sweaty or is greasy? Put a little eye makeup and some powder on. She is a strange lady. I can’t decide if I like her or not.

i’m sure that is not the whole story she just sounds like liho who blames her problems on others and acts like everything is just swell. and don’t be surprised that she sounds coherent either, i’m thinking her whole fucked up sensitive artist routine is a rehearsed act. she talks about being born a natural artist all the fucking time, and part of that cliché is being an unreasonable drunk and crazy junkie. she also seems to idolize women who were part of that cliché hype, such as juliette lewis and courtney love. again, nothing to see here, move along. btw did anybody else think that the dude who plays jim darmody was amazing in last week’s b.e. episode? i had no idea he could act like that! up until now he was meh, with a monotonous voice and all. to be fair this girl is the weakest link on that show her acting hasn’t phased me at all. it’s ok, not bad but i have yet to be surprised by her.

@Eve ewww i just read that now that you posted it, didn’t have the guts to do so before. I totally believe it could be Paz who did it. Fits the profile and the personality. But if it is her, I’m surprised that her act is what is causing her screen time. I always thought her character was meant to be temporary from the very beginning and that she bought more time for herself by blowing the right people and getting naked and causing controversy. I never believed she was meant to be a series regular. This definitely sheds a different light on the show.
BTW for anybody who watches the show: Might contain mild spoilers-I thought it was disgusting that Paz made up a background story for her insignificant character, one which involved her character being sexually abused by her father for years, when the character always says the word daddy a lot in the sex scenes, it was pretty gross and obscene too when you look back at it, ewwww. Only a gross person like Paz would make up that background story by the way that her char. utters the words daddy at sex scenes. ewww omg i wish i’d never read that

She always looks stoned or drunk. She plays a drunken/addicted skank on Boardwalk so I guess her life is living the art. She’s another flash in the pan actress that will drink herself to death or pull an Anna Nicole and keep showing up drunk in public and making a fool of herself. Good goin Paz-The-Spaz De La Huerta! Viva Tequila!!!! Your parents must be so proud.
