Lady Gaga’s 14-minute music video for “Marry the Night”: crackie nightmare?

Here is the 14-minute-long music video for Lady Gaga’s “Marry the Night”. Gaga directed this monstrosity and I… can’t even start. I’m so over Gaga at this point… how can you still put up her, little monsters? She’s TERRIBLE. Gaga has described this as “An autobiographical film recounting my past, revealing my struggles + love for showbiz.” OK, I’m seriously going to try to get through this (for you), and I’ll put down my thoughts as they happen:

0:26 – Gaga changed her speaking voice again. Now she sounds even more like Madonna, especially when Madge was doing her “I’m an English countrywoman” thing. Right? Gaga’s voice is more clipped and Englishy.

0:37 – Her past is an unfinished painting? Do we have to be coked out of our skulls to “get it”?

1:16 – “Mint” will be big next Spring. Taking notes.

2:40 – She’s just as bad of an actress as Madonna too.

3:00 – Gah, I’m just going to skip ahead. God, Gaga must think her poop is High Art too. Invest in an editor, bitch!

4:50-ish – The music seems to be starting. Oh, good. Crackie ballerina.

6:00-ish – So this must be her writing process, correct? She sits in a room, does drugs and just acts crackie and thinks that it’s all so f–king brilliant.

7:00 – Oh, Madonna is in this? Oh, wait.

7:12 – “But I still had my Bedazzler.” OH GAGA. You’re so funny. How delightfully low-brow.

8:00-ish – Finally, the real music seems to be starting.

9:00 – Yikes, this song sucks. What is with Gaga’s 1980s fetish? All of her music sounds like it belongs on The Karate Kid soundtrack.

10:20 – This part looks like that other Madonna video, the one she did in the leotard.

11:00 – God, this sucks so hard. Do you mind if I quit? I have better things to do with my day.

I haven’t watched the video because to me 14 mins is just overkill. It’s a music video not a short feature!

  2. Sweetpea says:

3:46 ‘just un petit peur de la musique.’ That’s Gaga for: ‘I just want to show you all that I speak pseudo-French too, bitches.’

  3. jc126 says:

Um, yeah. I got to 6:53 before I had to stop before my brain melted.
Is she alluding to a past abortion in the beginning? It sure seems like it, with the references to other girls in the ward, she’s in tears, she makes a comment about “MY mother is a saint”, etc.

  4. Scarlett says:

I will never buy Cheerios again.

  5. Danziger says:

Excuse me but what the f–k is this sh-t?

  6. Artisan says:

This… *weeps* this is why I’m a Gaga stan. :'[

  7. Pont Neuf says:

Someone is DESPERATE to be the centre of attention at any cost… However, pompous, tedious and pointless is not a good combination. Gaga needs better script writers.

Oh, she also needs to stop taking herself so seriously and reading Baudelaire and Rimbaud – the refuge of pseudo-intellectuals who wanna be seen as “too deep for the masses”.

In addition, she should look deeper into the recesses of pop culture iconography and steal ideas from someone other than Madonna, Cher and Grace Jones. You know, be a little original in her plagiarizing. Maybe Nina Hagen? Try a little harder, honey.

As for the song, it sounds like a cross between Blondie’s ‘Atomic’ and Madonna’s ‘Into The Groove’. Yet again.

In short, EPIC FAIL. Silly Madonna wannabe.

    • Bad Fairy says:

      Perfect

      • Nev says:

        word.

the thing with gaga is she can sing.

the dancing is forced, not pretty or sexy to look at…not her thing…so it feels more uncomfortable..not that she can’t be sexy, it’s just not video hot..plus she references Madonna (hard) and she doesnt have to…so many things to reference or come up with.

her songs lately have no hook…just overkill.

  8. Stacia says:

I saw the first 2 minutes of the video when she was narrating and talking about the nurse’s ass and I was like… I can’t watch this sh!t.

Trying to rival Madonna and Micheal Jackson..Now “Thriller” that was a video that warranted 10 plus minutes. But this I dont think so (although I did not see all of it)

    • Original Bee says:

I started laughing hysterically during the narration, mostly so I wouldn’t have to hear what she was saying. Somebody’s been watching too many French New Wave movies. Jean-Luc Godard you are not Stefani. Watching this is so hard for me as a former fan. Gaga used to be crazy and funny and talk about bluffin’ with her muffin. Now she’s turned into the Princess of Pomposity, that makes music videos I need take a bathroom break during. So sad, and wasteful. Somebody could’ve eaten those Cheerios 😀

  9. bored says:

Don’t think I want to sit through the video but I’ve heard the song on the radio and really like it.

  10. keri says:

for such an “original” video, she creates the most generic party music. yawn. best part? cheerios cameo.

    • Original Tiffany says:

Gawd! What an awful mess. Funny Cheerios flashback. Cintra Wilson, now a “journalist” used to date my friend and thought she was so avant garde and actressy. Once we went to this club where she was supposed to be Edie Wedgwick to Andy…We got to throw Cheerios and mayo at her. Awesome,, I never chucked cereal so hard in my life and laughed my ass off. Oh, so “high art”:)
Very Monarch and mason and illuminati symbolism here from the colors to the masonic signs on the ceiling, her different alters, her allusions to not remembering her past, the psych ward. Ugh, we get it, Gaga.
And fuck mint, it’s a horrid color. What a GD mess this was. Did she steal Madge’s wardrobe from Desperately seeking Susan?

  11. retyah says:

Ahhhh I want to see it but I’m in Germany, you can barely watch any youtube videos here!

Saw the bedazzler thing on Tumblr and I thought it was fake. Does she think thats deep and thought provoking?

    • ILikeStuff says:

Try downloading something called HotSpot shield. It hides your IP address and uses one from New York instead.

  12. Lucy says:

I can’t believe I made it through That mess! Ugh I need an Aspirin. How narcissistic are you that you make a 14 minutes video where you just runaround pretending your Madonna in the 80’s.

  13. Hanna says:

What a load of sh*t. This doesn’t even deserve to be called abstract lol.

  14. Paige says:

I just don’t understand some people. Why watch a 14 min long video from someone you hate? I just can’t get over how that doesn’t make any sense. did someone force you to watch it? NO.
kaiser, she could have releasedthe best video in the world and you would have still had negative comments. we all know you hate lady gaga but still somehow find time to write a bias post on her

    • hatsumomo says:

Well, I hate the video because it just wasent that great. Now Bad Romance, that was a fucking awesome music video! Now it just seems like she got too into herself to be original.

  15. Jackie says:

couldn’t get past minute 3. so trite.

  16. Minky says:

i would just like to have 2008 Gaga back, please. she was fun, she made dance music, and she knew that was what she did well. Gaga 2011 doesn’t know what she’s good at since she lost herself in the schtick of being different and trying to be avant-garde … which is to say she’s just recycling all the things that were once taboo and risque.

    • Original Bee says:

I agree. I liked 2008 gaga. She was fresh, original and fun. Emphasis on fun. 2011 gaga is a raging narcissist that has gotten so full of herself she’s about to pop. A lot of artists think they’re the second coming, but they aren’t so blatantly obvious about it.

      • Minky says:

Definite emphasis on fun!! The videos from The Fame were interesting, intriguing, and FUN. Bright colors, funky clothes, dancing… I miss the simplistic fun she used to have, when wearing funky clothes, dancing, and making music were a good time in and of themselves. *sigh*

    • NotTellinYou says:

I actually miss Stefani…I know she’s still in there someplace! 🙁

    • Amanda G says:

I couldn’t agree more! I’m a fan of Gaga (but not one of those dumb little monsters) but she sucks this year. She thinks Born This Way was a masterpiece, but it was actually pretty crappy in comparison to The Fame Monster. She also has looked like a strung out whore all year. She’s certainly not a beautiful woman, but she did look A LOT better when she was wearing normal makeup/hair and fierce fashion during the pokerface days. She needs to take a break after this single and re-evaluate her career. She shot to fame only a few years ago, but she’s on the verge of self-destruction. I think more people hate her than love her now.

  17. Jayna says:

She keeps bragging she directed it. She should stop bragging. What a bloated mess. I was so bored. Gaga, go back and watch Madonna’s Like A Prayer, Express Yourself, Justify My Love, Deeper and Deeper, Bad Girl Vogue and Frozen to watch unique videos that hold your interest. Deeper and Deeper was arty but you were never bored. Madonna said she would never direct her videos because you can’t do both well. Gaga, use a director next time. And stop cheesy dancing you used in Born This Way and now here again.

Go back and look at your Bad Romance. It was great. So was Judas.

  18. Lupe says:

I’m not a Gaga hater–I actually really liked The Fame–but this is truly awful. Truly, truly, truly awful.

  19. gag says:

madonna directed a movie, so gaga has to direct too… and what’s with the madonna hairstyles from 90s to reinvention tour

  20. Jover says:

Sign on pont neuf – I don’t believe she even knows who baudelaire and rimbaud are or from what century they are from – probably her handlers told her artsy people that listened to dylan etc. read this in the 50s/60s correct me if i’m wrong but she was unfamiliar with Andy Warhol for God’s sake – she is the most unoriginal overhyped hack out there and how can anyone call her an artist when everything she does is strictly corporate commercial?

  21. Eleonor says:

The piano music between 4 min. and 6. something isn’t that Chopin?

  22. Scarlett says:

I think the lack of comments is the best comment.

  23. JB says:

Wow- it really isn’t THAT bad. I like the song. Also, she is undeniably talented. The video is not good, but all the negative comments? Overkill.

  24. ghoulish_moose says:

    Oh poor poor Gaga.
I’m actually really sad that she’s turned out this way. A weird product of her own fame.

I’ve said this so many times before but she was great when she was doing Just Dance and Poker Face. She didn’t take herself too seriously, she was fun, fresh and a little bit quirky for the times which was cool. People liked her, she was a little bit different.

Now she’s turned into this martyr, this icon for “misfits” everywhere. This avant-garde piece of art. None of her videos are simple and fun visual pieces like they used to be. They have to be deep, symbolic, inspirational mini-films that take up a quarter of an hour.

Gaga, I’m not sure what’s happened to you. But please stop trying to be something deeper than you are. Instead you’re alienating the fans who truly liked you in the beginning. I want to still like you, but it’s getting harder when you create unnecessary and confusing videos to prove how “deep” you are or whatever message you’re trying to convey. I don’t even know anymore. Marry the Night is about your love of New York, what does this video have to do with that? I don’t want to see you crash and burn, but you just may be on your way…

    • Original Bee says:

Well said and so true. I almost miss the days when music videos used to have to be short enough so they could play on MTV. Now we get these self indulgent mini films, as you said. In which 80% of the video doesn’t even include the song.

      • Eleonor says:

Well Michael Jackson used to make videos which lasted an infinity of time back in the ’80 but he was Michael Jackson and in the ’80s he was THE superstar, he could do whatever he want. He even had Martin Scorsese directing the Bad’s video, which lasted something like 18 minutes. Lady Gaga was very good in the Fame Monster, now after the success she believes to be as great as Jacko in 1987, for this reason she thinks she can do a video like this. She is sooo wrong.

    • kim says:

I co sign. I love her. I really do, but I can’t defend this. It’s sh_t, and self indulgent, and it doesn’t mean anything. Video’s from the fame had more meaning than this. Paparazzi?! Was a comment on fame culture in America, but at the same time it was silly, with bright colors. Old Gaga was in on the joke. It was like she was saying to you, I know this dumb but its awesome at the same time.

  25. Happy21 says:

This was probably my 3rd fave song from this CD. I loved the energy and pictured her making a video of like New York nightlife or something like that.

I like Gaga. I loved Madonna. I see the copycat thing to a point. Madonna was a true pioneer and Gaga has never said that she wasn’t. Eventually everything has been done. I mean Madonna ripped off Marilyn Monroe’s look for years and years and if we had the internet back then I’m sure we woulda bitched about it. I don’t think Gaga is deliberately saying oh I’m gonna copy Madonna. Madonna WAS New York in the 80’s.

I think that this video is total overkill. I think Gaga has sooo much ambition that she is letting it get a little out of control. She has directed some of her other music videos and I think she will probably direct a film eventually. Considering the girl has never, ever been in a movie or claimed that she can act, I think she did pretty good in the beginning. Better than I could ever do. I could have done without the naked Gaga and the honey nut cheerios for sure. I think the dance studio choreography and the burining cars was good and the street dancing, etc. The rest I could have done without. Another thing about Gaga is she has always said that she is not the best dancer, that it was the one thing that she truly didn’t feel superior at.

I don’t know, I’m not a ‘monster’ because those are children and teenagers but I think that she is unlike anything the music world has ever seen. She will be compared to Madonna because they are both female pop stars that created a huge following and a name for themselves above everyone else. Neither of them did anything less than what they wanted to do.

That being said, I don’t think Born this Way is at all comparible to her previous two albums and if Adele doesn’t win the Grammy for Best Album of the year and Gaga does, I will be pissed!

    • Cherry Rose says:

You said “I think that she is unlike anything the music world has ever seen”.

I’m sorry, but that simply isn’t true. Surely you’ve heard of David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Grace Jones, Bjork, and Marilyn Manson?

I get that you’re a Gaga fan, but to say she’s unique and there has never been anyone in the music industry like her is simply not true.

Gaga is not unlike anything the music world has ever seen. In fact, the majority of what she does has already been done by greater artists. The only problem is that the majority of her fans are too young to remember these artists, and don’t seem to care to look them up, so they believe that Gaga is truly unique and her persona and look has never been done before.

      • Jb says:

This is your opinion only. Let other people have theirs as well. All artists are inspired by other artists.

      • Happy21 says:

And those artists are also unlike anything the world has ever seen. I am a Bowie fan, am a Madonna fan, Michael Jackson also. They are all icons in their own right. They are all unique. I do not believe that Gaga has ripped anyone off. I think she looks to the past for inspiration. It is the 2000’s everything has been done more than once. She has more balls than any artists of her generation (Bowie, Madonna and Michael Jackson are NOT her generation). Plus, I think that Gaga is a lot more intellectual than Madonna was at her age.

I understand that you disagree and I am a fan. She’s not the be all and end all to me but she is unique in her own way. I’m sure when Bowie was the man in the 70’s people were wowed and thought there would be no one else so interesting. Then others came along. I do truly think that Gaga puts her own spin on the ‘art’ of being a pop star.

    • Minty says:

Madonna didn’t just rip off Marilyn Monroe over the years. She ripped off many artists/celebrities:

She copied Marlene Dietrich’s image several times. “I acted vulgar. Madonna is vulgar”, Marlene was quoted saying. Madonna copied Brigitte Bardot’s appearance in one scene from And God Created Woman for her ‘Cherish’ video. She ripped off Boy George’s ‘To Be Reborn’ video for her ‘This Used To Be My Playground’ video. Her ‘Express Yourself’ video lifted many scenes from the film Metropolis. Several images from Madonna’s ‘Vogue’ video were recreations of photos by famous photographer Horst P. Horst. He was reportedly not happy about it, because Madonna didn’t ask permission to use them and gave him no acknowledgement. He was 83 at the time, so perhaps that may be why he didn’t sue.

The son of deceased photographer Guy Bourdin did sue Madonna for glaringly ripping off his father’s photos in her ‘Hollywood’ video. He won the lawsuit. The video for ‘Love Profusion’ is a rip off of Billie Piper’s earlier video, ‘Honey To The Bee’. You can easily see the rip offs on YouTube. When you copy that much from the past, you are not paying homage anymore. You are a hack (are you listening, Beyonce?). It’s funny how Madonna fans complain about Lady Gaga being a copycat when Madonna is guilty of the very same thing.

Both women have imitated the work of lesser-known artists and relied on the fact that many of their fans are unaware of the original versions. Both don’t ask permission first. Both seem reluctant to openly give proper credit to those people whose images they are imitating. Gaga does come off more gracious in interviews, though. She’s a decent vocalist and talented piano player, but she can’t dance and should leave directing to others. I liked her earlier songs (Just Dance, Bad Romance). Her current album and videos are crap. She should spend her effort on writing good songs, not waste her time wearing attention-getting outfits or adopting this pose of being an intellectual artiste.

  26. Cherry Rose says:

She’s really far up her own ass at this point, and it’s really getting tiring. Gaga’s not avant garde, she’s not a true artist, and she’s not the best artist out there, nor will she ever be the next Madonna, as hard as she tries.
And she definitely is not original.

Oh, and I didn’t bother watching the music video. I don’t need to waste 14 precious minutes of my life on watching this.

  27. tyquashaia says:

This is what im talking bout….. gaga……. yuh a hore and yuh showing a 14 year to wear this……. this impropriate for me and other people and yuh showing ppl ur underwares and braw this ia not ryte yuh fuk u and ur job and yuh could suck a dick and die for all i care 😡

    • UnAttributableSpoon says:

Um…Are you attempting to type in English? I’m not trying to be snarky, but I totally don’t understand what you’re trying to say. Sorry.

  28. Irene says:

I dont understand all the neg comments. Is hating gaga the new trend now? I watched the video thinking it would really suck based on these comments. Its not bad. If she wants to make a 14 min video then thats her choice. Yall dont have to watch it. I loved the black swan and 80s vibe to it.

  29. DesertRose says:

Wow. So bad. And I like her. I wonder how many people are sitting around kissing her ass, saying this garbage is great. The song is average at best, but this short is ridiculous. The acting in the hospital scene. Yikes. I almost sat through the whole thing though.

  30. Chelsey says:

I just can’t get over the weird accent. Why the hell does she speak like that? Bitch, you’re from New York!

    • kim says:

Ok I actually have a theory as to why she’s talking like that. A while back she talked about how she went to get her voiced checked out because how she was talking was ruining her voice. Well, I’m a singer and I recently went to a voice therapist and she told me that the way I talk is messing up my voice as well. Basically there’s a specific way to talk so that you don’t put a lot of stress on your chords. The she’s talking is the way I sound now, so I assume it’s a voice saving thing, not a I think I’m British thing.

      • UnAttributableSpoon says:

I’m a singer too (opera mostly, I’m a colouratura soprano), and though I have quite a large range, I talk ‘too low’ in my speaking voice and have been learning to speak lighter and ‘higher’ as to take some of the stress off my voice.

She doesn’t sound “British” to me, but more a singer trying to speak “lighter and higher” in her voice, but not trying to speak like Madonna’s “lady of the manor” schtick.

  31. still miffed says:

    over her attention whorishness

  32. G says:

Honestly, this is funny. Get a sense of humor.

    • Lanster says:

Right? She even said herself that’s its got a comical undertone. People should give her a freaking break. I get that it’s over self indulgent and a bit much for some, but the woman is 25! I’m 25 and I can’t sing, dance, direct, or pretty much anything she does so kuddos to her. She’s amazing. She needs to go in a whole new direction soon or she’ll lose her appeal but I agree with you people need to get a sense of humor about it and stop hating.

  33. Day says:

UGH. UGH. UGH. I am so over these long ass videos from her. It worked with BR but now it needs to stop. Not every one of her songs need a movie. Just look at that We Found Love video from Rihanna. It is amazing and thought provoking. I am no fan and think the song sucks but that video proves you can provoke raw emotion and get your point across in under 5 minutes.

  34. Steve says:

This new video is one of the most boring, self indulgent, tedious pieces of crap that you will ever see in your entire life, if you’re really lucky. I deserve a friggin medal for sitting through the entire thing, although I did have to turn the sound off about 2 minutes into the, well, whatever it is. It sure isn’t a music video. It’s tremendously bad. Which, you never know, may be good for her. To come from making some admittedly clever music and videos to this worm crawling horror may get her to take a long look at what she has to say. Oh pleeeeeeze hire an editor and chop this horror down to 3 minutes, tops!

  35. Meliscious says:

I think Lady Gah!Gah! has gotten her vowels messed up. She thinks she’s fIErce, but she’s actually fArce. Spin that Wheel of Fortune, baby…maybe Pat and Vanna can help you out!

  36. NM9005 says:

    Ok, the positive things:

    – I like her MTN-dance.
    – Her acting is actually good. She was believable.

    Ok, done.

    Negative:

    – Art, art, every stupid thing she does is art. Excuse me while I go catch one of JSimps’s farts in a bottle and try to sell it as ART! It’s not because you say it’s art, that it actually is Gaga.
    – Looks like Madonna and not in a good way
    – When the music finally started, I was over it. Not sure if that was her intention
    – All over the place
-Glorifies mental institutions. As if we haven’t heard enough of “drugs + crazy = talent”. It’s not. Talent = natural ability for a skill or skills + hard work (Malcolm Gladwell, Outliers, 100000 hours). If crazy was the reason so many artist were talented than they would still be alive. Fact is, you are miserable when you are sick/crazy.
    – Anxiously awaiting her feature film when she releases her next album.
    – If you want to go MJ, at least make sense. When MJ did Thriller, it was truly a story. When Gaga does it, it’s narcissistic artsy mcfartsy bullcrap.
    – Sigh, I just don’t “get her”.

It was such a mess. I tuned out and just skimmed over the whole video. She tries to be so outrageous that there is nothing left for her next songs. All in all, what she does is not that interesting. Nowadays it’s so hard to push boundaries when we’re already used to half naked untalented people (I think Gaga is a person that’s talented though, I just wish she would show that instead of this). Emulating Madonna is impossible, she did her thing in a time where people were shocked by her behaviour and opinions.

    • Jackie says:

good point. her glorifying mental hospitals is so lame. she thinks that to be a true artist you must at least appear to be ‘tortured’.

maybe she needs to be educated on what really happens in mental health hospitals. then she wouldn’t dare romanticize them with her ‘artist’ stereotypes.

  37. GoGethem says:

I was too distracted by her makeup. At the very beginning of the gaga show her eyebrows were too weird and who ever did her makeup needed to blend it in a tad better.
I maybe I’m too old to get it…never thought I’d say that.

  38. Jover says:

For those that need to expunge this horrible mess from their brains go on youtube and watch Freedom with George Micheal; Thriller’s great but freedom may be the best vid ever done. Great song, great singer, five supermodels (not today’s aneorexic coat hangers), great photog/editing. If lady xerox weren’t so far up her arse she could learn a thing or two from the vid. Sadly, you won’t ever see a vid like Freedom.

    • Happy21 says:

I LOVED that video when it came out. Totally forgot about it until now. It was great. I’m gonna have to take a look at that one again…

  39. Lairen says:

This is probably wrong of me to say (because what if she really did have issues?) but I think she’s so vague about her traumatic past “incident” because I don’t believe anything very dramatic or traumatic really happened to her. But she needs the drama. She needs to feel like something deeply affected her beyond the normal events an upper-middle class teenager would experience.

That’s why her past is a ‘painting,’ in my opinion. Because she interprets it and shapes it to fit her needs. She needs to feel like she was a victim? Ok. She needs to believe she was deeply, psychologically wounded? Ok. But make the video really vague and non-specific, so that nobody can really say, “hey, that never happened.”

I’ll feel really bad, though, if she did go through something traumatic. I really shouldn’t even be judging her like this. But I’m kind of sick of her pretentious shtick. I wish she would just be straightforward for ONE day.

But the girl’s got talent. I’ll give her that.

  40. wendy says:

    LOVE IT!

  41. locamochagirl says:

I almost think she’s trying to be ironic here. She KNOWS she’s compared to Madonna, she always talks about it. I bet in her mind she’s being the “anti-Madonna” here by emulating her…

I feel like ANY and EVERY female singer will always be compared to Madonna. Britney Spears was a Madonna wannabe. Lady Gaga is just weird. I love her, but she’s gotten too ridiculous. She was quirky and fun and trying to be ironic. Now she’s gone too far, thinking she’s SO IMPORTANT and artistic. When she started out she KNEW she was just pop culture. I’m sort of over her, and that is just sad.

  42. Kim says:

I think she has a good voice & some of her songs & videos are somewhat entertaining but this song is terrible, the video is boring and Gagacan not dance to save herself.

  43. Kim says:

I dont agree that all female singers are comared to Madonna, Rhianna isnt, Beyonce isnt, Adele isnt, Katy Perry isnt, Gwen Stefani isnt, Mariah Carey isnt etc etc. Only singers who emulate Madonna, like Gaga, are compared to her.

  44. Smithy says:

…Sigh. You know, Kaiser, your writing is the reason I’ve continually come back to celebitchy over the last two years. But it seems, more and more, that your writing has become less snarky/fun and more hateful. I realize the site has “bitchy” in the title, but don’t you ever have anything positive to say anymore? And this isn’t about Gaga, or me being her fan or something — it’s more about the fact that rather than mentioning even ONE positive (how about the fact that, like it or not, at least Gaga’s always balls-to-the-wall in what she tries to do?) … you just sit there and pile up the hate. I doubt you’ll care about this, and you’ll probably just say good riddance, but I think I’m over celebitchy now. It’s just not fun anymore… and I have better things to do with MY day.

  45. Shy says:

Oh God. Another meaningless long video about nothing. I liked you Gaga. Very much. I used to like YOUR SONGS. And then, starting from Born This Way, you began to release awful annoying songs and awful videos to them. You believe your own hype. You believe that you are some God of music entertainment and that everything you touch is genius.

You have great song on the album – Bloody Mary. And instead of that you release Marry The Night and You and I. Such a bad choice.

Gaga was born in wrong time. When Madonna did those things back in a day that was controversial. It was scandalous. Madonna was a rebel. When Gaga does the dame things NOW – she just looks ridiculous. I look at her another idiotic video and just laugh at her “try hard”. She tries so hard to look sensational and controversial. But looks just stupid.

And dear Lady Gaga. If you want to be an actress then go and audition for movies or TV. Stop doing all those 15 minutes long videos with you “acting”. This is video clip to a song. It’s not a mini-movie.

  46. Dreadful. It is a pretentious atrocity, which is really sad, because I used to think she was clever, funny and down to earth.

  47. Cake says:

good God, Gaga! Really? This video is the epitome of trying to hard and copying off other artists, even I see this and I never really cared for Madonna or any other artists’ shes copied from. A true shame.

  48. usurper says:

    welcome, kaiser

  49. Oi says:

And here’s the number one reason I really started to dislike Gagme: her stans. She crams “tolerance” and being who your are, no violence, balh blah blah but her fans do this constantly. What makes you thinks that’s ok? If someone where to say that to a gay person there would be hell to pay.

  50. BitchyKaren says:

    Three words: Madonna Never Gonnabe

This bitch talked shit about Britney and Xtina in the past year. At least XTINA CAN SING & BRITNEY WEATHERED THE STORM AND AMAZINGLY STILL CAME OUT OF IT ON TOP. This is Gaga’s 3rd year in the industry and at this rate she’ll be irrelevant by 2012. Britney has been doing this for 13 years, madness and all. Britney still beat Gaga for Billboards Top5 Most Successful Artists of 2011. Gaga didn’t even make the Top5 list.

Album of the decade my ass. “Born This Way” sucks. Her ego will be the end of her. Loved her before, can’t stand her now.

  51. Original Tiffany says:

Seems to me Gaga did “this” to herself, no?

  52. JaneWonderfalls says:

Her 15 minutes of fame should be up soon. I do have to agree with one comment, I did like her better when she first came out, now she just seems like she has to out do her own self and it’s just pathetic now…and no I did not watch the full 14mins, I have learned never to waste that much time on any gimmicky superstar!

  53. Darla says:

I like it. It’s hard for me to criticize her, she always seems so sincere. I know sincerity doesn’t equal something good but she hasn’t offended me so far.

  54. emilia says:

I used to be a little monster , but this is just awful … this video is full of shit! 🙁 Gaga has become a parody of herself ! There are some good ides in the video, but the execution is really bad! She should have hired a real director make her videos – not her choreographer or whatever the fuck was that bitch that literally killed Gaga’s image and persona!was always giving Gaga a chance whith every new video and I’m sorry but this is the end for me!I fell in love with her becouse she was original and out of this world , but now she’s just a washed out version of Madonna! But I’ll still have my heart open for her , I hope that with her next album she’ll be back as the music genius that we all know that she is!

  55. m says:

My issue with lady GaGa is not hwe dressing or her makeu p or even How long this video is…Ira how she copies after everyone from the eighties and especially Madonna…she wasn’t even a dancer this whole video is based obmadonna life back in new York….gasbag was just rich girl who had a rich dad give her the connection …also Madonna might have copied but the things she did was nevvet done Bedford….like attacking religion, interracial relationships, sex, teenoregbancy, and her personality
