Here’s the thing: I know that I’m not the target audience for 21 Jump Street. I wasn’t the target audience for the television show, and I’m not the target audience for this remake/film. My first reaction when I heard they were making the show into a movie was, “Ugh, how awful. Where’s the originality?” And then I saw the trailer. And now I really want to see it. So imagine my delight when I happened upon these photos. These are labeled, “from a press conference for ’21 Jump Street’ at the Crosby Hotel New York City.” THIS is how Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum decided to do their first press conference for the film. They decided to dress up like their bike cop characters and talk to the press. I know it’s dumb. But why can’t I stop laughing?
I think it’s because of Channing, honestly. Channing is working the hell out of his costume. Like, I would hit that. Hard. He looks sexy as hell, and he’s working that costume, AND his expression is hilarious. And just putting Channing together with Jonah… it’s working for me. Yes, I will see your movie, boys. And I will enjoy it.
Oh, and I don’t know where Ice Cube was, but this photo was included in the set. OMG. This movie is going to be AWESOME.

I’m a 35 y/o female in finance and I think we *might* be a big part of the target audience if we remember the original 21 Jump Street.
I think it looks hilarious and Channing is totally working the outfit (hot!).
He seems pretty cool actually.

It is both funny and dumb. I will not be seeing this hot mess but hope it does well. I am waiting for Magic Mike. lol
Edit: there is something hilarious about the career shift for Ice Cube and Ice T’s respective careers. Nothing funny to add but I like how both have matured into successful business men.

I used to think Channing was sexy during the early stages of his career (modeling, mountain dew, coach carter, she’s the man) but once he got together with his wife, his sexy died.

I feel for him. I struggled a lot with my weight and went up/down for a few years…I’m at a healthy weight now but you better believe it takes a lot of practice to be able to lose the weight and maintain/overhaul your lifestyle vs. dieting yourself thin then going back to old habits. Hope he gets the hang of it.

Maybe he gained the weight on purpose. Possibly he has been pigeon-holed and couldn’t find work as the skinny guy. Sad, but I can totally see that happening:-(

Yes, I noticed it too. Maintaining a healthy weight is not simply about food but it’s a lifestyle change. He’ll have some fluctuations but I’m hoping he stays on the healthier side.

Okay, I LOVED Channing in Dear John… seriously loved him! Since then, he’s hit and miss for me (no pun intended). Some photos, I think he looks hot in, and others… well, not-so-hot. These goofy police ‘costume’ photos? Oh yes, definitely HOT!!! I get the feeling he might have worn a similar get-up back in his exotic dancing days, and looks like he’s getting ready to bump and grind a bit(;

Loved 21 Jump Street (showing my age!) and I think the trailers for this movie are hysterical. Can’t wait for it to hit theaters. It won’t be Oscar materiel, but I’m pretty sure its going to have enough funny moments to be worth the price of a ticket.

i actually really like Jonah, he has grown on me, i loved his character in get him to the Greek/money ball, good luck to both of them, the trailer looks funny, ice cube also.
