I hate that we’re now talking about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. In the past, I’ve been happy to discuss the rumors, and I genuinely thought Kanye and Kim would make a good couple. But now that they’re officially together… I’m disappointed. This relationship roll-out is crazy. Wednesday night, Kim and Kanye were spotted out on a date. Then Kanye’s new single came out (“Theraflu”) where he lyrically said he loved Kim. In a new interview with Today, Kim talks about Kanye, but she’s famewhores her way into a half-assed denial that Kanye loved her while she was married. Whatever.

She also says it’s “ridiculous” to say that she got married just for ratings. While I think she’s full of it in general, I will say that I don’t think Kim got married ONLY for ratings. I think she just wanted to be married – I said that at the time, and I still think that. She was immature, she wanted the fairy tale, she thought Kris Humphries would be the bland choice. Whatever. She also talks about the fur issue, and she makes a decent point: wearing and buying fur isn’t illegal. Enough.
Getting back to the Kanye thing… there are about a million new stories about them. Bullet points?
*Their first big public date was to The Hunger Games. Then they went to the interactive “theater experience” Sleep No More for “hours” and then they went to see a band play. Apparently, Kim and Kanye have been hanging out a lot while Kim has been in NYC, and Kim is finally ready to give a go now. After they spent the night together, they got lunch. It was epic. *People Mag’s sources say that Kim and Kanye “have just now started dating” after keeping it “light” for a while. Kanye is a gentleman too – he helps Kim into her coat, and he looks at her a lot.
*Page Six has a lengthy piece this morning about the seemingly contractual agreement that Kim and Kanye have made to “help push record sales and repair her reputation.” Even Kanye’s label didn’t know he was dropping a new song, and Page Six refers to the whole romance as a “publicity campaign”. I saw “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen” yesterday, and while it probably won’t win any awards, it was very sweet. Ewan McGregor was so incredibly gorgeous, and surpasses Fassy IMO. I always thought he was cute but in this movie I was totally overwhelmed. Maybe it was listening to his gorgeous Scottish accent for two hours.
