Zahara Jolie-Pitt wants to be a model, and Brad Pitt is dead-set against it

Zahara Jolie-Pitt is a girly-girl. She likes fashion. She likes doing different things to her hair. She likes jewelry. She loves purses. All of it is pretty cute, honestly. Add to all of that the simple fact that Z is already a really beautiful little girl… and many of us are pretty convinced that Z will rule the world someday soon. But until that day, her parents are still going to fight over what’s best for her. Angelina is pro-style, as in, she’s allegedly encouraging Zahara to have fun with her “look” and Angelina likes that she has one kid who is interested in how she gets ready for a red carpet. Brad, on the other hand, is worried that his little girl is growing up too fast.

Brad Pitt is seeing red over his daughter Zahara’s blue hair – and he’s battling Angelina Jolie over their little girl’s sudden desire to become a supermodel!

Zahara got the idea to get bright-blue braided hair extensions after seeing singers Katy Perry and Selena Gomez sporting blue locks in fashion magazines. And that’s just fine with Angelina, who’s thrilled the once-shy little beauty is being more assertive. But dad Brad is dead set against it because he thinks the adopted tyke is too young to be thinking about a modeling career, say insiders.

“Zahara has finally come out from hiding behind Angie’s apron strings and decided she wants to be a cover girl,” a source confirmed. “She loves practicing her runway walk and putting together colorful outfits – and she’s perfected a pout just like Naomi Campbell’s!”

According to the source, Zahara’s fashion sense has been on display on family outings over the past several months. Along with her blue hair extensions, she’s been photographed in stylish dresses, designer knee-high boots and Hello Kitty stick-on nails.

While the other kids couldn’t care less about Angelina’s designer styles, Zahara loves to watch Angie get ready for parties and awards shows.

“Zahara is becoming a mini-fashion diva and Angie couldn’t be prouder,” said the source. “And while Brad isn’t on board with the whole model idea, they do agree on one thing – Zahara has definitely come out of her shell.”

[From The Enquirer, print edition]

Was I interested in fashion magazines and plotting out a model career at the age of 7? Not really. But I did have an interest in some fashion-y, girly things, and I think many girls really start developing those interests around this age. I’m taking the whole “Zahara wants to be a supermodel!” thing as just part of what kids are like, though – isn’t it on course with “I want to be a pony!” and “I want to be a space cowboy!”? Other than that, I just have to debate the whole “Zahara has definitely come out of her shell” thing. She’s never had a shell! She’s always been this awesome.

It’s tabloid fabrication so it’s probably not true.

In any case, if true, Brad acts like most fathers : overprotectively loving over their little girl growing up too fast… We will remain little girls for our fathers even at 50 years old. No big deal !

    Quite cute actually.

The story is probably a sign of how desperate the tabs are since there haven’t been any JP sightings in a bit.
We all know the Empress sends down edicts and isn’t limited by their paltry demands :)

That’s kind of sad, if it’s true. This girl is being brought up with all the advantages life has to offer – and this will continue to be true. Sure, she’s pretty, but I hope that as she grows she doesn’t’ define herself by her looks, or think that being on a fashion magazine cover would be a serious accomplishment. Aim higher, Z!

This is such a ridiculous story. I had to laugh at this nonsense wondering if there was actually anyone who would believe this BS.

It is always that Brad and Angie are not on the same page.. according to the rags.

Brad said that the kids couldn’t get into acting until they were 18..then they could do whatever they want. Angie was a model at about 16 or so.

First the story is Total BS and I doubt Brad or Angie will have their kids doing anything in any field until they were much older. HECK they haven’t even had their kids walking a RC with them. And we see many many many other celebs with there kids being photographed at all kinds of event.

Zee is adorable. I’m sure the future is full of possibilities.. I hope for more than modeling..

I know – so cute!! And the last pic of Zahara holding Viv’s hand is so sweet – big sister.

When I was little I wanted a red Mercedes convertible and to be married to Greg Brady, then it became Tom Cruise, then George Michael. Just cuz a little girl has a little fantasy as a child does not mean it will dictate her life (BTW I have an engineering degree and am now a stay at home mom, not married to a talented gay, ex-boy bander)

Funny. I too wanted a red Mercedes. My future husbands would be Bobby Sherman and David Cassidy (aging myself). I did eventually get a red convertible (VW, not Mercedes) and I married….a toad. LOL Divorce is grand….sometimes..

Weren’t those Bros twins the dreamiest?

Okay, I couldn’t even type that without giggling. Oh, but hon–George Michael, Tom Cruise? Did you date Paul Lynde just to get closer to Rock Hudson and Clift Montgomery? I’m not making fun, I’m just kidding around.

I always think celebrity crushes are interesting because I’ve just.never.had.one. I think I’m missing the gene. People think it’s so strange, but I think one of my sisters still thinks she’s going to marry Dave Gahan, so I’m not the only lunatic on the block. Gahan is pretty killer at finding awesome suits. I’m not sure if Martin Gore is currently married, but if she can insinuate herself into his life as his Glitter And Sequins Coordinator, she could lock that down.

Hey, everybody….she’s 7! We wanted to be a lot of things when we were little. I wanted to be a ballerina or Wonder Woman at her age, so it’s all cool.

BUT this article has to be fabricated. Does anyone here really believe that Brad or Angie EVER discourage those children from being themselves, developing talents or interests…. & they are the LEAST hung up about their kids’ HAIR. Like brad is really in a tizzy that his 7-year old daughter wanted blue extensions for a month. Ridiculous.

It’s all in the media’s further effort to type-cast these children. Mad is the smart one, Pax the wild one, Z the girly-girl, Shiloh the tomboy. Wonder what the twins will be.

I doubt very much that Z will grow up to be a model, because she’ll have every opportunity to be successful doing things that are far more interesting.

She is probably my favorite celeb kid. I love anyone who can give good side-eye while still in elementary school.

Unfortunately Zahara is petite, so a modeling career is probably not in the cards — unless she specializes in makeup and hair modeling, which she could do since she has such a beautiful face.

Maybe Z’s size is a result of being malnourished as a newborn and infant.

She’s the daughter of two famous celebrities she won’t have to be tall or even attractive to be model, her last name will open up all the doors she needs in that industry. Just look at all of those useless, plain looking daughters of celebs that are considered models nowadays, like: Peaches Geldof (sp?), Rumer Willis, Kelly Osbourne, and the never ending stream of rock star progeny that get modelling jobs. If she really wants to be a model when she grows up with her lastname she’ll get to do just that.

Sure – she wants to be a model. Because at that age she knows all about life and has carefully considered her options and has decided on fashion.

Funny how things turn out different than what we suposedly thought at the advanced age of 7!

Angelina ‘pro-style’? Given that more than a few has accused her of being a fugitive librarian based on her walking around clothes, I just can’t see Angelina schooling Zee about fashion. Jewelry… absolutely.

And no… I wouldn’t blame Brad for pumping the breaks on a modeling career. Hell, for all we know, those strippers he used to drive around probably answered an ad for ‘modeling’.
