This is your Open Post for tonight’s MTV Movie Awards, which begin tonight at 9 pm EST. We’ll have full coverage of the event tomorrow! Russell Brand is hosting, which Bedhead is excited about. The last time MTV let Brand host something, he was the catalyst for several controversies, including some “jokes” about the Jonas Brothers’ virginity, if I’m remembering correctly.
For this year’s awards show, there are actually going to be some interesting people on hand to present, and some good performances that I’m looking forward to. The Black Keys are performing!!! HUZZAH! I love them. Fun (fun.) is also performing. While Kristen Stewart (seen in these photos during her Today Show appearance last week) is scheduled to come, Robert Pattinson has dropped out of the show. Kristen and Sparkles are nominated for Best Kiss – so if they win, I guess Kristen will just have to go up there all by herself. (SOB!)
Guess who else is coming? MICHAEL FASSBENDER!!! He’s presenting, probably with Charlize Theron as a way to promote Prometheus. Also presenting: Mila Kunis, Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield, and probably some of The Hunger Games people too. You can see a list of the nominees here.

Same here. Not a Twilight fan, but I hate hearing the same standard, bland, publicist-written responses from actors. At least this girl stands out.
Meh. I haven’t watched since they started having them in Cali – it takes away the suspense of a hurricane blowing them all the blowhards away! *heavy sarcasm* 😉
Wasn’t this show always in California? It was the music awards that moved back and forth.
I never watched the movie awards and the music ones have been boring for about 15 years.

It’s hard when you go from natural dark brunette to that horror she had for the Joan Jett movie and back to dark brunette. Dark brown dye comes out black and when the hair is porous – medium brown comes out black. Then it fades and turns red/orange again. The only solution is to let it grow.
I speak from experience.

And she needs to get some decent extensions. The extensions that she has tend to get clumpy at her scalp.
I love that dress. I wasn’t gonna watch it … but I might to catch a glimpse of Michael Fassbender.

Fassbender presenting with Charlize. I know you would be more excited about Angelina Kaiser, but come on Michael and Charlize would make the hottest possible couple in Hollywood. Angelina just doesn’t have it anymore. Fassbender nad Theron did a sci fi flick together. Now they should make a romance movie together. Charlize looks flawless as usual in a red dress tonight.

Oh God. I think that Jennifer Aniston was one ONLY one of the nominees of “Dirtbag” in the room. And what a surprise. I knew she will win before they said it. What an embarrassment for show.
Well I knew they were in trouble when they showed Kevin Federline. When he is one of your “stars” you know you are in trouble.
i was channel surfing like a pro, when i saw Jennifer Aniston, midspeech. so it threw me off a bit when she thanked Friends. i was wondering whether she’s up there receiving a lifetime achievement award. only afterwards i found out she’s receiving an award for horrible bosses.
i should really stop channel surfing. not good for comprehension.
My husband and I were watching, and he said that Jennifer Anniston seemed drunk. And he has no interest in celebrities or gossip, so he doesn’t know things that are said. I thought she seemed a little stoned.
Finally a dress that fits K-Stew’s tiny frame. She looks good. Keep this stylist, girl!

I was checking mtv cameras online. They are not showing them anymore since I am not watching the show, I would assume they are going/ went to the stage.
I love how hating people try to make it seem like Charlize is all over Fassbender and he ignores her. He teases her and clowns around with her just as much as she does him. They are both just pals. Pals that just happen to be ridiculously good looking.
