This ^^ is a photo LeAnn Rimes tweeted with the message, “Getting ready for the @GMCLA boys”. I had to look it up – GMCLA stands for Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles. I guess she was invited to the awards show or something. And since most of the photo agencies were ignoring the event, LeAnn decided to tweet a photo for us. Because she’s the gift the keeps on giving. Incidentally, I glanced through LeAnn’s Twitter feed, and she’s still bitching about bullying. Yesterday she tweeted, “I love all my fans and friends dearly and it hurts to see any bullying or negativity going on amongst you guys. I’m saddened. All I will say”. So… she’s not playing the victim right now? She says that there’s bullying amongst her fans – fan-on-fan bullying? What does that look like?
LeAnn also has a new interview with a radio station (via Taste of Country). She talked a lot about her music, and how her next album is her last with Curb Records – there’s a lot of subtext in here, I think, especially since her music career is in the toilet right now. But of course, LeAnn pivots to her role as mother. Step-mother. Mother.
More than 15 years into her career, LeAnn Rimes has seemingly come into her own as artist, wife and step-mother of two, striking an important balance between her work and personal life. In an interview with radio station 1130 the Tiger, the Grammy Award-winning singer spoke candidly about the importance of the quality relationships in her life.
“We had our ups and downs for sure,” says Rimes, speaking about her longtime label home, Curb Records. “I always had an open relationship with the head of the label. It’s definitely been a great ride.”
Despite the self-professed functioning business relationship, the singer is quick to divulge that her next studio album is the last contractually-obligated project with the Nashville-based label. With that information in mind, Rimes assures listeners the new album is anything but a rushed project to fulfill a business contract.
“I’m working on a new record … we’re finishing up. I love it,” she confesses. “I’ve written two-thirds of it. It’s super fun and heartbreaking and all the emotions in between. It’s called ‘Spitfire.’”
As she wraps recording in the upcoming summer months, the Texas native will also stay busy traveling the country. Even with her legion of loyal fans, Rimes admits that her favorite place to perform may be a more personal, intimate venue.
The singer spilled that her two young stepsons are fascinated by her career. “I always — at least once a year — have them ask to sing or their class,” she spills. “They want me to sing for their class. It’s fun to be able to do that.”
When she and her husband Eddie Cibrian — who just celebrated their one-year anniversary — are not visiting the local elementary schools, the happy family can be found on the road together. “They come on tour sometimes,” Rimes shares on bringing the kid on tour. “They love the tour bus. It’s like a jungle gym for them.”
But what can fans expect for the string of shows leading up to the release of Rimes’ next project? “We’ve broken things down into an intimate setting,” says the ‘Crazy Women’ singer. “I encourage people to talk to me — open dialogue with my fans.”
“It’s more of a singer-songwriter ‘Storytellers’ situation, where I play stuff off ‘Lady & Gentleman,’ stuff off the new album and some the hits,” says Rimes. “It’s a wide variety of things.”
The boys ask her to come and sing to their class? The boys come on tour with her? I won’t get into it. I just provide the quotes. I guess it’s nice that Mason and Jake Cibrian are growing up in a household where their stepmother would do anything for them. Anything involving a bikini and a spotlight.
Incidentally, I received a tip about Eddie Cibrian’s latest acting gig. Did you know he’s still “acting”? He is! He had a guest spot on Rizzoli & Isles, and apparently the fans of the show weren’t into it at all. He played a veteran with PTSD, and he had a thing for Isles. He wants to “sculpt” her. Or something. I didn’t watch it (I hate that show and how the policework and forensics are represented), but you can read a funny summary here. For someone who is “scared” of her husband’s first wife’s reactions regarding how close she gets to the kids, LeAnn sure loves to poke the bear.

You and me both. My son’s stepmother hasn’t done ANYTHING to provoke me like this, but the first time I saw him go to her for comfort (at a T-Ball game. She was closer, I was coming back from taking a super preggo pee), I saw red. It wasn’t personal, he just needed a hug bc he hurt himself when he made his run, but I wanted to beat the you know what out of her…and that wasn’t even her fault. I’m a momma bear when it comes to my babies. Sharing them with someone else like that is HARD.

Oh my goodness, I just went and had a look at the DM site. She looks manic – she really should have some dignity. Clinging on to his arm constantly is not a good look. He looks totally disinterested.

Why do people in the media(Leann included)keep insisting that Eddie is a prize or God’s gift to women? Eddie’s looks have gone downhill, he can’t act, he sacrifices his own kids so that he can get the benefits of Leann’s money, he lacks respect for all women including his own wife, and he hasn’t worked very much since he hooked up with Leann.
Did you see that clip from the View when they were discussing Brandi’s interview about how she wanted to kill Leann? One of them said(I’m paraphrasing), “Who is this guy[Eddie Cibrian] anyway(in other words he isn’t even a big star) and why are we even taking the time to pay attention to him?” Basically, Eddie isn’t the prize that Leann and the media make him out to be. They need to stop trying to sell Eddie as a “sex symbol” because no one is buying it.

Bella, Brin and Carol Leann is referring to her loyal fan Anthony bullying another of her loyal fan Ericka on Twitter and off. Is been going on for a while and LR knows all about it. The “intimate” setting for her concerts? You are correct Carol, her tickets are not selling. Only her most loyal fans are buying tickets to her “concerts” She has to play at small and intimate venues because she can’t sell tickets. Last month one her concert was cancelled due to lack of tickets sales. The happy tweets and loving stepmom nonsense is all an act. Leann is very insecure with her marriage, career and few “friends” she has. The only people that condone her behavior are her paid employees. Darrel, Mateo and now her paid BFF Lizzie who used to be Brandi’s BFF but jumped ship. Leann’s fall is going to be epic, stay tuned.

Photos of Eddie out and about LA alone? Why am I not surprised? Leann is on the “I don’t tip off the paps” campaign. Last Thursday, she had x17 release a staged photo-op from last week Monday of her covering her face with her hand(because if you cover your face with your hand while smiling for the paps, that proves that you didn’t call them). Instead of trying to manipulate the public and media, why won’t she just do the right thing and stop tipping off the paps? Many people have pointed out how odd that we hardly see any photos of Eddie alone or ever leaving the house. And then these photos of Eddie alone show up right after Leann pretends to be shy? BTW, are the photos of Eddie alone apart of the staged photo-op of Eddie and Leann that DM did yesterday? So she told the pap to get shots of Eddie alone.
Knowing that singing at the kids schools was a major disagreement between Brandi and Eddie, why does she continue to bring it up? The boys didn’t ask Leann to sing at their schools. Remember the sidewalk chalk art that Leann did for Eddie’s birthday? Leann claimed that the kids did all the work while she helped them a litte. But when you look at the photo, you see that Leann did all the work and let the kids fill in those spots where she didn’t write. She is telling them that she is going to sing at their schools.
It’s sad that once again she is using a child to validate her music career and her marriage. Why does she keep talking about the kids in interviews when her husband stated that he didn’t want them to be exposed to any type of public exposure?
Why does the media keeping on trying to force us to believe that Eddie is hot and sexy? He looks old and drunk and miserable.

So the photos of Eddie alone are of him shopping at Rite Aid. Which is odd because remember when Leann had her publicist say that she has never ever shopped at a Rite Aid in Calabasas(in response to a story about how she was at a Rite Aid in Calabasas looking at pregnancy tests) despite the fact that there were photos of her coming out of a Rite Aid in Calabasas?
The photos of Eddie out and about LA are definately set up and staged. Eddie is reduced to setting up staged photo-ops in a parking lot of a Rite Aid because being with Leann didn’t make his career take off like he had hoped it would.

Make note, she also can’t afford to take a full band on the road with her. So she has 2-3 musicians who play “unplugged”. So these “intimate” shows are much cheaper to play and then when she can’t sell more than a couple hundred tickets (including 2 for 1 deals and “free ticket with purchase of…” type promotions).
She brings her “tour manager” with her as well as her paid companion/makeup artist/hairstylist with her.

If she keeps up talking so much, she will lose repeat business. And, yes, you should promote new music and you get tired of old songs, but you have to throw in enough to keep the casual fan happy. This isn’t just LeAnn. I have so many acts I go to, and they are so tired of singing the classics, the same songs year after year, and add in new music, but have to keep it to no more than three, four or five songs at the most, because they realize the audience just isn’t happy when they add more and don’t get to hear more of their favorites. I feel for longtime acts, but it is the way it is, especially when they don’t sell many new albums. Madonna gets away with nine or ten new songs, even on her last album that has only sold so far 1.5 million, but she is a pop act and there’s choreography and such that can enhance songs that people don’t know.
If this tour has so few older songs, LeAnn is going to see she needs to add more.
And shut up. I love a little banter from my acts, but just enough to leave me wanting more, not overtalking. People only have usually 90 minutes with the act. They want as many songs as they can get in that period. Even Gaga is getting complaints from overtalking and preaching, but her’s is a two-hour act, not an hour and a half, and lots of dancing, so far different. Plus, she has young gay teens who hang on her every word. But even many Little Monsters have been complaining. But that crowd is far different from LeAnn’s crowd. Be personable and accessible without overdoing it.
I went to a rock concert, and Night Ranger was the opening act. I wasn’t that familiar with them except Sister Chrisitian. Dear God, the lead singer talked so much my eyes were glazed over. I just wanted to scream, SHUT THE FUCK UP and play some music. Most around me felt that way.
