Ever since The Great Escape of Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise’s second wife, Nicole Kidman, has been keeping a much, much lower profile. Sources claimed that Nicole was pretty much “in hiding” for weeks after Katie Holmes filed for divorce, and Nicole purposefully did NOT issue any kind of direct statements either way, in support of Tom or in support of Katie. Of course, some sources claimed that Nicole was definitely Team Holmes, and even offering Kate some support (via phone calls). Some other sources claimed that Nicole couldn’t publicly take sides against Tom, and that if she was forced to come out and say anything, she would have to support Tom – because otherwise Isabella and Connor would be sent to Sea Org or something. Anyway, Tom and Katie settled everything very quickly and thus, Nicole did not have to take sides or issue any kind of statements. She still kept her head down… until now!
These are photos of Nicole over the weekend in London. She’s one of the faces of Omega, and she attended an Omega event, and then saw some of the Olympic events. For the Omega event, Nicole wore this navy blue Azzedine Alaia dress and Manolo Blahnik shoes. Some sites are claiming the dress is black, but I’m pretty sure it’s navy, right? Right. Alaia does a lot of narrow, close-cut dresses and gowns for tall Amazon women, so I’m kind of surprised to see this silhouette from the label, especially with the fuller skirt. It’s okay on Nicole – I don’t know, though. I think it’s a bit cutesy for her, honestly. That skirt flounce screams “Zooey Deschanel” to me.

Hahaha I was thinking the same thing. It’s probably because her forehead is botoxed within an inch of it’s life. Why do women do this to themselves? She looks ridiculous! The lips, the forehead. Sigh and I bet she’s on of the one who swears they have never had anything done.

I think the dress is wonderful, I’d love to own it .. except I’m far too short and busty to ever carry it off. I love it on her, though. The dress paired with the shoes, though, eh. I can’t get behind that pairing.

In the 3rd photo you can tell the HUGE amount of foundation Nicole is wearing…..
As Nicole has gorgeous skin (avoiding the sun her whole life + sunscreen)…I feel like she’s wearing that much to mask her eye/nose wrinkles which are harder to get rid of with botox.
*Sigh*…I always love celebrities that wear minimal foundation a la Halle Berry, Nicole, Angelina Jolie, Charlize…but lately Charlize and Nicole have been wearing a lot.

I wish she would stick to red hair because it warms her up so much but I understand that now that she’s over 40 the grays start coming in and you have to pretty much go blond or color your hair all the time.

Like her acting and like this dress on her. And she does seem like a nice person. But she’s been plumping her lips and face again..why grr! Her eyes are so lifted and she has the Botox crazy eye look, she needs to stop, it is Stepford like. Why does she do this?!

Yeah her face looks freshly jacked here, which is probably why she’s been keeping a low profile more than anything else. At least her eyebrows aren’t pulled back toward her hairline like they have been in the past.
I am fascinated by why a woman so naturally beautiful chose to mess with her face so much.
I do like the dress on her, it has a retro vibe yet is mod and fresh.

Oh how I wish she’d go back to her natural curls. They were frizzy but they were beautiful. Natural curls are making a come back! I like her with more red in her hair, doesn’t wash her out as much when the cameras flash

I have really curly hair and I can say that continual styling wrecks the curl. When you constantly brush and hot curl or flat-iron curly hair, as it grows the hair that has been styled will not curl. She’ll basically have to let ALL that hair grow out and NOT style it for the curl to return.
But… I don’t think that her hair will ever be as curly again. Nic’s hair looks a lot thinner than it did when it was really curly. In order for the hair to curl it wraps around itself and forms a little curl. When you loose hair due to age or over styling then the hair that is left does not have the all the hair to wrap around and support each other. What’s left still twines around, but just ends up a fuzzy mess.
As far as the red – red-heads go gray very early. I think that Nic may have a lot of gray.

dress looks fabulous from the waist up but would prefer a straight, knee length skirt instead of the too youthful ‘flounce’..don’t like the shoes with it either. Gorgeous legs though, still, it’s too girly girl for a woman her age.

Nicole was not hiding she filming a movie and before the whole Tom/kat thing happend the last time Nicole was seen was on her birthday other then that there were no pictuers of her. Stop try to make it more then what it is.

I highly doubt she was in hiding. She has her own life, her own kids, husband, career. She wont do anything for Tom or Katie at this point …. give me a break.
She looks great. At her age why not get some help, those that do nothing — and I mean nothing at ALL look horrid ( yes there are exceptions my grandmother was one… flawless skin, no wrinkles but she as a bit chubby so that helped) but its an exception not a rule…and I think she looks great.

Nicole was beautiful. Look on IMBD to see her radically changed face. Plus the high forehead hairstyle is dreadful. Nicole is a fine actress though. Meryl Streep has aged gracefully, and still gets work..i truly admire Meryl. Nicole looks better now-she has curves.

Her styling has really gone off the rails imho. That navy dress is so tight on top she looks like a blue sausage. The skirt is too short, too Zoey, and makes her look silly. And the way her hair is pinned back? Good LORD that’s just awful. No one can maintain the magnificence of youth but at LEAST look in the mirror? And the shot of her at the Olympic event reminds me totally of Gina what’shername from Thelma & Louise. At least SHE had funny teeth to explain her lip placement…

She looks very strained. Her artificially smooth face looks so tight, it’s painful to watch. She’s always styling herself like a little girl/doll – pins in her hair, cute little dresses etc. but this dress is too young for her, period. The top of it is fine but the bottom looks ridiculous on a woman over 40. Gentle A-line or smooth and straight would have been so much better. And the length just above the knees would have been far more elegant. She looks like she’s trying too hard.

I think Nicole looks classy, sophisticated and not overly done or gaudy, as do so many women. I also like understated jewelry. She looks great in Navy with her soft coloring. But our eyes are drawn too much to the shoes because they are a bit too overly complicated for the look of the dress. That’s my only negative comment, otherwise, a Great look!
