You know how Liberty Ross took her Condor of Doom on the road two nights ago and showed up at the LA premiere of Lawless looking pretty awesome? JEAH! Well, it seems like Liberty’s estranged husband also saw those photos, so he arranged a nice little pap’ing for himself too – you can see the photos here. Rupert Sanders was photographed yesterday wearing his wedding ring and smiling for the cameras, because I guess that’s all that it takes to get back with your wife after you’ve gone biscuit-diving in a Mini Cooper with a 22-year-old lip-biter. According to TMZ, Rupert is “begging” Liberty Ross to give him another chance (he is “desperate” says one source) but Liberty is “playing it cool” and she’s “non-committal”. Pro-Rupert sources say that Liberty has imposed conditions if they are to be reconciled, conditions like: no more cheating and Rupert must try to be a better husband. Pro-Rupert sources also tell TMZ that Liberty is drawing this out, and a reconciliation could possibly take “months”. But what do other sources say?
Liberty Ross is staying strong post-scandal. Although the British model, 33, hasn’t been wearing her wedding ring since her husband Rupert Sanders, 41, was caught cheating with actress Kristen Stewart, 22, a source tells Us Weekly “no decisions have been made” about their 15-year relationship.
The Snow White and the Huntsman director Sanders was photographed engaged in a steamy makeout session with Snow White actress Stewart on July 17. Ross learned of her husband’s affair the week before Us Weekly’s exclusive photos emerged on July 24.
“Nothing has been filed. It’s still too early to tell what will happen,” the source tells Us. “She is talking to and seeing Rupert now for the kids, but as far as the marriage she’s still processing everything that happened.”
The former British Vogue cover girl shares daughter Skyla, 7, and son Tennyson, 5, with Sanders. The director did issue a public apology to his wife in a statement to Us on July 25, saying, “I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family.”
As for the future of their relationship, the source tells Us, “No decisions have been made. It’s been very hard on her dealing with this and all the media attention. She is very strong and working through it and keeping private about it.”
Ross stepped out on the red carpet Wednesday for her first time since the scandal. Looking stylish in a silky green button-down shirt, Ross smiled for the cameras at the Hollywood premiere of Lawless. The only thing missing from her ensemble? Her wedding ring.
The one thing that bothered me about this story is the “It’s been very hard on her dealing with this and all the media attention” quote. I mean… Liberty has been courting the press like a PR professional – keeping her mouth shut, blogging a cryptic Condor of Doom, not issuing any public statements, but still making sure that she’s photographed looking great (and with a crucifix to ward off trampires), and she just walked a red carpet of a premiere for a film she had nothing to do with. It’s okay to admit (and admire) that Liberty is playing the media, and that she’s working the media’s attention to her advantage. We don’t have to pretend like she’s bothered by the attention.
Meanwhile, Page Six also has a “How Liberty is Doing” story this morning too. Page Six’s source says, “She won’t hide at home. Liberty has shown incredible grace going through a difficult situation where all the intimate details are very public. She is a very emotionally smart woman. She knows she can take her time and make her own decision, one that would be the best for her and her family, and not be persuaded by what other people, and the media, think of her and the situation.” Page Six also says that Rupert and Liberty are undergoing marriage counseling right now, and that it’s very much “unclear” as to whether she will ultimately forgive Rupert. The source sounded hopeful, though: “One thing that is clear is that before this, Rupert and Liberty had a wonderful relationship . . . One affair does not erase a 10-year history and many shared experiences together. It is just whether they are strong enough to weather it.” Ugh. I hope she doesn’t take him back.

It’s the lip-biter’s fault. Did anyone know who Liberty Ross was before? Um, no. It’s like a friend said recently, “Everyone’s milking this mess to their benefit”. Yes, I said it and I’m prepared for the backlash.
I 100 percent agree. The stans have jumped on me, but everyone is riding this out for their benefit (which I can somewhat understand). I still find Rupert Sanders the most disgusting, with all the waving and smiling at the paps and the fact that he’s old enough to be KStew’s dad. Liberty’s loving the attention, RPattz is being far more classy but slightly using this to garner more goodwill (the tidbits here and there about being homeless, etc…instead of just saying no comment or having his people tell the talk show hosts that he will walk off the set if they bring the scandal up), Rupert Sanders (ugh, seriously waving and smiling at the paps and fucking a girl young enough to be his daughter) is getting more projects and his name is known, and KStew (whose career I thought might be over last week) is parlaying this into more indie roles. There’s also the fact that those photos were taken two weeks before they were even published, and yet supposedly no one found out until a day or two before..One of the huge celeb gossip scandals of the year? No one tried to get quotes until two days before? Yeah, right. I think all four knew and figured the studios would buy the photos up or work out of a deal. RPattz just wouldn’t care or would break up with KStew quietly without anyone ever finding out the reason why, and Liberty and Sanders would keep on keeping on. When that didn’t happen, they all decided to play this shit out for the maximum benefit.

Okay A, I did not know that (re:exposure timeline). Now it makes sense. Intelligent neutrals have been saying that something is missing in this story, that the public isn’t getting the whole picture. More and more, I feel like we, the people, are getting played by all four of them. I mean, why is this woman, who has been so quiet and cryptic since this mess was exposed, is showing up at a red carpet event for a movie that she has nothing to do with. In my country, there is a saying, “There is more in the mortar than the pestle”. In other words, this mess is like a Transformer, there’s more than meets the eye.
“A” has a few facts wrong. The pictures were taken a week before the story broke (6 days in fact). US would have put their narrative together and finalized their plan before contacting Stewart and Sander’s people for comment.
Don’t be so sure Sanders is getting more projects. Yes, it looks like he has a new one, but that is in place of SWATH2. He is off of that, count on it.
And Stewart hasn’t gained any new indie roles as a result. She actually gave one up. The one that was announced has been in the works for months, long before the scandal broke. She had her pick of scripts before all this, in no way does it help her. It may even hurt.
Liberty and her brother Atticus Ross, who she went with to the premiere, are aparently both close with Nick Cave who wrote the screenplay/ music for Lawless. So I suppose that was her reason to be there.
On this notion that she’s suddenly appearing on red carpets… She could have walked a lot of red carpets in her career. We are only noticing now because she is part of this scandal.
@ A, Last year when Rob was on Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy asked Rob if he bought a house yet and Rob said no that hes homeless and just lives in hotels. I guess Jimmy finds it amusing cause everytime Rob has been back to his show hes always asking him if hes still homeless. It has nothing to do with the scandel.

Its just a question I’ve been asking… who tipped of US Mag (they said they got the tip about Stewart and that’s why the photog was following her). There are some theories around saying the Rupert/Kristen fling heated up during the Austrailian promo tour for Snow White. Then soon after returning, they get caught. I’m just curious who lead US mag to the story.

Maybe not. Statistics say that many men who cheat are perfectly satisfied in their marriages and just want a little excitement, not to break up their families.
I actually experienced that once, when a business acquaintance and I had been flirting for a while and I found out he had a wife.
“How long have you been married?” I asked. He said less than a year (?!?!!) And I kind of shook my head and said, “That bad, huh?”
I will never forget his response: “No, actually, we’re fine; it’s just that this is so much better.” After that I sent him on his merry way, but that always comes to mind when I hear of cheating spouses and makes me wonder how many truly think their marriages are fine.
The fact that these two have become a household name is more reasons not to like Kristen Stewart. Im sorry but Liberty is LOVING all this attention. Something about the way she smiles just looks like she is up to something. Rupert too! I actually felt sick looking at those pics of him waving to the paps.

In addition she made her own money as a model before they married. Snow White is his first movie. I doubt there was a pre-nup, unless it was to protect her assets.

I did feel sorry for her until I saw these red carpet photos. You can’t ask for privacy and then go out and walk a red carpet for a film you have no ties to. Couple that with his waving at the paps and now my side-eye is thrown.

No way. I think the cheating was real (well, she might not have cheated on RPattz because things that have come out have made me kind of doubt the veracity of those two being in a monogamous relationship, but she certainly hooked up with a married dude), but the “reactions” to the cheating are completely staged. If it was just a stunt, it would have been with someone like Garrett Hedlund or Sam Clafin. Like I said before, the photos were taken two weeks before they were published. Yet many of the outlets claim that everyone involved only found out a day or two before. Please. US Weekly would be digging hardcore into KStew’s life trying to find more dirt, trying to work on Rob or his friends for multiple days to get some sort of dirt, etc. I wouldn’t be shocked if RPattz “forgave” her (like Kaiser said), but he’s getting a slight career boost out of this and she may not want to go back anyway if they were just some PR/open relationship.

Honey, you’ve got some facts wrong. SWATH DVD is tracking down, not up. Cosmopolis would likely have been at number one on the Specialty list anyway. Kristen would have gotten attention for walking the red carpet at TIFF anyway. If she was looking for a PR stunt to generate more TIFF attention, she’d have gotten a hell of a lot more by walking the red carpet arm in arm with Rob, than creating a scandal leaving her in disgrace. BD2 is also tracking down, a lot of Twilight fans were turned off by the mess. They’ll see it once, but not numerous times like they used to. And no way would Rob walk arm in arm with her at BD2. That would kill his independent career, which hangs on generating interest/respect among men. Even if they did get back together, he would keep it on the DL for a long time.

Well, you say get back together, but if it was a publicity stunt all four would have had to be in one it. Meaning they never broke up in the first place which would explain why she’s wearing his stuff in the pictures. I still cannot believe a person who has grown up in the business would be so stupid to get caught. I don’t care that she cheated, but it’s how she got caught that is so bizarre. The cheating was real. I think it was Liberty who found out her skank hubby was cheating on her and called US Weekly. She wanted revenge — not only on Sanders but especially on KStew, who acted all friendly to her on the set and then turned around and shanked her in the back. She wants to destroy KStew, and considering the shitstorm KStew has been facing the past few weeks, I’d say she’s doing a not-so-bad job of it.
Oh boy, those photos… how much do you want to bet the ones US published were the milder ones? I think they have a lot of much juicier photos, and maybe a video as well. So they went to KStew and her agent and told them ‘fess up or we publish. And KStew couldn’t ‘fess up fast enough. If there really are other photos around she’s probably praying to every god there is they never see the light of day.
As far as divorce is concerned, I think Liberty is biding her time. If she really wants to do major damage to KStew, she will file for divorce in the UK on the grounds of adultery right before the start of the promos for BD2 and name KStew as the co-respondent. So much more fun than a blah no-fault California divorce where none of the dirt gets thrown at the public. This woman is out for blood. I don’t think we’ve heard the last from her yet.

I wholeheartedly agree that we haven’t seen all the pics. According to the first photographer, Kristen and Rupert were together for several hours. Also, when that same papz realized what he had, he supposedly called US Weekly for backup. All this and we have 55 pics to show for it? Not a chance. For whatever reason, US Weekly is hoarding the truly nasty stuff.
Directors cheating on their spouses or significant others is commonplace. James Cameron cheated on Linda Hamilton while filming Titanic and then went on to make Avatar. Look at scummy Woody Allen! Cheated with Mia Farrow’s adopted daughter. At the time everyone thought his career was over, but it isn’t. And the public will forgive KStew. They forgave Elizabeth Taylor (though she’s no Liz) but you get the point.

Oh God, I feel dirty defending Rupert but for the sake of accuracy apparently he was NOT “waving” to the papz. According to initial reports, he “confronted” the papz after calling the police on them. Seems he paid Liberty and the kids a visit and the papz were lined up outside the house doing their thing. Liberty was in the pool with the children and the papz were taking pics of them which sent Rupert into a rage.
Honestly, looks to me like the guy is two steps from a full on nervous breakdown. Fine with me. He deserves that and worse.
