Actually, she does look her age, but she has that greasy, frozen, wide eyed look over BOTOXing produces. The guys’ faces look relaxed.

Why all the hate against Botox? Sometimes it looks good. She looks smooth everywhere else. Why? Because you know she takes care of herself via exercise and eating healthy.

Well, if you can TELL if someone has had Botox, then no, it doesn’t look great. It shouldn’t be so obvious.
The owner of the salon I go to gets Botox and you could NEVER tell except that she looks incredibly youthful-her face is still mobile. The problem is that people become addicted and don’t know when to stop.
Sometimes you can’t tell in still shots, but it becomes obvious on video or in person when the ‘toxed victim starts to speak.
Sorry, but it looks VERY odd and alien-like.
I’m not against Botox if it makes someone feel better about themselves but the key is a good surgeon and a LIGHT touch.

I also dont think its always as noticeable in person as it is in pics. I used to botox around my eyes and thought it looked good/natural but then I saw a pic of myself and I had that “deer caught in headlight” look, kind of like Denise Richards (charlie’s ex)gets. I stopped using after that b/c it was so odd to see in a pic but yet when i looked in mirror it seemed fine. My Dr. also went a little over board that time I think b/c I had to have a touch up since something was missed and I had this odd wrinkling going on from the muscle that was missed.
That said, it can be a great thing if done properly and in moderation.

hmmmm my husband and I were discussing this couple over the weekend and we both think it a PR relationship. For a lot of reasons but we both agreed mostly that she is too old for Mark, who is a perhaps a little too well known for liking them barely legal.

I agree “hello” she does look great and whatever she is doing works. If you start to look anywhere near your age, people call you out and say you looked haggard. If you use botox, they tell you look fake. The first 2-3 weeks after having it done, the effects are pretty dramatic, but after a month or so things shift softly back into place. Rock on Gwen!

And Gwen can rock out till she’s 70 or older, like mick jagger, keith richards, david bowie…and so many other male rock stars who look ridiculous but loveable when they are 60 and wrinkled but still strutting their mojo….

Oh, I remember Georgia King, she’s been in a few British girly-sleepover type films. She’s not bad but a little annoying. Not as bad as Juno Temple though. I think it was Wild Child that happened to pop on the TV a while ago and they were both in it – had to turn the damn thing off.

I like Gwen too but I saw her on Ellen the other day (don’t judge-it was on at the gym!) and I couldn’t believe how ‘tox-y she looked
I still find her beautiful though.
Oh and speaking of TOXED-I’ve been watching Season 4 of Damages and Glenn Close is starting to look like a wax figure. So sad because I adore her but she REALLY looks…strange…

I’m pretty sure Gwen had an eyebrow lift before she started the Loreal campaign. She had quite a few wrinkles around her eyes before that and now it’s totally smooth and in some pics she looks wonky. I think she went a step further than Botox… I’m disappointed because I’m a huge fan and she was aging really well. She looks so different now… I think she might have gotten a nose job too.

She’s not ‘toxy’. She’s also wearing black tights with her outfit which is a sure sign that a) she’s had kids and b) she’s over 30. I did exactly the same thing. I wouldn’t tox if I could afford it, but you can bet I’d wear that blazer and Nicholas K suspender pants style kamikaze get up.

Gwen’s face is almost completely different. The botox is obvious but I wonder is she also didnt have a lower face lift. she now has an unnatural sharper chin line and the lower half looks very different, thinner and pulled, like what happens sometimes with lower lifts.

She wears so many layers of make up it’s hard to discern what she has/hasn’t had done. IMO she looks overdone and seems to be in full-on hair and make up 24/7 regardless of the circumstances — i.e. a casual outing or performing on stage.
Ironically, it’s the more low maintenance celebs in her age group that look more youthful — Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz, Sandra Bullock, etc., etc.

When will women realise that plastic surgery doesn’t make you look young, it makes you look like someone who’s had plastic surgery (ie wierd)? I mean, a bit of skillful work can do wonders for a woman’s (or a man’s) appearance when they’re in their late 50s or older, but this craze whereby any actress or singer over the age of 35 feels the need to fill her face with crap has to stop. The likes of Rachel Weisz, Salma Hayek or Julianne Moore(if they have had work done, it’s been done well) are so much more attractive than scary Nicole Kidman or Kylie Minogue.

I think she looks good still but around her eyes if she pushes it any further, she will not look good any longer. Also her style (like what she is wearing with her band) is so 1999. Gwen has great style but I swear she wore that same get up over 10 years ago!

Ita. Ever since I read that interview where she talked about her obsession with her weight and fitting into sample sizes, she annoyed me. Also, I think she did dye Kingston’s hair which, I think, sends the child the message that he wasn’t good enough the way he was. Her kids are adorable, but their names are obnoxious.

New Girl was amazing yesterday. I always liked Zooey Deschanel, but never really thought she was a particularly good actress but lately her timing and delivery in New Girl is just spot-on. First episodes of the show weren’t as promising and Jess was more annoying than funny but the last few episodes, especially the newest ones were just great. I hope they won’t cancel it because of that ratings drop.

Okay, I’m chiming in.
I think Gwen has had some work done and not just Botox.
Botox is great IF it’s done right and minimally from a reputable doctor at an actual clinic and you still need to do your research.
Botox was created to help people who had serious facial muscle problems like crossed-eyes and muscle spasms that caused them to clench their jaws and throats so that they could barely speak.
It was discovered after some time that it helped to smooth lines and wrinkles.
A little Botox helps a lot if it’s done by a qualified doctor and you younger ladies who think you’d never use it will probably reconsider at some point.
I’ve used minimal Botox for about 4 years but only between the eyebrows to prevent, “mad lines” and it does lift the inner ‘brows just a TINY BIT.
If you get Botox above and to the OUTSIDE of the eyebrows, you can end up with that Vulcan/Dr. Spock look.
Fillers are different. You should avoid those for the most part and some of those are used in areas that have never been approved.
As for Gwen’s looks…I think she looks awesome.
I do think she’s getting on a bit to dress like that and I ABSOLUTELY DON’T BELIEVE she is using drugstore hair color and I think she often uses extensions.
I also think one of the reasons that she looks younger than her band mates is because most men don’t take care of their skin and the other reason is that I think she avoids the sun and doesn’t smoke or drink and has pretty much always avoided that mess and it does make a difference.
